<h2>Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 Specifications</h2>

<p>The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is Samsung’s high-end, rugged offering, positioned directly against the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/09/apple-watch-ultra-3-and-watch-se-3-launched-specs-price/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Apple Watch Ultra 3</a>. Available in a single 47mm size, it retains the shock-resistant titanium casing of its predecessor but manages to shave off 12% of its thickness.</p>

<p>The display is a 1.52-inch Sapphire Crystal Super AMOLED panel that now peaks at an intense 5,000 nits of brightness. Inside, Samsung has packed in a massive 800mAh battery, a 35% increase over the previous Ultra model.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1000" height="750" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-Ultra-2-1.jpg?x96852" alt="Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2" class="wp-image-746162" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-Ultra-2-1.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-Ultra-2-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-Ultra-2-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-Ultra-2-1-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-Ultra-2-1-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-Ultra-2-1-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-Ultra-2-1-265x198.jpg 265w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure></div>

<p>For outdoor and extreme sports tracking, the Ultra 2 includes a new Trail Run mode that monitors elevation and terrain impact, alongside a Nutrition Alert system that estimates sweat loss to provide hydration guidance.</p>

<p>It is fully dive-ready with IP69K, 10ATM, and EN13319 certifications, and includes the Ultra 2 Diving app that automatically tracks depth, dive duration, and water temperature underwater.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1000" height="750" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-1.jpg?x96852" alt="Samsung Galaxy Watch 9" class="wp-image-746163" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-1.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-1-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-1-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-1-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-1-265x198.jpg 265w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure></div>

<h2>Galaxy Watch 9 Specifications</h2>

<p>The mainstream Galaxy Watch 9 focuses on everyday health tracking and comfort. It comes in 40mm and 44mm sizes, featuring an aluminum case and a display that peaks at 3,000 nits. Battery capacities sit at 390mAh for the 40mm model and 445mAh for the 44mm version.</p>

<div style="border-left:4px solid #e63946;background:#f7f7f8;padding:12px 16px;margin:22px 0;border-radius:4px;"><span style="display:block;color:#e63946;text-transform:uppercase;font-size:12px;font-weight:700;letter-spacing:.5px;margin-bottom:4px;">Also Read</span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/07/15/best-smartwatches-with-longest-battery-life-in-july-2026/" style="font-weight:600;text-decoration:none;color:#1a1a1a;">Best Smartwatches with Longest Battery Life in July 2026</a></div>

<p>Both watches run on Wear OS 7 with Samsung’s One UI 9 Watch on top, and both feature 2GB of RAM (with 64GB of storage on the Ultra 2 and 32GB on the Watch 9).</p>

<p>They also share AI-powered health tracking features powered by Samsung’s BioActive sensor. These include an FDA-cleared Sleep Apnea detection feature, a Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load tracking for workout recovery, and a Hearing feature that monitors environmental noise exposure.</p>

<p>Ahead of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/07/08/samsungs-next-galaxy-foldables-arrive-on-july-22-but-early-reservation-perks-are-already-here/">July 22 official unveiling</a>, reliable leaker Evan Blass dropped what look like official promo images for both models. The regular Galaxy Watch 9 keeps things familiar: same dual-button layout as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/10/samsung-unveils-galaxy-watch-8-series-with-new-ai-tricks-and-health-tracking-features/">Watch 8</a>, just with some subtle refinements. It’ll come in four colors: white, graphite, green, and black, giving people more options to match their style. </p>

<p>The big internal change is the switch to Qualcomm’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/03/03/ualcomm-snapdragon-wear-elite-mwc-2026/">Snapdragon Wear Elite</a> chip. That should mean better efficiency, snappier performance, and stronger AI features compared to the predecessor&#8217;s Exynos W1000. Battery sizes are as follows: 390mAh on the 40mm version and 445mAh on the 44mm one.</p>

<p>On the health side, Samsung is really leaning into proactive wellness. There’s a new “Vitals” watch face that keeps an eye on your key metrics and alerts you if something looks off. They’ve also added a running coach that helps track your progress toward personal goals, plus improved sleep apnea detection. All of this feeds into better sleep and energy scores, which feels like a natural evolution of what Samsung has been building.</p>

<p>Galaxy Watch Ultra 2:</p>

<p>Then there’s the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. It keeps that tough, adventure-ready vibe with a 47mm titanium case that’s reportedly 12% thinner than the first one. The 1.5-inch OLED display (480&#215;480) can hit a blazing 5000 nits peak brightness, so it should look great even in direct sunlight. Durability-wise, it has 10ATM water resistance and IP69K certification.</p>

