<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a> may be stepping back from the ultra-thin smartphone trend sooner than expected. According to recent reports, the company has halted development of a follow-up to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-edge/">Galaxy S25 Edge</a>. The reason is said to be weak sales and limited consumer interest in the ultra-thin design.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1000" height="562" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-Galaxy-S25-Edge-Slim-Hardware-Engineering-Break-Boundaries_main2.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-689363" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-Galaxy-S25-Edge-Slim-Hardware-Engineering-Break-Boundaries_main2.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-Galaxy-S25-Edge-Slim-Hardware-Engineering-Break-Boundaries_main2-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-Galaxy-S25-Edge-Slim-Hardware-Engineering-Break-Boundaries_main2-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-Galaxy-S25-Edge-Slim-Hardware-Engineering-Break-Boundaries_main2-696x391.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-Galaxy-S25-Edge-Slim-Hardware-Engineering-Break-Boundaries_main2-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>

<p>Earlier rumors suggested Samsung was considering replacing the Galaxy S26+ with a refreshed Edge model in 2026. Those plans later shifted to a more cautious wait-and-see approach. Now, sources indicate the project has been scrapped altogether.</p>

<p>The Galaxy S25 Edge focused heavily on achieving an ultra-slim profile. That design choice came with major trade-offs. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/21/iphone-air-outlasts-galaxy-s25-edge-despite-having-much-smaller-battery/">Battery life</a> from the 3,900mAh unit drew criticism for falling short in day-to-day use.</p>

<p>Another compromise of the slim design is camera versatility. The S25 Edge lacks a telephoto lens, while the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-air/">iPhone Air</a> only manages to pack a single rear sensor. Taken together, additional lenses, full-day battery life, and better heat dissipation appear to matter more to buyers than an ultra-slim and lightweight design.</p>

<p>According to a report from October, Apple <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/19/iphone-air-sales-disappoint-scales-production/">scaled back</a> production of the iPhone Air by one million units. With no strong push from its main rival, Samsung may see little reason to invest further in a niche category with limited demand.</p>

<p>While a larger battery was said to be under consideration for a next-generation Edge model, it remains unclear whether that would have been enough to offer full-day battery life and change buyer sentiment. For now, Samsung is expected to focus on more balanced flagship designs.</p>

<p>The situation points to a broader industry shift. While ultra-thin phones attract attention, consumers continue to prioritize battery life, performance, and overall usability. If current trends hold, 2026 could mark a pause—or an end—to the ultra-thin flagship experiment for both Samsung and Apple.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a> has reportedly canceled its slim and trim Edge series after releasing just one device in the lineup. The company announced the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-edge/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S25 Edge </a>in May this year and was, in fact, working on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/galaxy-s26-edge/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">S26 Edge</a> for launch next year.</p>

<p>However, Samsung has now scrapped the idea of slim phones in its flagship Galaxy lineup, according to a report from South Korea’s <em>NewsPim</em>. The news was later corroborated by several industry tipsters and media outlets independently.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1024x553.png?x44794" alt="Galaxy S25 Edge" class="wp-image-698664" width="676" height="365" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1024x553.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-300x162.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-768x415.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1536x829.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-696x376.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1068x577.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-778x420.png 778w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge.png 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 676px) 100vw, 676px" /><figcaption>Galaxy S25 Edge</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Low sales of the S25 Edge appear to be the main reason behind the discontinuation of the Edge series. Reportedly, the phone sold only 190,000 units in its first month after launch. During the same period, the S25 sold 1.17 million units, the S25 Plus sold 840,000, and the S25 Ultra reached 2.55 million units.</p>

<p>As of August, cumulative sales of the Edge stood at 1.31 million units, compared to 8.28 million for the S25, 5.05 million for the Plus, and 12.18 million for the Ultra.</p>

<h2><strong>S26 Edge might see the light of day</strong></h2>

<p>Interestingly, there had been internal discussions at one point within Samsung about<a href="https://www.google.com/search?q=galaxy+s26+plus+scarpped+gizmochina&amp;oq=galaxy+s26+plus+scarpped+gizmochina&amp;gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIMCAEQIxgnGIAEGIoFMgYIAhBFGEAyBwgDEAAYgAQyDAgEEAAYFBiHAhiABDIMCAUQABgUGIcCGIAEMgcIBhAAGIAEMgcIBxAAGIAE0gEINDgxOWowajSoAgCwAgE&amp;client=ubuntu-chr&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> not renewing the Galaxy S26 Plus </a>and instead replacing it with the S25 Edge. Samsung has reportedly now <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/02/samsung-is-bringing-back-the-plus-model-for-the-galaxy-s26-after-the-s25-edge-fell-flat/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">resumed development of the S26 Plus</a>, but, ironically, has decided to discontinue the Edge entirely.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-1-1024x768.jpg?x44794" alt="" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge render</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>That said, there’s still some hope that Samsung might eventually launch the Galaxy S26 Edge, as reports suggest the company has already completed much of its development. The device might get a separate release in the future. In fact, high-quality <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/06/galaxy-s26-edge-renders-reaffirm-striking-design-shift/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">renders of the phone</a> leaked back in September, showing a camera module design spanning the width of the rear panel.</p>

<p>So, Samsung seems to have been quite far along in the development process, meaning it’s still possible that the S26 Edge could materialize despite everything.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a>’s Galaxy S26 series is set to launch next January, but early leaks are already giving us a clearer idea of what the lineup could look like. This time it’s not CAD renders or early prototypes with experimental designs—it’s accessories. Protective cases and glass films have surfaced, and they strongly suggest Samsung isn’t sticking to the S25’s design language.</p>

