Samsung has silently unveiled the Galaxy Tab A9 series of tablets in India. The Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+ are now listed for purchase on Amazon. The vanilla model comes with support for 4G LTE connectivity, whereas the Tab A9+ is a 5G-enabled device. Here is a look at the specifications, features, and prices of both models.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9, Galaxy Tab A9+ specifications

The Galaxy Tab A9 has an 8.7-inch LCD panel that offers 800 x 1340 pixels resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Helio G99 chipset and a 5,100mAh battery that supports 15W charging. It has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera. The Tab A9 has a thickness of 8mm and weighs 366 grams.

The Galaxy Tab A9+ has an 11-inch LCD screen that produces 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device features the Snapdragon 695 chip and a 7,040mAh battery with 15W charging. The Tab A9+ has a 5-megapixel camera on the front and an 8-megapixel camera on the back. It has a thickness of 6.9mm and weighs 510 grams. For audio, the Tab A9+ features AKG-tuned quad speakers.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 series price in India

The Galaxy Tab A9 comes in two choices, such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage (Wi-Fi-only) and 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage (Wi-Fi + 4G). These variants are priced at Rs 12,999 (~$156) and Rs 13,999 (~$168) (Amazon), respectively.

The Galaxy Tab A9+ variants are not clearly listed on Amazon. It appears that the device will come in multiple variants, such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage (Wi-Fi-only), 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage (Wi-Fi + 5G), and 8 GB RAM + 128G B storage (Wi-Fi-only). The listing only states the price of the 8GB+128GB Wi-Fi-only variant as Rs 20,999 (~$252).

Buyers should note that the Galaxy Tab A9 series’ retail box does not include a charger.  Both models will come in three colors, such as Dark Blue, Grey, and Silver. The shipments of the Tab A9 series will start on Oct. 18. Customers can use an SBI Bank credit card to avail Rs 1,000 discount on the Tab A9 and the Rs 3,000 discount on the Tab A9+.

As per the Product Price Announcement sheet from Samsung, the Galaxy Tab A9 LTE with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will be available for Rs 15,999, and the WiFi model will cost Rs 12,999. The Galaxy Tab A9+ Wi-Fi with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage will retail for Rs 18,999 and the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model will go for Rs 20,999. Meanwhile, the LTE 4GB RAM + 64GB version will cost Rs 22,999 and the 8GB RAM variant will be available for Rs 24,999.

The upcoming Galaxy A series tablet already appeared in multiple certifications and leaks. As per its appearance on Google Play Console, the Galaxy Tab A9+ features the Snapdragon 695 coupling 2 ARM Cortex-A78s. It will bundle a 1200 x 1920 resolution display. It will feature a 7040 mAh battery with 15W fast charging, and dual-band WiFi support as per FCC documents.

The vanilla Galaxy Tab A9 variant hasn’t made it yet to Play Console, but it made a visit to the Geekbench, which reveals certain specifications of the device. It seems bundled with a MediaTek Dimensity Helio G99, 4GB RAM and runs on OneUI 5.1 based on Android 13. As per FCC, it measures 210.7mm x 124.7mm x 6.94mm and couples 5000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging.

Following the past leaks and certification appearance, the Galaxy Tab A series launch is not so far away. We could expect its launch by the end of this year.

Samsung is nearing the launch of several new smart devices including new smartphones and tablets. Among the list of upcoming devices – the Galaxy Tab A9, Galaxy Tab S9 FE, and Galaxy S23 FE smartphones have appeared on Google Play Console. the listing has unveiled some key specifications of all three devices. We will look at the specifications of each respective device below:

Galaxy Tab S9 FE

The Galaxy Tab S9 which was launched earlier this year, and the Fan Edition is awaiting launch with a slight downgrade in specifications. The WiFi-only variant has appeared on the Play Console listing with Samsung Exynos 1380 SoC coupling 4 ARM Cortex A78 cores and 4 A55 cores, 6GB RAM, and Mali G68 GPU. The smartphone features a display having 1440 x 2304 pixels resolution and 280 DPI pixel density. It runs on Android 13 and houses a single rear camera setup.

