<p>The Galaxy Z Fold7 arrives slimmer than ever at 8.9mm when folded, featuring a powerful 200MP camera and a large 8-inch AMOLED display. The Z Flip7, with its 4.1-inch FlexWindow, introduces a new 50MP FlexCam for improved shots even when the device is partially folded. Meanwhile, the more affordable Z Flip7 FE offers the core foldable experience at a lower price point, appealing to budget-conscious users. <p>On the smartwatch front, the Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic bring advanced health tracking features, including a new Antioxidant Index and AI-powered insights. The Watch8 comes in two sizes—40mm and 44mm—while the Watch8 Classic is available in a larger 46mm design.</p>

<p>To bring these devices closer to users, Samsung has also set up Galaxy Experience Spaces in cities like London, Dubai, and Seoul, allowing visitors to get hands-on with the new tech. A refreshed store locator tool on Samsung’s website makes it easy to find the nearest retail location.</p>

<p>Samsung’s July 25 launch marks another step forward in blending foldable innovation with smart AI features. With strong early interest and a bold design direction, the company is hoping to reshape how users interact with smartphones and wearables.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung">Samsung’s</a> newest foldables, namely the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE have stirred up strong consumer interest, according to internal figures shared by the company. The South Korean tech giant revealed that these seventh-generation foldable smartphones secured 210,000 pre-orders in just 48 hours in India. This marks a new high for Samsung’s foldables, nearly matching the record set earlier this year by the Galaxy S25 series.</p>

<p>Samsung attributed the overwhelming response to growing interest among young Indian consumers in premium devices with cutting-edge features. Priced at <a href="https://geni.us/4NOP6" rel="sponsored nofollow">Rs 1,74,999</a>, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is available in Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, and Jet Black, while the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which is available for Rs 1,09,999, comes in Coral Red, Jet Black, and Blue Shadow. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, which starts at <a href="https://geni.us/SX3z6W" rel="sponsored nofollow">Rs 89,999</a>, is available in Black and White.</p>

<p>These new foldables are now open for pre-booking across major online platforms and offline retail outlets. As part of the launch offers, buyers can upgrade to the 512GB variant while paying the price of the 256GB model. Additionally, all three devices are eligible for up to 24 months of no-cost EMI, making the purchase easier on the pocket.</p>

Its 8-inch AMOLED 2X inner display is brighter and larger than before, paired with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a 200-megapixel main camera. Galaxy Z Flip 7, on the other hand, packs a compact 4.1-inch FlexWindow, a 6.9-inch main screen, and a 4,300mAh battery, all in a slimmer, 188g frame. But instead of excitement, one of Samsung’s trade-in offers has left many scratching their heads — and it&#8217;s actually a downgrade disguised as a deal.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="522" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-1024x522.png?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE" class="wp-image-696182" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-1024x522.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-300x153.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-768x392.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-696x355.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-1068x545.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-823x420.png 823w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE.png 1245w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE</figcaption></figure>

<p>The controversy centers around Samsung’s trade-in offer for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-6/">Galaxy Z Flip6</a> owners. Through the deal, they can trade in their one-year-old Flip6 and get a $500 credit toward the Flip7 FE, effectively bringing its price down to $399. But here’s the catch — the Flip7 FE is, by most accounts, a stripped-down version of the Flip6. It swaps the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Samsung’s inferior Exynos 2400, cuts the RAM from 12GB to 8GB, and makes no major upgrades to the display or design.</p>

</figure>

<p>Aside from a minor Bluetooth upgrade, it’s hard to see what Flip6 owners would actually gain — especially for the extra $399 they’d have to pay.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="874" height="798" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/z-flip-7-fe-trade-in-deal.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-697163" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/z-flip-7-fe-trade-in-deal.png 874w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/z-flip-7-fe-trade-in-deal-300x274.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/z-flip-7-fe-trade-in-deal-768x701.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/z-flip-7-fe-trade-in-deal-696x635.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/z-flip-7-fe-trade-in-deal-460x420.png 460w" sizes="(max-width: 874px) 100vw, 874px" /></figure></div>

<p>To make matters more confusing, Samsung is offering a $600 trade-in credit toward the regular <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7/">Galaxy Z Flip7</a>, bringing its price to $499. The standard Flip7 comes with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/09/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7-z-flip-7-fe-launch/">meaningful upgrades</a> — a larger 4.1-inch FlexWindow cover display, a bigger 6.9-inch main screen, a 4,300mAh battery (up from 4000 mAh), and Samsung DeX support — making it a clear step up rather than a sidestep.</p>

<p>While the Flip7 FE does promise extended software support, it’s hard to see that making sense for users thinking of an upgrade less than a year after buying the Flip6.</p>