<p>The S26 family is expected to arrive in three versions: the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/12/galaxy-s26-pros-pro-status-questioned-in-new-leak/">S26 Pro</a>, the S26 Ultra, and the S26 Edge (possibly marketed as the S26 Air). Renders shared earlier in the year suggested that the Pro and Ultra would carry forward Samsung’s familiar clean design with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/11/galaxy-s26-pro-renders-reveal-design-element-borrowed-from-samsungs-foldables/">separate camera lenses</a> housed <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/06/galaxy-s26-ultra-with-more-rounded-corners-shifting-away-from-the-ultra/">within a pill-shaped island</a>, while the Edge would take a more experimental route. The new accessories back that up.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/G0xaxOIXIAElv2W-1024x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-706777" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/G0xaxOIXIAElv2W-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/G0xaxOIXIAElv2W-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/G0xaxOIXIAElv2W-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/G0xaxOIXIAElv2W-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/G0xaxOIXIAElv2W-1536x1536.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/G0xaxOIXIAElv2W-696x696.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/G0xaxOIXIAElv2W-1068x1068.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/G0xaxOIXIAElv2W-420x420.jpg 420w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/G0xaxOIXIAElv2W.jpg 1876w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Images of camera protective films posted by leaker Ice Universe show the S26 Edge with a &#8220;camera bar&#8221; stretching right across the back—something Samsung hasn’t done before in the Galaxy S line. In contrast, the Pro and Ultra stick with more conventional modules. Case leaks add another wrinkle: the Edge model is shown with built-in magnetic rings, which makes alignment of wireless charging coils inside the phone and accessories much easier.</p>

<p>It suggests Samsung is finally adding support for magnetic accessories, a move that would mirror Google’s recent Pixel 10 approach. That said, it will be interesting to see whether the Ultra, with its built-in S Pen, will also support the feature.</p>

<p>Hopes for other upgrades, such as faster charging and an improved 3x telephoto, were recently <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/12/no-60w-charging-for-galaxy-s26-ultra-certification-confirms/">dashed</a> by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/12/no-60w-charging-for-galaxy-s26-ultra-certification-confirms/">certification listings</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/11/galaxy-s26-ultras-3x-telephoto-camera-may-face-a-downgrade-leak-claims/">leaks</a>. Even so, the appearance of these accessories suggests Samsung has finalized the basics of the design, even if branding details remain under wraps.</p>

<p>If accurate, Samsung is preparing a more diverse Galaxy S26 lineup than usual. A bold Edge variant could appeal to those who want something different, while the Pro and Ultra keep the formula familiar.</p>

According to a report from FN News, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/03/samsung-exynos-2600-2nm-mass-production/">Exynos 2600</a> has wrapped up development and is scheduled to enter mass production by the end of September 2025.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/s26-pro-render-3-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-706441" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/s26-pro-render-3-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/s26-pro-render-3-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/s26-pro-render-3-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/s26-pro-render-3-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/s26-pro-render-3-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/s26-pro-render-3-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/s26-pro-render-3.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Galaxy S26 Pro CAD render</figcaption></figure>

<p>The Galaxy S26 lineup—likely consisting of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/15/galaxy-s26-series-accessories-leak-points-to-varied-camera-layouts/">S26 Pro, S26 Edge, and S26 Ultra</a>—is tipped to use a split-chip strategy. The Pro and Edge are expected to run on Samsung’s new 2nm silicon, while the Ultra will stick with TSMC’s 3nm-based <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/11/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-5-surfaces-with-record-breaking-antutu-scores/">Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5</a>. Region-based variations may still apply, but the Exynos 2600 seems ready for prime time across more markets than before.</p>

<p>Built on Samsung Foundry’s 2nm process, the chip is said to deliver big efficiency and thermal improvements over the Exynos 2500. A key feature is Heat Pass Block (HPB) technology, designed to keep temperatures in check during sustained performance. Early benchmark listings suggest it <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/12/snapdragon-8-elite-2-geekbench-galaxy-s26-edge-news/">goes head-to-head</a> with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/15/a19-pro-benchmarks-suggest-apple-still-has-edge-over-snapdragon-8-elite-gen-5/">Apple’s A19 Pro</a> in both single-core and multi-core scores—an area where Exynos has often struggled.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="960" height="720" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/samsung-exynos-2600.jpg?x44794" alt="Exynos 2600" class="wp-image-697005" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/samsung-exynos-2600.jpg 960w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/samsung-exynos-2600-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/samsung-exynos-2600-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/samsung-exynos-2600-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/samsung-exynos-2600-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/samsung-exynos-2600-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/samsung-exynos-2600-265x198.jpg 265w" sizes="(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px" /><figcaption>Exynos 2600 </figcaption></figure>

<p>For Samsung, pulling off 2nm production is about more than just phones. Success here could help the company rebuild confidence in its foundry business, which has faced setbacks in recent years.</p>

<p>If these early claims hold true, the Exynos 2600 could finally give Samsung’s own chips a stronger reputation and make the Galaxy S26 series a more competitive alternative worldwide. With the launch window pointing to early 2026, all eyes will be on whether the new Exynos can live up to the hype.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a>’s Galaxy S26 series is still months away, but the first leaks are already sparking debate among fans. While most expect charging speeds to improve, a new report claims the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge will stick with the same limitations as their predecessors.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="690" height="452" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/006bWoNYly1i535qfypecj32bc334e811.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-706421" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/006bWoNYly1i535qfypecj32bc334e811.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/006bWoNYly1i535qfypecj32bc334e811-300x197.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/006bWoNYly1i535qfypecj32bc334e811-641x420.jpg 641w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></figure></div>

<p>The information comes from Ice Universe, a tipster with a solid track record, who posted on X that both the S26 Pro and Edge will once again be limited to 25 W wired charging. That figure hasn’t changed in years, despite a steady increase in battery capacities across its lineup.</p>

<p>According to previous leaks, the Galaxy S26 Pro will feature a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/31/both-galaxy-s26-pro-and-s26-edge-to-boast-bigger-batteries-unlike-s26-ultra/">4,300 mAh</a> battery, up from 4,000 mAh on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25/">S25</a>. The S26 Edge is tipped to include a 4,200 mAh cell, up from 3,900 mAh on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-edge/">S25 Edge</a>. These larger capacities may extend runtime, but they also mean longer downtime, since charging speeds remain unchanged.</p>