<p>Like the standard model, it runs on the Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset, with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The 800mAh battery sounds promising for all-day (and then some) use, and it’s a major upgrade over the 590mAh cell in the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2024) and Watch Ultra (2025).</p>

<p>For connectivity, you’ll get Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, and LTE options. Pricing is expected to land around €749.</p>

<p>While the regular Watch 9 feels like a refined daily driver, the Ultra 2 is clearly aimed at people who want a more rugged, premium experience.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a>’s Galaxy Watch 9 series is already generating some excitement, and fresh leaked renders give us a pretty clear idea of what to expect ahead of its likely summer launch.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="682" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/8f24b005-4df3-42f7-b11c-d8c0cce8566a-1024x682.webp?x96852" alt="" class="wp-image-742799" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/8f24b005-4df3-42f7-b11c-d8c0cce8566a-1024x682.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/8f24b005-4df3-42f7-b11c-d8c0cce8566a-300x200.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/8f24b005-4df3-42f7-b11c-d8c0cce8566a-768x512.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/8f24b005-4df3-42f7-b11c-d8c0cce8566a-696x464.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/8f24b005-4df3-42f7-b11c-d8c0cce8566a-1068x712.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/8f24b005-4df3-42f7-b11c-d8c0cce8566a-630x420.webp 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/8f24b005-4df3-42f7-b11c-d8c0cce8566a.webp 1154w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The images, which popped up yesterday, come from reliable tipster OnLeaks and were shared by Android Headlines. Overall, the design sticks close to the winning formula of recent models. It keeps that signature “squircle” shape, basically a rounded square that still feels nicely circular on the wrist.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="682" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/658eafa5-7ce7-479f-8e0e-e40037060bbb-1024x682.webp?x96852" alt="" class="wp-image-742803" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/658eafa5-7ce7-479f-8e0e-e40037060bbb-1024x682.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/658eafa5-7ce7-479f-8e0e-e40037060bbb-300x200.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/658eafa5-7ce7-479f-8e0e-e40037060bbb-768x512.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/658eafa5-7ce7-479f-8e0e-e40037060bbb-696x464.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/658eafa5-7ce7-479f-8e0e-e40037060bbb-1068x712.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/658eafa5-7ce7-479f-8e0e-e40037060bbb-630x420.webp 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/658eafa5-7ce7-479f-8e0e-e40037060bbb.webp 1154w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>On the back, the BioActive Sensor array looks mostly unchanged, which is fine since it already handles solid health tracking like ECG, blood pressure (where supported), body composition analysis, and detailed sleep monitoring.</p>

<p>You’ll have two size options again: a smaller 40mm version and a larger 44mm one. Color-wise, the 40mm is shown in Cream and Graphite (one render has a slight greenish vibe), while the 44mm comes in Silver and Graphite. Sporty silicone bands round out the practical, premium look Samsung has nailed lately.</p>

<p>The real headline here is under the hood. Samsung is finally moving away from its in-house Exynos chips to Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon Wear Elite platform, a 3nm chipset with a dedicated NPU for on-device AI. This should reduce power consumption, bring smarter gesture recognition, more personalized health insights, and snappier performance.</p>

<p>Everything lines up with expectations for a July 2026 Unpacked event, where the Watch 9 will probably launch alongside <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/06/05/galaxy-z-fold-8-fold-8-ultra-and-flip-8-case-images-all-but-confirm-samsungs-design-changes/">new foldables</a> and maybe the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/06/23/samsung-galaxy-watch-ultra-2-design-watch-9-leak/">Galaxy Watch Ultra 2</a>.</p>

<p>While we still don’t have full details on display specs, or pricing, the early leaks suggest Samsung’s approach this year: keep the comfortable, proven design and pour the innovation into software and AI features that actually make a difference for users.</p>

<p>It looks like a polished evolution rather than a major redesign. More concrete info should start rolling in over the next few weeks.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a> has shifted its smartwatch release strategy a bit over the last couple of years. In 2024, the company skipped the Classic model to introduce the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-watch-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Watch Ultra</a> alongside the standard <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-watch-7/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Watch 7</a>. Last year, it brought the Classic back for the Watch 8 series and released a minor refresh of the Ultra with more storage and a new color. Now, according to a recent code leak, it looks like the company is gearing up to launch full updates for all three models at once this summer.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="640" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-Ultra-1024x640.png?x96852" alt="Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra" class="wp-image-740547" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-Ultra-1024x640.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-Ultra-300x188.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-Ultra-768x480.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-Ultra-696x435.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-Ultra-1068x668.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-Ultra-672x420.png 672w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-Ultra.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Android Authority dug into a recent Google Wear OS app update and found three new codenames: Fresh 9, Wise 9, and Project X2. Based on last year&#8217;s naming scheme, these likely translate to the Galaxy Watch 9, Galaxy Watch 9 Classic, and a second-generation Galaxy Watch Ultra.</p>

