Before the Galaxy Buds and the Galaxy Buds+, there was the Gear IconX. For Samsung’s upcoming earbuds, it seems to be fusing the Galaxy Buds name and the Gear Icon X name together.

The Korean-giant has filed a trademark application in India for “Galaxy BudsX” and there are speculations it may be the official name of the kidney-bean shaped earbuds that leaked earlier this month. The trademark application was also filed in the UK and Europe too.

The upcoming TWS earbuds go by the codename “bean” and are expected to launch this year. The specifications are still unknown but more details should surface in the weeks or months leading up to its release.