<p>With much of the Galaxy S26 Pro’s design reportedly unchanged from last year, an upgraded heat dissipation system also seems unlikely. This suggests the phone won’t be able to draw more power from the 25W adapter than the S25, as doing so would raise battery temperatures to unsafe levels.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="463" height="609" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Screenshot-2025-09-12-003422.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-706422" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Screenshot-2025-09-12-003422.png 463w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Screenshot-2025-09-12-003422-228x300.png 228w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Screenshot-2025-09-12-003422-319x420.png 319w" sizes="(max-width: 463px) 100vw, 463px" /></figure></div>

<p>Apple’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/09/apple-iphone-17-launched-specs-price/">iPhone 17</a> series reportedly supports 40 W wired charging, and even the lighter iPhone Air model is said to offer 27 W. Chinese competitors, meanwhile, often push speeds well <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/02/oneplus-15-tuv-certified/">beyond 100 W</a>. In this context, Samsung’s decision to hold back on faster charging feels conservative.</p>

<p>Interestingly, the Galaxy S26 Ultra <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/09/heres-how-fast-s26-ultra-charges-with-its-upgraded-60w-brick/">may break away from this pattern</a>. The flagship model is rumored to jump from 45 W to 60 W charging, creating a sharper gap between the Ultra and the other models.</p>

<p>If the leak proves accurate, Samsung seems to be prioritizing battery size and longevity over raw charging speed. That might appeal to some users, but others will see it as a missed opportunity—especially when rivals continue to push the limits. The real test will come in January 2026, when the S26 series is expected to make its debut.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a>’s next flagship, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/30/galaxy-s26-edges-3c-certification-reveals-something-disappointing/">Galaxy S26 Edge</a>, is back in the spotlight thanks to a fresh batch of leaked renders. Shared by reliable leaker OnLeaks in partnership with Android Headlines, the images suggest Samsung is preparing one of its biggest design changes in years.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-1-1024x768.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-705468" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-1-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-1-1068x801.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-1-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-1-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-1-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-1.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The renders show the S26 Edge with a wide camera island stretching across the back, holding the dual rear cameras and an LED flash on the far left. It’s a sharp departure from Samsung’s usual minimalist approach, and it happens to look somewhat similar to Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Pro models. Phone skin maker dbrand has already teased those designs ahead of Apple’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/27/apple-confirms-iphone-17-event-for-september-9th/">September 9 event</a>, adding weight to the comparison.</p>

<p>From the front, the S26 Edge keeps things clean with slim, uniform bezels and a centered punch-hole selfie camera. The sides are rounded off more than the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-edge/">S25 Edge</a>, with curves at the rear for a softer feel in the hand. Interestingly, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/05/galaxy-s26-ultra-with-more-rounded-corners-shifting-away-from-the-ultra/">renders of the Ultra model</a> show a similar redesign. Buttons stay on the right, so the layout should still feel familiar to existing Samsung users.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-3-1024x768.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-705469" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-3-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-3-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-3-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-3-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-3-1068x801.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-3-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-3-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-3-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/galaxy-s26-edge-render-leak-3.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>These renders aren’t final, but they match <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/04/galaxy-s26-design-leaks-through-dummy-units-ahead-of-launch/">dummy units</a> that have been circulating recently, lending the leak some extra credibility. What’s less clear is why Samsung needs the additional space inside. The Galaxy S25 Edge’s 200MP ISOCELL HP2 comes in at 1/1.3”, while the ISOCELL HP3 is even smaller. Even with an upgraded 50MP ultrawide sensor, as previously rumored, the module would still be much smaller than the main camera and wouldn’t normally require such a large protrusion.</p>

<p>If the renders prove accurate, the S26 Edge could mark a shift in Samsung’s design identity—one that leans closer to Apple’s new style and sets up a fresh round of comparisons between the two tech giants.</p>

<p>The first look at <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a>’s upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/30/galaxy-s26-pro-edge-and-ultra-thickness-revealed-all-slimmer-than-their-predecessors/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S26 series </a>may have just leaked, and it&#8217;s becoming a conversation starter. Reliable tipster <em>Sonny Dickson</em> shared an image of the dummy units that reportedly show the upcoming models.</p>

<p>The largest of the three is easy to identify as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s26-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S26 Ultra</a>. The other two are less clear, but the one on the left appears to be the standard Galaxy S26 (or the Galaxy S26 Pro, as rumors say), while the middle model could be the Galaxy S26 Edge.</p>

<h2><strong>S26 Edge could have a design similar to iPhone 17 Air</strong></h2>

<p>As you can tell, design-wise, the most noticeable change is on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/30/galaxy-s26-edges-3c-certification-reveals-something-disappointing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">S26 Edge</a>. Instead of Samsung’s usual separate camera lenses, the device has a horizontal camera bar that spans across the back of the phone. Interestingly, that’s a look Apple is rumored to be adopting for the iPhone 17 Air and Pro.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="832" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-series-dummy.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-705252" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-series-dummy.jpg 832w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-series-dummy-300x216.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-series-dummy-768x554.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-series-dummy-696x502.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-series-dummy-582x420.jpg 582w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-series-dummy-324x235.jpg 324w" sizes="(max-width: 832px) 100vw, 832px" /></figure></div>

<p>The lenses themselves are still arranged in a vertical stack, alongside an LED flash in the same spot as before. According to leaker <em><a href="https://x.com/UniverseIce/status/1963582847249211631" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ice Universe</a></em>, the camera bar could house internal components, which in turn will make room for a larger 4,200mAh battery (up from 3,900mAh) and allow Samsung to slim the thickness down from 5.8mm to 5.5mm.</p>

<p>All three dummy units also show slightly squared-off edges on the corners and a circular indentation on the back. That indentation could be a hint for upcoming Qi2 wireless charging support with magnetic alignment. Google already brought the feature to the Pixel 10 lineup, so it looks like Samsung may be preparing to follow suit.</p>

