Uh oh, Galaxy S10 and Note 10 owners. There’s a chance your phone might be experiencing a software brick after installing a recent update.

Over the past day, reports have been popping up online about Galaxy phones being stuck in a boot loop – basically, they keep restarting and can’t get past the boot screen.

Threads started by users “rbthompsonv” and “mikethespike056” on Reddit are buzzing with complaints, and it seems the issue might be affecting most (if not all) Galaxy S10 and Note 10 models. 

There are also reports of the Galaxy M51 getting bricked, so it is possible the problem extends beyond these specific smartphones.

The exact cause is still unclear, though. An Android Authority report suggests that it could be due to the recent SmartThings Framework update, which started rolling out a couple of days ago. 

Unfortunately, the current solution for those facing bricked phones is a harsh one: a factory reset. Since the phones can not boot normally, accessing data or attempting software fixes is impossible. This means a complete wipe of your phone’s storage, so a recent backup of your apps and data is crucial.

While frustrating, a factory reset can potentially revive your phone and get it working again. However, it comes at the cost of losing everything you haven’t backed up – photos, messages, app data, and the like.

But if you haven’t updated your Galaxy S10, Note 10, or M51 recently, you might want to hold off for now. Here’s hoping Samsung addresses the issue soon and offers a more user-friendly solution.

We will keep an eye on developments and update this story as we learn more. In the meantime, S10 and Note 10 users might want to hold off on installing any recent updates until the situation is clarified.

Samsung typically supports its smartphones for 5 years, but the Galaxy Note 10 series launched in 2019 only received 3 major OS updates and 4 years of security updates. As of today, the Galaxy Note 10 series has reached the end of its software support. This means that these phones will no longer receive new operating system updates or security patches.

Samsung previously moved the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus to quarterly updates, meaning they were getting security matches every 3 months. Now, the Korean company has put an end to Note series software support altogether (via Sammobile). The two phones were launched in 2019 running Android 9 out of the box. Samsung later updated them to Android 10 in early 2020. The Android 11 update made its way to the phones in late 2021, and the Android 12 update in late 2022.

While this may be disappointing to some users, it is important to note that the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus are still capable phones. They will continue to work as they did before, but they may be more vulnerable to security risks without the latest security updates. If you are concerned about security, you may want to consider upgrading to a newer phone that is still under software support.

Notably, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite will continue to receive quarterly security updates as it was launched later in 2020. Other models in the Note series, such as the Note 20 Ultra and Note 20, will receive updates until 2024, although no major Android releases are expected.

Samsung has recently rolled out the May 2023 security update for its Galaxy Note 10 series in the United States. Following its release in South Korea, the update is now available for carrier-unlocked models in the US, while the global versions of the smartphone are yet to receive it.

Galaxy Note 10 gets May 2023 security update: What’s new?

The latest software version, labeled N97xU1UEU7HWE1, brings the May 2023 security patch to unlocked models of the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+. The update primarily focuses on addressing more than 70 security vulnerabilities identified in Galaxy devices, including fixes for issues within the FactoryTest function, ActivityManagerService, kernel log file, Theme Manager, GearManagerStub, and the Tips app.

Furthermore, the update resolves security flaws in the Shannon modem present in Exynos processors, as well as the bootloader, Telephony framework, call settings components and AppLock access control. In addition to Samsung’s fixes, the update also includes 58 security patches from Google.

To install the May 2023 security update on your unlocked Galaxy Note 10 or Galaxy Note 10+ in the US, navigate to Settings, then select Software update, and tap on Download and Install. Alternatively, you can manually download the firmware from the official site or third-party sites and flash it onto your device.

Samsung introduced the Galaxy Note 10 series in the second half of 2019 with Android 9. The devices received the Android 10 update in early 2020, followed by the Android 11 update later in the same year. The Android 12 update arrived for the Galaxy Note 10 series in late 2021. Please note that these smartphones will not receive any future Android OS updates.

AT&T is preparing to shut down its 3G network in just five months from now, in February 2022, and the telco is not in the mood to leave behind its customer with no signal. 

In an interesting turn of events, AndroidPolice’s founder Artem Russakovskii received a Galaxy Note 9. The irony was that he didn’t have any clue about it; meanwhile, several Reddit users have been reporting the same incident where people have reported receiving a two-year-old Galaxy smartphone out of the blue. Well, many customers also received the Galaxy Note 10’s with communication from AT&T.

“We have not changed our plans to replace 3G network-dependent devices. However, inventory constraints mean we sometimes must find substitutes for some devices,” AT&T in a statement to consumers when inquired about the mysterious Galaxy Note’s. Moreover, AT&T confirmed to AndroidPolice that the new smartphones would be coming with the factory operating system.

