The Galaxy Note FE&#8217;s release has been limited to Samsung&#8217;s home country but report says it could be making its way to Malaysia soon.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-152740" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Galaxy-Note-FE-Malaysia.jpg?x10805" alt="Galaxy Note FE Malaysia" width="580" height="823" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Galaxy-Note-FE-Malaysia.jpg 580w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Galaxy-Note-FE-Malaysia-211x300.jpg 211w" sizes="(max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px" /></p>
<p>Proof of a possible launch is an image that lists the supported 4G LTE devices of Malaysian network operator, YES. Underneath the section that has Samsung devices is the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-note-8/">Galaxy Note8</a> and the Galaxy Note FE with a “NEW” text bubble on both devices indicating that they were just added. It is also important to note that YES only lists devices sold in the country.</p>
<p>Samsung has not yet announced when the launch will be, but it should be around the corner. Prospective buyers may also want to take note of stock being limited seeing as how quickly it went out of stock in its home country.</p>
<p>The main difference between the Galaxy Note FE and the Galaxy Note7 is the battery, since that was what caused it to be recalled in the first place. The 3,500mAh battery has been replaced with a smaller 3,200mAh battery.</p>

<p>There are some other small changes too like the branding on the back, the software, and the new Bixby AI assistant. Asides those, every other thing is the same as that of the Note7. For those that can&#8217;t afford the Galaxy Note8, the Note FE is a more than capable replacement. It does not have the dual cameras of its successor or its Infinity Display but you will be saving a few $100.</p>
<p>The Galaxy Note FE sold for KW 699,600 (~$620) in South Korea. That&#8217;s about MR 2,610. Add import duties and tax and price may be close to MR 3,000.</p>

The latest leak is a short hands-on video which shows a Galaxy Note7 in operation.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-90774" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Galaxy-Note-7-Blue.jpg?x10805" alt="Galaxy Note7" width="840" height="697" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Galaxy-Note-7-Blue.jpg 840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Galaxy-Note-7-Blue-300x249.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Galaxy-Note-7-Blue-768x637.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Galaxy-Note-7-Blue-95x80.jpg 95w" sizes="(max-width: 840px) 100vw, 840px" /></p>
<p>The video (located under this post), comes from the stable of accessory maker Olixer and is actually an exhibition of the testing of a working Galaxy Note7 with three different screen protectors. Even though the video was meant to showcase the accessories, it offers us an opportunity to sample the flagship smartphone giving us a peek at the bezel-less edges and curved edge display the phone sport.</p>

<p>Also, a photo render (pictured above) of the Coral blue color variant the Samsung Galaxy Note7 is said to feature was leaked online by famous leakster Evan Blass @evleaks on Twitter. The image shows the Note7 in all its glory and beautiful color. The press render also reveals the dual curved edges, USB Type-C port, the S-Pen already ejected from its slot, part of the camera sensor which would be used for the iris scanner, a peach-gold type frame, the embedded fingerprint sensor and on the display is the same S-Pen themed background that had featured in lots of recent leaked images.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-90773" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Galaxy-Note-7-press-renders-2.jpg?x10805" alt="Galaxy Note7" width="840" height="1091" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Galaxy-Note-7-press-renders-2.jpg 840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Galaxy-Note-7-press-renders-2-231x300.jpg 231w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Galaxy-Note-7-press-renders-2-768x997.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Galaxy-Note-7-press-renders-2-788x1024.jpg 788w" sizes="(max-width: 840px) 100vw, 840px" /></p>
<p>The Galaxy Note7 brings many innovations like being the first phablet to introduce a dual curved edge display, first to run on Samsung latest TouchWiz Grace UX operating system, and sport an iris scanner. Samsung also skipped the number 6 which is supposed to be the next after the Galaxy Note 5, in order to correct the confusing name anomaly between the Galaxy S series and Note series.</p>

The images were actually posted on Twitter by Tech leaks guru Steve Hemmerstoffer (@stagueve).</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-89433" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/samsung-galaxy-note7-proto-01.jpg?x10805" alt="Samsung Galaxy Note 7 leaked prototype image" width="580" height="772" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/samsung-galaxy-note7-proto-01.jpg 580w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/samsung-galaxy-note7-proto-01-225x300.jpg 225w" sizes="(max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px" /></p>
<p>The leaked photos have been coming out in succession since yesterday and it looks like that of a prototype Galaxy Note 7, with the test unit number embedded at the top.&nbsp; The images can best be described as that of a huge phablet whose display is curved and Samsung&#8217;s trademark Home key button sitting at the bottom.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-89442" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/samsung-galaxy-note7-proto-touchwiz.jpg?x10805" alt="Samsung Galaxy Note 7" width="800" height="450" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/samsung-galaxy-note7-proto-touchwiz.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/samsung-galaxy-note7-proto-touchwiz-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/samsung-galaxy-note7-proto-touchwiz-768x432.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></p>
<p>Even more images of the Galaxy Note 7 prototype surfaced today, showing the device powered on and displaying what should be Samsung&#8217;s TouchWiz UI&#8217;s low battery warning notifications. &nbsp; The display also shows a lot of modules just at the top of the screen which may just confirm that the device might pop with an iris scanner on the right of the earpiece since we know the front facing camera is at the left of the centrally placed earpiece slit. The rest of the modules are likely light and camera sensors but the two openings on the right couldn&#8217;t be anything else but for an iris scanner.</p>
<p id="div-gpt-ad-1468240920114-0">&nbsp;Just as a reminder,&nbsp;the Galaxy Note 7 <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2016/07/04/the-galaxy-note-7-may-feature-a-larger-display-than-we-know/" target="_blank">&nbsp;is touted to sport a Snapdragon 821 or Exynos chipsets</a> depending on the target market, 5.8-inch Quad HD AMOLED screen, 4GB / 6GB of RAM, and the same Dual Pixel camera that is on the Galaxy S7 Edge. The device&#8217;s&nbsp;S Pen stylus would come with new capabilities.&nbsp; The &nbsp;Note 7 will most likely be unveiled August 2, and should start at $800.</p>
