<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a> is bringing its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/23/android-16-update-complete-list-of-eligible-devices/">Android 16</a>-based One UI 8 update to more affordable phones. After debuting with the 7th generation foldables — the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, and Z Flip7 FE. The mid-range <a href="https://x.com/Koram_Akhilesh/status/1937117196456739265?s=19">Galaxy A56 was spotted</a> last month on the company&#8217;s test servers running an Android 16-based build.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="567" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/in-feature-galaxy-m36-5g-8gb-memory-547857329-1024x567.webp?x96852" alt="" class="wp-image-698992" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/in-feature-galaxy-m36-5g-8gb-memory-547857329-1024x567.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/in-feature-galaxy-m36-5g-8gb-memory-547857329-300x166.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/in-feature-galaxy-m36-5g-8gb-memory-547857329-768x426.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/in-feature-galaxy-m36-5g-8gb-memory-547857329-696x385.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/in-feature-galaxy-m36-5g-8gb-memory-547857329-1068x592.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/in-feature-galaxy-m36-5g-8gb-memory-547857329-758x420.webp 758w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/in-feature-galaxy-m36-5g-8gb-memory-547857329.webp 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Now, the software is being tested on budget-friendly models, including the <a href="https://x.com/Mohammed_K_2010/status/1949498230623871210">Galaxy F34</a> and M36 — signaling that Android 16-based One UI 8 is on its way to a wider audience. In addition to appearing on test servers, the latter has also been spotted on Geekbench running the latest Android version.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/One-UI-8-update-Galaxy-A-series-1024x576.webp?x96852" alt="One UI 8 update Galaxy A series" class="wp-image-690426" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/One-UI-8-update-Galaxy-A-series-1024x576.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/One-UI-8-update-Galaxy-A-series-300x169.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/One-UI-8-update-Galaxy-A-series-768x432.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/One-UI-8-update-Galaxy-A-series-696x392.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/One-UI-8-update-Galaxy-A-series-1068x601.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/One-UI-8-update-Galaxy-A-series-747x420.webp 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/One-UI-8-update-Galaxy-A-series.webp 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Internal test builds point to early preparations for a stable rollout. Unlike Samsung’s flagship S25 lineup, which participates in a public beta program, the budget devices are expected to skip betas and jump straight to the final version — a typical move for Samsung.</p>

<p>One UI 8 introduces smarter features like enhanced Live Translate and Circle to Search, paired with a sleeker interface and smoother animations. While Samsung hasn’t confirmed an official timeline, signs point to a possible August release. And with the company now promising up to seven years of software support for many of its phones, even mid-range and budget models stand to benefit from long-term updates. The M36 5G, for instance, is set to receive up to six major Android updates</p>

<p>If all goes smoothly, Galaxy F34 and M36 users may soon enjoy the latest Android features without having to break the bank.</p>

<h2>Samsung Galaxy F34 One UI 6 Android 14 OS Update</h2>

<p>For those unaware, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/07/samsung-galaxy-f34-launch/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung Galaxy F34 5G</a> was first launched in India back in August 2023. The South Korean tech giant recently released the Android 14 OS update for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/12/11/samsung-galaxy-m34-5g-receiving-oneui-6-0-based-android-14-update-in-india/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">the Galaxy M34</a>. Now, the One UI 6 update is making its way to the Galaxy F34 5G model. The latest update carries the build version E346BXXU2BWL1/E346BODM2BWL1/E346BXXU2BWL1. Users can expect to see a big download size for this update, which crosses the 2GB mark.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="500" height="500" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Samsung-Galaxy-F34-1.jpg?x96852" alt="Samsung Galaxy F34" class="wp-image-558731" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Samsung-Galaxy-F34-1.jpg 500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Samsung-Galaxy-F34-1-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Samsung-Galaxy-F34-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Samsung-Galaxy-F34-1-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></figure></div>

<p>Apart from the latest iteration of Android, the new software upgrade also features the November 2023 security patch for the smartphone. You can head to Settings to check if your device has received the new update. One UI 6 brings a revamped Quick Settings panel, improved Home Screen widgets, brand new emojis, new customization options for the lock screen, a new media player widget, a fresh default font, and more features. </p>

<p>To recall, the Samsung Galaxy F34 5G sports a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display that offers Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1000 nits of peak brightness, and Corning&#8217;s Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, the device is equipped with the Exynos 1280 SoC that is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A large 6,000mAh battery pack powers this handset. The rear packs a 50-megapixel triple camera setup, while the front houses a 13-megapixel selfie shooter. Other notable features include a microSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side mounted fingerprint scanner, and 25W fast charging. </p>

<p>The festive season sales are about to begin this weekend in India. For the last few years, this has been the best time to buy smartphones in the country.</p>

<p>The region’s largest online retailers Flipkart and Amazon are known to run sales at the same time. The former was the one to popularize this trend with its Big Billion Days sale, while Amazon answered with its Great Indian Festival.</p>

<p>Additionally, brands themselves now run sales on their websites during this period. So consumers get a lot of options and need clarification on numerous deals.</p>