Well, AT&T is preparing to shut down its 3G network in about 5 months, that’s February 2022, and the carrier doesn’t want its customers to be stuck with no signal messages. So, AT&T seems to be upgrading their customers’ hardware to something compatible with atleast 4G networks. 

T Mobile will offer free 5G upgrades to customers using the 3G CDMA network upon shutdown. However, it’s not clear if T Mobile will be offering hardware upgrades or not. Meanwhile, Verizon has given its users quite a lot of time to figure out their contingency plan.

According to the report, Ma Bell is offering like-for-like platform replacement to its consumers for quite some time now. The Flip phone owners have been getting new compliant flip phones, whereas users with older iPhones are getting the iPhone SE 2. AndroidPolice also suggests that Android users have been getting RADIANT Cores on demand for a new smartphone. The publication reports that some users are getting the smartphones they’ve asked for while others are not. It also suggests that AT&T have been sending S9 and A11 to some customers.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series, including the base model and the Galaxy Note 10+ is apparently facing an issue that is affecting its S Pen. A number of users have recently started complaining about this issue.

According to a SamMobile report, the high end devices from 2019 is facing an issue that causes the S Pen to disconnect every now and then. This can further lead to certain functions and features not being usable within the Galaxy Note 10 series, including the Air Actions. While the problem of disconnection of the S Pen isn’t exactly a new issue, the frequency at which it occurs has risen recently. A few of the Galaxy Note 10 users found that the issue started appearing after installing either the March 2021 or April 2021 security patch.

Although, there is not evidence to support this claim at the moment. But, the users are frustrated with the issue and have called for Samsung to fix the issue. As per some users, they are greeted with a disconnection error as soon as they take the S Pen out from its silo. The issue still persists even if the connect the S Pen again. Oddly, despite the S Pen getting disconnected from the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+. users can still use it to navigate, scroll, and touch the screen.

However, they can’t use Air Actions to control the camera app, volume navigating the photos in the gallery app. From the various reports, it is clear that the problem has been popping up since mid 2020 with no solutions out right now. Unfortunately, the South Korean tech giant has yet to address the issue or offer any fix, so stay tuned for any more updates.

After the current flagships, Samsung has started seeding the Android 11 update for its yesteryear smartphones. First of a probable bunch is the Galaxy Note 10 series of Smartphones.

As Sammobile reports, Samsung is rolling out the One UI 3.0 based on Android 11 update to Galaxy Note 10(SM-970F), and Note 10+(SM-975F), Note 10+ 5G(SM-976B) users. A firmware version N97xFXXU6ETLL is reaching countries like Germany for 4G variants while Spain and Switzerland are getting the N976BXXU6ETLL version for the 5G model.

Along with the major Android upgrade, the update also brings the latest December 2020 security patch. Samsung has been updating its flagship smartphones with One UI 3.0 stable update from Early December. It began with the Galaxy S20 series and moved over to other devices of 2020.

Anyway, the Galaxy Note 10 which launched back in 2019, gets the latest Android features like bubbles(conversations), media controls, improved permission management, and organized notifications. Additionally, you can also expect the One UI 3.0 features to land with this update.

In an unfortunate move, Samsung had to suspend the One UI 3.0 Beta update for the Galaxy Z Fold2. The update, which started rolling out today in South Korea, apparently locked the users on the lock screen and didn’t let them go beyond.

The issue, as reported by Tizenhelp(via Sammobile), popped up on the Samsung Community forums in South Korea soon after it rolled out. Accordingly, the new One UI 3.0 Beta update for Galaxy Z Fold2 with firmware version F916NKSU1ZTKB came with a serious bug. After updating, users tried to unlock the device with a password, fingerprint, or other method but it became useless. If you recall, Samsung had to postpone the Beta update for other devices following issues with battery and performance on the Galaxy Note 10.

Only a couple of days back, the company had resumed the One UI 3.0 Beta program starting with Galaxy Z Flip. Consequently, it became the first foldable device to get the One UI 3.0 Beta based on Android 11. While we thought Samsung must have fixed the issues on the previous instance, it seems the update for the next foldable device brings different issues.

Samsung confirmed the OneUI 3.0 based on Android 11 back at the event on August 5. The beta program began after the initial developer build. And the company is trying to hit the target right and reportedly has a vision to bring it close to 90 devices. Anyway, the public final version will likely roll out before 2020 ends.

That said, Samsung has reportedly rolled back the update before it affects a large audience. In any case, if you are someone who is living in South Korea and you have accidentally updated it, one way out is “Factory reset”. However, if you haven’t updated your foldable yet, we suggest you to avoid it and wait till Samsung fixes the issue.