<p>The deal runs in the US until July 24, 2025, with pre-order incentives likely to drop after that. If you’re considering a trade-in, this might be one offer worth thinking twice about.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a>’s latest budget foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, promises a more affordable entry point into the world of foldable phones. But while the $899 price tag may sound appealing, there&#8217;s a catch: most US carriers aren&#8217;t offering it. So buyers will miss out on the usual carrier deals and trade-in offers that often make these devices even more accessible.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="522" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-1024x522.png?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE" class="wp-image-696182" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-1024x522.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-300x153.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-768x392.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-696x355.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-1068x545.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-823x420.png 823w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE.png 1245w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE</figcaption></figure></div>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/09/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7-z-flip-7-fe-launch/">Unveiled yesterday</a>, during Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event, the Flip7 FE is positioned as a lower-cost alternative to the $1,099 <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/09/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7-z-flip-7-fe-launch/">Galaxy Z Flip7</a>. It shares much of its design and hardware with last year’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-6/">Flip 6</a>—such as a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED main display, a 3.4-inch cover screen, a 50MP main camera, and a 4,000mAh battery. It runs on Samsung’s Exynos 2400e chip, offering enough power for everyday use without pushing flagship-level performance.</p>

<p>But unlike the Flip7 and Fold7, which are widely available through Verizon, AT&amp;T, and T-Mobile with monthly financing, the Flip7 FE has been left out of major carrier lineups. As of launch, only Boost Mobile and Xfinity Mobile are stocking it, with some promotional offers tied to their postpaid plans.</p>

<p>Samsung’s own US website lists the Flip7 FE as an unlocked-only device, and the same goes for retailers like Best Buy and Amazon. That means if you&#8217;re interested in picking one up, you’ll either need to pay the full $899 upfront or use Samsung’s own installment financing.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="885" height="721" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/galaxy-z-flip-7-fe-unlocked-listing-1.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-696359" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/galaxy-z-flip-7-fe-unlocked-listing-1.png 885w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/galaxy-z-flip-7-fe-unlocked-listing-1-300x244.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/galaxy-z-flip-7-fe-unlocked-listing-1-768x626.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/galaxy-z-flip-7-fe-unlocked-listing-1-696x567.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/galaxy-z-flip-7-fe-unlocked-listing-1-516x420.png 516w" sizes="(max-width: 885px) 100vw, 885px" /></figure></div>

<p>It’s an unusual move for a phone meant to be budget-friendly—especially in a market where a significant percentage of consumers rely on carrier deals to spread out the cost of new devices. The decision may reflect carriers&#8217; hesitation to support a sub-$1,000 foldable with older internals or their preference to push customers toward pricier flagships with higher margins.</p>

<p>Still, the Flip7 FE has a few things going for it: it supports Galaxy AI features, ships with One UI 8 based on Android 16, and is eligible for seven years of updates—matching Samsung’s top-tier phones in long-term software support.</p>

<p>But without carrier support, its reach in the US could be limited. For those willing to go unlocked, pre-orders are now live <a href="https://www.samsung.com/us/smartphones/galaxy-z-flip7/buy/">through Samsung</a> and select retailers.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung </a>has officially unveiled two new clamshell foldables alongside the flagship <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/09/galaxy-z-fold-7-is-official-samsung-thinnest-fold/4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Z Fold 7</a>. The flagship <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Z Flip 7</a> is the premium model with various upgrades over its predecessor, while the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-fe/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE</a> is the first of its kind value value-focused flip phone from Samsung.</p>

<h3>Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7</h3>

<p>The South Korean tech giant has made a few small but noticeable changes to the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Samsung&#8217;s older Galaxy Z Flip 6 was one of the smaller flip phones with a smaller 6.7-inch main folding display. But the Galaxy Z Flip 7 bumps it up to a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and 2600 nits of peak brightness. </p>

<p>Even the cover screen is getting taller as well, with a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow screen that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. This is finally an edge-to-edge screen like other modern flip phones. However, the cover panel only has a 1048 x 948 pixel resolution and either a 60Hz/120Hz refresh rate.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1000" height="555" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7" class="wp-image-696181" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-300x167.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-768x426.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-696x385.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-757x420.jpg 757w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>On the design front, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 measures 13.7mm when folded (6.5mm unfolded) and weighs relatively light at 188 grams. While this is thicker than the Z Flip 6, the hinge has gotten thinner and more durable thanks to the new Armor FlexHinge and Armor Aluminum Frame. You also get an IP48 rating for water and dust resistance.</p>

<p>Samsung has made a major shift for the first time with its foldable smartphone with the Flip models. Snapdragon had powered all Samsung foldables so far, but the Galaxy Z Flip 7 skips the Snapdragon 8 Elite on the Z Fold 7 with the Exynos 2500 SoC that could disappoint some fans of Samsung&#8217;s flip phones. </p>

