Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab A7 in the second half of 2020. The Galaxy Tab A8 succeeded it at the end of 2021. Almost two years after its debut, the company is now gearing up to re-release the tablet with a change. Let’s take a look at this upcoming variant.

In early May, SamMobile reported that Samsung is planning to launch many tablets. One of them was the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022 Edition, which went official a few days later.

The publication had mentioned a tablet with model number SM-T503 among others. According to the retail sources of GizPie, this model number belongs to the Galaxy Tab A7 2022 Edition.

Apart from the branding, the sources have also revealed the chipset. Unlike the original which had a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC, the 2022 Edition will be powered by a Unisoc T618 chip.

Just like the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite refresh, there seems to be only one memory configuration for the Galaxy Tab A7 revival. The table is expected to arrive with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.

Talking about other features, the forthcoming Samsung tablet is said to retain the same specs as the original model. Hence, it will likely arrive with a 10.4-inch display (TFT LCD) sporting a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels, quad speakers, 3.5mm headphone jack, MicroSD card slot, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, 7,040mAh battery, and 15W fast charging support.

Samsung announced the arrival of the Galaxy Tab A7 64GB variant to India in a press release. This version of the tablet will go on sale on Samsung online store, Amazon India, and Flipkart from April 19.

Interestingly, the company did not reveal the price of this version. Also, it did not clarify whether the 64GB variant will be available in both WiFi-only and 4G editions. Anyway, we expect to learn about it before it goes on sale next week.

For those unaware, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 features a 10.4-inch TFT LCD panel with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels (WUXGA+), Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC, 3GB RAM, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, GALILEO), USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and MicroSD card slot.

Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab A7 as its latest budget tablet in early September. The device was initially made available in Europe and it even made its way to India late last month. Now, it has finally hit the US shores as well in 32GB and 64GB storage configurations. Interestingly, it is cheaper in America than other regions.

The Galaxy Tab A7 is one of the few devices from Samsung’s portfolio to come with a Qualcomm chipset worldwide.It is powered by 11nm Snapdragon 662 chip paired with 3GB RAM. This combo is more than enough to handle multimedia and some light gaming. 

The tablet sports a 10.4-inch TFT LCD panel on the front with a resolution of 2000 x1200 pixels and around 80% screen-to-body ratio. It features a metal unibody design like most tablets in the market and houses an 8MP rear-facing camera as well as a 5MP front-facing camera for video calls and selfies.

A 7,040mAh battery runs the show and it charges via USB Type-C port. It also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is surprisingly not present in the cheaper $199.99 TCL TAB by Verizon Wireless.

That said, the new budget tablet from Samsung runs One UI 2.1 based on Android 10 and features dual-band WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, quad-speaker, and a microSD card slot to expand the storage if needed.

The Galaxy Tab A7 is only available in WiFi version in the US and customers can pick it up in either Dark Gray, Silver or Gold color variant. The base 32GB model is priced at $229.99, whereas the higher 64GB costs $279.99. That means the tablet is more affordable than in both Europe and India.

Earlier this week, a teaser page for Galaxy Tab A7 went live on Amazon India. However, it did not expose the launch date of Samsung’s new tablet in the country. Now, a new report not only reveals when the product will be available for pre-order but also hints at its price and when it will go on sale.

The Galaxy Tab A7 is the latest budget tablet from the house of Samsung. The company made it official in the first week of September. However, it is yet to hit the shelves in most countries including India.

Now, according to a report by IANS (via SamMobile), the Galaxy Tab A7 will be available for pre-order in India starting September 28. Whereas, its sale will commence in early October.

That’s not all, the report also mentions the price of the high-end variant to fall between ₹20,000 and ₹25,000. This suggests the base version may retail for less than ₹20,000 making this tablet one of the best in this segment.

Having said that, the South Korean tech giant is yet to officially announce any of the above-mentioned information. And therefore, we expect the company to do it on Monday. Also, we are certain that his report is legitimate as almost all reports by IANS on Samsung have been authentic so far.

Earlier this week, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A42 5G smartphone and Galaxy Tab A7 tablet. However, the company did not reveal any details on their pricing and availability. Through a press release, the South Korean company has confirmed the pricing, variants, color options, and availability of both devices.

According to the press release, the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G will be available through Samsung Germany’s online store and in German stores from November. The Galaxy A42 5G will be available in color options such as black, white, and gray. With pricing of 369 euros, it is the cheapest 5G phone from Samsung.

Samsung has revealed that the Galaxy A42 5G has a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with an Infinity-U notch design. There is a 5,000mAh battery under the hood of the device. It is unclear which processor is present inside the A42 5G. The phone is equipped with a front camera of 20-megapixel and it also features an in-screen fingerprint reader.

The rear positioned quad-camera system has a 48-megapixel primary shooter, an 8-mgeapixel ultrawide lens, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a 5-megapixel lens for adding depth effects. It has a front-facing camera of 20-megapixel.

Samsung is rumored to launch the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ with flagship specifications on July 22. Recently, a new Samsung tablet named Galaxy Tab A7 was spotted at the Bluetooth SIG certification platform. The tablet seems to be inching towards its launch as it has bagged approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the U.S.

The Bluetooth SIG appearance had confirmed the Galaxy Tab A7 and the associated model numbers such as SM-T500, SM-T505, SM-T505N, and SM-T507. Based on how Samsung assigns model numbers for Wi-Fi and LTE versions of its tablets, it can be said that the SM-T500 is the Wi-Fi only version of the Galaxy Tab A7 and SM-T505, SM-T505N and SM-T507 are its LTE variants. The Bluetooth certification revealed that it carries support for Bluetooth 5.0.

The FCC certification of the SM-T505 i.e. LTE version of the Galaxy Tab A7 shows that it measures 247.6mm in height and 157.36 in width. The tablet measures 293.37mm diagonally. This indicates that the device could be equipped with a display that measures around 10 inches.