In similar news, the company has reportedly started rolling out the One UI 3.0 Beta update to the yesteryear flagships like  Galaxy S10, S10+, S10e in countries like India, UK, and South Korea. Samsung is finally rolling out the latest One UI 3.0 Beta for the Galaxy Z Flip. This update signals that Samsung has fixed the issues found on the recent beta and that it will resume the update cycle for other devices.

Samsung has reportedly suspended the One UI 3.0 beta update after users reported persistent issues on the recent update for Galaxy Note 10 series. The list of devices whose update is postponed includes Galaxy S10, S10+, S10e, Z Flip 5G, Z Fold 2, and more.

As reported by Tizenhelp(via Sammobile), a Beta Operation Manager has informed the new decision on Samsung’s South Korean community forums. As per the post, the manager says they are working to stabilize the errors since the One UI 3.0 beta update for Galaxy Note 10, Note 10+ rolled out. Further, he mentions that the postponement will last till the stabilization work is done to some extent. Henceforth, we can expect the update cycle to resume for Galaxy S10 models and beyond.

That said, as per the report, the prime issue is the battery drain on the Galaxy Note 10 series devices. Additionally, few other users also faced app crashes. Besides, the report also says Samsung rolled out the One UI 3.0 update for Galaxy Z Flip 5G yesterday. But quickly pulled it back and now the community page shows the UI update for the device as ‘coming soon’.  This is probably to avoid the above issues extending to other devices.

In offline markets, the Galaxy Note 10 has been available for Rs 72,695 (~$982). The publication reported that Note 10 has received a heft price cut of Rs 27,695 (~$374). Hence, the smartphone is now available at an irresistible price of Rs 45,000 (~$608) in the offline markets in India. The publication claims only the Aura Red, but also its other color variants are available with the revised pricing.

Huawei P30 Pro

If there was one Huawei phone that stood out in 2019, it would be none other than the Huawei P30 Pro. Huawei stunned us all with the amazing periscope camera setup and the fancy moon mode, never before seen on a smartphone of its size.

The P30 Pro is one of the best camera smartphones of 2019. The phone features a powerful quad-camera setup with a Leica lens that includes a 40MP primary camera, an 8MP periscope lens, a 20MP ultra wide-angle shooter, and a 3D ToF sensor. It was a product of innovation, being the world’s first phone to employ the RYYG based Sony’s new IMX650 sensor instead of a traditional RGB Bayer color filter.

The Galaxy Note 10+ camera isn’t all fancy like the P30 Pro but its quad-camera setup featuring a 12MP primary (dual-pixel) sensor, another 12MP telephoto sensor for 2x optical zoom, a 16MP ultrawide lens, and a ToF 3D VGA camera takes consistent high-quality images. The phone features a beautiful 6.5-inch 1242 x 2688 pixel resolution XDR OLED display with 120Hz touch sensing for fluid touch response. The Hexa-core A13 Bionic chip is one of the fastest smartphone processors in the market right now and that’s paired with a 4-core Apple GPU. The 4000mAh battery inside the iPhone 11 Pro Max is the largest battery capacity on an iPhone, ever!

All these features are top of the line, but the real reason this phone makes it to the Best Flagship Smartphones of 2019 is because of its triple camera setup at the back. However, after discussing the Pros and Cons of the Galaxy Fold, we decided to include it as a special category. After all, it is the world’s first commercial foldable in the market right now and selling more than 500,000 units of an experimental smartphone is success in itself!

The Galaxy Fold is the world’s first true commercial foldable available for purchase. Despite its ups and downs, Samsung has managed to create a phone that’s relatively durable, powered by top-end hardware, and features a display that transforms into a tablet with a simple unfold. If you have an eye for revolutionary technologies and an unlimited budget, the Galaxy Fold is the smartphone to buy in 2019.

The Galaxy Fold features two displays, a traditional 4.6-inch AMOLED panel outside and a Foldable Dynamic AMOLED 7.3-inch display inside. Samsung has finally released the official stable build for Android 10 OS for its Galaxy Note 10 series. The company has started the rollout of the update in Germany for those who participated in the Open Beta program. It is available for both Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+.

The new update brings a major Android OS update alongside Samsung’s One UI 2.0 custom skin. The company had revealed its beta program for this update several weeks ago which is finally available as an official stable version for Galaxy Note 10 owners. Open Beta programs are essentially early unpolished builds that are crucial for the company to test and develop a bug-free stable build for its users.

