<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-watch4-classic/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Watch 4 Classic</a>, first launched in 2021, was a major leap in smartwatch technology, being among the first to run the revamped Wear OS built in partnership with Google. However, in 2024, it&#8217;s clear that this watch has aged significantly, especially compared to newer models like the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/07/10/samsung-galaxy-watch7-launched-with-a-new-energy-score-feature-and-improved-health-tracking-capabilities/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Watch 7</a>. But the real question is: does it still make sense to buy the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic now?</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1000" height="666" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/galaxy-watch4-classic-1.webp?x10805" alt="galaxy-watch4-classic" class="wp-image-651392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/galaxy-watch4-classic-1.webp 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/galaxy-watch4-classic-1-300x200.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/galaxy-watch4-classic-1-768x511.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/galaxy-watch4-classic-1-696x464.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/galaxy-watch4-classic-1-631x420.webp 631w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure></div>

<h3><strong>Outdated Hardware, Yet Functional</strong></h3>

<p>In terms of hardware, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic runs on the Exynos W920 processor, which, back in its day, was a cutting-edge 5nm chip, providing decent performance and battery efficiency. Fast forward to 2024, the new Galaxy Watch 7 is powered by a 3nm processor, offering three times the CPU speed and much better power efficiency. The gap in performance is obvious, especially when considering more demanding apps and features available on the latest Wear OS devices.</p>

<p>Despite its aging hardware, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic still offers a smooth user experience for basic tasks like fitness tracking, notifications, and health monitoring. It includes staple features like heart rate monitoring, ECG, blood oxygen measurements, and sleep tracking, which are enough for most users. It’s important to note that advanced features like sleep apnea detection and FDA-authorized sensors for glucose or irregular heartbeat, which are found in the Galaxy Watch 7, are missing here.</p>

<h3><strong>Affordability</strong></h3>

<p>What truly makes the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic worth considering in 2024 is its price. While the watch originally launched at a premium price point, it is now available for under Rs. 10,000 during sales, making it the most affordable Wear OS watch. For budget-conscious consumers, this is a major selling point. If you&#8217;re looking for a functional Wear OS watch without breaking the bank, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is currently your best option.</p>

<h3><strong>Classic Design That Still Holds Up</strong></h3>

<p>Another feature working in its favor is the timeless design. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic’s stainless steel casing and rotating bezel still look and feel premium, even three years later. Its robust build with 5ATM water resistance and MIL-STD-810G durability ensures that it can withstand daily wear and tear. While newer models have more customizable bands and improved build materials, the Classic still offers a design that doesn’t feel outdated.</p>

<h3><strong>Should You Buy It?</strong></h3>

<p>If you’re on a tight budget and looking for a reliable Wear OS smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is a solid choice in 2024. It may not have the advanced features or performance of newer models like the Galaxy Watch 7, but it covers the essentials at a price that’s hard to beat.</p>

<p>However, if you’re a tech enthusiast seeking the latest in wearable tech, with advanced health monitoring features, faster performance, and longer battery life, then you might want to skip this one and go for a newer model.</p>

<p>In short, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is an excellent value buy for those prioritizing affordability over cutting-edge features in 2024.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung">Samsung </a>Galaxy Watch users will now be able to tell the time of not just Earth but all the planets in the solar system. Samsung has partnered with the European Space Agency (ESA) to develop a new range of watch faces, one for each planet, to display real-time data of that particular planet.</p>

<p>The new watch face, Galaxy Time, is available on WearOS-powered Galaxy smartwatches. This means it is available on all Samsung smartwatches, including the Galaxy Watch Series 4 and those after it.</p>

<p>Owners of the eligible smartwatch models can download the watch face directly from the Google PlayStore. The Galaxy Time was made public on March 31, as announced by Samsung Germany. That said, its availability may be affected by users’ regions.</p>

<p>There are eight different Galaxy Time watch faces to match the number of planets in the solar system. Each planet has a unique clock system, as time runs slower and faster based on different factors. The time on each planet is calculated by meticulously observing its speed of rotation around its axis and its orbit around the sun. Given the complexity of these calculations, Samsung has partnered with the European Space Agency to ensure the quality of the time data used in Galaxy Time.</p>

<p>In addition to time, the new watch face can provide other helpful insights, including the distance of planets from the Sun and Earth, the number of their moons, and their real-time position and corresponding season. Samsung credits Leo Burnett (Germany), with whom they previously collaborated on the Samsung Galaxy S8 product campaign, with the original concept for the Galaxy Time.</p>

