Compared to 2022 or, say, 2023, Samsung‘s tablet lineup is a lot less confusing now, and that’s a good thing. Instead of having several models that feel almost the same, the current lineup has only two flagship tablets, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and the Galaxy Tab S11.

Picking between the two mainly comes down to how big a screen you want, how portable you need the tablet to be, and how much you’re willing to spend. The two share the same Dimensity 9400+ chip, and many of the same features, but their sizes and a few key specs are quite different. And if neither fits your budget, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 FE series offers a couple of cheaper alternatives worth considering. Here’s how they compare.

Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is Samsung’s biggest and most powerful tablet. It has a huge 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness. That makes the screen smooth, bright, and easy to see outdoors.

Despite the large display, Samsung has made the tablet just 5.1mm thick. That makes it the thinnest Galaxy Tab yet. Inside, the Tab S11 Ultra uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ chipset with up to 16GB of RAM. It has enough power for demanding tasks such as video editing in LumaFusion, drawing in Clip Studio Paint, and heavy multitasking.

The battery has also grown to 11,600mAh, up from 11,200mAh on the previous model. Samsung says it can deliver around 23 hours of video playback. Charging is limited to 45W, which isn’t especially fast for such a large battery.

The included S Pen has also been redesigned. It now has a hexagonal body and a cone-shaped tip, which should make it more comfortable to use for long writing and drawing sessions.

If you want a more laptop-like setup, Samsung also offers a Pro Keyboard accessory that connects through the Pogo Pin interface.

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra starts at $1,299.99 for the 256GB model and goes up to $1,899.99 for the 1TB version.

Galaxy Tab S11

Not everyone wants to carry around a 14.6-inch tablet. That’s where the standard Galaxy Tab S11 makes more sense. It has an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and uses the same Dimensity 9400+ chipset as the Ultra. You also get up to 12GB of RAM.

The tablet retains the same IP68 rating as the Ultra model. There are a few compromises, though. The battery is smaller at 8,400mAh, and the rear camera setup is much simpler. Instead of the Ultra’s ultra-wide camera, the Tab S11 has a single 13MP rear camera.

Aside from those differences, the experience is very similar. It runs One UI 8, supports the S Pen, and gets seven years of OS and security updates from Samsung.

So if you don’t need a huge screen, the Tab S11 gives you most of the Ultra’s performance in a much smaller body. The Galaxy Tab S11 starts at $899.99 for the 128GB model.

Honorable mentions: Galaxy Tab S10 FE and FE+

If flagship pricing is out of the question, Samsung’s FE lineup is worth a look too. The Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ packs a 13.1-inch LCD at 90Hz with a 2880 x 1800 resolution, making it the largest screen on any non-Ultra Samsung tablet, while the standard Galaxy Tab S10 FE keeps things compact with a 10.9-inch panel at the same refresh rate.

Both run Samsung’s own Exynos 1580 chip, come with an S Pen in the box, and carry an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, so the core experience still feels close to the flagship line even with a step down in internals.

The FE+ even has a bigger battery than the vanilla S11 at 10,090mAh, while the smaller FE gets an 8,000mAh battery that’s still enough for a full day of typical use. Just know that Samsung’s update policy for the FE series wasn’t spelled out clearly at launch, though the company later confirmed seven years of coverage, matching what the S11 series launched with.

How to choose the right Galaxy Tab

The biggest differences between these four tablets are screen size and budget.

If you want the biggest and most powerful Samsung tablet available, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is the obvious choice. It’s the best option for creators, designers, and people who want to use their tablet as a laptop replacement.

The Galaxy Tab S11 makes more sense if you want flagship performance but prefer something smaller and easier to carry. You still get the AMOLED display, powerful processor, S Pen support, IP68 protection, and long software support.

If screen size matters more than raw performance, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ offers a large 13.1-inch display at a much lower price. It’s a particularly good choice for students and anyone who mainly needs a tablet for entertainment, studying, and everyday tasks.

Finally, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE is the simplest choice for buyers on a tighter budget. It is smaller and less powerful than the S11 models, but it still includes the S Pen, a 90Hz display, IP68 protection, and a capable processor.

All four tablets support Samsung’s software features, including DeX and Galaxy AI, while the S11 series runs Android 16 with One UI 8. The FE models offer many of the same everyday features at a lower price. So, if you know how much screen you need and how much you’re willing to spend, choosing between these four tablets shouldn’t be a hassle.

The post Best Samsung Galaxy Tab S series compared: Which tablet is right for you? appeared first on Gizmochina.