<p>The battery is getting a bump from 4,000mAh from the Z Fold 6 to a 4,300mAh cell on the Z Fold 7, although the fast charging rate is still 25W (with 15W wireless charging). For optics, the rear has a 50MP main camera (OIS, F/1.8, 1.0μm) that is paired with a 12MP ultra wide angle lens (F/2.2, 1.12μm), with the front housing a 10MP selfie shooter (F2.2, 1.12μm). Other notable features include Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, stereo speaker with Dolby Atmos, WiFi 7, Android 16 OS based One UI 8 custom skin out of the box, and Galaxy AI. </p>

<h3>Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE</h3>

<p>The popular Fan Edition series has finally made its way to foldables, bringing cutting edge tech with a more affordable price tag. Samsung&#8217;s Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is a new entry in the Z Flip family. It measures 14.9mm when folded (6.9mm when unfolded) and weighs 187 grams. For protection against the elements, there is an IP48 rating.</p>

<p>Similar to the Z Flip 6, the FE model has a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex main display with an FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, along with a 3.4-inch HD Super AMOLED cover panel with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and a 60Hz refresh rate.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="522" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-1024x522.png?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE" class="wp-image-696182" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-1024x522.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-300x153.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-768x392.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-696x355.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-1068x545.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-823x420.png 823w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE.png 1245w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Samsung equips the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE with the older Exynos 2400 SoC. It is powered by a 4,000mAh battery pack that supports 25W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. The camera system between the regular Z Flip 7 and FE variant is identical. Other notable features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, NFC, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and Galaxy AI.</p>

<h3>Pricing and Availability</h3>

<p>Samsung&#8217;s new Galaxy Z Flip 7 was announced in multiple color options, which include Blue Shadow, Jet-Black, Coral-red and Mint, but the Mint variant is exclusive to Samsung&#8217;s official website. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE arrives in just Black and White. The brand has started pre-orders for these devices, with the first sale kicking off on July 25. </p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a>&#8216;s 7th-generation foldables are only hours away from their big reveal, and some leaked marketing materials have already confirmed key details. While most of the information in the alleged promo content aligns with earlier leaks and rumors, there’s a surprising twist — and it’s about the Flip7 FE. But for the uninitiated, let’s go through the basics first.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="350" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bafkreic57cqvm6rstvaeljhsr3y7ryfjrynwakm47qs534guiegspaat6a-1024x350.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-696037" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bafkreic57cqvm6rstvaeljhsr3y7ryfjrynwakm47qs534guiegspaat6a-1024x350.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bafkreic57cqvm6rstvaeljhsr3y7ryfjrynwakm47qs534guiegspaat6a-300x103.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bafkreic57cqvm6rstvaeljhsr3y7ryfjrynwakm47qs534guiegspaat6a-768x262.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bafkreic57cqvm6rstvaeljhsr3y7ryfjrynwakm47qs534guiegspaat6a-1536x525.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bafkreic57cqvm6rstvaeljhsr3y7ryfjrynwakm47qs534guiegspaat6a-696x238.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bafkreic57cqvm6rstvaeljhsr3y7ryfjrynwakm47qs534guiegspaat6a-1068x365.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bafkreic57cqvm6rstvaeljhsr3y7ryfjrynwakm47qs534guiegspaat6a-1229x420.jpg 1229w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bafkreic57cqvm6rstvaeljhsr3y7ryfjrynwakm47qs534guiegspaat6a.jpg 1750w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>According to the alleged marketing material, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7/">Galaxy Z Flip7</a> packs “the thinnest bezel on a Galaxy Z Flip to date,” reaffirming a recently leaked <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/05/galaxy-z-flip7-real-life-image-shows-off-corner-to-corner-display-with-shockingly-thin-bezels/">real-life image</a> of the phone. It features a 4.1-inch cover display, per another leaked “official Samsung promo” shared by tipster Ronald Quandt. The promo refers to it as an “Infinity FlexWindow.”</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="483" height="392" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Screenshot-2025-07-08-234705.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-696039" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Screenshot-2025-07-08-234705.png 483w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Screenshot-2025-07-08-234705-300x243.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 483px) 100vw, 483px" /></figure></div>