<p>The Galaxy S26 lineup isn’t expected to arrive until early next year, which means Samsung still has time to tweak the design. So for now, it’s best to treat these details with a dose of caution.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a>’s next flagship, the Galaxy S26 Edge, is starting to take shape ahead of its expected January 2026 launch. A new certification confirms the phone will get a welcome battery bump, but its ultra-slim design ambitions may not go as far as early rumors suggested.</p>

<h2>Bigger battery confirmed</h2>

<p>According to a listing spotted on China’s 3C database, the Galaxy S26 Edge (model SM-S947) will pack a 4,200mAh battery. The unit, filed under the code EB-BS947ABY, has a rated capacity of 4,078mAh. That’s a modest step up from the 3,900mAh cell inside the Galaxy S25 Edge, which launched earlier this year for around $1,000.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="151" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/s26-edge-3c-1024x151.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-704335" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/s26-edge-3c-1024x151.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/s26-edge-3c-300x44.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/s26-edge-3c-768x113.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/s26-edge-3c-696x103.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/s26-edge-3c-1068x158.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/s26-edge-3c.png 1532w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The upgrade could help address one of the S25 Edge’s biggest criticisms — endurance. The S25 Edge delivered only average screen-on time. A larger battery could give the S26 Edge an advantage over Apple’s rumored iPhone 17 Air, which is expected to carry a capacity as low as 2,900mAh. Apple is also rumored to be working on AI-powered resource management to stretch battery life, but raw capacity will still play a big role.</p>

<h2>No silicon-carbon breakthrough</h2>

<p>Early speculation suggested Samsung might adopt silicon-carbon battery tech, which could have allowed for a thinner <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/30/galaxy-s26-pro-edge-and-ultra-thickness-revealed-all-slimmer-than-their-predecessors/">5.5mm profile</a> while increasing capacity. However, the 3C certification makes it clear the S26 Edge is sticking with traditional lithium-ion. That likely means the phone will remain close to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-edge/">S25 Edge</a>’s 5.8mm thickness rather than rivaling Apple’s rumored 5.65mm design.</p>

<p>The shift also implies a potential weight increase compared to its predecessor, unless Samsung offsets it with lighter materials or other design tweaks.</p>

<p>With this certification now in place, the S26 Edge’s battery capacity and chemistry are essentially confirmed. While the upgrade should improve runtime, the lack of next-gen battery tech signals that Samsung’s “beyond slim, beyond light” vision won’t advance much further this generation.</p>

<p>According to a report, the Galaxy S26 Pro, S26 Edge, and S26 Ultra are all getting noticeable reductions in thickness compared to this year’s S25 models. The S26 Pro, which replaces the base model, reportedly comes in at just 6.7mm thick (down from 7.2mm). The S26 Edge could slim down even further to 5.5mm, compared to the S25 Edge’s 5.8mm. Despite that, it’s said to pack a larger 4,200mAh battery — a bump from 3,900mAh.</p>

<p>The S26 Ultra, meanwhile, is tipped to measure 7.8mm, compared to 8.2mm on the S25 Ultra. That reduction is more modest, as the Ultra still <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/28/galaxy-s26-ultras-magsafe-like-charging-could-mean-more-compromises-on-existing-features-than-convenience/">houses the S Pen</a>, which limits how thin the design can get unless Samsung rethinks the stylus entirely.</p>

<p>These figures are based on internal prototypes, so the final numbers could shift slightly before launch. Still, Samsung seems to be positioning the lineup against rivals like Apple’s rumored <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/05/could-iphone-17-air-kick-off-new-trend/">iPhone 17 Air</a>, which may come in at just 5.5mm.</p>

<p>Alongside slimmer builds, Samsung is keeping headline specs like a 200MP camera and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/09/heres-how-fast-s26-ultra-charges-with-its-upgraded-60w-brick/">upgraded charging</a> on the Ultra. The Galaxy S26 family is slated for a January 2026 launch, with prices expected to mirror this year’s lineup — $799 for the Pro, $1,099 for the Edge, and $1,299 for the Ultra. Still, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/25/galaxy-s25-ultra-costs-more-to-make-than-s24-ultra-and-s23-ultra-even-with-lower-camera-and-display-costs/">a bump wouldn’t be out of the question</a>, given Samsung’s history, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/30/galaxy-s26-pro-seemingly-confirmed-by-gsma-database/">new ‘Pro’ branding</a>, and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/28/galaxy-s26-ultra-could-finally-offer-a-revamped-zoom-setup-hints-new-camera-island-leak/">rumored redesign</a>.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a> is working on the successor to the 5.8mm <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-edge/">Galaxy S25 Edge</a>, and the news is that it will be even slimmer than its predecessor. Plus, it includes a bigger battery. Unlike the S25 Edge, its successor will launch alongside the alleged standard &#8220;<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/31/galaxy-s26-pro-seemingly-confirmed-by-gsma-database/">Galaxy S26 Pro</a>&#8221; and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/26/this-could-be-our-first-look-at-the-galaxy-s26-ultra/">S26 Ultra</a>, replacing the Plus model.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="553" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1024x553.png?x44794" alt="Galaxy S25 Edge" class="wp-image-698664" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1024x553.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-300x162.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-768x415.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1536x829.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-696x376.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1068x577.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-778x420.png 778w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge.png 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The latest news comes from reliable tipster Ice Universe, according to whom the Galaxy S26 Edge measures just 5.5mm in thickness. He claims the battery capacity is 4,200mAh. Notably, battery capacity is an area where we&#8217;ve already seen some contradictory leaks.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="467" height="152" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Screenshot-2025-08-07-223602.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-700643" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Screenshot-2025-08-07-223602.png 467w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Screenshot-2025-08-07-223602-300x98.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 467px) 100vw, 467px" /></figure></div>

