Recent reports have revealed some vital information on the upcoming Galaxy M21 smartphone. Samsung is yet to confirm on its arrival, but rumors surrounding it have claimed that the Galaxy M21 will go official this month. A new Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) report claims that the Galaxy M21 will be made official on March 16.

The report claims that the Samsung Galaxy M21 is equipped with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display and it features a triple camera setup with a 48-megapixel main unit on its rear. The phone is backed by a massive battery of 6,000mAh capacity. A recent leak had claimed that the Galaxy M21 will be arriving with the same internals that were made available on the Galaxy M30s that went official in India in September 2019.

Hence, the Galaxy M21 is expected to be fueled by the Exynos 9611 chipset. The Geekbench appearance of the smartphone had also revealed that the Exynos 9611 is present under its hood. The SoC was coupled with 4 GB of RAM and it was found to be running on Android 10 OS.

The phone is also expected to arrive in 6 GB RAM version. The Galaxy M21 could be arriving in the Indian markets in two storage options such as 64 GB and 128 GB. In the previous month, the Galaxy M21 was seen at the database of Bluetooth SIG authority.

The Galaxy M21 will be arriving as a successor for the Galaxy M20 phone that debuted in India in January 2020. At present, there is no word on the pricing of the Galaxy M21. The Galaxy M20s had arrived in India with a pricing of Rs. 10,990 (~$149) for its 3 GB RAM variant and Rs. 12,990 (~$175) for its 4 GB RAM edition. The Galaxy M21 is likely to arrive with a similar pricing and it will be positioned under the recently announced Galaxy M31 which is selling in India with a starting price of Rs. 14,999 (~$202).

According to media reports, the Samsung Galaxy M20 and M30 have started receiving the stable Android 10 update with the One UI 2.0 skin on top in India. Samsung recently rolled out the Android 10 update for the Galaxy S10 in the country. Unlike the premium S10, both the Galaxy M20 and M30 phones are focused towards the budget-conscious market. Samsung launched both smartphones earlier in 2019 to take on rival devices from brands like Xiaomi, Realme and Asus.. Both M20 and M30 ran on Android 8.1 Oreo-based One UI out-of-the-box. These phones were treated with Android 9.0 Pie-based One UI update back in June and now they have been provided with the latest Android 10 skin.

According to a report on Sammobile, Samsung rolled out the stable Android 10 OTA along with the December 2019 security patch. Samsung is also offering its One UI 2.0 skin, which was previously offered only on flagship devices. The key highlights of One UI 2.0 include system-wide Dark Mode and full-screen gestures. One UI 2.0 also updates pre-loaded apps like Samsung Internet, Calculator, Samsung Notes, and Health. However, users have to manually commence the installation process after receiving the Android 10 update.

Samsung has rolled out the update only in India for the time being. The company is likely to globally announce the OTA update soon. Indian users that are yet to receive the update also have the option to search manually through Settings > Software update > Download & Install.

The South Korean tech giant kickstarted the One UI 2.0 beta program in India back in October 2019 exclusive for Galaxy S10 users. The flagship just received the stable OTA update last week. According to Samsung’s roadmap, both the Galaxy M20 and M30 were slated to receive the stable Android 10 OTA update in January 2020. The unit may consist of a 48-megapixel primary lens, a 12-megapixel wide angle unit and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. It will be arriving as a successor for the Galaxy M30 is powered by an Exynos 7904 SoC. It is unclear whether Samsung will stick use Sony IMX586 sensor or its proprietary 48-megapixel ISOCELL GM1 sensor on the M31.

Samsung Galaxy M41 Features and Specifications

The Galaxy M41 could be powered by all new Exynos 9630 chipset. It may feature 6 GB of RAM in its base variant. The device may come with a triple camera setup. It could be featuring a primary lens of 64-megapixel, a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. It will be replacing the Galaxy M40 is powered by a Snapdragon 675 chipset with 6 GB of RAM. 

Since there is concrete evidence to corroborate on the above leak, it is advisable to digest the report with a grain of salt.

One of the major highlights of the Galaxy M20 smartphone is that is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery. Fresh information reveals that the enhanced version of the phone that is under construction will be arriving with an even larger battery.

It is speculated that the model number of the upcoming Galaxy M20s is SM-M207. Except for the battery, there is no information available on its specifications. The publication has stated that its battery has a model number of EB-BM207ABY, and its capacity is 5,830mAh. It could be the rated capacity of the battery and its typical capacity could be 6,000mAh. In comparison, the newly unveiled ASUS ROG Phone 2 has a rated battery of 5,800mAh capacity and its typical capacity is 6,000mAh.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is in the news from past several months, thanks to several leaks and rumors. Xiaomi is also actively working to promote the device by teasing it via different means. Until now, Xiaomi hasn’t explicitly named Galaxy M20 device, they have been using the word ‘M’ in all the teasers. The scenario is making us believe that they are mocking Galaxy M series devices. Although making assumptions more firm, Xiaomi specifically posted the AnTuTu scores of Galaxy M series phone and Redmi Note 7. The teaser reveals that the Redmi Note 7 scores pretty well against the competitor aka. Galaxy M series device. In the teaser, Redmi Note 7 managed to perform 143,000 points against the 123,000 points of M branded device.