<p>Now, about that twist — the same promo material says the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, which is expected to be a rebranded <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-6/">Z Flip6</a> powered by the Exynos 2400, also includes a 4.1-inch cover display. The Flip6 had a 3.4-inch cover screen. If this holds true, the Flip7 FE could become a very appealing option for Galaxy fans, offering nearly identical hardware at a lower cost — save for the chipset swap from the Flip7’s Exynos 2500 to the FE’s Exynos 2400. Still, take it with a pinch of salt, as it sounds almost too good to be true. Most previous leaks and renders hinted at a Flip6-like design for the FE.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="856" height="577" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bafkreicley3w6nx4hcsccet43v45obi7ghgkuxh65qbvwtkpbndrt4kpgi.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-696044" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bafkreicley3w6nx4hcsccet43v45obi7ghgkuxh65qbvwtkpbndrt4kpgi.jpg 856w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bafkreicley3w6nx4hcsccet43v45obi7ghgkuxh65qbvwtkpbndrt4kpgi-300x202.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bafkreicley3w6nx4hcsccet43v45obi7ghgkuxh65qbvwtkpbndrt4kpgi-768x518.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bafkreicley3w6nx4hcsccet43v45obi7ghgkuxh65qbvwtkpbndrt4kpgi-696x469.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bafkreicley3w6nx4hcsccet43v45obi7ghgkuxh65qbvwtkpbndrt4kpgi-623x420.jpg 623w" sizes="(max-width: 856px) 100vw, 856px" /></figure>

<p>The Z Flip7 is said to feature a 4,300mAh battery, while the Flip7 FE sticks to a 4,000mAh unit — a reasonable trade-off. The standard Flip7 will reportedly come in three premium colors: Blue Shadow, Jet Black, and Silver Shadow. Meanwhile, the FE version will keep it simple with White and Black options.</p>

<p>Both phones are also set to feature the latest AI innovations from Samsung and Google. One of the alleged promo slides reads: “Don’t search, ask! Google Gemini gives you real-time answers to whatever you’re looking for.”</p>

<p>That said, we’ll have to wait until the official event for more concrete details. In the meantime, check out the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/08/galaxy-z-fold7s-alleged-marketing-material-confirms-specs-but-disappoints-many-with-one-detail/">details about the Z Fold7</a> here. </p>

</figure>

<p>According to a new leak (<a href="https://www.sammobile.com/news/us-buyers-galaxy-z-fold-7-flip-7-fe-exynos-vs-snapdragon/">via Sammobile</a>), both the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7/">Galaxy Z Flip7</a> and the more affordable <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7-fe/">Z Flip7 FE</a> will be powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos processors — even in the US. This marks a big shift in Samsung’s chip strategy — the Flip7 and Flip7 FE are not only the first foldables to use Exynos, but also among the very few Galaxy flagships in the US to feature Samsung’s own chips.</p>

<p>The flagship Flip7 is expected to run on the new 3nm Exynos 2500 chip, while the FE version <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/12/galaxy-z-flip-7-fe-benchmark-reveals-flagship-exynos-chip-rumors-say-otherwise/">could feature the Exynos 2400</a>, the same chip rumored for the Galaxy S24 FE.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold7 — Samsung’s most premium foldable — is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/12/galaxy-z-fold-7s-fcc-listing-confirms-snapdragon-8-elite-but-theres-one-caveat/">confirmed</a> to continue using the Snapdragon (Snapdragon 8 Elite), keeping its top-tier performance intact.</p>

<p>While SamMobile suggests that the Exynos 2500 might be a better fit for the Flip7 than the Snapdragon 8 Elite—given thermal concerns on the slim Galaxy S25 Edge—this theory runs into a snag: the Z Fold7 is actually thinner than the Flip7. That makes the speculation less convincing. It&#8217;s more likely that Samsung’s decision to use Exynos in the Flip7 is a cost-saving move, especially since the Flip doesn’t demand the same peak performance as the larger Fold. As for the Flip7 FE, the Exynos 2400 is still a highly capable chip and could help Samsung keep the price competitive.</p>

<p>Benchmark results for the Exynos 2500 suggest <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/22/galaxy-z-flip7-surfaces-on-geekbench-with-exynos-2500-outperforms-qualcomms-flagship-from-2023/">notable performance gains</a> over the previous generation, but real-world thermal performance is still unknown. The Flip7 is also tipped to come with bigger screens — a 4-inch outer display and a 6.85-inch foldable panel — offering more space for apps and multitasking.</p>

<p>Samsung has already opened pre-reservations on its website, with up to $1,150 in trade-in savings and a $50 credit for early sign-ups.</p>

<p>If true, the use of Exynos in US-bound models could be a bold cost-saving strategy, especially with Samsung confident in the chips’ performance. Whether this gamble pays off — and how US customers react — will become clear as the phones hit the shelves.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a>’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip7 and its more affordable sibling, the Z Flip7 FE, have leaked in full ahead of their official debut on July 9. New images give us a clear look at the design and color options for both models, and it turns out that the design changes to the more expensive model aren&#8217;t limited to the cover display.</p>

