As reported by Tizenhelp, the Samsung support team has reportedly said that Samsung Galaxy S20 will get the stable version of One UI 3.0 based on Android 11 tomorrow i.e December 3. Accordingly, a screenshot shared by the report shows an alleged reply of a Samsung representative to a Korean user.

It says(Google Translated) that the schedule is on December 3 but information regarding this will appear on Samsung Members App. For the unware, Samsung is currently running a Beta program for the One UI 3.0. To try out the features, users will have to signup for it on the above-mentioned app under ‘One UI‘ banner. Coming back, the reply also includes a disclaimer that the update schedule may change even after the rollout. That is, it might get suspended if a bug is encountered.

This is understandable considering its Beta program hasn’t been that smooth, to say the least. After testing the One UI 3.0 Beta with developers, Samsung kicked off the program for users of Galaxy S20 and followed it up with various flagships including the yesteryear Galaxy S10. Although the company was right on track, it encountered issues like battery drain, lock-screen bug.

However, after overcoming the issues, it has reportedly stopped Beta updates for S20, and Note 20 series already in South Korea. This further strengthens that stable update isn’t that far away. That said, as the report states, the reply is for a community member in South Korea.

This suggests that just like every OTA update, Samsung could initially release it in South Korea before expanding to other regions. Let’s wait and see if this turns out true tomorrow.

As reported by Sammobile, the update for Galaxy S20 is heading to regions where the beta program is already live. Hence, you may find the firmware version, and update the number as slightly different based on where you live. The firmware version of the latest One UI 3.0 beta in the report is G98xxKSU1ZTK7 and it’s a 3rd beta update for the UK. As mentioned earlier, the update brings bug fixes like Notification bar, DeX, biometrics, and more.

Additionally, with this update, Samsung has also updated One UI Home, Internet browser. You can take a look at the entire changelog of bugs that have been fixed as follows:

The recipient can hear the Interlocutor in Voice and Video calls.

While scrolling down the Notification bar, Background doesn’t blur out.

While performing “Capture->Edit” right after connecting DeX top and bottom areas cut.

When trying to unlocking the device using biometrics, it fails, the lock screen locks and the lock button doesn’t work after that.

When opening “Customize my Files home”menu, an error occurs.

While using YouTube Music, Safe Mode turns on, device becomes sluggish and reboots.

Updates to One UI Home, Samsung Internet.

Other Minor error Fixes.

Samsung confirmed the OneUI 3.0 based on Android 11 back at the event on August 5. The beta program began after the initial developer build and is now covered to almost all the countries as promised earlier. The public final version will reportedly roll out before 2020 ends.

If you are already in One UI 3.0 beta, you can check if the latest FOTA update has arrived for you. Navigate to Settings->Software Update->Download and Install to update the UI.

As reported by XDADevelopers, the new Update for Galaxy M21 also includes the latest October 2020 Android Security Patch. As you can see from the screenshots below, the firmware versions are M215FXXU2ATJ5/M215FODM2ATJ5/M215FDDU2ATJ5. It weighs 650MB and carries improvements to the Camera, Keyboard, and Messages.

From the screenshots, we can note that the Samsung Keyboard brings several features like input-language Search Function, split keyboard on Landscape Mode. Further, the Messages section now gets an SOS message feature. It allows users to share SOS-location every 30 minutes for a day. Additionally, the update also has Camera improvements and stability. But we aren’t sure if that will impact performance just yet.

Samsung unveiled the One UI 2.5 based on Android 10 with Galaxy Note 20 series. Initially, we thought the update will roll out only to its Galaxy Note, S, and Z series of devices. However, the company surprised us by rolling it out to mid-range smartphones like Galaxy A51, and A71.

That said, the new One UI 2.5 update for Galaxy M21 is a surprising move considering its higher-priced siblings like Galaxy M51 themselves launched with One UI Core 2.1. And are yet to get the next version. Earlier, the company rolled out the One UI 2.1 update last month with features like Single Take, Night Hyperlapse, My Filters, and more.

Anyway, the official changelog says the update started seeding out on November 3(yesterday). Hence, it might take a few days to reach everyone via an OTA update. Meanwhile, you can check if your device has got it by visiting the System Update section in Settings.