Samsung has officially unveiled its Galaxy Tab S11 lineup, bringing two premium tablets that pack high end hardware, super slim design, and tall, vibrant displays. From the latest MediaTek flagship chipset to Galaxy AI functionality, the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra are the best tablets from the brand.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra arrives as Samsung’s latest and greatest tablet. You’re getting flagship level specs and features, all of which are packed in a super slim and premium 5.1mm body (weighs around 695 grams). This makes it even thinner than Apple iPad. On the front, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra sports a huge 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 2960 x 1848 resolution, 1600 nits of peak brightness, 5.2mm bezels, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, it is equipped with MediaTek’s most powerful chipset, the Dimensity 9400+. The high end processor is coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. Users can even expand the storage by up to 2TB via a microSD card slot. A massive 11,600mAh battery pack powers this model, which supports 45W wired fast charging. The Dimensity 9400+ has a faster NPU that powers Galaxy AI and various AI powered tools.

This includes Drawing Assist and Writing Assist for productivity tasks along with other popular features like Circle to Search. One can even use this model as a PC thanks to Samsung DeX. Samsung offers a dual camera setup on the rear with a 13MP main and an 8MP ultra wide angle lens. Meanwhile, the front houses a 12MP shooter for selfies and video calls. Other notable features include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and both 5G and WiFi only variants.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11

The base Galaxy Tab S11 is similar to the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra in more ways than one. You’re getting the same Android 16 OS based One UI 8 custom skin with all of the new AI tools. It is also powered by the Dimensity 9400+ chip. However, the standard model gets a shorter 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 2560 x 1600 resolution, 1600 nits of peak brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Aluminum Armor frame returns, as well as an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. However, there are a couple of downgrades like a lacking ultra wide camera, a thicker 5.5mm chassis, WiFi 6E, and a smaller 8,400mAh cell. Other similar features include the new S Pen, quad speakers, and a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

Samsung’s next flagship tablets are showing up early, with European retailers already listing the Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra ahead of their expected debut at IFA 2025. The early listings give us a good look at pricing and confirm several key specs.

According to two Polish online retailers, the Galaxy Tab S11 will start at PLN 4,099 (€960) for the Wi-Fi-only model with 256GB storage. A 5G version with 128GB storage is listed at PLN 4,399 (€1,030), with higher-capacity 512GB options available for both. Previous US leaks suggest the base Wi-Fi version could start at around $860. The standard Tab S11 is expected to feature an 11-inch 120Hz AMOLED display (2560×1600), MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, and an 8,400mAh battery with 45W charging.

The larger Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra comes in at PLN 6,299 (~€1,475) for the Wi-Fi 512GB model, with the 5G 256GB option listed at the same price. In the US, pricing is rumored to start at $1,200 for the 12GB/256GB model and climb up to $1,700 for the top 16GB/1TB version. Both models support microSD expansion, pack a 13MP rear and 12MP front camera, and will ship with Android 16 and One UI 8. Samsung is promising seven years of software support.

The Galaxy Tab S11 series is expected to be announced on September 4 at IFA 2025, alongside the Galaxy S25 FE. With strong specs and AI-focused software, Samsung is clearly positioning the lineup against Apple’s iPad Pro.

Samsung has lined up a new Galaxy event on 4th September 2025, where it is expected to unveil a bunch of new products. The major highlights of this upcoming event include the new Galaxy S25 FE model and Galaxy Tab S11 series. So here’s everything you need to know.

Galaxy S25 FE: Affordable Flagship

Based on what we know so far, the next gen Fan Edition smartphone brings high end features at a budget. Samsung’s Galaxy S25 FE sports a tall 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus+ for protection. Under the hood, it is equipped with the Exynos 2400 SoC, which also powered Samsung’s 2024 flagships, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+. This processor is paired with 8GB of RAM and at least 128GB of internal storage.

For photography, the rear has a 50MP (Main) + 12MP (Ultra Wide) + 8MP (Telephoto) triple camera setup, while the front may house a 12MP selfie shooter. A 4,900mAh battery pack powers this model with support for 45W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. Following Samsung’s new design trend, the Galaxy S25 FE is getting a slimmer 7.4mm chassis and four color options, namely navy, icy blue, white, and black.

Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra: AI-First Productivity

Alongside the more approachable Galaxy S series smartphone, we’re also getting treated to the next top tablets from Samsung, the Galaxy Tab S11 and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. The South Korean tech giant is apaprently working on powerful new tablets that are reportedly powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC. The standard Galaxy Tab S11 is expected to sport an 11-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the more expensive Tab S11 Ultra model could debut with a larger 14.6-inch AMOLED screen.

The flagship Tab S11 Ultra is also rumored to bring an ultra slim 5.1mm body, which would have it surpass Apple’s iPads. A massive 11,600mAh battery pack with 45W fast charging could power the more expensive option, with the vanilla option rumored to feature an 8,400mAh battery. Another big upgrade is with AI powered tools with Galaxy AI. Other notable features might include Samsung DeX, IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, along with 5G and WiFi only variants.

The post Samsung’s Galaxy Event Sneak Peek: Affordable Flagship & New Premium Tablets Incoming appeared first on Gizmochina.

Samsung has just announced a Galaxy Event that will take place on September 4. According to the official announcement, the event will showcase the latest AI experiences and several new Galaxy devices.

While Samsung has not explicitly named those devices, it says there will be new premium AI tablets and a new member of the Galaxy S25 series. It doesn’t take long to realize the brand is actually hinting at the Galaxy S25 FE and the Galaxy Tab S11 series that have been in the leaks and rumor mill for a while now.

Both the Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy Tab S11 series will come with Android 16-based One UI 8 right out of the box. This also means the S25 FE will get the One UI 8 before other Galaxy S25 models, which are currently on One UI 7 and are scheduled to receive a stable One UI 8 update sometime in September.

Another plus point for the Fan Edition model is that it will get an additional major upgrade. So, while the Galaxy S25 FE will receive OS updates all the way up to Android 23, other S25 models will remain stuck on Android 22.

Besides new Galaxy hardware, a significant portion of the Galaxy Event will focus on Galaxy AI. However, it’s unclear whether the brand will unveil new Galaxy AI features or simply highlight the existing Galaxy AI features that are already available on the Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy Z Fold 7. The latter seems more likely as One UI 8 has already debuted on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and the next major upgrade isn’t coming anytime soon.

You can watch the upcoming Galaxy Event on Samsung.com and the company’s YouTube channel. The live streaming will begin at 3:00 PM IST (11:30 AM CEST / 9:30 AM GMT / 2:30 AM PT) on September 4.

Samsung’s next premium tablets are almost here, and new leaks are giving us a better idea of how much the Galaxy Tab S11 series might cost.

A report from YTECHB points to US pricing for the Wi-Fi models. The regular Tab S11 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is said to come in at $860. The larger Tab S11 Ultra looks set to start at $1,200 for the same configuration, with higher tiers hitting $1,400 (12GB/512GB) and $1,700 (16GB/1TB). Pricing for the S11’s smaller and larger storage options hasn’t surfaced yet, and cellular versions will likely add a premium.

That puts Samsung’s new tablets right up against Apple’s iPad lineup — the iPad Air starts at $599, while the iPad Pro begins at $999. We’ve already gotten a good look at the Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra, with leaked renders revealing the full design.

Specs-wise, the Tab S11 is expected to feature an 11-inch AMOLED display at 120Hz, while the Ultra goes all out with a 14.6-inch AMOLED panel. Both are tipped to run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400, ship with Android 16 and One UI 8, and support the S Pen. Battery sizes are rumored at 8,400mAh (Tab S11) and 11,600mAh (Ultra), each with 45W fast charging. Both models are expected to be IP68 rated, making them resistant to dust and water.

Samsung rolled out the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup in September last year, so an IFA 2025 reveal for the S11 series looks likely. If these leaks prove accurate, the new tablets could land as strong alternatives to Apple’s iPads — with Samsung banking on bigger screens and longer update support to pull in buyers.

The post Galaxy Tab S11, S11 Ultra pricing leaks ahead of launch appeared first on Gizmochina.

The Galaxy Tab S11 isn’t official yet, but leaks are already giving us a good idea of what Samsung has planned for its next mid-sized tablet. New renders that surfaced this week show a sleek design, paired with specs that suggest Samsung is aiming to make it a real alternative to Apple’s iPad Air.

According to WinFuture, the Tab S11 will pack an 11-inch AMOLED display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Power is expected to come from MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 chip, backed by 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

Cameras aren’t the main focus here — the Tab S11 includes a 13MP rear camera and a 12MP front-facing one for video calls. Other hardware details include four speakers, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and a 5G option.