<p>As stated earlier, data about planets’ rotation and revolution are provided by the European Space Agency (ESA). Metadesign, a Berlin-based brand agency, finalized the design for the Galaxy Time watch faces.</p>

However, according to a recent report, the new update has made its way to India. Let’s go ahead and take a look at the post.</p>

<p>In a recent post on X (formally Twitter), Mukul Sharma shared screenshots of the Galaxy Watch 4 receiving the One UI 5 watch update. The new update brings various features and improvements, like adding watch faces and tiles on the watch easily. Users can turn the 360 Audio feature on/off with a new Galaxy Buds Controller tile. Galaxy Watch 4 owners can now check the battery level of their connected Galaxy devices, such as smartphones and earbuds. The complete changelog for the new update can be found on our website by&nbsp;<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/09/06/galaxy-watch-4-receives-wear-os-4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">clicking here</a>.</p>

<p>Furthermore, the update will be visible with the build version ending in HWH5, and the size of the update will be around 1.7GB. Users should be able to get the update automatically. If you have not received the notification, you can go to Watch Settings&gt; Watch software update and tap Download and Install to update the watch manually.</p>

<p>• Device care</p>

<p>• Control your watch without touching it</p>

<p>• Organize apps in folders</p>

<p>• Keep your watch safe: If you set a PIN or pattern on your watch, you’ll need to enter the PIN or pattern before you can set your watch after a factory reset. This prevents your watch from being used by someone else if it’s lost or stolen.</p>

<p>Additionally, to upgrade your Galaxy Watch 4 to the latest firmware, users can open the Galaxy Wearable app on their connected smartphone, access the smartwatch section, and go to Watch settings > Watch software update > Download and install.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a> has started <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/09/01/samsung-wearos-4-pixel-watch/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">rolling out</a> the OneUI 5 Watch update to its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-watch4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Watch 4</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-watch-5/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Watch 5</a>. This update includes a number of new features and improvements. But one of the most interesting new features is support for the Watch Unlock feature. </p>

<p>The feature was first announced earlier this year as a part of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/wearos-4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wear OS 4 </a>and was demonstrated on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/pixel-watch/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pixel Watch</a>. It works by automatically unlocking your phone when your unlocked smartwatch is nearby. This is similar to how the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-watch/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Apple Watch</a> can unlock an <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/apple/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">iPhone</a>. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="278" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Samsung-Watch-Unlock-OneUI-5-Watch.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-563749" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Samsung-Watch-Unlock-OneUI-5-Watch.jpg 278w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Samsung-Watch-Unlock-OneUI-5-Watch-139x300.jpg 139w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Samsung-Watch-Unlock-OneUI-5-Watch-195x420.jpg 195w" sizes="(max-width: 278px) 100vw, 278px" /></figure></div>

<p>With the Watch Unlock feature coming to OneUI 5 Watch, users can now unlock their smartphones without entering a PIN, password, or using biometric authentication, as long as they are wearing a Wear OS 4 smartwatch. This would be helpful for scenarios like when users are driving and wearing a helmet, or when their fingers are wet or dirty.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-3.jpg?x10805" alt="" /></figure>

<p>The feature was first discovered by Android enthusiast Mishaal Rahman for the Pixel Watch a few days ago. <a href="https://twitter.com/armrods" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ærmando</a> later discovered the Watch Unlock feature (com.google.android.clockwork.active_unlock) in the One UI 5 Watch update.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">One UI Watch 5 based on Android 13 is rolling out for the Galaxy Watch 5, and as I suspected, the build declares the <a href="https://t.co/izeCCqNhVF">https://t.co/izeCCqNhVF</a>_unlock feature. Active Unlock is the name for the API underpinning the upcoming Watch Unlock feature.<br><br>Thanks to <a href="https://twitter.com/armrods?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@armrods</a> for checking! <a href="https://t.co/CN0lR8yKph">pic.twitter.com/CN0lR8yKph</a></p>&mdash; Mishaal Rahman (@MishaalRahman) <a href="https://twitter.com/MishaalRahman/status/1697290783559192899?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 31, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p>Also, it&#8217;s important to note that, Watch Unlock is a more secure way to keep your phone unlocked than Trusted Devices. Unlike Trusted Devices, which only keep your phone unlocked for a certain period of time, Watch Unlock only unlocks your phone when your smartwatch is also unlocked. To use this feature, you need to set a PIN or password for your smartwatch.</p>

