<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung </a>is gearing up for a packed 2026 product cycle, with multiple flagship launches slated across the year. While the company hasn’t officially confirmed dates yet, a recent tweet has offered us a full roadmap of all the big 2026 announcements. So let&#8217;s check it out.</p>

<h2>Early 2026: Samsung&#8217;s Galaxy Unpack 2026</h2>

<p>The first major date in Samsung’s 2026 calendar looks to be 25th February 2026, which is when the Galaxy Unpacked event will take place. This will have the South Korean tech giant unveil its highly anticipated Galaxy S26 lineup, consisting of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/01/19/samsung-galaxy-s26-galaxy-s26-full-specs-revealed-with-flagship-exynos-snapdragon-chips/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S26</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/01/19/samsung-galaxy-s26-galaxy-s26-full-specs-revealed-with-flagship-exynos-snapdragon-chips/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S26+</a>, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/04/heres-the-samsung-galaxy-s26-ultra-in-all-four-colors/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S26 Ultra</a>.</p>

<p>While it is unclear if the brand will announce other products during the event, February could likely include the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/01/26/new-galaxy-buds-4-pro-buds-4-near-global-launch-samsungs-premium-tws-get-certified/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro</a> launches as Samsung&#8217;s flagship TWS, along with the new Galaxy Book 6 series that should be powered by the next-gen processors.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="682" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-purple-1024x682.png?x10805" alt="Galaxy S26 Ultra - Cobalt Violet" class="wp-image-725485" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-purple-1024x682.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-purple-300x200.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-purple-768x512.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-purple-696x464.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-purple-1068x712.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-purple-630x420.png 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-purple.png 1340w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra in Cobalt Violet</figcaption></figure></div>

<h2>Mid 2026: Galaxy Z Series &amp; More</h2>

<p>Samsung’s second big event of 2026 is expected around July. The company is expected to unveil its latest foldable devices, like the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and potentially a Galaxy Z Flip 8 FE model. This would continue its strategy of refreshing both premium and affordable foldables.</p>

<p>Alongside these, Samsung could also roll out updates to its new Galaxy Watch lineup that may include the top end Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and the Galaxy Watch 9 series. Apart from this, the tip from <em><a href="https://x.com/_TheJasonC/status/2018743996198404409" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Jason C.</a></em> on X (formerly Twitter) also points to the Galaxy Tab S12 series debuting in the middle of the year. Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report, so take this news with a pinch of salt for now.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a> is just a few weeks away from hosting the first<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/02/samsung-galaxy-s26-ultra-design-specs-leak/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Galaxy Unpacked event </a>of 2026. At the event, the company will announce new Galaxy S26 phones, including the vanilla, Plus, and Ultra models.</p>

<p>After that, Samsung typically waits until late Q3 to unveil its other flagship products. However, early signs of what’s coming next are already surfacing on the web.</p>

<p>Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 series and Watch Ultra 2 confirmed by this global certification</p>

<p>According to <em>Smartprix</em>, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+ have appeared in the GSMA IMEI database months ahead of launch.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="530" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S12-Ultra-and-S12-Plus-IMEI-certification.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-725667" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S12-Ultra-and-S12-Plus-IMEI-certification.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S12-Ultra-and-S12-Plus-IMEI-certification-300x177.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S12-Ultra-and-S12-Plus-IMEI-certification-768x452.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S12-Ultra-and-S12-Plus-IMEI-certification-696x410.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S12-Ultra-and-S12-Plus-IMEI-certification-713x420.jpg 713w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure>

<p>The models are listed as SM-X946B for the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and SM-X846B for the Galaxy Tab S12+. Notably, the database makes no reference to a standard Galaxy Tab S12.</p>

<p>The Galaxy Tab S11 series skipped the Plus model in favor of the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-tab-s11/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Tab S11</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-tab-s11-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">S11 Ultra </a>combo. It’s possible that Samsung is once again tweaking its naming strategy this year by launching only the Plus and Ultra variants. That said, the regular Tab S12 could still show up in the IMEI database at a later date.</p>

