Galaxy M55 vs Galaxy F54: Design and colours

Galaxy M55:

The Galaxy M55 is a good-looking device and a great choice for those that aren’t fans of the new flat edges that Samsung is using on the A-seires. This device features a flat screen, triple rear cameras, a centre-mounted selfie camera cutout at the top of the screen. Its power and volume rocker keys sit on the right-hand side of the frame, while the SIM tray sits to the left of the frame. Under the device is the USB-C port, speaker cutout, and microphone, but at the top sits an upwards firing speaker. Available colours on this device are Dark Blue and Light Green.

Galaxy F54:

Just like with the Galaxy M55, the more affordable Galaxy F54 brings a simplistic design to the market. It features the same camera setup style that we see on the Galaxy M55, housing three rear cameras and a centre-mounted front-facing camera. The power button and volume rocker keys on this device sit on the right-hand side of the device’s frame, while on the left-hand side, we get the SIM tray. At the base of the frame you’ll find the USB–C charging port, speakers, and a microphone. Buyers of this device will have to settle for either Meteor Blue or Stardust Silver, as these are the only colour options this device comes with.

Design and Colors: A Closer Look at the Galaxy F54 5G’s Aesthetics

Available in Dark Blue and Silver variants, the Galaxy F54 5G shares a resemblance to Samsung’s recent A series smartphone lineup. Notably, it showcases three distinct camera rings on its rear. Despite housing a massive 6,000mAh battery, the phone manages to maintain a sleek profile, measuring just 8.4mm in thickness and weighing 199g. It is worth mentioning that the device features a plastic back and a side-mounted fingerprint reader, a slight departure from the glass back, and an in-display fingerprint reader found in the Galaxy A54 5G.

Smartphone launches are expected to slow down in June 2023. After two months of busy releases, it will be comparatively calmer for a while.

As of writing this article, only a few brands have officially confirmed to debut new phones. These companies are Motorola and Samsung to name a couple.

Though we have multiple other handsets from different brands on the list, these are based on leaks and rumors. So they may or may not launch in June.

Anyways, only one of them will be a premium device. However, two foldables are expected. Most of the remaining phones belong to either mid-range or affordable premium categories.

Almost all the handsets on the list will release in global markets. Some of them went official in China recently.

In other words, there won’t be any China-exclusive debut like in May, With that out of the way, let’s take all the devices expected to get announced in the coming days.

Upcoming Smartphones in June 2023

Motorola Razr 40 Series

The Motorola Razr 40 series is scheduled to launch on June 1. The lineup is expected to include two clamshell foldable phones, namely Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra.

The ultra will come with a larger 3.5-inch cover screen, while the vanilla model will sport a Galaxy Z Flip 4-esque tiny cover display. Further, the former will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip compared to a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC inside the latter.

The Razr 40 Ultra is also tipped to arrive with a 6.9-inch main foldable display, a 12MP (wide) + 13MP (ultra-wide) dual camera system, a 32MP selfie camera, a 3,800mAh battery, and 33W fast charging support.

Samsung Galaxy F54

The Samsung Galaxy F54 is set to launch in India on June 6. It will most likely be rebranded Galaxy M54.

The Realme 11 Pro series is tipped to launch in India on June 8. There will be two handsets, namely Realme 11 Pro and Realme 11 Pro Plus.
The Samsung Galaxy F54 was initially tipped to launch in April. Later, it was rumored to release in May.

Now, it is being said that the smartphone is once again delayed. At the same time, the device is expected to cost a bit more than the previous leaked price.

According to Debayan Roy (@Gadgetsdata), Samsung has delayed the launch of Galaxy F54 in India. The phone will now release in the first or second week of June instead of May which ends in two days.

He also reveals that the handset will not be priced at ₹27,000. It may cost around ₹29,000-₹30,000.

We are not sure how accurate these details are. Therefore, we urge you to consider this with a pinch of salt.

As per earlier leaks, the upcoming Galaxy F54 will be built around a 6.7-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED display. It will be powered by an Exynos 1380 SoC, the chipset found inside the Galaxy A54.

The device is tipped to sport a triple camera system on the rear headed by an OIS-assisted 108MP primary sensor. The other two modules will be an 8MP ultra-wide unit and a 2 macro snapper.