According to a new report, Samsung is starting the Open Beta testing for the Galaxy S9 series which will receive it’s One UI 2. It was previously revealed that Samsung’s Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, and Galaxy Note 9 series would receive the open beta but the exact date was not specified. Now, it is confirmed to arrive next Monday on 16th December 2019.

For those interested in participating in the open beta, users must download the Samsung Members app. Through this you must register for the Open Beta program and once eligible will receive the Beta build. To install, go to Settings>Software updates>Download updates manually.
Note: Make sure to back up your devices, as it is Beta build and might lead to loss of user data. Also, update any app to the latest builds to avoid compatibility issues.

Recently, the South Korean tech giant had also announced the list of system upgrade plans for Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S10e; these devices will receive the stable live build for Android 10 OS in January 2020. Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+, on the other hand, will receive the software update in February 2020.

Various smartphone manufacturers are now working to bring the latest Android 10 update to their devices. Realme has recently confirmed that it will be releasing Android 10 update for its phones from the beginning of 2020. Sony will be rolling out Android 10 for its phones starting from next month. OnePlus has already released the latest Android 10 update for its eligible phones. Xiaomi too has started releasing the new version of Android for its phones. Now Samsung Israel has confirmed the Android 10 roadmap for its smartphones through the Samsung Members app.

Samsung will be releasing One UI 2.0 based Android 10 OS update for its devices. The rollout will start from early 2020. The Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10+, Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy A30 are scheduled to get the Android 10 update in January. The Galaxy A80 will get the update in March. The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ is slated to receive the latest edition of Android in April.

Some of the other devices that will be treated with Android 10 update in April include Galaxy A50, Galaxy A70, Galaxy A9 (2018), Galaxy A7 (2018) and Galaxy Tab S6 tablet. In May, the Android 10 update will be released for Galaxy A10, Galaxy A10s, Galaxy A20 and Galaxy A30s. The Galaxy J6 and Galaxy A20s will be getting the upgrade in June. The Galaxy J6+, Galaxy J8 and Galaxy Tab S5e users in Israel will be provided with the update in July.  In August, the Galaxy Tab A 8 (2019) will be updated to Android 10.  The users of the Galaxy Tab S4 and Galaxy Tab A 10.5 will have to wait until September to get the next Android update.

Since the information has been released by Samsung Israel, its Android 10 roadmap may not align with markets such as the U.S. and the U.K. In October, Google released a list of manufacturers that included brands like ASUS, LG, Motorola, OPPO, Realme, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, Transsion and Vivo that have committed towards releasing Android 10 upgrade for their devices by the end of 2020. Hence, it is possible official information on Samsung Galaxy Android 10 roadmap for other markets will appear in the coming weeks.

Samsung is now set to kick-off the Android 10-based One UI 2.0 beta program for the Galaxy Note 10 series. This is coming just a week after the beta program rolled out for the Galaxy S10. This latest information comes thanks to a poster on the company’s Korean website. The poster confirms One UI 2.0 beta will be available for the Galaxy Note10, Note10+, and their 5G versions.

Registration for the beta program is yet to commence but once it does, you can enrol from the Samsung Members app but that’ll be exclusive to users in Korea. The date for the global rollout of the update is not yet confirmed officially but the company’s customer care representative recently said that it’s delayed until October 24.

DxOMARK is known for its smartphone camera reviews and while there are folks who take their reviews with a pinch of salt, manufacturers (read Chinese manufacturers) still brag about the scores of their smartphones. A few months ago, DxOMARK began scoring the selfie cameras for smartphones too and just last month, it announced that it would add night camera and ultrawide-angle scores to its camera test protocol since both have become popular features present in phones.

Today, DxOMARK has introduced a new test protocol for smartphones called the DxOMARL Audio Test Protocol. This tests a phone’s audio recording and output quality and is only based on the playback performance of the phone’s internal speakers not when paired to headphones or external speakers.

The overall score is split into playback and recording just the way a phone’s camera score is split into photo and video. The test is carried out by audio engineers and experts in special labs and can take up to a week for a single device. DxOMARK says during testing, they recreate multiple usage scenarios such as a  busy street. They also compare phones together during testing to make sure that their test scores are impartial.

At the moment, DxOMARK has tested seven devices they are the iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone XS Max, Galaxy Note10+, Galaxy S10+, Huawei Mate 20 X and Sony Xperia 1. Based on their test results, the Mate 20 X is at the top of the list and this is partly due to its stereo microphones which gives it a high score for recording.

