As reported by Tizenhelp(via Sammobile), a Beta Operation Manager has informed the new decision on Samsung’s South Korean community forums. As per the post, the manager says they are working to stabilize the errors since the One UI 3.0 beta update for Galaxy Note 10, Note 10+ rolled out. Further, he mentions that the postponement will last till the stabilization work is done to some extent. Henceforth, we can expect the update cycle to resume for Galaxy S10 models and beyond.

That said, as per the report, the prime issue is the battery drain on the Galaxy Note 10 series devices. Additionally, few other users also faced app crashes. Besides, the report also says Samsung rolled out the One UI 3.0 update for Galaxy Z Flip 5G yesterday. But quickly pulled it back and now the community page shows the UI update for the device as ‘coming soon’. This is probably to avoid the above issues extending to other devices.

Samsung confirmed the OneUI 3.0 based on Android 11 back at the event on August 5. The beta program began after the initial developer build. And was already on course with Beta Program and a vision to bring it close to 90 devices. Anyway, the public final version will reportedly roll out before 2020 ends. We hope that Samsung finds a fix soon so that it can continue the earlier pace and stick to the plan.

In the latest development, Evan Blass has shared a real image of the upcoming Galaxy S10 “Beyond 1” smartphone. The phone’s design is in line with the previous leaks, which suggested a full-screen Infinity-O display having a ‘punch-hole’ for the front-facing camera in the top-right corner.

The Infinity-O display ensures a higher screen-to-body ratio. There are minimal bezels on the sides as well as on the top but the bottom bezel or chin is quite thick. Unfortunately, the image of the phone’s back panel was not shared.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, S10, and S10 Plus will come with 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display respectively, with a higher screen-t0-body ratio. Depending on the market, the Galaxy S10 series will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9820. The phones will be running Android Pie-based Samsung One UI on top.

The S10 Lite will have dual rear cameras while the other models will be equipped with triple camera sensors on the back. The S10 and S10 Plus are expected to come equipped with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.

The South Korean giant had reportedly started production of this upcoming smartphone series last month which is quite early given that the production of the Galaxy S-series smartphones usually begins in January. The reason behind starting the phone’s production a month earlier could be the phone’s new form factor as well as the new features that the company is reportedly going to offer.

For the initiated, Samsung will be launching three models in the upcoming Galaxy S-series — Galaxy S10, S10 Plus, and S10 Lite as well as a fourth variant with ceramic body and 5G connectivity support. The Samsung ‘Unpacked’ launch will reportedly take place on 20th February in Barcelona, a week before the commencement of MWC 2019.

As is regular with the Galaxy S series, the Korean company is said to be planning once again to release the Galaxy S10 in two models – the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus. If news from the South Korean supply chain is anything to go by, the device would sport an innovative ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.

You would agree that the in-display technology is not a new thing in the smartphone market as some Chinese models such as the Vivo NEX, Mi 8 Explorer Edition and Huawei Mate RS already feature the in-display fingerprint technology. The technology is yet to catch up with so many OEMs as several new models like the latest OPPO Find X didn’t adopt it. But the rumour says Samsung is working on a faster, more reliable ultrasonic in-display fingerprint recognition solution which would differentiate the sensor in the Galaxy S10 flagship series which is different from the one on the models we know of. It is said that this ultra-advanced biometric sensor is not going to be manufactured by Goodix and Synaptics which is known to be the manufacturer of the optical-based component used by Vivo, Xiaomi, and Huawei. Samsung biometric sensor is most likely to be produced by Taiwan’s General Interface Solution (GIS).

Read Also: Samsung will unveil its Smart Speaker called Magbee at IFA 2018

It has been speculated before now that the Galaxy S10 flagship series would house three different smartphones and from all indication, the 6.1 and 6.4-inch or so AMOLED screens models would be embedded with the ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensors. while the low-end 5.8-inch model would come with the normal rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Industry sources also point out that, the high-end device in the S10 series – 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch models would have more units produced with about 34-36 million units out of the estimated 40 million units to be produced. The trimmed down model will get just 4 million units.