<h2><strong>Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 Ultra and Watch 9 also make it to the certification</strong></h2>

<p>Tablets aren’t the only Samsung products appearing early. The GSMA database has also added entries for two new smartwatches: the Galaxy Watch 9 with model number SM-L345U, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, listed as SM-L716U.</p>

<p>As usual, IMEI listings don’t reveal specifications or features; however, they do confirm that Samsung’s next-generation products are already moving through the early stages of launch preparation.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="530" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-and-Watch-Ultra-2-IMEI.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-725668" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-and-Watch-Ultra-2-IMEI.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-and-Watch-Ultra-2-IMEI-300x177.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-and-Watch-Ultra-2-IMEI-768x452.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-and-Watch-Ultra-2-IMEI-696x410.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-9-and-Watch-Ultra-2-IMEI-713x420.jpg 713w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>If the brand sticks to its usual release patterns, these listings offer a meaningful clue about timing. Historically, there’s often a six- to seven-month gap between a device appearing in the IMEI database and its official announcement.</p>

<p>Based on that timeline, the Galaxy Tab S12 series—along with the Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2—are likely candidates for Samsung’s second Galaxy Unpacked event, which typically takes place in August or September.</p>

<p>The CES 2025 event is displaying the latest technology developments by brands, and among them is Samsung Display. The company unveiled a new MicroLED screen designed for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/cat/wearable/">smartwatches</a> that can reach crazy peak brightness. For perspective, as of now, no commercially available smartwatches use MicroLED displays.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="573" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-MicroLED-display-1024x573.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-667611" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-MicroLED-display-1024x573.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-MicroLED-display-300x168.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-MicroLED-display-768x430.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-MicroLED-display-1536x859.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-MicroLED-display-696x389.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-MicroLED-display-1068x597.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-MicroLED-display-751x420.jpg 751w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-MicroLED-display.jpg 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The prototype that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a> is showing reaches 4000 nits of peak brightness, or 33 percent brighter than the OLED screen in the Galaxy Watch Ultra.</p>

<h2>This prototype with MicroLED matches Galaxy Watch Ultra in pixel density</h2>

<p>The display Samsung showed off measures 2.1&#8243; in size and has a resolution of 418 x 540 pixels. So the pixel density of the MicroLED display is 326ppi. For reference, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-watch-ultra/">Galaxy Watch Ultra</a>&#8216;s display panel packs a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels and has a pixel density of 327ppi. This is significant, because, the pixel density of MicroLED screens was not as good as that of OLED screens in the past. It&#8217;s good to see Samsung has managed to overcome the challenges of using them in small devices like smartwatches.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-with-MicroLED-display-1024x576.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-667610" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-with-MicroLED-display-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-with-MicroLED-display-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-with-MicroLED-display-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-with-MicroLED-display-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-with-MicroLED-display-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-with-MicroLED-display-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-with-MicroLED-display-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Samsung-smartwatch-with-MicroLED-display.jpg 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>MicroLED displays, in theory, offer much longer lifespan than OLED screens while keeping all the advantages that are already possessed by OLED screens. Similar to OLED screens, MicroLED screens are also self-luminous in nature and can provide pure black, infinite contrast, and wide viewing angle. Moreover, MicroLED screens are also much faster in terms of response speeds, higher in energy efficiency, and can be used in a wide temperature range and hence do not suffer from thermal damage.</p>

<p>According to a previous report from MICROLED-info, <strong>Samsung is already working on a Galaxy Watch with a MicroLED display, targeting a release in 2025.</strong> However, Samsung isn&#8217;t the only one working on offering smartwatches with MicroLED screens. Garmin is reportedly working on incorporating MicroLED displays into its upcoming Fenix 8 series.</p>

<p>Apple has also been researching MicroLED technology for its Apple Watch line. The initial plan was to launch this display technology in the Apple Watch Ultra by 2025, but the latest reports indicate that it <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/02/06/apple-micro-led-watch-faces-delays-supply-chain-issues/">may be delayed</a>, and the product may hit the market in 2026.</p>