<p>Software updates aren&#8217;t always a simple and easy roll out. There are times when the new release comes with various bugs and glitches. However, it seems that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung </a>has went a step above this and released a new update that ends up bricking some of its <a href="http://Galaxy Watch 4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Watch 4 </a>models. </p>

<p> A buggy software release is quite common in the tech world with an example being Apple, which is facing many issues with its iOS 16 update in recent times. Now, the South Korean tech giant has apparently rolled out an update that basically makes it impossible to use its smartwatch models. A &#8220;limited&#8221; number of units of the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic have been bricked over the last couple of weeks and the company has pointed at a recent update being the reason.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/galaxy-watch4-green-design-your-own-mo.jpg?x10805" alt="Samsung" class="wp-image-494259" width="559" height="543" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/galaxy-watch4-green-design-your-own-mo.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/galaxy-watch4-green-design-your-own-mo-300x292.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/galaxy-watch4-green-design-your-own-mo-696x677.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/galaxy-watch4-green-design-your-own-mo-432x420.jpg 432w" sizes="(max-width: 559px) 100vw, 559px" /></figure></div>

<p>As per official notes, the recent update is bricking the two 2021 smartwatches. However, Samsung found that the &#8220;VI3&#8221; update oddly doesn&#8217;t immediately cause this effect. Rather, affected users of the Galaxy Watch 4 update found that the issue began arising after they switched off their devices since they refuse to restart once turned off. At the moment, there is no immediate fix to this bug and those affected will have to visit an authorized service center and get a replacement unit. </p>

<p>Although the brand has promised that it will be working on fixing this issue for its customers free of cost in its home market of South Korea. But we can expect a similar move for other regions as well. So one piece of advice right now is to not switch off your Galaxy Watch 4 series smartwatch till Samsung rolls out a new update. The company has even stopped the &#8220;VI3&#8221; update due to this issue, so stick around for more updates.</p>

<p>Now, a <a href="https://www.sammobile.com/news/first-galaxy-watch-4-one-ui-4-5-beta-update-available-for-download/">new report</a> from SamMobile claims that the South Korean giant has started rolling out the first beta build for the smartwatches which is based on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/wear-os">Wear OS</a> 3.5 for those users who have enrolled their devices for this program.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-405567 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4.jpg?x10805" alt="Samsung Watch 4" width="1000" height="745" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-300x224.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-768x572.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-485x360.jpg 485w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-696x519.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Galaxy-Watch-4-564x420.jpg 564w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></p>
<p>To enroll in the program, you will need to open the Samsung Members application on a Samsung <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/smartphone">smartphone</a> that is connected to the smartwatch and sign into the account. If you are in an eligible region, then there will be a banner for the beta program. Click on the banner and follow the on-screen instructions to register.</p>
<p>Once you have registered for the program, you will start receiving the new beta build of Samsung&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/one-ui">One UI</a> 4.5 on your smartwatch. It comes with several new features, including a user interface for the dual SIM functionality, improved notifications, improvements for the built-in keyboard, and support for handwriting, among others.</p>
<p>As of now, there&#8217;s no information available about how long will the beta program last before the South Korean giant start rolling out the stable update for all the users. While the timeline is not confirmed yet, we expect the update with the new features to be rolled out to all the users in the coming months.</p>