<h2>Galaxy Z Flip7 and Flip7 FE design and colors revealed</h2>

<p>Leaked press renders, shared by tipster <em>Evan Blass</em>, show the Z Flip7 in three colors: Blue Shadow, Jet Black, and a striking Coral Red. One of the standout upgrades is the larger 4-inch cover screen, which now wraps around the dual rear cameras. This is a noticeable step up from the 3.4-inch display on last year’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-6/">Z Flip6</a>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="239" height="367" data-id="693850" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip719_36e720c501.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693850" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip719_36e720c501.jpg 239w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip719_36e720c501-195x300.jpg 195w" sizes="(max-width: 239px) 100vw, 239px" /></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="240" height="365" data-id="693851" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7c72_4a4ce6eea4.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693851" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7c72_4a4ce6eea4.jpg 240w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7c72_4a4ce6eea4-197x300.jpg 197w" sizes="(max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px" /></figure>
</figure>

<p>The updated design could allow the Z Flip7 to run full Android apps on its cover display—though Samsung hasn’t confirmed this yet. A closer look at the renders suggests the Flip7 is slimmer than its predecessor. If the scaling is accurate, it should measure around 6.4 to 6.5mm when unfolded, as <a href="https://www.notebookcheck.net/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-appears-in-all-colors-on-allegedly-official-product-images.1042472.0.html">noted</a> by Notebookcheck. For comparison, the Flip6 comes in at 6.9mm when unfolded. Under the hood, the Flip7 is expected to feature the Exynos 2500 chipset, paired with a 4,174mAh battery and 25W charging.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="661" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7z_ca9e22eb98-1024x661.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693854" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7z_ca9e22eb98-1024x661.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7z_ca9e22eb98-300x194.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7z_ca9e22eb98-768x496.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7z_ca9e22eb98-696x449.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7z_ca9e22eb98-1068x689.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7z_ca9e22eb98-651x420.jpg 651w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7z_ca9e22eb98.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>From left to right: Z Flip7, Z Flip7 FE, and Z Flip6</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE retains the design of the Z Flip6 and is rumored to be powered by the Exynos 2400e. While it&#8217;s still very early to comment on the real-world performance (as it relies on model-specific performance tuning), you can check out the Geekbench <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/22/galaxy-z-flip7-surfaces-on-geekbench-with-exynos-2500-outperforms-qualcomms-flagship-from-2023/">listings of the Flip7</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/26/galaxy-z-flip-7-geekbench-exynos-2500/">Flip7 FE</a> to get a rough idea of what to expect.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped">
<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="362" height="573" data-id="693855" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7_FE27_120d26a0cd.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693855" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7_FE27_120d26a0cd.jpg 362w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7_FE27_120d26a0cd-190x300.jpg 190w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7_FE27_120d26a0cd-265x420.jpg 265w" sizes="(max-width: 362px) 100vw, 362px" /></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="366" height="573" data-id="693856" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7_FE2_5d00d69e03.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693856" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7_FE2_5d00d69e03.jpg 366w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7_FE2_5d00d69e03-192x300.jpg 192w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Samsung_Galaxy_Z_Flip7_FE2_5d00d69e03-268x420.jpg 268w" sizes="(max-width: 366px) 100vw, 366px" /></figure>
</figure>

<p>The FE model is expected to feature a 3,700mAh battery—slightly smaller than the 4,000mAh one in the Z Flip6. Combined with a less power-efficient Exynos chip instead of a Snapdragon processor, battery life may disappoint some users. The camera setup also seems modest, with a 12MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP front camera. Still, if the price lands around $750 as rumored, it could be a solid option for those wanting to try a foldable without breaking the bank.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a>’s next big Unpacked event is shaping up to be a major showcase for its foldable lineup — and now, we may know exactly when it’s happening. According to a new leak, Samsung&#8217;s 7th generation foldables will be unveiled in the second week of July, with New York likely serving as the venue.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/maxresdefault-1-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693248" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/maxresdefault-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/maxresdefault-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/maxresdefault-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/maxresdefault-1-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/maxresdefault-1-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/maxresdefault-1-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/maxresdefault-1.jpg 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Tipster <a href="https://x.com/evleaks/status/1935396700908409256">@evleaks</a> shared the potential date and time — 10 AM EDT on July 9 — and it lines up with Samsung’s usual summer Unpacked schedule. Last year’s foldables were revealed on July 10 in Paris, so a similar early-July launch would make sense.</p>

<p>Fueling the speculation further, Samsung recently <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/16/samsung-may-have-revealed-unpacked-date-for-z-fold-7-flip-7-and-flip-7-fe/">announced</a> a series of Galaxy Health running events kicking off July 13 in New York, possibly tied to the debut of the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, which are expected to be part of the Unpacked announcements.</p>

