Recently, it enabled <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/25/samsung-galaxy-s20-fe-5g-gets-galaxy-s21-camera-features-via-update/">flagship camera features</a> for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G and other older devices. Now, it is bringing more improvements to the entire <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung-galaxy-s21">Samsung Galaxy S21 series</a>.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-365204 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Galaxy-S21-Series-1.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="3264" height="1610" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Galaxy-S21-Series-1.jpg 3264w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Galaxy-S21-Series-1-300x148.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Galaxy-S21-Series-1-768x379.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Galaxy-S21-Series-1-1024x505.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Galaxy-S21-Series-1-324x160.jpg 324w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Galaxy-S21-Series-1-696x343.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Galaxy-S21-Series-1-1068x527.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Galaxy-S21-Series-1-851x420.jpg 851w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Galaxy-S21-Series-1-1920x947.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 3264px) 100vw, 3264px" /></p>
<p>In a new update that is rolling out to users of India with firmware version <strong>G99xxXXU2AUC8</strong>, Samsung is bringing camera improvements to the Galaxy S21 series of devices- <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s21">Galaxy S21</a>, <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s21-plus">Galaxy S21+</a>, and <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s21-ultra">Galaxy S21 Ultra</a>. The update weighs over 1GB and it also has performance improvements for the devices.</p>
<p>Notably, the company seems to have finally allowed users to capture portrait shots via the regular lens. <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung">Samsung</a> had introduced new camera features like Director&#8217;s View, Low-light portraits during the Galaxy S21 launch. However, it had allowed only ultrawide/telephoto lens to capture portraits so far.</p>
<p>With the new update, users can click portrait photos via the regular sensor as <a href="https://www.sammobile.com/news/galaxy-s21-update-camera-improvements-april-2021-security-patch/">reported</a> by Sammobile. Anyway, along with this, the update also brings the latest April 2021 security patch to the entire Galaxy S21 series.</p>
<p>We can expect the update to expand to other regions as well. That said, if you are living in India, you can try out the new feature by updating the device to the latest firmware. To do that you can navigate to  <i>Settings &gt; Software update &gt; Download and install. </i></p>
<p>Apart from improving the features, Samsung has also been updating its older devices to the latest <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/one-ui-3.1">One UI 3.1</a> based on Android 11. The company did bring a lot of improvements like the revamped UI, Private Share, GPS location data removal on Images, more Lock screen widgets, improved stock apps &amp; more.</p>
<p>So far, it has updated the majority of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/25/samsung-galaxy-a70s-a90-5g-android-11-one-ui-3-1-update/">Galaxy A</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/02/18/samsung-rolls-out-one-ui-3-1-update-for-galaxy-s20-note-20-z-fold2-more/">Galaxy S &amp; Note series</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/10/376329-samsung-galaxy-m31s-android-11-update-one-ui-3-1-india/">Galaxy M</a>, and even the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/11/376643-samsung-galaxy-tab-s6-lite-android-11-one-ui-3-1-update/">Galaxy Tab S</a> series of devices.</p>
