Samsung has introduced a new approach to managing motion sickness through its Galaxy Buds 4 Pro and the Hearapy app. The solution uses a controlled audio signal instead of medication or physical remedies, targeting the inner ear to reduce symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, and sweating.

Motion sickness affects nearly one-third of people and occurs when the body receives conflicting signals. The balance system in the inner ear detects movement, while the eyes may focus on a stationary object like a phone or book. This mismatch triggers stress responses. Existing solutions have largely relied on medication or acupressure.

Samsung’s method is based on research conducted at Nagoya University in Japan. The study identified that a 100 Hz sine wave can stimulate the vestibular system, which is responsible for balance. In testing, participants who listened to this tone at 80 to 85 dB for 60 seconds reported reduced symptoms during car travel. The effect was observed to last up to two hours.

The Hearapy app delivers this tone through a Galaxy smartphone, with a built-in timer set to 60 seconds and volume calibrated to around 85 dB. For the effect to work, the sound must be played without interference from music or external noise, and both ears must be exposed before travel.

The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro are designed to reproduce this frequency accurately. The earbuds feature a larger mid-bass driver area, increased by nearly 20 percent compared to the previous model, along with an updated two-way speaker system. They support 24-bit/96 kHz audio via Samsung Seamless Codec Ultra High Quality, enabling precise sound output.

The earbuds also include Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation supported by six microphones, which detect ambient noise and generate opposing signals to reduce it. Adaptive EQ further adjusts sound in real time based on fit and surroundings. These features help maintain a stable 100 Hz tone, which is required for the system to work as intended.

Upgraded Audio Hardware in Galaxy Buds 4 Pro

The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro include upgraded audio hardware with a wider woofer that increases the effective vibration area by nearly 20 percent compared to the previous generation. Combined with a tweeter, the two-way speaker system supports 24-bit/96kHz high-resolution audio, which allows more detailed bass and clearer treble reproduction. The speaker placement also helps improve noise cancellation performance while reducing wind interference.

Adaptive ANC and EQ for Personalized Sound

The earbuds include Enhanced Adaptive ANC technology, which analyzes surrounding noise and wearing conditions in real time and automatically adjusts noise reduction levels. The Adaptive EQ system evaluates how the earbuds sit in the user’s ears and dynamically tunes frequencies to deliver more accurate sound tailored to the listener.

Super Clear Call Technology for Better Voice Quality

Both models also include Super Clear Call technology. This feature uses super wideband Bluetooth processing and machine learning-based noise reduction to separate the user’s voice from background noise, helping maintain clearer conversations even in busy environments.

The earbuds integrate with the Galaxy ecosystem and support AI assistants such as Bixby, Google Gemini, and Perplexity. Users can activate these assistants using voice commands or hands-free controls. The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro additionally support head gesture controls for managing calls and assistant interactions. Pairing is simplified through automatic device detection when the charging case is opened near a compatible Galaxy device, with controls accessible through the Quick Panel interface.

The Galaxy Buds 4 feature an 11 mm speaker, three microphones, Bluetooth 6.1 connectivity, Auracast support, and IP54 water resistance. Battery capacity is 45 mAh per earbud with a 515 mAh charging case, delivering up to 5 hours of playback with ANC enabled and up to 24 hours total with the case. With ANC disabled, playback increases to 6 hours per charge and up to 30 hours total.

The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro include a two-way driver system, higher battery capacity at 61 mAh per earbud, and IP57 water resistance. Playback reaches up to 6 hours with ANC enabled and 26 hours total, or up to 7 hours per charge and 30 hours total with ANC disabled. Both models support Android 12 or newer devices with at least 1.5 GB RAM.

With Samsung Galaxy Unpacked just days away, leaks are starting to fill in the remaining gaps, including how much Samsung’s next earbuds might cost.

Galaxy Buds 4 Pro render

According to tipster Roland Quandt, the Galaxy Buds4 are expected to retail for $179.99 in the US, while the Buds4 Pro could come in at $249.99. If accurate, that’s identical to the launch pricing of the Buds3 lineup last year.

That’s notable. With component costs fluctuating and many brands quietly raising prices year over year, Samsung appears to be holding the line, at least this time.

In Europe, early retailer listings are pointing in the same direction. Italian retailer Euronics has already shown the Buds4 Pro at €249, while the standard Buds4 are tipped to land at €179. Other listings, including on Amazon in select markets, have surfaced ahead of schedule, although not all of them display final pricing.

Still, the consistency across multiple sources suggests these numbers are likely locked in.

Same price, new design?

Recent dummy units and renders indicate that Samsung is refreshing the design. Both models are expected to adopt a flatter stem look. The distinctive Blade Lights seen on the Buds3 Pro appear to be gone, signaling a shift toward a cleaner, more understated aesthetic.

At $249.99, the Buds4 Pro would go head-to-head with Apple AirPods Pro 2, which also retail at $249 in the US. Sony and Google’s premium offerings occupy a similar range.