For biometrics, the phone is expected to use a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Finally, it is said to draw energy from a 6,000mAh battery with support for 25W charging.

Samsung’s mid-range lineup has not been very impressive this year. Although the latest Galaxy A54 does bring some notable upgrades, such as a new primary camera, it does not manage to compete with other options in the same price range. Now, the Galaxy F54 is due for launch, and from what we hear, it could be the priciest F-series smartphone so far, with leaks suggesting a price tag above Rs. 35,000 in India. Here are the details.

Galaxy F54 could be the priciest F-series phone to date

The Galaxy F series includes affordable smartphones that come with decent specifications. The latest phone to join the lineup will be the Galaxy F54 and previous rumors hinted the device could cost somewhere around Rs. 25,000, likely for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version. However, now Yogesh Brar claims on Twitter that the Samsung Galaxy F54 box price in India would be around Rs. 35,999 for the 8GB + 256GB storage version. The base model should cost less.

Samsung may introduce some bank and exchange offers to make the price look better, but from what we can see for now, the Galaxy F54 could be the priciest model in the lineup. However, we would recommend taking the leak with a grain of salt until there’s an official confirmation.

The Samsung Galaxy F54 5G is rumored to arrive with a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display featuring a Full HD+ resolution. It is reported to be powered by an octa-core Exynos 1380 processor, the same SoC found in the Galaxy A54 5G. The device could feature a triple rear camera setup, including a 108MP primary shooter with OIS support, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP auxiliary sensor. With a 6000mAh battery unit, the device is expected to support 25W charging.

Samsung has been rumored to be working on a new Galaxy F series smartphone that will be called the Galaxy F54 5G model. However, prior to any official announcement, the Galaxy F54’s India pricing and specifications have been leaked.

Samsung Galaxy F54 to feature 108MP camera, 120Hz display, & more

Previously, we had covered a sighting of the Galaxy F54 5G on the Google Play Console listing, which confirmed its moniker last month. And now, tipster GadgetsData has revealed that the upcoming smartphone could launch sometime later this month. For those unaware, the Galaxy F series is the South Korean tech giant’s mid range handset range. So it is safe to assume that this model will also be included in this category.

The tipster even revealed that the new device will sport a tall 6.7 inch AMOLED display that has a Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will be equipped with an Exynos 1380 SoC. The smartphone will also be powered by a large 6,000mAh battery pack that will support for 25W fast charging rate. Other notable features include, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, side mounted fingerprint scanner, hybrid SIM slot, WiFi 6, and more. The rear will reportedly feature a triple camera setup, consisting of a 108 megapixel primary sensor with OIS support, 8 megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and a 2 megapixel macro shooter.

Meanwhile, the front will house a 32 megapixel selfie camera. The device will likely run on Android 13 OS out of the box. The tipster also revealed that the device will be launching in India around the second half of May 2023. Furthermore, he also shared that the Galaxy F54 5G will be priced under 30,000 INR (roughly 366 US Dollars) in the Indian market. In other words, we can assume that it will launch with a price tag of around 27,000 INR.

Samsung has recently launched two new mid-range smartphones under the A series in India, but one can argue that they are not exactly affordable, with the Galaxy A54 starting at Rs. 38,999 in the country. However, the company may soon bring a more budget-friendly smartphone for Indian consumers, dubbed Galaxy F54. While there’s no official announcement yet, a recent report has indicated that the handset is expected to launch in April, and has also revealed some of its key specifications.

Galaxy F54 coming soon

As reported on SlashLeaks, Samsung will be launching the Galaxy F54 in India by the end of April. There’s no confirmation from the brand yet but the timing seems reasonable as the device has already received various certifications, and its support page has gone live in both India and Bangladesh.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy F54 is expected to feature its signature triple camera rings on the back, a design that the Korean company has been using consistently this year across its flagship S series phones as well as its more affordable A series devices.

As per the leak, the Samsung smartphone will sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset will boast a 32MP front-facing camera enclosed in a center punch hole.

In the rear camera department, the phone could get a 108MP main camera sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) support. There may also be an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro shooter. The Galaxy F54 5G will likely feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and run Android 13 out of the box and have a layer of One UI 5.1 on top. The phone will measure 8.4mm thick and weigh about 199 grams.