<p>Thus, to help our readers out, we have compiled a list of phones that one should look for. Here in this article, we have specifically listed the best budget 5G smartphones to buy.</p>

<p>A year after 5G networks went live in India, the entry-level 5G smartphones finally improved and are almost on par with the 4G handsets available at the same price. With the ongoing offers, this is probably the best time to invest in them if you are looking for one.</p>

<p>Our list only consists of 5 devices. Above all, we have clearly mentioned what type of consumers should opt for which phone.</p>

<p>With that out of the way, let’s take a look at these products.</p>

<h2><strong>Best Budget 5G Smartphone Offers in India</strong></h2>

<h3><strong>Redmi 12 5G</strong></h3>

<p>Even at its regular price, we believe the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-12-5g/">Redmi 12 5G</a> is the best budget 5G smartphone in India right now as it is recommendable for all types of users. You can learn more about why we think that way <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/09/27/redmi-12-5g-review/">in our review</a>.</p>

<p>In a nutshell, the device offers a premium design and a faster chip (Snapdragon 4 Gen 2), unlike its competitors. It boots a well-optimized software and the 5G performance is reliable.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="689" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Redmi-12-5G-1024x689.png?x96852" alt="Redmi 12 5G" class="wp-image-554876" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Redmi-12-5G-1024x689.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Redmi-12-5G-300x202.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Redmi-12-5G-768x517.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Redmi-12-5G-696x468.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Redmi-12-5G-1068x719.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Redmi-12-5G-624x420.png 624w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Redmi-12-5G.png 1352w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The handset <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/01/redmi-12-5g-india-launch/">costs</a> ₹11,999 for the base 4GB + 128GB model. But during the sale, it will be listed at ₹11,499 (₹500 off).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Buyers can use appropriate cards for an additional 10% discount. This brings down the effective price of Redmi 12 5G to ₹10,349.</p>

<p>The same offer will likely be available for 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants as well. The product can be purchased from either Amazon or Mi.com.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-table"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Redmi 12 5G</strong></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Variants</strong></td><td><strong>Retail Price</strong></td><td><strong>Discount</strong></td><td><strong>Card Offer</strong></td><td><strong>Final Price</strong></td></tr><tr><td>4GB + 128GB</td><td>₹11,999</td><td>₹500</td><td>₹1,149</td><td>₹10,349</td></tr><tr><td>6GB + 128GB</td><td>₹13,499</td><td>₹500</td><td>₹1,299</td><td>₹11,699</td></tr><tr><td>8GB + 256GB</td><td>₹15,499</td><td>₹500</td><td>₹11,999</td><td>₹13,499</td></tr></tbody></table></figure>

<p></p>

<h3><strong>Poco M6 Pro 5G</strong></h3>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-poco-m6-pro/">Poco M6 Pro 5G</a> is the same as the Redmi 12 5G. The only major difference between the two is the looks.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="512" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/POCO-M6-Pro-5G-1024x512.jpg?x96852" alt="POCO M6 Pro 5G" class="wp-image-555194"/></figure>

<p>The Poco model arrives in flashy colors since the brand is youth-oriented. Further, it <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/05/poco-m6-pro-5g-with-snapdragon-4-gen-2-soc-launched-in-india/">starts at a lower price</a> as it is also offered in a 64GB variant with 4GB RAM.</p>

<p>Finally, it is only available on Flipkart. You can check out its effective deal prices below.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-table"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Poco M6 Pro 5G</strong></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Variants</strong></td><td><strong>Retail Price</strong></td><td><strong>Discount</strong></td><td><strong>Card Offer</strong></td><td><strong>Final Price</strong></td></tr><tr><td>4GB + 64GB</td><td>₹10,999</td><td>₹1,000</td><td>₹1,000</td><td>₹8,999</td></tr><tr><td>4GB + 128GB</td><td>₹11,999</td><td>₹1,000</td><td>₹1,000</td><td>₹9,999</td></tr><tr><td>6GB + 128GB</td><td>₹12,999</td><td>₹1,000</td><td>₹1,000</td><td>₹10,999</td></tr></tbody></table></figure>

<p></p>

<h3><strong>Realme Narzo 60x 5G</strong></h3>

<p>The best alternative to the Redmi 12 5G and the Poco M6 Pro is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-narzo-60x/">Realme Narrzo 60x 5G</a>. It is a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/09/06/realme-narzo-60x-5g-launch/">bit expensive</a> but comes with meaningful upgrades for the extra price.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="840" height="560" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Realme-Narzo-60x-5G-Featured.jpg?x96852" alt="Realme Narzo 60x 5G" class="wp-image-564529" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Realme-Narzo-60x-5G-Featured.jpg 840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Realme-Narzo-60x-5G-Featured-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Realme-Narzo-60x-5G-Featured-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Realme-Narzo-60x-5G-Featured-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Realme-Narzo-60x-5G-Featured-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 840px) 100vw, 840px" /><figcaption>Realme Narzo 60x 5G</figcaption></figure>