Additionally, Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is already launched in China for 999 yuan ($148) with a 48-megapixel primary rear camera. For selfies, Xiaomi has added a 13-megapixel front camera. There’s also a standard 6.3-inch FHD+ display having a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The display is protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. There’s a 3/4/6GB RAM coupled with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. It is available in 32/64GB internal storage along with the expandable storage option of upto 256GB via microSD card.

Moreover, Xiaomi is also planning to launch the Redmi Note 7 Pro in China very soon. It will feature much-improved specifications than the Redmi Note 7. It will have a better 48 MP camera module, 128GB storage, and a gradient color option.

After launching the Galaxy M-series in India, Samsung’s next stop is Indonesia. But this time it appears only the Galaxy M20 will be available in the Southeast Asian country.

Online retailers such as Lazada and JD Indonesia have put up special pages ahead of the phone’s launch on February 14. Lazada has a page counting down to the date while JD Indonesia clearly states the phone will be available on February 14.

The Galaxy M20’s main features include a 5,000mAh battery that should provide up to 17 hours of video playback or 100 hours of music playback or last all day for calls. It also has the new Infinity-V Display and dual rear cameras.

The M20 has a 6.3-inch LCD display with a waterdrop notch. It is powered by the Exynos 7904 octa-core processor with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of storage. It has an 8MP front-facing camera and a 13MP + 5MP dual camera setup on its back. There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box but will get updated to Android Pie later. It has a hybrid SIM slot and you can swap the second SIM slot for a MicroSD card (512GB max.). Charging and data transfer is via a USB Type-C port.

Last week, Samsung launched its all-new Galaxy M-series smartphones in the Indian market — Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20. Now, just a few days after their official launch, the company has started rolling out the first-ever update to the devices, although the phones are slated to be available for purchase from 5th February.

However, some of the review units have now started receiving the new update, which brings improvements and bug fixes. The update, which carries firmware version M105FDDU1ASA7 for the Galaxy M10 and firmware version M205FDDU1ASA9 for the Galaxy M20 smartphone, has January security patch but do not bring any remarkable improvement in the overall performance of the smartphones.

While the update is currently being rolled out, it seems that the devices that will be available for purchase from 5th February, the update will be available out-of-the-box. The update for the Galaxy M10 weighs 64.74MB while Galaxy M20’s update weighs 102MB.

The Samsung Galaxy M10 features a 6.2-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with 720 x 1520 pixels screen resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio and is powered by Exynos 7870 chipset, coupled with 2GB/3GB RAM. It comes with 16GB/32GB of internal storage and comes with a microSD card slot for expanding the phone’s storage capacity up to 512GB.

Samsung has introduced the all new Exynos 7904 mobile processor. In its press release, the company claims that it has tailored the new chipset for the phones releasing in the Indian market. It is designed to offer high-end multimedia features on mid-range smartphones.

The Samsung Exynos 7904 features a fast performing octa-core processor for better internet browsing experience and swift app launching. The chipset consumes less power while it provides the power to multi-task to the users.

The Exynos 7904 is a 14nm chipset that includes two Cortex A73 cores working at 1.8 GHz and six Cortex A53 cores processing at 1.6 GHz. The Cat. 12 with 3-carrier aggregation support makes it possible to achieve 600Mbps download speeds on Exynos 7904 powered devices.

The image signal processor (ISP) present on the Exynos 7904 supports up to 32-megapixel single rear camera. Rumors have it that the handset will be costing around Rs. 15,000 in India. Apart from India, the smartphone will be hitting other markets such as France, Germany, Poland, Scandinavia and the U.K.

The Samsung Galaxy M10 will be an entry-level smartphone. Samsung is soon going to launch an all-new M-series for budget and mid-range smartphones in the Indian market. As per the reports, the South Korean giant will launch two phones under its M-series, which could possibly be named Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20.

Ahead of the official announcement, a couple of images of the Galaxy M20’s cover shows that the phone will come with a dual rear camera setup and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom. Earlier, an image leaked online showcasing the phone’s front panel which revealed that it will have a notched display.

The camera sensors are placed vertically in the top-left corner along with an LED flash. There’s also another cutout in the top-center position, which possibly is for the fingerprint sensor. It is expected to come with a USB Type-C port at the bottom.

The Samsung Galaxy M20 is rumored to be powered by the Samsung’s own Exynos 7885 upper mid-range processor, coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The device is said to feature a Full-HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels with an unknown screen size and will be running Android Oreo operating system out-of-the-box.

