<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a> may be gearing up to launch its flagship Galaxy Tab S11 this week, but it also has something more modest in the pipeline. The upcoming Galaxy Tab A11 4G has just shown up on Geekbench with the model number SM-X135F.</p>

<p>The benchmark reveals that the Tab A11 4G is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99, the same processor that runs inside the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-tab-a9/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Tab A9</a>. It’s paired with 4GB of RAM, Android 15, and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. On Geekbench 6, the tablet posted 729 points in single-core and 1962 points in multi-core tests.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A11-4G-Geekbench.jpg?x10805" alt="Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 Geekbench benchmark" class="wp-image-704634" width="500" height="600" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A11-4G-Geekbench.jpg 500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A11-4G-Geekbench-250x300.jpg 250w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A11-4G-Geekbench-350x420.jpg 350w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></figure></div>

<h2><strong>Samsung is not alone in this</strong> </h2>

<p>However, it’s not just Samsung that relies on this chip, or on MediaTek in general, for entry-level tablets. Devices like the OnePlus Pad Go and Lenovo Tab Plus are powered by the same Helio G99, while the Redmi Pad 2 uses the Helio G100, which is essentially a rebranded version of the G99.</p>

<p>We’ve broken that down in detail in a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/13/mediatek-helio-g99-vs-g100-vs-g200/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">separate piece</a>, but the gist is that the Helio G-series has become the go-to option in the entry-level tablet market.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="538" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/MediaTek-Helio-G99-1024x538.jpg?x10805" alt="MediaTek Helio G99" class="wp-image-461824" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/MediaTek-Helio-G99-1024x538.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/MediaTek-Helio-G99-300x158.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/MediaTek-Helio-G99-768x403.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/MediaTek-Helio-G99-696x365.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/MediaTek-Helio-G99-1068x561.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/MediaTek-Helio-G99-800x420.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/MediaTek-Helio-G99.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>As for the specs, the Helio G99 is an octa-core silicon with two performance cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six efficiency cores at 2.0GHz. It’s capable enough for streaming, browsing, and light gaming, though it obviously can’t compete with higher-end Snapdragon or Apple silicon chips.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Tab A11 will succeed the Galaxy Tab A9, which features an 8.7-inch TFT LCD display, a 5,100mAh battery with 15W charging, stereo speakers, and even a 3.5mm headphone jack.</p>

<p>If not the chipset, Samsung should at least introduce meaningful upgrades in other areas of the Galaxy Tab A11. A slightly larger display, slimmer bezels, or improved cameras could make it a more compelling buy. The device will target budget-conscious users who just want a reliable tablet for casual use.</p>