<p>According to a recent one from Weibo tipster Setsuna Digital, the S26 Edge packs a 4,400mAh battery—same as the Galaxy Z Fold 7. This is both impressive and questionable, as the Fold 7 achieves that capacity using two separate battery units under a much larger form factor, which the upcoming Edge model doesn’t have. Also, Samsung isn’t expected to shift to silicon-carbon battery tech anytime soon, as it&#8217;s reportedly focusing on a new and revolutionary solid-state battery technology—none of which is expected to make it to the S26 Edge.</p>

<p>So, will it be a slightly smaller 4,200mAh battery pack inside the S26 Edge? A 300mAh boost within a 0.3mm slimmer body is still impressive. That said, it will be interesting to see how Samsung makes up for the 4,900mAh capacity of the S25 Plus, which it&#8217;s going to replace.</p>

<p>While none of the information above is official, more leaks and rumors are likely to emerge as we inch closer to the launch—offering a clearer idea of what to expect. So stick around.</p>

<h2>Samsung is replacing the &#8216;Plus&#8217; model with the &#8216;Edge&#8217;</h2>

<p>A report from ETNews claims Samsung will drop the ‘Plus’ model from its 2026 Galaxy S26 series, replacing it with the Galaxy S26 Edge. The lineup will reportedly include three models: the Galaxy S26 (possibly with a &#8216;Pro&#8217; branding), the Galaxy S26 Edge, and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/26/this-could-be-our-first-look-at-the-galaxy-s26-ultra/">Galaxy S26 Ultra</a>.</p>

<p>The shift appears to be driven by declining demand for the Plus model, which reportedly accounted for only 22% of Galaxy S25 series pre-orders in South Korea. In comparison, the standard S25 made up 52%, while the Ultra accounted for 26%.</p>

<p>Samsung has reportedly informed suppliers to prepare for mass production of the new Edge variant, and confirmed internally that the S26+ is being discontinued. This move also comes amid similar changes on the horizon from Apple, which is rumored to be replacing its iPhone Plus model with a thinner “iPhone 17 Air” in 2025.</p>

<p>The S26 Edge is expected to sit between the base and Ultra models, offering a sleek design. Leaks suggest it will feature a 6.7-inch display and run on either Samsung’s upcoming 2nm Exynos 2600 or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 chipset, depending on the region.</p>

<p>Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 lineup in early 2026, likely during its usual January Unpacked event. By focusing on slimmer, more distinct devices, the company seems to be reshaping its flagship strategy to better appeal to changing consumer tastes—and possibly to compete more directly with Apple’s evolving iPhone lineup.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a>&#8216;s upcoming Galaxy S26 Edge could be getting a meaningful upgrade that directly tackles one of the most common complaints about its predecessor: battery life. A new leak suggests the 2026 model will not only be slimmer but could also pack a significantly larger battery—an unusual and potentially impressive combination.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="724" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1024x724.jpg?x44794" alt="Galaxy S25 Edge" class="wp-image-698853" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1024x724.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-300x212.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-768x543.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1536x1086.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-696x492.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1068x755.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1920x1357.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-594x420.jpg 594w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-100x70.jpg 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge.jpg 2000w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<h2>A significantly bigger battery without the bulk</h2>

<p>According to a new post by tipster Setsuna Digital on Weibo, the Galaxy S26 Edge may feature a 4,400mAh battery—up from the 3,900mAh cell found in the Galaxy S25 Edge. That’s a 500mAh increase, which could go a long way in addressing user frustrations over the previous model’s relatively short battery life. A <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/31/both-galaxy-s26-pro-and-s26-edge-to-boast-bigger-batteries-unlike-s26-ultra/">recent leak</a> pointed to a smaller 4,200mAh battery, so this latest number suggests Samsung is still fine-tuning the hardware.</p>

<p>Interestingly, the S26 Edge is also rumored to be thinner than the S25 Edge, which already measured just 5.8mm thick. That raises the question: how is Samsung squeezing in a bigger battery while slimming down the phone? One possibility is the use of advanced battery materials like silicon-carbon, which can hold more energy than conventional lithium-ion cells. It&#8217;s still unclear whether Samsung will fully adopt this tech, but if it does, it could allow for that larger battery without compromising on design.</p>

<p>The Galaxy S26 Edge is also expected to take the place of the S26 Plus in the lineup, leaving the base <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/29/galaxy-s26-pro-edge-kill-samsung-base-models/">S26 to be replaced by the S26 Pro</a>, and the S26 Ultra <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/04/samsung-achieves-higher-energy-density-s26-ultra-opts-for-thinner-design-instead-of-bigger-battery/">expected</a> to stick with its current 5,000mAh battery. While the 4,400mAh battery in the Edge would still fall short of the 4,900mAh found in the outgoing S25 Plus, Samsung seems to be positioning the Edge as a sleek, mid-tier flagship with enough upgrades—such as a rumored 50MP ultrawide camera—to justify the tradeoff. While none of this is confirmed just yet, the Galaxy S26 Edge is shaping up to be a more refined and relatively well-balanced entry in Samsung&#8217;s flagship series.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a>’s upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup is starting to take shape, and early leaks hint at some noteworthy improvements in battery life. As anticipation builds ahead of the expected January 2026 launch, new details about the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/31/galaxy-s26-pro-seemingly-confirmed-by-gsma-database/">Galaxy S26 Pro</a> and S26 Edge suggest Samsung is addressing user concerns around battery performance.</p>

<h2>Bigger batteries for the Pro and Edge</h2>

<p>A report from <em>GalaxyClub</em> claims the Galaxy S26 Pro will pack a 4,300mAh battery — a decent bump from the 4,000mAh unit in last year’s S25. The S26 Edge, which is expected to replace both the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-edge/">S25 Edge</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-plus/">S25 Plus</a>, is said to include a 4,200mAh battery. That’s up from 3,900mAh in the S25 Edge, but still notably smaller than the 4,900mAh battery found in the S25 Plus.</p>

