Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch a new pair of truly wireless earbuds dubbed the Galaxy Buds Core. This model could be aimed squarely at budget conscious buyers. While the brand’s flagship Buds series typically competes in the premium segment, this upcoming TWS could be targeting the affordable segment. So here’s what we know.

Samsung Working on a Cheap New Galaxy Buds Core TWS

The Galaxy Buds Core just broke cover after being spotted on two certification platforms. Back in April 2025, we spotted a supposed Galaxy Buds FE 2 on the BIS database carrying the SM-R410 model number. However, another listing on the Nemko certification hints at the Samsung Galaxy Buds Core moniker. This listing also confirms that the earbuds pack a 200mAh battery, while the charging case houses a 500mAh cell.

The case was also seen with the EP-QR410 model number. If this model is actually called the Galaxy Buds Core, it is the direct successor to the Galaxy Buds FE. To recall, the Buds FE was a pair of budget truly wireless earbuds that was positioned below its premium Galaxy Buds 3 series. Based on recent rumors and reports, the South Korean tech giant may announced the Galaxy Buds Core along with the brand’s next gen foldable phones.

Samsung Galaxy Buds FE

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are set to debut sometime in late July. So we could be getting fresh teasers soon. Just like its predecessors, we can expect it to offer ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) and at least 30 hours or higher battery life as generational upgrades.

Samsung’s Galaxy Buds FE suddenly exploded in the ear of a Turkish user, causing that user to suffer permanent hearing loss. This is very sad news, as permanent hearing damage means that the person in question will never be able to hear sound again. So how is Samsung going to fix this? It won’t. On top of that, the user who took the headphones to the technical service received negative responses.

The only thing Samsung offered was “a new earbuds”. For a product that harms a person’s health, this offer is nothing but nonsense. When the brand examined the headset, they could not understand why the problem occurred. But this suggests that more people who bought the same headset may also will be experiencing an explosion.

Samsung is expected to hold a dedicated launch event soon to unveil “Fan Edition” products. These include the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+, and the Galaxy Buds FE. It is likely that the Galaxy S23 FE may also debut alongside these devices. Recent reports have revealed a few details about the Galaxy Buds FE, which will be Samsung’s most affordable TWS earbuds. A new report, courtesy of Winfuture.de, has leaked the new images of the Galaxy Buds FE. It has also shared some new details about the earbuds.

According to the report, the Galaxy Buds FE will be offered in two shades, such as Graphite Gray and White. It will sport a streamlined design as compared to more premium offerings, such as the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and Buds 2.

The outer shell of the Galaxy Buds FE earbuds features a clearly marked touch-sensitive area for controlling media playback with simple finger taps. Inside the Galaxy Buds FE, Samsung has integrated a single 12mm audio driver, emphasizing improved bass performance.

While information regarding the battery life of the Galaxy Buds FE remains undisclosed, these earphones are powered through standard pogo pins located in a charging case, which can be connected to a power source via a USB-C port.

Unfortunately, the report has no information about the other specs of the Buds FE. Since it will be an affordable offering, Samsung may skip some high-end features like ANC on the Buds FE.

In the United States, the official manufacturer’s suggested retail prices are already being quoted at $99.99, while European retailers are suggesting an RRP of 88.90 euros.

Samsung is reportedly working on the Galaxy S23 FE, and it has also been seen on various certification websites. However, the S23 FE is not the only FE device in the works. Samsung is also said to be working on a new set of affordable earbuds known as the Galaxy Buds FE.

Now, reliable leaker Roland Quandt has shared some key details about the upcoming Galaxy Buds FE. The buds will feature 12mm drivers, which are slightly larger than the drivers in the Galaxy Buds 2, and will retail for $99.99, putting them in the midrange price bracket. This makes them about the same price as Google’s Pixel Buds A.

In addition to the price, Quandt also shared that the Galaxy Buds FE will be available in graphite and white colorways. Earlier this week, Samsung also accidentally leaked the official user manual for the earbuds. The manual’s PDF is currently available at this link on Samsung’s website, but it’s unclear how long it will be available.

The leaked user manual for the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE reveals that the earbuds will have a similar design to other Samsung headphones, with features such as touchpads and attachable wingtips. This is in line with Samsung’s FE strategy of offering many features of its higher-end products at a lower price. The manual also includes a look at the charging case, which is a standard earbud charging case.

Samsung has not yet officially announced the Galaxy Buds FE, so it is unclear when they will be available to purchase. However, the fact that the manual has leaked in full suggests that they may be released soon.

Samsung Galaxy Buds FE design revealed via new renders

We already know that Samsung is gearing up to launch a couple of new products from its popular FE lineup (Fan Edition). One of these includes the new Galaxy Buds FE earbuds, which were recently spotted in leaked press renders. So let’s have a look at its design.