<p>If accurate, releasing a Watch 9 Classic would break Samsung’s usual habit of skipping a year between Classic models. It’s a practical move for people who prefer the physical rotating bezel and don&#8217;t want to wait until 2027 for a hardware refresh.</p>

<p>Internally, the Watch 9 and 9 Classic are expected to reuse the Exynos W1000 chip from last year&#8217;s lineup. The Ultra 2, however, is rumored to switch things up by adopting <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/qualcomm/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Qualcomm’</a>s new Snapdragon Wear Elite processor.</p>

<p>The code also suggests these new watches will pick up a practical feature from the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/20/google-pixel-watch-4-launched-india/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pixel Watch 4</a>: raise-to-talk. According to a new string labeled &#8220;RttSettingsManager3pWearOs&#8221; Google is expanding the feature to third-party Wear OS devices. This would allow Galaxy Watch users to activate their voice assistant simply by lifting their wrist, skipping the wake word entirely.</p>

<p>Nothing is official yet, but we shouldn&#8217;t have to wait long to see what Samsung has planned. The company is expected to announce its new wearable lineup alongside its next batch of folding phones at an event rumored for July 22.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a> is just a few weeks away from hosting the first<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/02/samsung-galaxy-s26-ultra-design-specs-leak/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Galaxy Unpacked event </a>of 2026. At the event, the company will announce new Galaxy S26 phones, including the vanilla, Plus, and Ultra models.</p>

<p>After that, Samsung typically waits until late Q3 to unveil its other flagship products. However, early signs of what’s coming next are already surfacing on the web.</p>

<p>Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 series and Watch Ultra 2 confirmed by this global certification</p>

<p>According to <em>Smartprix</em>, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+ have appeared in the GSMA IMEI database months ahead of launch.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="530" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S12-Ultra-and-S12-Plus-IMEI-certification.jpg?x96852" alt="" class="wp-image-725667" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S12-Ultra-and-S12-Plus-IMEI-certification.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S12-Ultra-and-S12-Plus-IMEI-certification-300x177.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S12-Ultra-and-S12-Plus-IMEI-certification-768x452.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S12-Ultra-and-S12-Plus-IMEI-certification-696x410.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S12-Ultra-and-S12-Plus-IMEI-certification-713x420.jpg 713w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure>

<p>The models are listed as SM-X946B for the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and SM-X846B for the Galaxy Tab S12+. Notably, the database makes no reference to a standard Galaxy Tab S12.</p>

<p>The Galaxy Tab S11 series skipped the Plus model in favor of the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-tab-s11/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Tab S11</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-tab-s11-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">S11 Ultra </a>combo. It’s possible that Samsung is once again tweaking its naming strategy this year by launching only the Plus and Ultra variants. That said, the regular Tab S12 could still show up in the IMEI database at a later date.</p>

<h2><strong>Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 Ultra and Watch 9 also make it to the certification</strong></h2>

<p>Tablets aren’t the only Samsung products appearing early. The GSMA database has also added entries for two new smartwatches: the Galaxy Watch 9 with model number SM-L345U, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, listed as SM-L716U.</p>

<p>As usual, IMEI listings don’t reveal specifications or features; however, they do confirm that Samsung’s next-generation products are already moving through the early stages of launch preparation.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="530" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-and-Watch-Ultra-2-IMEI.jpg?x96852" alt="" class="wp-image-725668" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-and-Watch-Ultra-2-IMEI.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-and-Watch-Ultra-2-IMEI-300x177.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-and-Watch-Ultra-2-IMEI-768x452.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-and-Watch-Ultra-2-IMEI-696x410.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-and-Watch-Ultra-2-IMEI-713x420.jpg 713w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>If the brand sticks to its usual release patterns, these listings offer a meaningful clue about timing. Historically, there’s often a six- to seven-month gap between a device appearing in the IMEI database and its official announcement.</p>

<p>Based on that timeline, the Galaxy Tab S12 series—along with the Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2—are likely candidates for Samsung’s second Galaxy Unpacked event, which typically takes place in August or September.</p>