The company has reportedly started mass production of both the smartphones in India, suggesting that the official launch of the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 is imminent. Recently, we reported that the smartphones will be priced aggressively to win the highly-competitive budget smartphone segment in India.

According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy M10 could be priced under Rs. 10,000 (approximately $142) while the Samsung Galaxy M20 could be priced around Rs. 15,000, which roughly converts to $213. Considering the aggressive pricing, it won’t be surprising if Samsung keeps the M-series as an online-only smartphone series.

The device is said to feature a Full-HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels with an unknown screen size, and just like M10, this one too will run Android Oreo out-of-the-box.

The Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30 phones that have respective model numbers of SM-M205F and SM-M305F are rumored to feature Infinity-U (u-shaped) notched displays. Rumors surrounding the Galaxy M20 have revealed that it will be fueled by Exynos 7885 chipset. It will be loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo OS. The SoC of the phone will be supported by 3 GB of RAM. It will be coming in 32 GB and 64 GB storage models. The Infinity-U display of the phone is expected to carry support for Full HD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels.

There is not much information available on the specifications of the Galaxy M30. It is speculated to be available in 64 GB and 128 GB storage models.

It is soon expected to release the all new Galaxy M lineup to replace its exciting Galaxy J, Galaxy On and Galaxy C phones. The company is reportedly working on Galaxy M phones with model numbers like SM-M205F and SM-M305F. Also, in order to cut down on the cost, it is expected to use LCD panels instead of AMOLED on its upcoming Galaxy A series of smartphones. A fresh report on SamMobile has revealed newer information on upcoming Galaxy A and Galaxy M phones.

Samsung is reportedly working on newer Galaxy A phones with model numbers like SM-A305F and SM-A505F. The latter will be a higher model with storage choices such as 64 GB and 128 GB. It is expected to be available in colors like black, white, silver, blue and pink. The SM-A305F will be a lower phone than SM-A505F since it is expected to arrive in 32 GB and 64 GB storage models. It may come in colors like black, white, blue and red.

Apart from SM-M205F and SM-M305F models, the South Korean firm is also speculated to be working on a cheaper phone with model number SM-M105F. It is tipped to arrive in 16 GB and 32 GB storage sizes. All the existing Galaxy M models are expected in Blue and Dark Grey options. The Samsung M series of smartphones is rumored to be aimed towards emerging markets.

There is no confirmation on the official names of the above phones. After appearing on Geekbench, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy M20 has been spotted on AnTuTu and the result reveals an important detail about its display.

AnTuTu is known for disclosing some specs of a benchmarked phone and the Galaxy M20 is no exception. The benchmark result revealed the phone has a 2340 x 1080 display. Is that display resolution familiar?

Yes, it is. That is the resolution of phones like the OPPO F9/F9 Pro, the Oneplus 6T, Realme 2 Pro and Vivo V11 to name a few. And what do these phones have in common save for their resolution? A water-drop notch or as Samsung will call it, an Infinity U display. This means the Galaxy M20 will most likely be one of the first Samsung phones with a notch and to rock the new Infinity display.

The benchmark result shows the Galaxy M20 (SM-M205F) is powered by an Exynos 7885 processor with a Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. It also has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. There are reports it will also have a 64GB version (probably with 4GB of RAM).

The Galaxy M20 has an AnTuTu score of 107452 points, similar to that of phones powered by the Snapdragon 636 processor.

Samsung will soon launch a new line of smartphones under the Galaxy M series. The Galaxy M is said to be the result of a merger of the Galaxy J, Galaxy On, and Galaxy C series. The first smartphone under the series, the Galaxy M20 has appeared on Geekbench.

The Galaxy M20 was benchmarked yesterday. It appears on the benchmark site as the “samsung SM-M205F”, running Android 8.1 Oreo and powered by an Exynos 7885 processor paired with 3GB of RAM.

The Exynos 7885 is a 14nm octa-core chipset with 2 Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and 6 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.6GHz. It has a Mali-G71 MP2 GPU, Bluetooth 5.0, and support for LTE Cat. 12 3CA download and LTE Cat. 13 2CA upload speeds. On paper, the Exynos 7885 should offer better performance than the Snapdragon 630 and the Snapdragon 632 processors.

The benchmark result shows the Galaxy M20 scored 1319 points in the single-core test and 4074 points in the multi-core test. While the multi-core test score is similar to that of the Snapdragon 630 (Nokia 6.1 used to compare), the Exynos 7885 has a much higher single-core score.

Its single-core score matches that of the Snapdragon 636 which should make the Galaxy M20 a direct competitor to the Redmi Note 5 (Pro), Redmi Note 6 Pro, and the Nokia 6.1 Plus.

There is no info on a release date for the phone and there is still a lot we don’t know about the phone save for the fact that it will come in 32GB and 64GB variants.