The Galaxy Buds4 and Buds4 Pro are expected to debut alongside the Galaxy S26 lineup at Unpacked on February 25 in San Francisco. As usual, pre-orders should follow shortly after.

Nothing is official until Samsung takes the stage, but if these leaks hold, the Buds4 series may deliver an updated design without asking buyers to pay more.

Galaxy Buds 4

The photos, shared by known leaker TechTalkTV, show non-functional retail display models. While they don’t confirm specs, they do give us our clearest look yet at the redesigned hardware.

A flatter, cleaner look

The biggest change is immediately noticeable: both models now feature a flat stem design. It’s a shift away from the slightly rounded or angular stems we saw on the Buds 3 lineup. The new look feels simpler and more understated.

On the Pro model, the stems appear to have a brushed metallic finish. It looks more refined, and possibly more practical too, since brushed surfaces hide fingerprints better than glossy ones.

Galaxy Buds 4 Pro

Another small but important tweak: the charging contacts now sit on the stems themselves, matching a new horizontal orientation inside the case.

And yes, the Blade Lights are gone.

If you liked the LED strips on the Buds 3 Pro, this might sting a bit. Samsung seems to be dialing things back visually in favor of a cleaner, more mature design language.

The charging case has also been reshaped. Instead of the more upright style from recent generations, this one appears flatter and rectangular, designed to rest more securely on surfaces.

Standard vs Pro differences

Based on the dummy units, the standard Galaxy Buds 4 seem to stick with an open-ear approach — no silicone tips. That likely means a more breathable fit but less passive isolation.

The Buds 4 Pro, on the other hand, retain in-ear tips, which should help with noise isolation and active noise cancellation. Color options in the leaks include black for the Pro model and white variants for the standard version, aligning with earlier renders.

The Buds 4 lineup is shaping up to be a more polished, less flashy evolution rather than a radical redesign. Sometimes that’s exactly what a product line needs.

Samsung’s next set of premium earbuds has surfaced early on the web. An image shared by Mohammed Khatri on X shows both the Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 and Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro from all angles in the black color option.

The biggest visual change is the stems. Both models feature redesigned stems with a flat outer edge. Samsung also seems to be changing how the earbuds sit inside the case. Instead of being placed vertically like the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 generation, the new Buds 4 series rests horizontally in the charging case.

While it’s not a big deal for users, Samsung must have needed to rework the internal layout to accommodate the design change. The case itself has a transparent finish, offering a partial view of the earbuds inside.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 versus Buds 4 Pro

As before, Samsung is keeping a clear distinction between the standard and Pro models. The regular Galaxy Buds 4 do not include silicone ear tips, similar to their predecessor. The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, on the other hand, retains silicone tips for a tighter seal and potentially better noise isolation.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro

The leaked images also show what buyers can expect in the box. Both models appear to include a USB charging cable. The Pro version will additionally ship with extra silicone ear tips, which are standard for earbuds designed to offer a more customizable fit.

Beyond design, the Galaxy Buds 4 series is expected to bring new software features. According to a previous report, both earbuds will support head gestures, find-your-phone functionality, and improvements to Samsung’s Interpreter mode.

There’s no official word yet from Samsung on pricing or the exact launch timing. But with images already circulating online, it may not be long before the company makes everything official.

While the company hasn’t officially confirmed dates yet, a recent tweet has offered us a full roadmap of all the big 2026 announcements. So let’s check it out.

Early 2026: Samsung’s Galaxy Unpack 2026

The first major date in Samsung’s 2026 calendar looks to be 25th February 2026, which is when the Galaxy Unpacked event will take place. This will have the South Korean tech giant unveil its highly anticipated Galaxy S26 lineup, consisting of the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

While it is unclear if the brand will announce other products during the event, February could likely include the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro launches as Samsung’s flagship TWS, along with the new Galaxy Book 6 series that should be powered by the next-gen processors.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra in Cobalt Violet

Mid 2026: Galaxy Z Series & More

Samsung’s second big event of 2026 is expected around July. The company is expected to unveil its latest foldable devices, like the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and potentially a Galaxy Z Flip 8 FE model. This would continue its strategy of refreshing both premium and affordable foldables.

Alongside these, Samsung could also roll out updates to its new Galaxy Watch lineup that may include the top end Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and the Galaxy Watch 9 series. Apart from this, the tip from Jason C. on X (formerly Twitter) also points to the Galaxy Tab S12 series debuting in the middle of the year. Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report, so take this news with a pinch of salt for now.