<p>The Galaxy S26 Ultra, meanwhile, is sticking with its tried-and-tested 5,000mAh battery, which is rumored to support 60W fast charging — an upgrade over the 45W on its predecessor. While the capacity gains are modest, they seem targeted — particularly in response to battery life complaints about the S25 Edge. That said, the S26 Edge’s smaller battery compared to the outgoing Plus model is already raising eyebrows.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/67d518986e650c59e65b4eb1-1-1024x576-1.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-699669" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/67d518986e650c59e65b4eb1-1-1024x576-1.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/67d518986e650c59e65b4eb1-1-1024x576-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/67d518986e650c59e65b4eb1-1-1024x576-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/67d518986e650c59e65b4eb1-1-1024x576-1-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/67d518986e650c59e65b4eb1-1-1024x576-1-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>What makes things even more concerning is Samsung’s chipset choice for the S26 lineup. The S26 Ultra is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/29/galaxy-s26-ultras-firmware-seemingly-confirms-its-chipset/">almost confirmed</a> to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, while Samsung has hinted that the Exynos 2600 will also be part of the lineup. If past trends are any indication, the Edge and Pro models could very well end up with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/25/exynos-2600s-early-geekbench-scores-hint-at-galaxy-s26s-potential/">Exynos 2600</a> — making power efficiency and battery life even more uncertain.</p>

<p>Whether the 2nm process node of the Exynos 2600 (paired with improved resource management) can avoid canceling out the 300mAh battery gain — or if the phone ends up offering better battery life at all — remains to be seen.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung </a>might be planning a big surprise for its next series of flagships. While initial rumors had hinted at the Galaxy S26+ model being replaced, a new rumor suggests that even the compact base S26 is being replaced in favor of a new Galaxy S26 Pro. So here&#8217;s everything you need to know.</p>

<h2>Is Samsung Killing the Galaxy S25 &amp; S25+ for a New S26 Pro and Edge?</h2>

<p>The South Korean tech giant is apparently working on a S25 Edge successor that would <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/14/samsung-replace-galaxy-s26-plus-s26-edge-news/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">replace the Galaxy S26+</a>. This Galaxy S26 Edge will feature a similarly sized display but with a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/23/samsung-nail-it-with-galaxy-s26-edge/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">thinner body while bumping the battery size</a>. Now, <em><a href="https://www.androidauthority.com/exclusive-samsung-galaxy-s26-series-branding-shakeup-3581900/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">AndroidAuthority</a>&#8216;s</em> latest report claims that the standard Galaxy S26 is being replaced with a new Galaxy S26 Pro.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="553" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1024x553.png?x44794" alt="Galaxy S25 Edge" class="wp-image-698664" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1024x553.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-300x162.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-768x415.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1536x829.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-696x376.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1068x577.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge-778x420.png 778w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Galaxy-S25-Edge.png 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>So the lineup will still consist of three devices (unlike the S25 family) with an S26 Pro, an S26 Edge, and a flagship S26 Ultra. The report adds that they found evidence in the One UI 8 internal build, which hints that no base models are planned for Samsung&#8217;s 2026 flagship lineup. In the past, Samsung had associated codenames that correspond to different flagship phones (like the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra). </p>

<p>However, the latest M1, M2, and M3 internal names refer to a new S26 Pro, S26 Edge, and S26 Ultra, with no mention of the base and Plus models. As of right now, it remains unclear whether this is a simple rebranding strategy or if Samsung plans to update the standard version to be more in line with the expensive options for the Galaxy S series. This is still just an unconfirmed report, so take this with a pinch of salt and stick around for more.</p>

You purchased this phone for its looks and feel, not for its practicality or endurance. But its successor might be a lot more practical. A fresh rumor hints at the Galaxy S26 Edge nailing both design and battery.</p>

<h2>Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge: Bigger Battery but Somehow Thinner?</h2>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1000" height="667" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge" class="wp-image-686816" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Galaxy-S25-Edge-1-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge </figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Galaxy S25 Edge wasn&#8217;t the big success the South Korean tech giant was hoping it to be, owing to its hefty price tag and lacklustre battery life. But the brand is not giving up just yet, with new rumors from <a href="https://x.com/UniverseIce/status/1947957315686236253" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><em>Ice Universe </em></a>claiming that the upcoming S26 Edge will bring notable upgrades. As one would expect, the first thing Samsung could be fixing is the battery capacity that will bump the battery life.</p>

<p>However, these improvements extend to the design as well. The Galaxy S25 Edge was already pretty slim and light, but the Galaxy S26 Edge is reportedly getting even thinner (somehow). To recall, the S25 Edge had a super thin 5.8mm body that weighed just 163 grams. So despite having a taller display than the base Galaxy S25, it had a nearly identical heft. Samsung packed a flagship chipset and the S25 Ultra&#8217;s camera in this thin and light chassis.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1000" height="562" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-Galaxy-S25-Edge-Slim-Hardware-Engineering-Break-Boundaries_main2.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-689363" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-Galaxy-S25-Edge-Slim-Hardware-Engineering-Break-Boundaries_main2.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-Galaxy-S25-Edge-Slim-Hardware-Engineering-Break-Boundaries_main2-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-Galaxy-S25-Edge-Slim-Hardware-Engineering-Break-Boundaries_main2-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-Galaxy-S25-Edge-Slim-Hardware-Engineering-Break-Boundaries_main2-696x391.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-Galaxy-S25-Edge-Slim-Hardware-Engineering-Break-Boundaries_main2-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure></div>

<p>Unfortunately, the 3,900mAh battery was its Achilles heel. Adding to its cons, Samsung released this flagship for a starting price tag of 1,099 US Dollars. This made it impractical for power users and inaccessible to the broader audience as well. Although these improvements would easily make it an attractive phone, even with its exorbitant pricing.</p>

<p>For the first time in years, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a> might be ready to ditch the “Plus” model from its flagship Galaxy S lineup. A new report from Korean outlet <em>The Elec </em>claims that Samsung is currently preparing three phones for the Galaxy S26 series. However, none of them reportedly carries the familiar “Plus” branding.</p>

