List of the best Samsung phones under Rs 20000

Galaxy S21 FE 5G

1. Galaxy S21 FE 5G

A flagship phone like the Galaxy S21 FE for around Rs 20,000 is almost a no-brainer pick. It features high-end hardware, including a great AMOLED screen and a high-performance Exynos 2100 chipset for great performance and efficiency.

The Galaxy S21 FE also features a high-end triple rear camera setup, which includes a telephoto unit, unlike any other phone on the list. The 32MP selfie camera also performs well. Plus, it supports wireless charging.

The overall hardware is solid, but the software support may be disappointing in 2026, as the device won’t receive any Android OS upgrades. So, if you’re not concerned about that, then the Galaxy S21 FE is your best pick at this price point.

Galaxy S21 FE specs:

Display: 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+

Processor: Samsung Exynos 2100 (5 nm)

Software: Android 12, up to four major Android upgrades

Rear camera: 12MP (wide) + 8MP (telephoto, 3x optical zoom) + 12MP (123˚ ultrawide)

Selfie camera: 32MP

Battery: 4500mAh

Charging: 25W (wired), 15W (wireless)

Connectivity: Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C

Others: under display fingerprint sensor (optical), stereo speakers

2. Galaxy F56 5G

The Galaxy F56 5G offers a solid value for its price. It’s powered by an Exynos 1480 processor, which delivers smooth, lag-free gaming, and a large AMOLED screen further enhances the experience.

The smartphone features an excellent rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2MP macro unit. It’s got a 12MP selfie sensor that delivers good results in daylight. You get a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging and an under-display fingerprint sensor.

The Galaxy F56 also offers excellent software support, promising up to six major Android upgrades, all the way up to Android 21. That’s an unmatchable commitment for a mid-range phone.

Galaxy F56 5G specs:

Display: 6.74-inch Super AMOLED+, 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate

Processor: Samsung Exynos 1480 (4 nm)

Software: Android 15, up to six major Android upgrades

Rear camera: 50MP (wide) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 2MP (macro)

Selfie camera: 12MP

Battery: 5000mAh

Charging: 45W (wired)

Connectivity: Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C 2.0

Others: under display fingerprint sensor (optical)

3. Galaxy A53 5G

The Galaxy A53 delivers big on camera. It offers a powerful rear camera setup, led by a 64MP primary sensor. The other two sensors include a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP macro unit. The 32MP selfie camera captures good details.

The device is powered by an Exynos 1280 chipset, which delivers smooth day-to-day performance and excellent power efficiency. It can even handle gaming at moderate graphics settings without any visible lag. The 5,000 mAh battery easily lasts a day on normal use.

While the Galaxy A53 packs solid hardware, software support in 2026 falls short. The device was promised four major OS upgrades, which have already been released, so it isn’t eligible for Android 17 or future upgrades.

8. Galaxy A17 5G

The Galaxy A17 doesn’t go deep into the pocket to become a reliable daily driver. It features a large AMOLED screen, a 5,000mAh battery for all-day backup, and an Exynos 1330 chipset for reliable performance.

The device features a triple-camera setup on the back, including a 50MP main shooter, a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro unit. There’s a 13MP snapper for selfies and video calls. The best part? It promises OS updates for six years, up to Android 21. This is where Samsung phones stand out from the crowd.

The mid-range segment for smartphones has some fierce competition in India. Especially in the models with a budget pricing, brands are fighting for the most popular space in the smartphone market. It’s hard to pick and choose which one is the absolute best option, but there are always standouts among the crown. And in the sub 20,000 INR price range, the Samsung Galaxy M35 is one such powerhouse.

Samsung Galaxy M35 5G

Display & Design

While the budget mid range phones are often shipped with LCD panels, the South Korean tech giant equips the Galaxy M35 with an AMOLED display. It sports a tall 6.6-inch screen with an FHD+ resolution, a center aligned punch hole cutout, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits of peak brightness, and somewhat uniform bezels.

This makes it a perfect device for both videos and movies, while gamers can also enjoy the high refresh rate. The screen is also shielded by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus+. One of the areas where Samsung cuts corners is with its design. The back features a plastic panel, and the sides employ a plastic frame. It comes in multiple color options, namely Moonlight Blue, Daybreak Blue, and Thunder Grey variants.

The Hardware

Under the hood, the Galaxy M35 is equipped with the Exynos 1380 SoC (AnTuTu Score 595K+), which is a capable mid range chip that offers performance closer to the Snapdragon 778G. This isn’t very impressive but for this price tag, you can expect decent performance for daily use and gaming. The Exynos 1380 is coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It runs on the Android 14 OS based One UI 6.1 custom skin out of the box and Samsung promises 4 years of major OS updates and 5 years of security patches.

Arriving at one of its highlighting aspects, the Samsung Galaxy M35 is powered by a massive 6,000mAh battery pack. This cell also supports 25W wired fast charging. This device was praised for its battery life, so power users can rest easy about this phone lasting the day. All of these specs are cooled by a vapor cooling chamber. Other notable features include Samsung Wallet (with a tap and pay feature), a side mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.3, and Always on display.

For photography, the Galaxy M35 features a triple camera setup on the back. This includes a 50-megapixel primary shooter with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra wide angle lens, and a 2-megapixel marco sensor. On the front, users get a 13-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

An attractive price tag

It is hard to recommend a smartphone from specs alone without taking its pricing into account. All of these specs wouldn’t be worthwhile if it was too expensive, but thankfully, you can get your hands on the Galaxy M35 for a starting price tag of just 19,999 INR. Buyers can also avail a flat 1,000 INR discount with an exchange offer of up to 18,850 INR as well. There are also bank offers that bring the price down to another 2,000 INR. This easily makes it a great value for money in India, where consumers are price conscious.