<p>The Samsung browser will be optimized to provide a decent browsing experience for users of the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic. It will be possible to seamlessly navigate the web on your wrist using the Samsung web browser. According to Samsung, a guide will come up when you navigate to your first webpage and diagonal swipe actions will help the user navigate within the small display. You can bookmark some sites, zoom in on others and carry out a few browsing tasks without much stress. There is also a shortcut to send a webpage directly to your connected Samsung smartphone.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/samsung-browser.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-417914" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/samsung-browser.png?x10805" alt="" width="1059" height="298" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/samsung-browser.png 1059w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/samsung-browser-300x84.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/samsung-browser-768x216.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/samsung-browser-1024x288.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/samsung-browser-696x196.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 1059px) 100vw, 1059px" /></a></p>
<p>The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic offer several impressive features and the addition of the Samsung web browser to its functionality is a plus. It is however not revolutionary per se. The Tizen-based Samsung smartwatches have browsers. Similarly, other smartwatch brands also have browsing capability incorporated.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic Thom Browne Edition is priced at $799.99 in the US. It will be sold in limited quantities on September 29 via Samsung.com.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The watch arrives with a costlier price tag for multiple reasons. First of all, it has fashion designer Thome Browne’s name on it. Secondly, unlike the regular Galaxy Watch4 Classic, this variant features rhodium plating.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-414572 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-4-Classic-Thom-Browne-Edition-01.jpg?x10805" alt="Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic Thom Browne Edition 01" width="1440" height="920" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-4-Classic-Thom-Browne-Edition-01.jpg 1440w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-4-Classic-Thom-Browne-Edition-01-300x192.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-4-Classic-Thom-Browne-Edition-01-768x491.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-4-Classic-Thom-Browne-Edition-01-1024x654.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-4-Classic-Thom-Browne-Edition-01-696x445.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-4-Classic-Thom-Browne-Edition-01-1068x682.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-4-Classic-Thom-Browne-Edition-01-657x420.jpg 657w" sizes="(max-width: 1440px) 100vw, 1440px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Further, it ships with three interchangeable straps &#8211; leather, rubber, and fabric. All three straps have different colors and patterns. The wearable also comes with five pre-loaded Thom Browne watch faces.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">But unfortunately, the special edition of the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-watch4-classic/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Galaxy Watch4 Classic</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> only arrives in a 42mm Bluetooth version. This caveat is probably the only deciding factor for buyers, in addition to a premium tag.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Either way, collectors won’t mind these two factors and will buy the product anyway. If you are one of those people and reside in the US, then make sure to place your order as soon the wearable goes on sale next week.</span></p>

<p>One of the these older features include an updated version of the PPT Controller app on the Play Store, which is now available on the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. This was initially available in older Tizen models back in 2017 and allowed users to basically control a PowerPoint presentation from their smartwatch. This included functions like controlling slideshows and more, which added a layer of functionality that appealed to students and professionals alike.</p>
<p>For those interested, you can check out the newer version of the feature on the <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.watch.pptcontroller" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Google Play Store</a> (Via <a href="https://www.xda-developers.com/ppt-controller-app-galaxy-watch-4-now-available/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>XDADevelopers</em></a>). The listing on the app store also highlights the various functions of the feature, like letting users switch to the next or previous slide with your smartwatch and stop the presentation. Furthermore, it even allows users to use the physical bezel on the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic or the digital one on the base Galaxy Watch 4 to control the slides.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-411650 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Screenshot-209.png?x10805" alt="Samsung" width="709" height="236" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Screenshot-209.png 709w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Screenshot-209-300x100.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Screenshot-209-696x232.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 709px) 100vw, 709px" /></p>
<p>The feature also showcases key information like the remaining time on your wrist and lets users add a vibration alert to notify them when the presentation has ended. Keep in mind, that one has to connect their smartwatch with a computer to use the PPT controller app.You can do this by connecting the Galaxy Watch 4 series wearable to your Windows PC via Bluetooth.</p>

<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-405058 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Samsung-Exynos-W920.jpeg?x10805" alt="Samsung Exynos W920" width="1000" height="682" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Samsung-Exynos-W920.jpeg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Samsung-Exynos-W920-300x205.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Samsung-Exynos-W920-768x524.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Samsung-Exynos-W920-218x150.jpeg 218w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Samsung-Exynos-W920-696x475.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Samsung-Exynos-W920-616x420.jpeg 616w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></p>
<p>The Exynos W920 is manufactured using Samsung&#8217;s latest 5nm process with extreme ultraviolet lithography technology. It features two <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/arm">ARM</a> Cortex-A55 cores and a Mali-G68 GPU. The company claims that the new chipset is about 20 percent faster than the Exynos 9110 in CPU test and offers massive 10x faster graphics performance.</p>
<p>It comes with fan-out panel-level packaging (FO-PLP) that allows manufacturers to house large batteries and apply sleeker designs for their smartwatches. With a system-in-package embedded package on package configuration, it incorporates the power management integrated circuit, LPDDR4 and embedded multimedia car in the same package.</p>
<p>The chipset is said to be able to handle displays of up to 960 x 540 pixels. There&#8217;s also a dedicated low-power Cortex-M55 display processor that handles Always-on Display tasks, reducing the overall power consumption. It also comes integrated with a 4G LTE modem, GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System), Wi-Fi b/g/n, and Bluetooth 5.0.</p>
<p>Apart from being powered by this new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/exynos">Exynos</a> W920 processor, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic will also be the first to run the new Wear OS 3.0 platform that is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/22/google-reveals-wear-os-3-is-the-official-name-of-its-unified-platform-coming-to-select-current-gen-watches/">co-developed by Google and Samsung</a>. More information will be revealed tomorrow when these new products are officially launched by Samsung at the Galaxy Unpacked event.</p>