<p>Instead, the lineup is expected to include a standard Galaxy S26, a new Galaxy S26 Edge, and the high-end Galaxy S26 Ultra. This means the Plus model is being replaced by the thin and slim Edge phone.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>No Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus in 2026</strong></h2>

<p>Samsung introduced the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-edge/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Galaxy S25 Edge</a> as the new model in its S series in May 2025. At the time, it looked like an experiment, possibly a test run to gauge consumer response to slim phones. But now, the Edge might be stepping up as a full replacement for the Plus model.</p>

<p>According to the leak, the Galaxy S26 will feature a 6.27-inch screen, the Edge version will jump to 6.66 inches, and the Ultra will stretch to a large 6.89 inches. These figures are reportedly based on panel orders already in production, which may suggest Samsung’s final plans are close to being locked in.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="804" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Ultra-mockip-modified-image-of-S25-Ultra--1024x804.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra mockup (modified image of S25 Ultra)" class="wp-image-671767" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Ultra-mockip-modified-image-of-S25-Ultra--1024x804.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Ultra-mockip-modified-image-of-S25-Ultra--300x236.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Ultra-mockip-modified-image-of-S25-Ultra--768x603.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Ultra-mockip-modified-image-of-S25-Ultra--1536x1206.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Ultra-mockip-modified-image-of-S25-Ultra--2048x1609.jpg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Ultra-mockip-modified-image-of-S25-Ultra--696x547.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Ultra-mockip-modified-image-of-S25-Ultra--1068x839.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Ultra-mockip-modified-image-of-S25-Ultra--1920x1508.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Ultra-mockip-modified-image-of-S25-Ultra--535x420.jpg 535w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra mockup (modified image of S25 Ultra)</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>If this happens, the Edge would take the middle slot in the S26 lineup, filling the gap between the compact base model and the massive Ultra.&nbsp;</p>

<p>For reference, the S25 series comes in four flavours. A regular S25 (6.2-inch), S25 Plus (6.7-inch), S25 Edge (also 6.7-inch), and S25 Ultra (6.9-inch). Removing the Plus would simplify things a bit, but it also means the end of a format that’s been around for nearly a decade.</p>

<p>Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed anything about the S26 series yet, but it will launch in early 2026 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip.</p>

<p>The listings reveal three new model numbers: SM-S942, SM-S947, and SM-S948. According to reports, these correspond to the Galaxy S26, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/galaxy-s26-edge/">Galaxy S26 Edge</a>, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, respectively. But notably missing is the usual “Plus” variant.</p>

<p>That omission suggests Samsung may be restructuring its flagship trio—possibly replacing the mid-tier Galaxy S Plus with a sleeker Edge variant instead.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/galaxy-s26-model-numbers.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-696520" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/galaxy-s26-model-numbers.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/galaxy-s26-model-numbers-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/galaxy-s26-model-numbers-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/galaxy-s26-model-numbers-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/galaxy-s26-model-numbers-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Looking back, the Galaxy S25 lineup used SM-S931 for the base model, SM-S936 for the Plus, and SM-S938 for the Ultra. The S26 base model’s leap to SM-S942 from the expected S941 hints at meaningful upgrades, potentially absorbing some of the features that once defined the Plus model.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the S26 Edge (SM-S947) could take the Plus’s place as a more stylish, performance-focused middle option. It builds on the design language introduced with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-edge/">Galaxy S25 Edge</a>, which launched later than the base and Ultra. This time, though, all three variants seem lined up for a January 2026 reveal—a sign that Samsung may be unifying its flagship launch.</p>

<p>To be clear, nothing is official yet, and Samsung’s plans could shift in the months leading up to launch. But this early model number leak does suggest Samsung is seriously considering a more streamlined S26 lineup.</p>

<p>Bottom line: With the SM-S946 missing and a new Edge variant stepping in, Samsung may be ready to retire the “Plus” for good. Whether that’s a good move depends on how well the Edge model strikes the balance between size, performance, and price. We’ll know more as the January 2026 launch gets closer.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a> seems to be sticking with its expanded S-series lineup. The company introduced the Galaxy S25 Edge earlier this year, and now it looks like the Edge variant is here to stay, at least for another generation. </p>

<p>Both the Galaxy S26 Edge and Galaxy S26 Ultra have surfaced in the GSMA IMEI database ahead of their launch next year.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Galaxy S26 Edge might launch alongside the rest of the S26 series&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>According to the listing, the S26 Edge is registered under model number SM-S947U, while the S26 Ultra carries model numbers SM-S948U and SM-S948N. As usual, the “U” suffix denotes the US variants, while “N” points to the South Korean version.</p>

<p>There’s no sign yet of the standard Galaxy S26 or the S26 Plus in the database. But rest assured, they’ll likely show up in the near future.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery aligncenter has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped">
<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="181" data-id="694298" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Ultra-IMEI.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-694298" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Ultra-IMEI.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Ultra-IMEI-300x60.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Ultra-IMEI-768x154.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Ultra-IMEI-696x140.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="181" data-id="694299" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Edge-IMEI.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-694299" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Edge-IMEI.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Edge-IMEI-300x60.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Edge-IMEI-768x154.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung-Galaxy-S26-Edge-IMEI-696x140.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure>
</figure>

<p>What’s most notable here is that the Galaxy S26 Edge appears alongside the Ultra in the IMEI database. This could be a hint that Samsung might launch its thinner model at the same time as the rest of the S26 lineup; unlike the S25 series, where the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-edge/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">S25 Edge </a>was announced separately.</p>

