Samsung kickstarted the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 stable update rollout for most ofl the eligible Galaxy S, Galaxy Note, and Galaxy Z series of premium smartphones before New Year’s Day. Now, the company has started delivering the latest software update for mid-rangers, starting with Galaxy Note10 Lite and Galaxy A72.

According to SamMobile, the stable release of One UI 4.0 based on Android 12 is now available for the Galaxy Note10 Lite and Galaxy A72. As of now, the fresh system update for these handsets is only available in a single region.

If you own any of these two devices and reside in the mentioned region, then head over to Settings > Software update > Download and install to check whether your unit has received the OTA update. Even if it is not available at the moment, it should be out in the coming days.

At the same, the update shall be also rolled out to other regional variants of the aforementioned smartphones very soon. Additionally, we think that the Galaxy A52 could be the next in line for the One UI 4.0 stable upgrade. That’s because it shares so much with the Galaxy A72.

Just a few days into the year, Samsung announced the Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note10 Lite as affordable versions of its 2019 Galaxy S and Galaxy Note flagships. The two phones were also on display at CES 2020 where those who attended were able to get hands-on experience. Samsung is set to launch it in India, and thanks to Flipkart, we now know the exact date.

The Galaxy S10 Lite will be launched on January 23 in India according to a screenshot from the mobile app. There is no mention of the Galaxy Note10 Lite but it should arrive on the same day since the Samsung India website has both phones listed.

Flipkart has a landing page for the Galaxy S10 Lite that lists some of its top features such as its pro-grade camera system. The phone has a 5MP macro camera paired with a 48MP main camera with Super Steady OIS and a 12MP 123° ultrawide angle camera on the rear. Up in front and nestled inside the centered punch-hole is a 32MP sensor.

The Galaxy S10 Lite has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display. There is a Snapdragon 855 processor inside it with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage irrespective of the RAM variant. It packs a 4500mAh battery with support for 25W Super Fast Charging and runs One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 out of the box. There is an in-display fingerprint scanner but there is no audio jack.

The Galaxy Note10 Lite shares some of its specs with the Galaxy S10 Lite such as its screen, RAM and storage variants, battery capacity, and selfie camera. It swaps out the Snapdragon 855 for the older and less-powerful Exynos 9810; it has a 12MP main camera paired with a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP telephoto camera; keeps the audio jack; and of course, has an S Pen.

A few days ago, Samsung announced Lite versions of its two flagship lines. Although the price tags for the Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note10 Lite are yet to be announced, both are definitely affordable versions of the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note10 respectively. And in the case of the Note10 Lite, a less powerful version.

Both phones share a similar design and even some of the same specifications such as screen size, design, and resolution; selfie camera; RAM and storage; and battery capacity.

The Galaxy Note10 Lite’s launch may be closer than we think. Press renders of the stylus-toting phone have surfaced and based on the source, the phone is most likely already shipping to retailers. The images were first published by Winfuture.de and they give us a good look at the device.

The Galaxy Note10 Lite will come in the same Aura Black and Aura Glow colorways as the Galaxy Note10+ but also come in Aura Red like the Galaxy Note10.

Samsung is going with the same center punch-hole OLED display design as the other Note10 siblings but the display is flat this time. However, the back is where the major difference is. The Galaxy Note10 Lite has a squircle camera housing on the left side that is home to three cameras and an LED flash.

The specifications of the Galaxy Note10 Lite are largely unknown. However, a Geekbench result revealed the phone is powered by an Exynos 9810 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and runs Android 10. We do not know if there will be a Snapdragon version of the phone and neither can we say if there will be other RAM variants.

Last week, the phone was certified by the Bluetooth Speical Interest Group (SIG) and the certification revealed the phone will have Bluetooth 5.1 which brings precise location detection with direction-finding. The S Pen will also connect via Bluetooth 5.1 too.

The phone is expected to launch soon and will be available in Germany later with a starting price of around €670 (~$747).

This year, Samsung deviated from its usual tradition when it comes to its flagships. The Galaxy S series got a new affordable variant with the “e” suffix alongside while the Note series was split into a standard version and a “Plus” version. But Samsung isn’t done yet, the world’s number one phone company is set to introduce a Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note10 Lite. Both phones have been in the news for weeks now and their launch is closer with two new certifications.

First is the Galaxy S10 Lite which has been certified by Thailand’s NBTC. The certificate confirms the name of the device again and reveals that the SM-G770F model us the Global Dual SIM version.

The Galaxy S10 Lite is expected to launch this month with a Snapdragon 855 processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It will have a punch-hole display just like the Galaxy Note10 and triple rear cameras with a similar design to the recently announced Galaxy A71.

While the Galaxy S10 Lite was getting certified in Thailand, the Galaxy Note10 was certified by the Blue Special Interest Group (SIG). The phone with model number SM-N770F and description name “Note10 Litre SPEN” will come with Bluetooth 5.1.

The Galaxy Note10 Lite appeared on Geekbench last month. The phone will be powered by the Exynos 9810 processor, have 6GB of RAM and run Android 10 out of the box. It will have a punch-hole AMOLED display, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and an S Pen with Bluetooth.

While the S10 Lite is expected to launch this month (also as the Galaxy A91/A81), the Note10 Lite may not arrive until next year.