The Tab S11 measures just 5.5mm thick and weighs 482g. Like other recent Samsung devices, it uses the company’s Armour Aluminium frame and has IP68 water resistance. Battery capacity sits at 8,400mAh with 45W fast charging. As expected, S Pen support is included.

On the software side, the tablet should launch with Android 16 and One UI 8. Samsung is also extending its update promise here, with seven years of OS and security updates confirmed.

Pricing in Europe is tipped at €899 (around $1,050). In the US, it may land closer to $899–$999. The launch is expected around IFA 2025 in September, where it will debut alongside the larger Tab S11 Ultra and the more affordable Tab S10 Lite.

If the leaks prove accurate, the Galaxy Tab S11 could shape up as a compact but capable option for buyers who don’t need the sheer size — or price tag — of the Ultra model.

The post Galaxy Tab S11 leaked renders reveal complete design appeared first on Gizmochina.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S11 lineup is shaping up to be a compelling blend of performance and design. A fresh leak has revealed more details regarding the next gen premium tablets, with flagship hardware, slim design, and much more. So let’s check it out.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra

The South Korean tech giant just had their key details revealed in a recent tweet from Ahmed Qwaider. This model will sport a tall 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. We can also expect a high resolution and high brightness. It is rumored to be equipped with MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9400+ SoC, which could be paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.

A massive 11,600mAh battery pack is expected to power this device, which may support 45W wired fast charging. All of this is packed in a slim 5.1mm body, which is as thin as Apple’s iPad Pro 13. So Samsung is also catching up with Apple for thin high-end tablets. For photography, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra gets a 13MP + 8MP camera setup on the rear and a 12MP selfie shooter on the front. Other notable features include WiFi 7, IP68 rating, SPen support, eSIM, Galaxy AI, and One UI 8.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11

Another tweet from the tipster revealed details of the base Galaxy Tab S11 as well. This entry level model sports an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Just like the higher end model, you get the same IP rating, fast charging speeds, Dimensity 9400+ chip, Galaxy AI, software, eSIM, and camera (excluding the 8MP ultra wide). The smaller version also packs an 8,400mAh cell.

This capacity is in line with our recent report. Both models will be available in at least a gray/silver color option with support for Samsung DeX. However, the base Tab S11 downgrades to the WiFi 6E. It also won’t be as thin with the leak hinting at a 5.5mm body, which is similar to its predecessors. The storage configuration also maxes out with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Keep in mind that this is still just speculation at the moment, so take this news with a pinch of salt and stick around for more.

The post Next-Gen Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 & Tab S11 Ultra Leak Reveals Flagship Specs & Ultra-Slim Design appeared first on Gizmochina.

Samsung’s next high-end tablets, the Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra, are shaping up to be feature-packed flagships — but a new leak suggests they might not last as long as their predecessors.

Listings spotted on Europe’s EPREL database show the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra (SM-X936B) is rated for only 1,200 charge cycles — a drop from the 2,000 cycles claimed for last year’s Galaxy Tab S10 lineup. A battery cycle refers to a full charge and discharge, with the number indicating how many times the battery can go through that process before its capacity falls below 80%.

On paper, the Tab S11 and S11 Ultra should deliver solid daily battery life — 81 and 95 hours per charge, respectively. But the reduced cycle rating suggests they could need a battery replacement much sooner than previous models. For Samsung’s flagship tablets, that could be a sticking point for buyers who plan to hold on to them for multiple years.

The Galaxy Tab S11 series is still expected to deliver premium hardware, including 11-inch and 14.6-inch AMOLED displays, MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, and up to 16GB of RAM. They’ll also carry IP68 water- and dust-resistance ratings. However, EPREL data shows only a “C” repairability score and a low “E” for drop resistance.

By comparison, the more affordable Galaxy Tab S10 Lite keeps the 2,000-cycle battery rating and offers 88 hours of use on a charge. But it makes trade-offs with an LCD display and an Exynos 1380 chipset.

Interestingly, the reduced cycle rating of the flagship tablets might hint at a charging upgrade. The upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumored to jump from 45W to 60W wired charging, and Samsung could bring similar speeds to the Tab S11 lineup. If true, the faster charging could partly explain the lower cycle count, as higher wattages generally put more strain on the battery over time if they’re not designed specifically to handle that. Samsung hasn’t confirmed details yet, but the Galaxy Tab S11 lineup is expected to be unveiled around September, following the same schedule as last year.

The post Galaxy Tab S11’s battery lifespan is rated concerningly low appeared first on Gizmochina.