<p>As for the foldables themselves, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is rumored to feature a slimmer profile — rumored to be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/19/5-big-changes-coming-to-the-samsung-galaxy-z-fold-7/">as thin as 4.1mm</a> when unfolded — along with a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/25/galaxy-z-fold7-real-life-image-reaffirms-200mp-main-camera/">200MP main camera</a> and Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. The Galaxy Z Flip 7, on the other hand, could pack the Exynos 2500 in certain regions.</p>

<p>A new addition to the lineup could be the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE — a budget-friendly foldable reportedly priced around $750, with scaled-down specs such as an Exynos 2400e or Exynos 2400 chip and 12MP dual cameras.</p>

<p>All three devices are expected to ship with One UI 8 based on Android 16, bringing along a new batch of Galaxy AI features and improved generative tools.</p>

<p>The company could confirm the Unpacked date before the end of June — just like last year. So stick around.</p>

<p>The Galaxy Unpacked event, set to showcase the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, and new wearables, has been shrouded in mystery—until now. A recent Samsung press release might have just spilled the beans on the event’s date and location.</p>

<p>Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2025, expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, and a budget-friendly <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/11/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7-fe-gets-certified/">Galaxy Z Flip7 FE</a>, is slated for mid-July, but the company hasn’t officially confirmed the specifics. However, a press release spotted by SamMobile offers a tantalizing hint. Samsung announced <a href="https://news.samsung.com/us/slowing-down-to-speed-up-samsung-brings-rest-to-runners-new-york-city-that-never-sleeps/">a partnership</a> with two major New York City running clubs, sponsoring events to showcase its Galaxy wearables, starting with the NYCRuns Queens Ice Cream Social 5K on July 13, 2025. This timing and location have led insiders to speculate that Unpacked could happen around the same day, likely in New York City, leveraging the running events to promote the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/12/everything-we-know-about-the-samsung-galaxy-watch-8-series-so-far/">Galaxy Watch 8 series</a>.</p>

<p>The Galaxy Z Fold7 is rumored to be slimmer with a larger display and boast a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/25/galaxy-z-fold7-real-life-image-reaffirms-200mp-main-camera/">200MP main sensor</a>, while the Z Flip7 is expected to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/13/galaxy-z-flip-7s-much-larger-cover-screen-confirmed-via-one-ui-8-leak/">sport a redesigned cover screen</a>. The Z Flip7 FE, a first for Samsung’s Fan Edition foldables, could attract budget-conscious buyers with toned-down specs but the same clamshell charm. Speculations also suggest the event will highlight Gemini AI integration and One UI 8, based on Android 16, for the foldables. In fact, Samsung recently <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/12/galaxy-z-fold-7-camera-upgrades-expect-more-ai/">teased</a> the book-style foldable, saying it now &#8220;gets what you’re looking at — and responds.&#8221;</p>

<p>For now, this announcement is a hint from Samsung at a July 13 event for the 7th generation foldables and new wearables. Confirmed dates are expected to be announced soon, so stick around.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a>’s upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-fe/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE</a> just made an appearance on a certification platform, signaling that its global launch may be right around the corner. As the rumored Fan Edition of Samsung’s popular clamshell foldable, the Z Flip 7 FE is expected to offer the signature flip design at a more accessible price point. The FCC filing further confirms that the device is progressing through final regulatory steps before hitting markets worldwide. So here&#8217;s what we know.</p>

<h2>Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE Clears FCC Certification, Global Launch Likely Soon</h2>

<p>The South Korean tech giant&#8217;s budget flip phone was spotted on the FCC database carrying the SM-F761U and SM-F761B model numbers. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE grabbed the BIS certification a couple of days ago, while the FCC certification confirms its US availability. This is the first Fan Edition foldable phone from Samsung, which would means that it carries a more affordable price tag compared to the premium Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2" class="wp-image-679353" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE CAD renders</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Looking at the FCC database, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is confirmed to launch with 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC connectivity. An FCC listing typically reveals more details regarding its charging speeds, but there is no mention of the wired charging rates. Although, the certification does confirm support for wireless and wireless power sharing. </p>

<p>Based on recent reports, Samsung&#8217;s new Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is set to launch with the Exynos 2400 SoC (as per a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/12/galaxy-z-flip-7-fe-benchmark-reveals-flagship-exynos-chip-rumors-say-otherwise/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">GeekBench sighting</a>). The budget Galaxy flip phone is expected to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/05/galaxy-z-flip7-fe-gets-certified-alongside-fold-7-and-flip-7/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7</a>. Another <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/06/galaxy-z-flip7-fe-pricing-tipped/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">report revealed its pricing</a>, which may sell for around 1 million KRW (roughly 740 US Dollars) in South Korea.</p>