Along with spec details, a render image is also published. It resembles the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ but bundles a single rear camera.

Based on previous leaks, the smartphone could launch with a massive 9,800 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. The

Galaxy Tab A9

Another affordable tablet aka Galaxy Tab A9 made its appearance on the Google Play Console bearing model number SM-X115. As leaked earlier, the listing also confirms the presence of MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, Mali G57 GPU, and 4GB RAM. It runs Android 13 OS. It carries a display resolution of 800 x 1340 pixels.

Further, it features a single rear and a front camera. The tablet will support 4G connectivity.

The affordable tablet has already appeared on multiple certifications like India’s BIS, TDRA, NBTC, and others.

Galaxy S23 FE

Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy S23 FE, and the same has appeared on the Google Play Listing. The smartphone is spotted with two chipsets – Exynos 2200 chipset and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The chipset usage will be based on the respective region.

Further, the listing confirms the presence of 8GB RAM and Full HD+ resolution. The smartphone runs Android 13 and will carry a design language similar to the current device lineup of the company.

However, the previous leaks suggest it could come with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with having 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is likely to come with 356GB storage. There will be a triple rear camera bundling a 50M primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 12MP telephoto lens. A 10 MP selfie shooter will be present on the front. The device could debut with a 4500 mAh battery and 25W fast charging.

The smartphone has already made it to  NBTC, TDRA, Bluetooth SIG, BIS, and others.

Samsung is expected to launch the new Galaxy Tab A9 series of tablets soon. The lineup is rumored to include the Galaxy Tab A9 and Galaxy Tab A9+. But prior to any official announcement, the base model of the series was spotted on a popular benchmarking platform.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 GeekBench Listing

The South Korean tech giant’s upcoming mid range tablet was spotted on GeekBench. The listing revealed that the Galaxy Tab A9 is equipped with a CPU that features six cores that clock in at 2.00GHz along with two cores that have a 2.20GHz clock speed. This processor is also paired with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. With this description, the device will likely be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC.

Furthermore, the GeekBench sighting also confirmed that the new tablet will run on Android 13 OS out of the box and feature 4GB of RAM. Looking at the benchmark results, the device scored 735 points in the single core test. On the other hand, the multi core results had a score of 1,766 points. Notably, this is in line with our previous report, which also claimed that the tablet will feature the Helio G99 chipset.

Based on the sighting on BIS, we also know that the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 will be powered by a large 5,100mAh battery pack that supports 15W fast charging. The device also recently surfaced on the TDRA certification platform with the SM-X110 (Wi-Fi only) model number. Unfortunately, the brand has yet to officially announce this product, but the certifications do hint that its launch is just around the corner.

Samsung recently launched the Galaxy Tab S9 series of tablets as the flagship offering from the brand, but now the South Korean giant is gearing up to launch a new budget tablet under the Galaxy A-series, dubbed Samsung Galaxy Tab A9.

Ahead of the official launch of the Galaxy Tab A9, the device has been spotted on the BIS certification website, indicating that it will soon launch in the Indian market. Now, the chipset powering the tablet has also been leaked online.

According to the new report, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 will come powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor. It appears to be much better in terms of performance when compared to the MediaTek MT8768 powering the Galaxy A7 tablet.

The MediaTek Helio G99 SoC is built using a 6nm process by TSMC and the company claims that it enables great gaming all day, plus big cameras, fast displays, smooth streaming, and reliable global connectivity. It packs two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, coupled with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

Based on the BIS Certification listing, the Galaxy Tab A9 carries the SM-X115 model number and will offer 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and FM support. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 5,100mAh battery and has support for 15W fast charging.

It is expected to feature a 5000 mAh battery with 15W charging support. The tablet measures 210.7mm in length, and 124.7mm in width.

In connectivity, it will feature support for a 3.5mm audio jack, LTE/WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth.
