The device will have the Adreno 642L GPU on board. Other than that, the listing reveals that the Galaxy XCover Pro 2 will come with at least 6GB of RAM and will run Android 12 based OneUI out of the box.

Talking about the devices’ performance, it has scored 766 points in Geekbench 5’s single-core test and has managed a score of 2722 points in the multi-core test. Currently, the information available about the upcoming rugged device is limited, but we expect more specs to be revealed soon when the phone visits other certification sites.

According to SamMobile, Samsung is working on a new rugged smartphone with model number SM-G736B. The publication suggests that this phone will go official as Galaxy XCover 2 with support for 5G connectivity.

If this is true, then the device will be the first-ever 5G smartphone in the Galaxy XCover lineup. All the models released so far, including last year’s Galaxy XCover 5, are limited to 4G LTE.

Unfortunately, nothing else is known about this phone. However, the publication suggests some features based on its predecessor.

First and foremost, the handset may arrive with a removable battery like other Galaxy XCover devices. Secondly, it could be based on Galaxy A53 as its predecessor shared so much with Galaxy A51.

Therefore, Samsung could equip the Galaxy XCover Pro 2 with its own Exynos 1280 SoC. Finally, the handset might also be eligible for 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates.