And now, we finally have their pricing details. So let’s check it out.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro & Galaxy Buds 4 Price Leak

The South Korean tech giant’s upcoming flagship earbuds were spotted in a new leak from Billbil-kun on X (formerly Twitter). Looking at the tweet, the latest information has revealed both the pricing details and launch timeline ahead of any official announcement from Samsung. The brand is reportedly set to unveil the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro in the European market around the same time as its flagship Galaxy S26 series of smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro

To recall, the premium phones could make their global debut in late February during the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event. The new leak also revealed the color variants of the Galaxy Buds 4 series, in Black and White colorways for both models. Some rumors have also hinted at there being a new Apricot version and other new hues, but this still seems unconfirmed at the moment.

Meanwhile, listings for the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro have also surfaced in the Samsung Members app in Europe. According to the leak, Samsung isn’t hiking prices this year despite expected upgrades to design and features. The Galaxy Buds 4 are tipped to debut at around 179 Euros, while the premium Galaxy Buds 4 Pro could land at about 249 Euros in major European markets like France.

Samsung‘s next generation of premium TWS earbuds might be launching globally soon. The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro and Galaxy Buds 4 have surfaced on multiple certification websites, confirming their availability in multiple regions. So here’s everything you need to know.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Series Launching Soon

Both the Galaxy Buds 4 (model SM-R540) and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro (model SM-R640) have appeared in certification listings in several key markets, including Malaysia’s SIRIM regulator, the US FCC database, SGS listings, and India’s BIS authority. These certifications typically arrive in the final stages of pre-launch testing and hint that Samsung is preparing to roll out these earbuds globally very soon.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro

From the FCC documentation, the standard Buds 4 are confirmed to support both Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy, although specific tech specs like Bluetooth version or battery details were not disclosed in the filings. Meanwhile, the SGS entries further confirm that the charging cases for the two models, namely EP-QR540 for the Galaxy Buds 4 and EP-QR640 for the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. Lastly, the BIS certification indicates that Samsung is gearing up for official distribution in the Indian market.

The timing of these certification sightings is also in line with widespread reports that Samsung could unveil the Galaxy Buds 4 series alongside the flagship Galaxy S26 lineup of smartphones. So we can expect the announcement during Samsung’s first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2026, which might be set for late February 2026. Keep in mind that the official specs, pricing, and exact release date are still at large. So take this news with a pinch of salt and stick around for more.

Losing your phone at home is a universal experience — it slips between the cushions, hides under a blanket, or somehow ends up on top of the fridge. Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Buds 4 Pro might actually help with that. A new leak hints at a simple feature that could turn the buds’ charging case into a tiny rescue device, and it’s the sort of small quality-of-life upgrade that tends to matter more than most spec bumps.

The latest leak points to a new “Find Your Phone” function baked into the Buds 4 Pro case. Android Authority spotted leaked animations showing a dedicated button on the case itself. Tap it, and instead of you hunting for your earbuds, the case sends a Bluetooth command to your Samsung phone, making it ring loudly so you can track it down. It basically reverses the usual find-my-buds workflow, and honestly, it’s surprising nobody did this sooner.

The setup looks pretty straightforward. Just press the physical button on the case and wait for your phone to out itself. This isn’t something carried over from the Buds 3 Pro either; earlier reports got that part wrong. It seems to be a new trick reserved for the Buds 4 Pro, which lines up with Samsung’s habit of rolling out small but thoughtful ecosystem additions each generation.

There’s also a speaker grille on the front of the case this time, which could mean Samsung has more planned — maybe even a way to ping the case itself using the phone or the buds. That part’s still speculation, though, and none of the leaks go into how loud the phone alert will be or if it’ll tie into Samsung’s larger Find My network. For now, the focus is really just on that one button.

The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro aren’t expected to launch for a while yet, but this feature already feels like something a lot of people will use more than they’re willing to admit. In a flood of leaks about audio tuning and design changes, this tiny detail is the one that stands out. And if it ends up saving you from tearing your living room apart again, even better.

Samsung’s next premium earbuds may not be official yet, but they’re getting harder for the company to hide.

Galaxy Buds 4 Pro brings a new look and case

Spotted by AndroidAuthority, the Buds 4 Pro is getting a noticeable redesign. Samsung seems to be moving away from the pointy, triangular tip seen on the previous generation. The light bar on the stem is also gone. Instead, the new buds have a flatter stem with a slightly angular top.

The charging case is also getting a revamp. Samsung is switching to a clamshell-style case that opens from the top, and the earbuds now rest flat with their stems pointing upward.

There’s a small external LED indicator on the front, while the pairing button and USB-C port sit on the back.

The One UI animations don’t just show new hardware, though; they also spoil some new features. The new addition is something called “Head Gestures.”

As the name suggests, you’ll be able to nod your head to answer calls or respond to notifications. Samsung is also tying this gesture system into accessibility and hands-free controls, letting users hear notifications aloud, stop notification reading, dismiss alarms, or even answer yes/no prompts from an AI assistant without touching their phone.

Other returning and new features seen in the animations include 360-degree audio recording, Adaptive Noise Control, device-finding tools, and the usual pairing flows for phones and tablets.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 series will likely launch alongside the Galaxy S26 phones in February next year.