<p>The event will be held online, and it will be live-streamed across its social channels. Apart from announcing the new foldables, the company is also expected to unleash the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/06/26/samsung-galaxy-watch4-new-renders-key-features-leaked-before-launch/">Galaxy Watch4</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/01/samsung-galaxy-watch4-classic-renders-leaked-likely-to-arrive-in-three-sizes/">Galaxy Watch4 Classic</a>, and Galaxy Buds2.</p>
<p>For the past few years, Samsung has been launching the Galaxy Note series phone in the month of August. However, it was confirmed by the brand earlier this year that it will not be announcing the Galaxy Note 21 this year.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/01/samsung-galaxy-z-fold-3-camera-chipset-storage-india-launch-leak/">Galaxy Z Fold3</a> is expected to arrive as the first Fold series device from the brand with S Pen stylus support. This device is also said to be equipped with an in-display camera, a first from Samsung. On the other side, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/06/29/samsung-galaxy-z-flip3-new-renders-to-reveal-color-variants/">Galaxy Z Flip3 5G clamshell</a> is expected to sport a refresh dual-tone design, a redesigned vertical dual-camera setup, and a larger secondary screen.</p>

<p>The Galaxy Watch4 series is expected to feature a more powerful chip <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/16/samsung-galaxy-watch4s-new-exynos-w920-chip-and-larger-storage-tipped/">called Exynos W920</a> and they are likely to arrive with 16GB of built-in storage. However, the major attraction of Watch4 lineup is that it will come with One UI Watch, which is a modified version of Wear OS. The Galaxy Buds 2 is expected to arrive with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/08/samsung-galaxy-buds-2-anc-support-leak/">support for Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)</a> and it <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/06/new-leak-show-the-galaxy-buds2-in-three-colors-will-have-anc-and-better-boost/">will arrive in three colors</a>. It is speculated that the shipments of the Watch4 series will begin on Aug. 11, while the Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 will <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/06/12/samsung-galaxy-z-fold-3-z-flip-3-watch-4-watch-active-4-launch-shipping-dates-leak/">begin on Aug. 27</a>.</p>

All the predecessor models dating back to 2018 were fueled by the Exynos 9110 chip. According to <em><a href="https://www.sammobile.com/news/galaxy-watch-4s-new-exynos-w920-chip-major-gains/">Sammobile</a></em>, the upcoming Galaxy Watch4 series will feature a new and more powerful chip. The publication<a href="https://www.sammobile.com/news/samsung-galaxy-watch-4-16gb-storage"> also claimed</a> that the Watch4 models will come with massive internal storage.</p>
<p>Predecessor models such as Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Watch Active 2, and Galaxy Watch3 were powered by the Exynos 9110 chip. The 5nm Exynos W920 chip that will be available on the Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic will offer 1.25 times faster processing and 8.8 times smoother graphics performance than the Exynos 9110. In addition, the Watch4 duo will be equipped with 1.5 GB of RAM. To recollect, the Galaxy Watch3 came with 1 GB of RAM.</p>
<p>Another report reveals that the Galaxy Watch4 will be arriving with 16GB of internal storage. It is two times more than the built-in storage of the Watch3.</p>
<p><figure id="attachment_397420" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-397420" style="width: 1919px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-397420" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch4-renders.png?x10805" alt="Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic renders" width="1919" height="1079" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch4-renders.png 1919w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch4-renders-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch4-renders-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch4-renders-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch4-renders-696x391.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch4-renders-1068x601.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch4-renders-747x420.png 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1919px) 100vw, 1919px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-397420" class="wp-caption-text">Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic renders by AndroidHaedlines</figcaption></figure></p>
<p>It is believed that Samsung is offering a more powerful processor and larger storage on the Galaxy Watch4 series because of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/05/18/samsung-galaxy-watch-4-confirmed-run-wear-os-one-ui-overlay/">new One UI Watch</a>, which the company has developed with Google as a customized version of the Wear OS.</p>
<p>One of the features of the One UI Watch is that it will let the Watch4 automatically download a smartwatch version of the app that is installed by the user on his/her phone. Hence, the 8 GB space that was made available on predecessor models will not be enough on the Watch4 lineup. The Exynos W920 chip will provide all the power that is needed to run such apps that users will get from the Play Store.</p>
<p>The Watch4 and Watch4 Classic are expected to debut along with Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3, and Galaxy Buds2 on Aug. 11. The Galaxy Watch4 <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/02/samsung-galaxy-watch4-watch4-classic-and-buds2-pricing-and-color-variants-leaked/">may start at 269 euros</a> and the Watch4 Classic may start at 369 euros.</p>