Samsung’s flagship tablet lineup is set for a refresh later this year, and the company has now offered the clearest hint yet about when the Galaxy Tab S11 series will arrive. The new lineup, expected to bring upgraded hardware and AI-driven features, is officially slated for release in the second half of 2025.

During its Q2 2025 earnings call on August 1, Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy Tab S11 series will launch in the second half of the year. While a specific date hasn’t been announced, this lines up with previous Galaxy Tab S launches, which typically happen around August or September. In addition to the flagship Tab S11 models, Samsung also hinted at upcoming mid-range and entry-level tablets, suggesting a broader push to strengthen its tablet lineup across price segments.

What to expect from the Tab S11 and S11 Ultra

Both are expected to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. MicroSD card support is likely to return, offering additional flexibility for users who need more space.

Battery capacities are also getting a bump. The Tab S11 is said to pack an 8,160mAh battery, while the Ultra model could come with a larger 11,600mAh cell. Both are expected to support 45W fast charging.

Design-wise, a recent live image of the Tab S11 Ultra shows a sleeker look with a single front-facing camera — a shift from the dual-camera setup seen on the Tab S10 Ultra — hinting at refinements in both form and function.

With more powerful internals, large batteries, and Samsung’s latest AI features on board, the Tab S11 series looks like a meaningful step forward for the company’s Android tablet offerings. As we get closer to the expected August–September timeframe, more official details should surface — but it’s clear Samsung is aiming to stay competitive in the high-end tablet space with this next-generation lineup.

The post Samsung confirms when Galaxy Tab S11 series will launch appeared first on Gizmochina.

Samsung‘s next wave of tablets appears to be just around the corner. Leaked live photos have given us an early look at the upcoming Galaxy Tab S11, S11 Ultra, and S10 Lite, hinting at a fall launch and revealing a few notable changes in design and strategy.

The Tab S11 Ultra continues the large-screen trend with what looks like a refined 14.6-inch AMOLED display. This time, however, the wider notch from earlier models has been replaced by a smaller U-shaped cutout, confirming a shift to a single front camera. That change could be a trade-off—favoring a smaller notch over dual-camera versatility.

The Galaxy Tab S11, meanwhile, sticks to a familiar formula, with a design reminiscent of previous models like the Tab S10+ and S10 FE. It features slightly rounded corners and moderately thick bezels. Its dimensions suggest an 11-inch display, keeping it compact and portable.

Samsung also appears to be expanding its reach with a more budget-conscious option. The Galaxy Tab S10 Lite shares a similar look with the S11 but is speculated to pack more modest internals, including an Exynos chip, 6GB of RAM, and a sizable 8,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.

Under the hood, the Tab S11 and S11 Ultra are expected to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ (an upgrade over the Dimensity 9300+ found in the Tab S10+ and S10 Ultra), promising a noticeable performance jump. The entire lineup is set to run Android 16 with Samsung’s latest One UI 8.

With a shift in camera strategy and a more affordable Lite model, Samsung’s new tablets could appeal to a broader audience when they launch later this year.

The post Galaxy Tab S11, S11 Ultra, and S10 Lite real-life shots confirm a downgrade in the top model appeared first on Gizmochina.

A new high end Samsung tablet has just surfaced online. The latest certification sighting has hinted that a new Galaxy Tab S11 series model is in the works. While finer details are still at large, the listing has confirmed the fast charging rate of this premium tablet. So here’s everything you need to know.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 certified in Europe

The South Korean tech giant’s new Galaxy Tab S11 was recently spotted on the UL Demko database carrying the ‘SM-X736B’, ‘SM-X736N’, ‘SM-X730’, and ‘SM-X736C’ model numbers. These are likely for the various versions, which will launch in Europe. This includes Finland, France, Denmark, Sweden, and more. Information regarding the flagship tablet is still scarce, but it will support Samsung’s flagship level fast charging rate of 45W.

To recall, this is the same charging speed as the top-end Galaxy S25 Ultra. It is worth noting that another Galaxy Tab S11 series model was spotted on GeekBench last month with the Dimensity 9400+, which is MediaTek’s flagship chip. This was rumored to be the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra model that was seen in the popular benchmarking platform with 12Gb of RAM and running on the latest Android 16 OS out of the box.

So the model spotted on the UL Demko certification might just be the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. The previous gen Galaxy Tab S10 series skipped the base model and only released the Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. In other words, Samsung could repeat this strategy for its latest flagship tablets as well. This is still just speculation at this point, so take this with a pinch of salt and stick around for more.