<p>Under the hood, the S26 series is expected to mark the return of Samsung’s dual-chip strategy. After the Snapdragon-only S25 lineup (due to reported yield issues with the Exynos 2500), the S26 series will likely split <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/22/samsungs-chip-strategy-for-s26-series-z-fold-8-flip-8-leaks-and-heres-a-twist/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">duties between Qualcomm and Samsung silicon</a>. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-1024x683.webp?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-682776" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-1024x683.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-300x200.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-768x512.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-1536x1024.webp 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-2048x1365.webp 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-696x464.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-1068x712.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-1920x1280.webp 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Samsung-Galaxy-S25-Ultra-630x420.webp 630w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Galaxy S25 Ultra</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>A report out of South Korea claims the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/18/galaxy-s26s-exynos-2600-benchmark-leak-hints-at-major-performance-gap-between-variants-again/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Exynos 2600 </a>will power the S26, S26+, and S26 Edge in Europe and Asia. Meanwhile, the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/25/snapdragon-8-elite-2-hits-5-3ghz-in-qualcomm-reference-device/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Snapdragon 8 Elite 2</a> will fuel the S26 Ultra globally, as well as the entire series in key markets like the US.</p>

<p>In parallel, Samsung has also reportedly started internal development on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/16/one-ui-8-5-development-for-galaxy-s26-series-is-already-in-progress/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">One UI 8.5 for the S26 series</a>.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a>’s chip strategy for the Galaxy S26 series, set for early 2026, will echo its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s24/">Galaxy S24</a> approach, using the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/exynos-2600/">Exynos 2600</a> for global S26 and S26+ variants and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/19/qualcomm-just-revealed-when-the-snapdragon-8-elite-2-is-coming/">Snapdragon 8 Elite 2</a> for the S26 Ultra worldwide and all models in the US, Japan, South Korea, and China. The 8th generation foldables will also pack the 8 Elite 2, but there&#8217;s a twist.</p>

<h2>Samsung&#8217;s chip strategy for its upcoming flagships</h2>

<p>The Galaxy S26 series chip plan revives Samsung’s dual-chip strategy after the Snapdragon-exclusive S25 series, driven by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/11/06/exynos-2500-faces-production-setbacks-samsungs-3nm-yield-falls-below-20/">Exynos 2500’s yield issues</a>. A recent report out of South Korea claims the Exynos 2600, built on Samsung’s 2nm SF2 node with GAA FET architecture, will power the S26 and S26+ (or S26 Edge) in regions like Europe and Asia, while the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, made on TSMC’s 3nm N3P node, will fuel the S26 Ultra globally and the entire lineup in key markets. This mirrors the S24’s split, where the S24 Ultra used Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 worldwide, but the S24 and S24+ had Exynos 2400 in most regions.</p>

<p>Notably, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 “For Galaxy” will be manufactured using Samsung’s 2nm process, rather than TSMC’s. Qualcomm previously partnered with Samsung Foundry for the Snapdragon 888 and 8 Gen 1, but later returned to TSMC despite the higher costs—primarily due to performance and efficiency requirements. Will the 8th-generation foldables face similar issues as those earlier flagships? Only time will tell.</p>

<p>The Exynos 2600 and the 8 Elite 2 For Galaxy’s theoretical edge lies in its 2nm process, but TSMC’s N3P has historically outperformed Samsung’s nodes. Qualcomm’s dual-sourcing mainly aims to cut costs, as TSMC’s 3nm wafers are significantly pricier, reportedly priced at around $18,000 per wafer last year.</p>

<p>Hot on the heels of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-edge/">Galaxy S25 Edge</a> launch on May 13, a rumor from South Korea suggests Samsung might axe the Galaxy S26+ in favor of a Galaxy S26 Edge for its 2026 lineup. With the Plus model underperforming, the &#8220;razor-thin&#8221; Edge could take its place alongside the S26 and S26 Ultra, mirroring Apple’s strategy with the iPhone 17 series.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="798" height="532" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Galaxy-S25-Edge-front-back-1.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-686718" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Galaxy-S25-Edge-front-back-1.png 798w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Galaxy-S25-Edge-front-back-1-300x200.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Galaxy-S25-Edge-front-back-1-768x512.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Galaxy-S25-Edge-front-back-1-696x464.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Galaxy-S25-Edge-front-back-1-630x420.png 630w" sizes="(max-width: 798px) 100vw, 798px" /></figure>

<p>Sources cited by The Elec claim Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series, codenamed “NPA,” is in early development with three models: S26, S26 Edge, and S26 Ultra. Notably absent is the S26+, which has been the weakest seller in Samsung’s flagship lineup, with only 6.7 million of the 37.7 million targeted S25 series units, compared to 13.6 million for the S25 and 17.4 million for the S25 Ultra.</p>

<p>The S26 Edge, expected to retain the ultra-slim design, could replace the S26+ to capitalize on the trend toward thinner phones, a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/07/08/apple-will-reportedly-ditch-iphone-17-plus-for-a-slim-model/">strategy</a> echoed by Apple’s rumored iPhone 17 Air (<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/13/iphone-17-air-roundup-heres-everything-known-about-the-radical-slim-iphone/">roundup</a>). However, the decision hinges on the S25 Edge’s sales, which carry a $1,099 price tag but compromise on battery (3,900mAh) and telephoto cameras. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/13/samsung-galaxy-s25-edge-snapdragon-8-elite-specs-price/">More details about the Galaxy S25 Edge</a> here. Confusion over the S25+ and Edge coexistence suggests a refined S26 Edge with better battery tech, like silicon-carbon, could address critiques.</p>

<p>Samsung is developing four OLED panels for the S26 series, leaving room for a last-minute S26+ revival if the Edge underperforms. Set for a January 2026 launch, the S26 Edge might feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED and a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.</p>

<p>The S25 Edge packs a 200MP main camera alongside a 12MP ultrawide, but lacks a telephoto lens. The S25 Plus, at least, includes a 10MP 3x telephoto—albeit with a tiny 1/3.94&#8243; sensor that&#8217;s been there since the Galaxy S22 series—adding a bit more versatility to its camera system. Will the next Edge model include something similar to bridge the gap and replace the Plus model? Let’s keep an eye out as we get closer to the launch.</p>