Now, Amazon Canada has jumped the gun by revealing the price of the new wearables.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-399887" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-4-40mm.jpg?x10805" alt="Galaxy Watch 4 40mm" width="1710" height="726" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-4-40mm.jpg 1710w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-4-40mm-300x127.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-4-40mm-768x326.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-4-40mm-1024x435.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-4-40mm-696x295.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-4-40mm-1068x453.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-4-40mm-989x420.jpg 989w" sizes="(max-width: 1710px) 100vw, 1710px" /></p>
<p>Although the retail store has now removed the prices, they have already become public knowledge. According to the listings, the Galaxy Watch 4 series will be available in four sizes &#8211; 40mm, 42mm, 44mm, and 46mm. The 40mm Galaxy Watch 4 will have a 1.19-inch screen and be priced at CAD 309.85 (~USD 249) while the 44mm version, also with a 1.36-inch screen, will sell for CAD 346.82 (~USD 277).</p>
<p>The listing also reveals some of the features of the Galaxy Watch 4 such as body composition analysis, Advanced Sleep, V02 Max, and blood oxygen monitoring. It also mentions NFC, GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. The 40mm version will have a 247mAh battery capacity.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-399888" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-Classic-46mm.jpg?x10805" alt="Galaxy Watch Classic 46mm" width="1655" height="811" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-Classic-46mm.jpg 1655w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-Classic-46mm-300x147.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-Classic-46mm-768x376.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-Classic-46mm-1024x502.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-Classic-46mm-324x160.jpg 324w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-Classic-46mm-533x261.jpg 533w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-Classic-46mm-696x341.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-Classic-46mm-1068x523.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Galaxy-Watch-Classic-46mm-857x420.jpg 857w" sizes="(max-width: 1655px) 100vw, 1655px" /></p>
<p>The 46mm Galaxy Watch 4 Classic has a 1.36-inch screen, a 361mAh battery, and it is priced at CAD 463.88 (~USD 371). There will also be a 42mm version of the Galaxy Watch Classic and it will be sold for CAD 427.73 (~$342). Both classic models have a rotating bezel.</p>
<p>Another important detail we spotted is that the listings say they are Google Wear OS smartwatches which means it is safe to say that the revamped wearable operating system will continue to be called <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/wear-os">Wear OS</a>. Surprisingly, there is no mention of Samsung&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/06/28/samsungs-new-smartwatches-will-come-with-one-ui-watch/">One UI Watch</a>.</p>
<p>The listings also reveal that the watches will be available on August 27.</p>

A fresh leak by <em><a href="https://www.mysmartprice.com/gear/samsung-galaxy-watch-4-watch-4-classic-galaxy-buds-2-price-colour-variants-revealed-launch/">My Smart Price</a> </em>has revealed the European pricing for these products.</p>
<p>The leak reveals that the Galaxy Watch4 will be available in <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/06/26/samsung-galaxy-watch4-new-renders-key-features-leaked-before-launch/">40mm and 44mm sizes</a>. The former will cost between 350 euros and 370 euros, whereas the latter will cost between 380 euros and 400 euros. It is expected to arrive in four colors such as black, silver, green, and gold.</p>
<p>On the other side, the Galaxy Watch4 Classic is expected to arrive in <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/01/samsung-galaxy-watch4-classic-renders-leaked-likely-to-arrive-in-three-sizes/">42mm, 44mm, and 46mm sizes</a>. <p>The Unpacked event that is rumored to be held in August may see the arrival of the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G. The Z Fold3 is likely to be the company’s first phone with an in-display camera and S Pen support.</p>

<p>Also, the publication claims that users will be able to use any 20mm strap with the Galaxy Watch4 Classic. The retail package of the device will include S/M and M/L silicone bands to suit different wrist sizes. It is likely that the company may separately sell leather or metal bands for the Watch4 Classic.</p>
<p>The display of the Watch4 Classic with a stainless-steel body will be shielded by Gorilla Glass DX, where the one with aluminum chassis will be equipped with Gorilla Glass DX+ for better resistance against scratches. The leaked renders show that the Watch4 Classic will be a 5ATM and MIL-STD-810G rated device. Readers can checkout more renders of the smartwatch by visiting <em>AndroidHeadlines. </em></p>