The iPhone XS Max comes in second with a score of 74 points (Playback: 75, Recording: 69), pushing its successor the iPhone 11 Pro Max to third place with a score of 71 ((Playback: 72, Recording: 68). The Galaxy Note10+ and Galaxy S10+ score 66 and 65 points respectively, while the Honor 20 Pro and Xperia 1 close the list with a score of 53 points and 45 points respectively. The Honor 20 Pro and Xperia 1 not only score lowest but are the only two phones with a wide margin between their playback and recording scores.

DxOMARK says they will keep reviewing more devices and will keep updating the list, so if your favorite device isn’t on the list, it may be added in the future.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ 5G are available in the U.S. with respective price tags of $949 and $1,099. Fresh report that has appeared on SamMobile reads that the South Korean tech giant could be working on a cheaper Galaxy Note smartphone. In 2014, the South Korean company had sold a cheaper edition of Note 3 called Galaxy Note 3 Neo. There is a possibility that the newly spotted Samsung SM-N770F could be the affordable version of the Galaxy Note 10.

The model numbers of Galaxy Note models begin with letter N. All the Note series of smartphones that have launched so far have SM-N9XX model numbers. The Galaxy Note 10’s model number is SM-N970 and the older Galaxy Note 3 Neo had Sm-N750 model number. Hence, it is being speculated that the SM-N770F may arrive as a stripped-down version of the Note 10. It remains to be seen whether it will be launching as Note 10 Neo.

The other reason why SM-N770F seems to be a non-flagship Note smartphone is that Samsung has been reportedly working on SM-F700F as an affordable version of the Galaxy Fold foldable phone. The flagship edition Galaxy Fold has a model number of SM-F900F. Hence, the SM-F700F seems to be its cheaper variant.

In related news, a report from the previous week had claimed Samsung may consider killing the Galaxy Note series in 2020. The report had claimed that that the Galaxy Note series could be replaced by Galaxy Fold lineups.

Samsung has officially taken the wraps off its new Galaxy Note 10 lineup in China today. The Note 10 series is the company’s flagship lineup for the second half of the year and features top of the line specifications catering to the high-end market. Since we already know everything about the phone, let’s focus on the pricing of Note 10 and Note 10+ in China first.

Galaxy Note 10 China Pricing & Availability

Samsung is offering two models in the new lineup, the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10+. Both the models have just one memory variant. The Galaxy Note 10 comes in an 8GB + 256GB variant while the Note 10+ 5G model comes in a 12GB +256GB variant in China. The Note 10 model is priced at 6599 yuan ($934) while the Note 10+ 5G will sell for 7999 yuan ($1132).

As for Note 10’s China availability, both the models start selling from September 12. The company is promising delivery in 7 working days. There are three colors available for both the models: Aura Glow, Aura White, and Aura Black.

Galaxy Note 10 Features

To recap, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 comes in two sizes, a 6.3-inch FHD+ dynamic AMOLED Note 10 model and a larger 6.8-inch WQHD+ dynamic AMOLED Galaxy Note 10+ model. The Plus variant comes with 5G support. There are no pop-ups or sliders as both the models use a cut out front-facing camera.

The models launched in China feature the Snapdragon 855 processor with the Note 10+ getting the additional SDX50 5G modem. While these two models offer powerful performance, the camera is their big highlight. In fact, Note 10+ 5G’s quad-cameras is currently rated as the best smartphone camera in the market. The smaller sibling features a triple camera setup featuring a 16MP ultrawide-angle lens, 12MP wide-angle lens, and another 12MP telephoto lens. Note that the setup remains the same for the Note 10+ 5G too, except for an additional TOF 3D camera.

UMIDIGI is getting ready for its next flagship, UMIDIGI Z5 Pro, and has just teased a 64MP sample image shot by the device. The company’s sample image shows a cat and a zoomed-in section of the cat’s fur. As indicated the 64MP sensor is from Samsung and should be the same Samsung ISOCELL GW1 as Xiaomi’s and Realme’s devices. There’s little more to say about the photo other than it certainly seems to pack plenty of detail. The GW1 sensor measures 1/1.7″ in size with 1.6um pixel size and is 38% larger than the current 48MP sensor. It uses ISOCELL Plus technology that increases light intake and catches colors more accurately resulting in bright, sharp, and vibrant images across different lighting environments.

The Z5 Pro will feature the 64MP sensor and while the company hasn’t yet announced this year’s Z Series, the Z5 Pro is definitely one of the devices coming soon. We hope that there will be a non-pro version that will at least feature a 48MP sensor on the back so that users will have to choose between 2 great devices according to their budget.

In theory, an ultrasonic scanner is more secure, because it uses soundwaves to map a 3D print of the user’s unique epidermis, whereas optical scanners rely on light information to capture a 2D photo of the fingerprint. There has been no evidence supporting that an ultrasonic solution is more secure than an optical solution and on top of that, real-world tests from many reviewers confirm that an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor is faster than the ultrasonic one.