While it has decent specs on board, how does it compare to last year’s Galaxy M34? Let’s take a closer look to see how they stack up against each other.

Display and Design

Both phones feature Super AMOLED displays with Full HD+ resolutions and a 120Hz refresh rate. The M34 has a slightly smaller 6.5-inch display compared to the M35’s 6.6-inch screen.

Additionally, the M34 includes Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, whereas Samsung hasn’t specified any protective layer for the M35’s screen. The latter also lacks an official IP rating, while the M34 is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance.

In terms of design, the Galaxy M34 is slightly smaller and lighter than the M35. This difference could be due to the M35’s glass rear panel, compared to the M34’s plastic back. However, they both look quite similar from the back.

Samsung has also replaced the U-shaped notch of the M34 with a modern punch-hole cutout on the Galaxy M35, and the bezels around the display are also thinner this time around

Performance

For performance, the Galaxy M35 is powered by the newer Exynos 1380 chipset with a 4×2.4 GHz Cortex-A78 and 4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 CPU configuration. Whereas, the M34’s Exynos 1280 has a 2×2.4 GHz Cortex-A78 and 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 setup.

The new chip in the M35 should deliver smoother performance and a better multitasking experience. However, for basic tasks like social media browsing and taking photos, both phones will perform similarly. Samsung has paired the SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The M34 came with Android 13 with the option to upgrade to Android 14, while the M35 runs the newer Android 14 out of the box. Both use Samsung’s One UI interface.

Cameras

Galaxy M34 and M35 are equipped with a triple rear camera system featuring a 50MP main sensor with OIS (optical image stabilization).

The M34 has an 8MP ultrawide sensor with a 120-degree field of view, while the M35 boasts a wider 123-degree field of view. The latter also has a slightly better 5MP macro sensor compared to the M34’s 2MP option. The front-facing cameras are identical 13MP sensors on both phones.

Connectivity and Battery

As for connectivity options, they include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.

However, the M35 takes the lead with Wi-Fi 6 support for faster wireless speeds and stereo speakers for audio. The M34 misses on those but features a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.

Both phones pack large 6000mAh batteries, likely offering good endurance on a single charge. They support 25W wired charging.

Conclusion

The choice between the Galaxy M34 and M35 depends on your priorities and budget. The M34 will be a more affordable option considering its older model now. It still offers a good display, capable cameras, and a long-lasting battery. However, it sacrifices some performance and misses out on features like stereo speakers.

On the other hand, the M35 has a newer processor, possibly better camera performance with a wider ultrawide sensor and macro lens, and includes stereo speakers. However, it will be priced high and also lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Consider your needs – if you need better processing power, the latest software, and some camera upgrades, the M35 might be worth the extra cost. However, if you’re on a budget and need a good value-for-money phone, the M34 could be a solid choice.

The new phone comes with a couple of upgrades, a slightly bigger display, a new chip, and support for stereo output. Here is a look at the specifications, features, and price of the device.

Samsung Galaxy M35 5G specifications and features

Samsung Galaxy M35 5G

The M35 features an in-display fingerprint sensor and dual speakers, replacing the previous model’s side-facing fingerprint scanner and single speaker.

The Galaxy M35 has a 13-megapixel camera on the front. On the back, it has a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. It runs on the One UI 6.1-based Android 14. The phone is promised to receive four years of Android OS upgrades and up to five years of security updates.

Under the hood, the Galaxy M35 features the Exynos 1380 chipset and 8 GB of RAM. The device houses a 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. The retail package for the device does not include a charger. The M35 has 256 GB of internal storage and a microSD card for extra storage.

The Galaxy M35 comes with support for dual SIM 5G and Wi-Fi 6 among other connectivity features. The brand claims that the device has an advanced cooling system for heat dissipation. The M35 measures 162.3 x 78.6 x 9.1mm and weighs 222 grams.

The Galaxy M35 is identical to the Galaxy A35, which debuted earlier this year. The noticeable differences on the A35 include different color options and a comparatively smaller 5,000mAh battery.

Galaxy M35: A refreshed design & 6000 mAh battery

Evan Blass shared 3D renders video of the Galaxy M35 on his Twitter account. The video reveals the color options and design of the Galaxy M35. The phone features a punch-hole notch and a triple camera setup, similar to the previous Galaxy A series.
The South Korean tech giant’s Indian support page for the Galaxy M35 just went live. It revealed that the device carries the SM-M356B/DS model number. Unfortunately, finer details like specs and pricing were not revealed on the website, although it does confirm dual SIM support. However, the certification sighting on FCC and DEKRA confirmed a few more key specifications of the upcoming mid range device.

The device was spotted with the Samsung EB-BM156ABY battery model on DEKRA, which is rated at 5,880mAh. In other words, the company will likely market it with a 6,000mAh battery capacity, which is quite large. On the other hand, the FCC certification confirmed that the device will ship with the EP-TA800 charging adapter, which means it supports 25W wired fast charging via USB Type-C.

A device suspected to be the Samsung Galaxy M35 5G has surfaced in the GeekBench benchmark database carrying the model number SM-M356B.

The benchmark listing reveals that the Galaxy M35 5G will likely be powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1380 chipset. It’s an octa-core 5nm chip with four Cortex-A78 cores (clocked at 2.4 GHz) and four Cortex-A55 cores (clocked at 2.0 GHz), along with the Mali G68 GPU.

In the benchmark results, the smartphone scored 656 points in the single-core test and 1967 points in the multi-core test. The tested device was equipped with 6GB of RAM, but Samsung will likely offer different memory configurations during launch. Additionally, the device has Android 14 installed on it.

Given the history of the M series, the upcoming M35 5G will likely be a rebranded version of the recently launched Galaxy A35 5G.