<p>Samsung is gearing up for a big splash at its Galaxy Unpacked event in New York this July, and word on the street is they’re bringing a wallet-friendly foldable to the market. The much-talked-about <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/05/galaxy-z-flip7-fe-gets-certified-alongside-fold-7-and-flip-7/#:~:text=The%20Z%20Flip7%20FE%2C%20likely,Galaxy%20Watch8%20and%20Tab%20S11.">Galaxy Z Flip7 FE</a> is set to join the Z Fold7 and Z Flip7, promising the flip phone experience at a price that won’t make your wallet cry.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2" class="wp-image-679353" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE CAD renders</figcaption></figure>

<p>According to a report from South Korea’s <a href="https://www.sisajournal-e.com/news/articleView.html?idxno=412317">SisaJournalE</a>, the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE will launch in Samsung’s home market at around KRW 1 million, which translates to roughly $740, €645, or £545. While currency conversions are rarely spot-on, folks at GSMArena speculate a US price of about $799 for the base 128GB model, making it a steal compared to the Z Flip7’s expected $1,099 starting price.</p>

<p>For Europe and the UK, pricing is trickier to pin down, but expect at least €799 and £699, likely a bit higher than Korea’s tag due to regional pricing trends. The Flip7 FE will come in 128GB and 256GB storage options, while the standard Z Flip7 is tipped to offer 256GB and 512GB, matching last year’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-6/">Z Flip6</a> pricing.</p>

<p>Rumors are swirling about the Flip7 FE’s specs, with some suggesting it could be a rebranded Z Flip6, possibly powered by an Exynos 2400e or Exynos 2400 chip instead of the Z Flip7’s beefier <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/28/galaxy-z-flip-7-will-pack-snapdragon-8-elite-in-most-markets-claims-latest-leak/#:~:text=According%20to%20Korean%20outlet%20Hangkyung,US%2C%20Europe%2C%20and%20India.">Exynos 2500 and Snapdragon 8 Elite</a>. It’s expected to sport a 3.4-inch cover screen, a 6.7-inch main display, and a 3,700mAh battery with 25W charging. While it might not pack all the bells and whistles of the flagship, this Fan Edition could make foldables more accessible when it debuts on July 10, 2025. Stay tuned for more as Samsung’s big event nears.</p>

<p>Samsung’s recent teaser for its next foldable smartphone got fans excited with talk of a &#8220;Galaxy Z Fold7 Ultra&#8221;, but a well-known tipster has thrown cold water on the idea. With the Galaxy Unpacked event looming, it seems the Korean tech giant’s “Ultra” hype was more about marketing flair than a new premium model, leaving us with a trio of foldables to look forward to this summer.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Fold-7-CAD-renders-by-OnLeaks-and-AndroidHeadlines3-1024x576.png?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 CAD renders by OnLeaks and AndroidHeadlines" class="wp-image-674689" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Fold-7-CAD-renders-by-OnLeaks-and-AndroidHeadlines3-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Fold-7-CAD-renders-by-OnLeaks-and-AndroidHeadlines3-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Fold-7-CAD-renders-by-OnLeaks-and-AndroidHeadlines3-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Fold-7-CAD-renders-by-OnLeaks-and-AndroidHeadlines3-696x392.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Fold-7-CAD-renders-by-OnLeaks-and-AndroidHeadlines3-1068x601.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Fold-7-CAD-renders-by-OnLeaks-and-AndroidHeadlines3-746x420.png 746w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Fold-7-CAD-renders-by-OnLeaks-and-AndroidHeadlines3.png 1420w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 CAD renders by OnLeaks and AndroidHeadlines</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Yesterday, Samsung’s <a href="https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=&amp;cad=rja&amp;uact=8&amp;ved=2ahUKEwihypijgtuNAxX8SGcHHWAGLn0QFnoECCAQAQ&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fnews.samsung.com%2Fglobal%2Fmeet-the-next-chapter-of-ultra&amp;usg=AOvVaw1UDgZLDp0ovXxWFtQZy9BD&amp;opi=89978449">press release</a> dropped <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/04/samsung-galaxy-z-fold-7-ultra-teased/">hints</a> about an “Ultra experience” that “goes beyond a simple list of upgraded features,” leading many to speculate about a Galaxy Z Fold7 Ultra. However, tipster Max Jambor, known for reliable leaks, took to X to clarify that no such device is coming—at least not at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in early July. “The Fold7 itself will bring the ‘Ultra’ experience,” Jambor stated, suggesting Samsung is using the term to hype up the standard Galaxy Z Fold7 rather than launching a separate Ultra model. The move, he claims, was a deliberate tactic to stir excitement.</p>