Compared to the previous-gen, the latest optical in-screen fingerprint sensor offered by Goodix has a 100% larger optical sensing area, an upgraded recognition algorithm, 35% faster screen unlock, and 30% better performance in extreme situations according to UMIDIGI. We will be able to check the performance in real-life soon and decide if the $200 budget phone offers better in-screen fingerprint unlock experience than Samsung’s $1000 flagship.

Samsung will be holding a global launch event on Aug. 7 in New York, US to announce the Galaxy Note 10 series. Rumors have it that the Galaxy Note 10 series will be available for purchase in India from Aug. 23. Ahead of the launch, MySmartPrice has shared the storage, RAM and color variants of the Note 10 and Note 10+ smartphones for India.

Citing information leaked by popular tipster Ishan Agarwal, the publication has revealed that the base model of the Galaxy Note 10 will feature 256 GB of internal storage. It will be available in colors like Aura Black, Aura Red and Aura Glow. The 512 GB edition of the Note 10 will be only available Aura White.

On the other side, the Galaxy Note 10+ will come with a base model featuring 512 GB of storage. It will come in color choices such as Aura Black and Aura Glow. The 1 TB version of the Note 10+ will be available in three colors such as Aura Black, Aura Glow and Aura White. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ Specifications

The Galaxy Note 10+ and Note 10 are equipped with Dynamic AMOLED display with Infinity-O displays of 6.8 inches and 6.4 inches. There is a small circular cutout at the top-center of the screen for the front-facing camera of 10-megapixel. The Note 10 series are equipped with ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner.

Depending on the market, the Note 10 and Note 10+ phones will feature Snapdragon 855+ chipset or the newly announced 7nm Exynos 9825 chipset. The Note 10 variants may feature only 8 GB of RAM whereas the Note 10+ could be equipped with 12 GB of RAM. It is speculated that the Note 10 may lack a microSD card while the feature will be retained on Note 10+.

The Galaxy Note 10 features a triple camera setup on its rear. It comprises of a 12-megapixel primary lens with f/1.5 – f/2.4 variable aperture, a 16-megapixel superwide lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom support. The Note 10+ will be also featuring the same camera sensors on its rear along with an additional ToF (Time of Flight) lens.

The Galaxy Note 10 has a 3,500mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging and 12W wireless charging. On the other side, the Note 10+ has a bigger 4,300mAh battery that is equipped with 45W rapid charging and20W wireless charging. Both phones carry support for reverse wireless charging. The Note 10 and Note 10+ lack support for 3.5mm headphone jack.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ smartphones in India. A recent report had claimed that the Note 10 and Note 10+ will be hitting the Indian market on Aug. 23. However, that publication that cites information received from an anonymous Samsung official states that the Note 10 series will be made available for purchase across international market including India on Aug. 22. Samsung also has a 5G version of the Note 10+. It won’t be coming to India since the country is not 5G-ready yet.

The Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ will be coming with respective Dynamic OLED Infinity-O displays of 6.4 inches and 6.8-inches. We are just a couple of days away from the official release of the Galaxy Note 10 series. However, just before its release, a sharp-eyed traveler in China seems to have captured the prototype model of the Note 10+ in the video. The video was later shared on China’s Weibo.

In the video, we can see a user playing around with the Note 10+ prototype and its UI. As previously seen in renders and leaks, the phone carries a very high screen to body ratio with the selfie camera placed on the top center of the display. While the screen looks flat in the video, it’s likely because the curves are hidden by the case. Prototype models are usually pretty well covered by cases and that seems to be applicable here as well.

The Galaxy Note 10+ is shaping up to be one of the best screen to body ratio smartphones this year. The phone is said to feature a top and bottom bezel of just 2mm and 3.7mm respectively. Even the side bezels are said to be limited to just 1.5mm bringing you a true full-screen experience.

Samsung‘s Galaxy Note 10 has just been benchmarked for the first time on Geekbench. The device was sported on the benchmark app with a comparison between the Exynos 9820 and Exynos 9825 chipsets onboard. The Exynos 9820 is the SoC onboard the Galaxy S10+while the latter is onboard the Note 10.

The GeekBench listing shows the Note 10 comes with the model number Samsung SM-N970F. The device is also listed to have 8GB of RAM. The Exynos 9825 SoC is expected to be a 7nm chipset whereas the Exynos 9820 isn’t. The Exynos 9825 will utilise Samsung’s 7nm ultraviolet lithography that is perceived to be superior to the TSMC foundry’s aging production method that is reaching the end of its abilities.

