Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy M44 5G model soon. The new device is the latest entry in the popular Galaxy M series, which is rumored to launch soon. Now, it has been spotted on a new certification platform prior to its release.

The South Korean tech giant’s Galaxy M44 5G was spotted on Bluetooth SIG carrying the model number SM-M446K. The online database revealed that this model supports Bluetooth version 5.2. This listing also confirms the Galaxy M44 5G moniker. The latest sighting also hints at the device’s imminent launch considering it has surfaced in numerous reports recently.

Just like the Bluetooth SIG listing, the Galaxy M44 5G was also spotted on the NRRA certification platform in South Korea. Furthermore, a live image leak revealed its design as well. All of this hints that the smartphone is nearing announcement. A GeekBench benchmark listing confirmed some of its key specifications. It includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC that is paired with 6GB of RAM. The smartphone will ship with Android 13 OS based One UI custom skin out of the box.

The live images revealed that the Samsung Galaxy M44 5G features a triple camera setup on the rear, which is vertically stacked with an LED flash. Its rear panel seems to feature a matte finish but other finer details like camera specs and display parameters are still unclear. Back in July, Samsung launched the Galaxy M34 5G smartphone in India. The device targeted the budget segment with a stacked spec sheet. Now, it looks like Samsung has already started working on its successor, the Galaxy M44, and the first image of the device has already leaked.

The leaked image comes from tipster Anthony(@TheGalox_), revealing that the M44 has the design language of the current Galaxy series smartphones. The back features three camera protrusions with an LED flash on the side. The back appears to be made out of plastic, and the sides could feature a flat design. Since the smartphone has only emerged on the NRRA certification, it looks like the device will launch in South Korea first, likely under the Samsung Galaxy Jump 3 name.

A previous benchmark listing has revealed that the smartphone will feature a Snapdragon 888 chip. Although it is an older chip compared to the Exynos 1280, it performs better than the Exynos in almost all aspects. It’ll be interesting to see if the global version of the smartphone will also be getting this chip.

The previous model, the Galaxy M34 5G, featured a smooth 120Hz AMOLED display and an impressive 50MP OIS-equipped main camera. In terms of performance, it packed an Exynos 1280 chip, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, along with a hefty 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. If Samsung opts to stick with this hardware for the upcoming model, it would still be a significant upgrade, especially with the inclusion of the SD888. However, in the event that the global versions do come with the SD888, we can anticipate a slight increase in price.

A new Galaxy M Series smartphone i.e. Galaxy M44 5G is in the works if we go with the recent benchmark listing and its latest appearance on NRRA Korea, the launch seems nearing. Korea’s NRRA certification agency confirms it is a 5G smartphone and is manufactured in Vietnam and Korea. Bearing model SM-M446K, there’s hardly anything evident about the smartphone specifications and features in the listing.

It is the smartphone’s Korean variant that has made it to the NRRA website. However, it will launch as a successor to the Galaxy M34 5G launched in India recently. We are not sure about the launch date but we expect it to launch a bit early.

The smartphone also appeared on Geekebnch a few weeks ago and revealed some key specifications of the device. The smartphone codenamed “Lahaina” was spotted with 6GB RAM and Snapdragon 888 SoC. The SoC offers a maximum clock speed of 2.84GHz, an Octa-Core CPU, and an Adreno 660 GPU. It couples cluster configuration – 4x cores @1.8GHz, 3x cores @2.42.GHz, and 1x core @2.84GHz. It runs Android 13 OS.

Samsung Galaxy M44 5G is expected to launch in Korea, India, and some other countries. It is expected to pack better specifications than the Galaxy M34 5G which packs a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display having a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung Galaxy M34 5G is available in two storage models 6GB +128GB and 8GB + 128GB. Other features include a 6000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging, a triple-rear camera module, and an Exynos 1280 SoC.