<p>The Realme phone charges much faster as it supports 33W SuperVOOC standard. It also sports a faster 120Hz display.</p>

<p>Lastly, the design is flashier and is offered in an eye-popping green color option, in addition to black. This product is more recommendable for the youth, especially students who are always in a hurry to charge their phones.</p>

<p>It can be purchased from either Amazon or Realme.com.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-table"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Realme Narzo 60x 5G</strong></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Variants</strong></td><td><strong>Retail Price</strong></td><td><strong>Discount</strong></td><td><strong>Card Offer</strong></td><td><strong>Final Price</strong></td></tr><tr><td>4GB + 128GB</td><td>₹12,999</td><td>₹1,000</td><td>₹1,000</td><td>₹10,999</td></tr><tr><td>6GB + 128GB</td><td>₹14,499</td><td>₹1,750</td><td>₹1,250</td><td>₹11,499</td></tr></tbody></table></figure>

<p><a rel="sponsored noopener" href="https://amzn.to/46AVIVw"><strong><em>Buy Realme Narzo 60x 5G from Amazon</em></strong></a></p>

<p></p>

<h3><strong>Samsung Galaxy M34 5G and Galaxy F34 5G</strong></h3>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-m34-5g/">Galaxy M34 5G</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-f34/">Galaxy F34 5G</a> are one and the same. The former is sold on Amazon, whereas the latter is sold via Flipkart. Both of them are also available on Samsung.com.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="536" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Samsung-Galaxy-M34-5G-render-1024x536.jpg?x96852" alt="Samsung Galaxy M34 5G render" class="wp-image-548728" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Samsung-Galaxy-M34-5G-render-1024x536.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Samsung-Galaxy-M34-5G-render-300x157.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Samsung-Galaxy-M34-5G-render-768x402.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Samsung-Galaxy-M34-5G-render-696x364.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Samsung-Galaxy-M34-5G-render-1068x559.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Samsung-Galaxy-M34-5G-render-803x420.jpg 803w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Samsung-Galaxy-M34-5G-render.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Just like Redmi 12 5G and Poco M6 Pro 5G, these two primary differ in terms of colors. They have the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/07/07/samsung-galaxy-m34-5g-launched-india/">same specs</a> and are even <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/07/samsung-galaxy-f34-launch/">priced equally</a>.</p>

<p>The main highlights of these handsets are longer software support (4 Android updates and 5 years of security updates), Samsung Wallet with NFC, and 120Hz AMOLED display. This device is recommended for consumers who just need a smartphone for regular day-to-day usage with no gaming and heavy multi-tasking.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-table"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Samsung Galaxy M34 5G and Galaxy F34 5G</strong></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Variants</strong></td><td><strong>Retail Price</strong></td><td><strong>Discount</strong></td><td><strong>Card Offer</strong></td><td><strong>Final Price</strong></td></tr><tr><td>6GB + 128GB</td><td>₹18,999</td><td>₹2,500</td><td>₹1,500</td><td>₹14,999</td></tr><tr><td>8GB + 128GB</td><td>₹20,999</td><td>₹2,500</td><td>₹1,500</td><td>₹16,999</td></tr></tbody></table></figure>

<p>Smartphone launches will continue to happen in August, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/06/30/upcoming-smartphones-july-2023/15/">just like in July</a>. A number of brands have confirmed to unveil interesting phones in the next few days.</p>

<p>Some of the companies have already revealed the dates for their new releases. While others have merely assured that they will be taking wraps off their latest devices.</p>

<p>We will be witnessing the launch of handsets across various categories. Even three foldables are expected from three different brands, namely <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/Xiaomi/">Xiaomi</a>, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/OnePlus/">OnePlus</a>, and <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/Oppo/">Oppo</a>.</p>

<p>The former two are also set to introduce affordable premium smartphones alongside <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/Realme/">Realme </a>and <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/Vivo/">Vivo</a>. Further, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/Infinix/">Infinix </a>and <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/Tecno/">Tecno</a> have planned to unveil handsets inspired by the Nothing Phone series.</p>

<p>With that out of the way, let’s take a look at the devices that are anticipated to go official in the coming days.</p>

<h2><strong>Upcoming Smartphones in August 2023</strong></h2>

<h3><strong>Redmi 12 5G</strong></h3>

<p>The Redmi 12 5G is scheduled to launch in India on August 1. It will be making its global debut in the country alongside the Redmi 12, which is already official in multiple markets.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="956" height="617" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Redmi-Note-12R-2.png?x96852" alt="Redmi Note 12R" class="wp-image-548244" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Redmi-Note-12R-2.png 956w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Redmi-Note-12R-2-300x194.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Redmi-Note-12R-2-768x496.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Redmi-Note-12R-2-696x449.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Redmi-Note-12R-2-651x420.png 651w" sizes="(max-width: 956px) 100vw, 956px" /></figure>

<p>The Redmi 12 5G for international markets is a rebranded Redmi Note 12R sold in China. Thus, everything about it is already known.</p>