As for the benchmark performance, the new Exynos 9825 chipset on board the Galaxy Note 10 is shown to be faster than even the Galaxy S10+ scores on Geekbench. The chipset manages a Single-Core Score of 4495 points and on the multi-core test, it scores 10223 points. Whereas the Galaxy S10+ is listed with a single-core score of 4357 and the multi-core score of 10045 points. This is pretty impressive as this puts the Note 10 in good stead ahead of next year’s Snapdragon 865 release. Both chipsets may likely be produced on the same node.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Note 10 in a couple of months time. There are reports that the release of the Note 10 may be affected by Japan’s change in trade policy with South Korea. Japan was earlier reported to have removed South Korea from a White List of countries that were granted expedited export procedures. The move meant that companies exporting raw materials critical for semiconductor manufacture to South Korea would now have to wait for 90 days before their exports are cleared.

This change in policy has resulted in a hike in the prices of DRAM in Soth Korea. This is despite claims by semiconductor industry officials that stocked inventory for the modules will ensure that real-world consumer impacts from the ban aren’t immediate. The new report of how the embargo affects Samsung says otherwise. The report from the South Korean press hints that Samsung will be affected by a decrease in Exynos 9825 production.

The Galaxy Note 10 is expected to be powered by an Exynos 9825 chipset. According to the official, as reported by Sammobile, “This month, Samsung has cut by 10 percent the target production of the Exynos, a mobile processor that will be used for the Note 10.” The company is expected to shore up production next month but we don’t know how they hope to achieve that. Worst-case scenario, the Galaxy Note 10 may be launched as scheduled but actual sales may be delayed slightly.

As the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 inches towards its official launch date in August, the rumor mill is working overtime to leak the design and specifications of the flagship smartphone. A couple of new renders claiming to be of the Galaxy Note 10 and the Note 10+ have just surfaced, revealing quite a lot about the design of the flagship duo. Also, another leak has revealed the different variants of the Galaxy Note 10 5G. 

The base variant of the Galaxy Note 10 5G gets 256GB of internal storage. The high-end versions of the phablet will come with 512GB and 1TB of native memory. The RAM capacity of the Note 10 5G are expected to vary with the internal storage of the device. 

While the top-of-the-line variant of the Note 10 5G gets 12GB of RAM + 1TB of storage, the lower-spec version with 8GB of RAM is expected to feature 256GB and 512GB of internal storage. Like the Galaxy S10 5G smartphone, the Note 10 5G may not feature a microSD card slot.

Previous reports have revealed that the LTE-only version of the Galaxy Note 10+ will come with 256 GB base model and storage variants up to 1 TB. The LTE-only Note 10 is expected to come with a base model of 128 GB.

The Galaxy Note 10+ gets an additional sensor at the rear, which could be a 3D ToF sensor. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 duo misses out on the 3.5mm audio jack. Hence, the Note 10 series may arrive with  a new pair of USB Type-C wired earphones with noise cancellation feature..

The Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ models are expected to feature Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9825 depending on the market. The predecessor Galaxy Note 9 came with a 4,000mAh battery. Rumors have it that the Note 10 series may feature bigger batteries with support for 25W fast charging, wireless charging and reverse charging.

On Aug. 7, Samsung will be holding its Galaxy Unpacked 2019 event to announce the Galaxy Note 10 series of smartphones. The official renders of the Galaxy Note 10 had appeared on Winfuture.de yesterday. Now, the renders of the Note 10+ have also surfaced to reveal its design.

In terms of appearance, the Galaxy Note 10+ is identical to the Note 10 phone. However, the Plus edition of the smartphone is expected to carry better internals than the Note 10. Recent reports have revealed that the Note 10+ will be featuring a 6.75-inch S-AMOLED display whereas the Note 10 will be housing a 6.3-inch display.

The Note 10+ leaked renders show that it will be available in a Black variant that will tag along a black-colored S Pen. The Silver Prism edition of the phablet will feature a dark-blue colored S Pen. There is a possibility that the Note 10 will be also available in some other colors too. The Silver Prism variant is a color gradient edition that has a mix of colors like white, pink, purple, blue and turquoise.

Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy Note 10 series smartphones next month and ahead of that, the company has trademarked “DepthVision Lens” technology. Similar to most other trademark filings, there are no details provided regarding this tech.

However, given that the application was filed under Class 9 that covers things such as smartphone cameras, 3D scanning, and smartphone camera software, it’s safe to say that the trademark is indeed related to cameras.

The DepthVision Lens technology is now expected to be present on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series’ camera. Since the technology seems related to 3D scanning, it could be a part of the camera setup that will include Time of Flight (ToF) sensors.