Samsung Galaxy Buds FE Design

According to a WinFuture report, the South Korean tech giant revealed the design of the TWS earbuds model accidentally. The company shared official press renders of these hearables that offer us a full look at their design. Previously, we had reported on the Galaxy Buds FE’s user manual surfacing online. Now, the official look of the wireless earbuds has been confirmed.

Looking at the press renders, the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE features rubber fins on these earbuds that will aim to offer a better grip on users’ ears. On the other hand, the charging case was also leaked in the renders and these basically appear to be identical to the charging case of the Galaxy Buds 2. The outer body consists of a white hue, while the insides are black. A notable aspect missing is the AKG branding, which hints that the tuning technology might be skipped on this model.

It is still unclear which colors these earbuds will arrive in, but we can expect multiple options similar to older entries in the Galaxy Buds lineup. Since the model is a Fan Edition variant, we can also expect some high-end features to be skipped for more affordable pricing. So there might not be ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) on this model.

Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag 2 and Galaxy Buds FE appear on UAE’s TDRA

Samsung is on the verge of launching a few new smartphones, tablets, and some other devices. Namely, these other devices are the Galaxy Smart Tag 2 which awaits an upgrade from the past couple of years, and the Galaxy Buds FE which recently got detailed in an official manual spotted on Samsung’s Dutch website. Both the devices just made their appearance on UAE’s TDRA, which hints at their nearing launch.

The Galaxy Tag 2 appeared with model EL-T5600 and the Galaxy Buds FE appears with model name SM-R400N. The listing does not reveal anything significant about the devices’ specifications or features but does confirm the incoming launch in UAE. However, the name of the upcoming wireless earbuds is once again confirmed as the Galaxy Buds FE.

There are multiple rumors and leaks about both smart gadgets which confirm a lot about these devices. Let’s check below what we are expecting:

Galaxy Buds FE Specs and Features (Expected)

As per manual and recent leaks, the Galaxy Buds FE will feature minor design changes to make them more comfortable and accessible while using. A special touch area design is quite visible in the official manual documents that will enable efficient tap features. A Wingtip can be seen in the manual which will definitely improve the grip around the ear. Further, a White charging case with a USB Type-C port bundles a light indicator. However, we are not sure whether the case will bundle wireless charging or not.

The manual also reveals the presence of two microphones on each bud and a touch-sensitive sensor. The presence of more than one microphone on the device confirms the active Noise Cancellation.

Finally, the Fan Edition Earbuds are our way, and we expect them to launch very soon.

Additionally, there are multiple Fan EDition devices that are incoming from Samsung including Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Tab S9 FE, and Galaxy Tab S9 Plus FE.

Galaxy Smart Tag 2 Features (Expected)

The much-awaited Galaxy Smarttag 2 is making its way next month, as confirmed by previous leaks. The device already passed, NBTC, FCC, and Korea’s NRRA certification.

A full official-looking render appeared on the MobileFun retailer’s website a while ago in two color options black and white. It was listed for the price of £42.99 (~$54). Considering the UK pricing, we expect it to launch for $50 in the United States.

The FCC listing confirms the presence of Ultrawideband (UWB) connectivity which will enhance its features.

We look forward to an unannounced Samsung Event where the Korean giant will announce several new smartphones, tablets, and smart devices.

Samsung Galaxy Buds FE confirmed as the next Wireless Earbuds

Samsung is expanding the Fan Edition series across a variety of devices, starting with smartphones, the earbuds are the next in line to join the FE series. As confirmed via the official manual that appeared on the Samsung Germany website, the Korean giant is launching new wireless earbuds – Galaxy Buds FE.

The document reveals the design details and even unearths some tiniest specification details. The images reveal design similarities with the old wireless earbuds while bundling a better touchpad on the earbuds’ outer side. It will surely enhance the operations while using it. Little wings on the earbuds improve the in-ear holding ability. Moreover, it does feature a couple of microphones on each earbud for better noise cancellation.

We can also see a wear detection sensor, silicon ear tips, and a total of four microphones as depicted in the manual document.

The White charging case is quite similar to that of the Buds2 case. It bundles a USB Type-C charging port and charging indicator light both inside and outside the case. By looking at the glossy charging case we can’t confirm whether it will feature wireless charging or not.

As expected, the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE is a bit downsized version as it houses two microphones instead of three on Galaxy Buds2 Pro. The presence of more than one microphone also hints towards the presence of ANC.

Overall, the slight design changes on the Galaxy Buds FE seem interesting and useful.

Galaxy Buds FE Pricing and Announcement (Expected)

Samsung is also working on the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone, and it has appeared in multiple leaks and support pages. Earlier it was expected to launch by the end of this year, but considering the recent leaks and appearance on official Samsung pages, the launch seems nearing. Both the Fan Edition devices could come together within a few weeks or months.

Considering the pricing of Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Buds2, we assume the new FE variant earbuds will cost somewhere around $100.