Reports indicate that the Galaxy Note could come with ToF sensors and the top-end variant in the lineup is said to have two ToF sensors. Thus, it seems very likely that the DepthVision Lens is the company’s name for the 3D camera function. Also, the company had recently trademarked “Make & Play 3D”, another instance which hints at the ToF sensors related function.

Apart from this, the upcoming next-generation Galaxy Note series phones are expected to come with the three-step variable aperture setting. This is probably to offer better pictures in low-light conditions and better portrait shots. Given the reports and leaks, it seems that the company is focusing more on the Galaxy Note 10’s camera technology. To know for sure, we’ll have to wait for the official announcement.

It is also being said that this time, the company could launch two smartphones under the Note 10 lineup, which includes the standard Galaxy Note 10 with a 6.28-inch display and another Note 10 series phone with a bigger display of 6.75-inch. The company may also be offering 5G variants of both of those phones, bringing the total of Samsung Galaxy Note 10 models to four.

Similar to the Galaxy Note 10 series, the upcoming Galaxy Note 10 models are likely to feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, the devices will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor or the company’s own Exynos 9825 chipset.

A new report on a South Korean publication reveals that the company will be announcing the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Pro on Aug. 10.

In the recent past, renders of the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Pro have appeared to reveal their design. Both smartphones are expected to release in 4G-only and 5G enabled versions. The Galaxy Note 10 series have revealed they won’t be featuring dedicated button for accessing Bixby AI. And also, the Note 10 lineup will be lacking a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Galaxy Note 10 is expected to feature a 6.28-inch AMOLED display that is curved towards its left and right edges. On other side, the Note 10 Pro has a curved 6.75-inch AMOLED screen. Both smartphones are rumored to support quad HD+ resolution. Their speculated model numbers are SM-N975 and SM-N976. Two listing of SM-N976 model have surfaced on Geekbench today to reveal their key specs.

The SM-N976V Galaxy Note 10 5Gis a Verizon model featuring Snapdragon 855 mobile platform. The SoC is mentioned with its “msmnile” codename on the Geekbench listing. The chipset is assisted by 12 GB of RAM. The smartphone boots to Android 9 Pie OS. In the single-core test, the Galaxy Note 10 5G has scored 3,529. In the multi-core test, it has achieved a benchmark score of 10,840.

The SM-N976B is also Galaxy Note 10 5G smartphone aimed towards Boost Mobile in the U.S. This variant is powered by Exynos 9825 chipset and 8 GB of RAM. It comes loaded with Android 9 Pie OS. The smartphone has recorded 3,557 and 9,654 points in the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench.

While the Galaxy Note 10 launch is still months away, information about this upcoming smartphone has now started surfacing online. In the latest leak, it is said that the next-gen Galaxy Note smartphone could ditch physical keys and headphone jack.

So, if the information turns out to be true, then the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will come without a 3.5mm headphone jack as well as there won’t be the Bixby button along with the power button and the volume rocker keys.

While a couple of mid-range smartphones from Samsung doesn’t come with a 3.5mm headphone jack, Samsung is the only major smartphone maker that still sells flagship smartphones with a 3.5mm headphone jack. But it seems that that is about to change.

Instead of the physical buttons, the company could use prominent/raised capacitive or pressure-sensitive areas to act as a sort of fake buttons. It is not yet known if the company is planning to carry these changes over to the Galaxy S11 next year.

As per the reports, Samsung is expected to launch two smartphones under the Galaxy Note 10 lineup with different screen sizes. The phone could come with a 6.28-inch display and another with a 6.75-inch display. However, nothing much is known yet.

While the company is busy making the S10 series available in wider markets, a fresh report that has appeared on a South Korean publication has revealed that the forthcoming Galaxy Note 10 will be arriving with an innovative button-less design.

The report claims that the Galaxy Note 10 may not feature hardware buttons for power, volume and Bixby assistant. Samsung has reportedly developed a technology through which one can turn on or off the device and increase or decrease the volume through pressure-sensitive touch controls. Recently, XDA Developers figured that Galaxy S10 kernel source code carries some information about the Samsung’s next Galaxy flagship device.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10’s code-name is discovered in the source code carrying information about 5G network connectivity. Precisely, the code-name which was revealed by a notable tipster, Ice Universe long time ago is referenced in the defconfig file of the Galaxy S10 running Exynos 9820. The reference can be seen in the commented lines of code where beyond0 refers to the Samsung Galaxy S10e, beyond1 is the Galaxy S10 (uncommented), beyond2 is the Galaxy S10+ and beyondX substitutes the Galaxy S10 5G.