<p>Instead, Samsung’s lineup will stick to three foldables: the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, and the budget-friendly Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, as confirmed by recent TKDN certifications. The Z Fold7 is rumored to be a sleek upgrade, possibly as thin as 3.9mm unfolded and 8.9mm folded, with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/25/galaxy-z-fold7-real-life-image-reaffirms-200mp-main-camera/">a 200MP main camera</a>, 8.2-inch inner display, and Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. The Z Flip7 and Flip7 FE, meanwhile, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/28/galaxy-z-flip-7-will-pack-snapdragon-8-elite-in-most-markets-claims-latest-leak/">may run on Exynos chips</a> and offer a larger cover screen. All three are expected to debut with One UI 8 on Android 16, promising smoother animations and enhanced AI features.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="467" height="112" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Screenshot-2025-06-06-011455.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-690384" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Screenshot-2025-06-06-011455.png 467w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Screenshot-2025-06-06-011455-300x72.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 467px) 100vw, 467px" /></figure></div>

<p>While the Unpacked event’s exact date remains unconfirmed, leaks point to early July in New York. With no &#8220;Z Fold7 Ultra&#8221; in sight, the focus is now on whether the Z Fold7 can deliver that “Ultra” experience Samsung is teasing. More details should emerge soon as the event nears.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a> is gearing up for a big reveal at its Galaxy Unpacked event this summer, with whispers of not one, but three new foldable smartphones on the horizon. Fresh certifications hint at an exciting lineup, including a budget-friendly surprise that could reshape the foldable market. This affordable flip phone was <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/23/affordable-z-flip-7-fe-may-arrive-with-flagship-models-hints-new-leak/">previously speculated</a> to launch alongside the Fold 7 and Flip 7, and the latest development only reaffirms that.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2" class="wp-image-679353" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE CAD renders</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Recent filings with Indonesia’s TKDN certification platform have confirmed three model numbers—SM-F761B, SM-F766B, and SM-F966B—believed to represent the Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, and Galaxy Z Fold7, respectively. The Z Flip7 and Z Fold7 are expected successors to last year’s models, with the latter potentially carrying an “<a href="https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=&amp;cad=rja&amp;uact=8&amp;ved=2ahUKEwjC852L89mNAxVySWwGHXY2GGkQFnoECBkQAQ&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gizmochina.com%2F2025%2F06%2F04%2Fsamsung-galaxy-z-fold-7-ultra-teased%2F&amp;usg=AOvVaw3e9WWz1hMRlM9uDJhMHgIS&amp;opi=89978449">Ultra</a>” branding to signal premium upgrades. The real head-turner, though, is the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, a more affordable foldable that could make Samsung’s foldable tech accessible to a wider crowd. Unlike the rumored tri-fold Galaxy G Fold, which may see a limited release, the Z Flip7 FE seems poised for a global debut alongside its siblings.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="986" height="913" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/GsfaGK-b0AI5Sy4.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-690209" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/GsfaGK-b0AI5Sy4.jpg 986w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/GsfaGK-b0AI5Sy4-300x278.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/GsfaGK-b0AI5Sy4-768x711.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/GsfaGK-b0AI5Sy4-696x644.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/GsfaGK-b0AI5Sy4-454x420.jpg 454w" sizes="(max-width: 986px) 100vw, 986px" /></figure></div>

<p>While Samsung is keeping specs under wraps, leaks suggest the Z Flip7 could sport a larger 4-inch cover display and a 6.85-inch main screen, powered by an Exynos 2500 chip in most regions, with the Snapdragon 8 Elite reserved for North America and China. The Z Fold7 might slim down to 4.5mm when unfolded, boasting a 200MP main camera and Android 16-based One UI 8. The Z Flip7 FE, likely a toned-down version, may stick with a 3.4-inch cover display and an Exynos 2400 chip to keep costs low.</p>

<p>Set for a July 2025 launch, these foldables will likely share the stage with the Galaxy Watch8 and Tab S11. With competition heating up, Samsung’s bold move with an FE model could redefine the foldable game.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/caetgory/samsung" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung </a>has officially kicked off the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/04/samsung-galaxy-z-fold-7-ultra-teased/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">teaser campaign</a> for its next-generation foldables, and unsurprisingly, the leaks are beginning to follow. </p>

<p>A fresh leak has now revealed the color and storage options for three of the four upcoming Galaxy foldable phones: the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-fold-7/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Z Fold 7</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Z Flip 7</a>, and the newly introduced <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7-fe/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE</a>.</p>

<h2><strong>The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is most diverse offering of three</strong></h2>

<p>According to the leak, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will arrive in three configurations. It starts with 12GB RAM with 256GB or 512GB of storage, and will go up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. On the aesthetic side, the Fold 7 is said to come in Silver Shadow, Blue Shadow, Jetblack, and Coralred shades.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will come in three memory configurations. The base will be 8GB + 128GB option, with 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB serving as succeeding memories. As for the color options, it will arrive in Blue Shadow and White Black. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240710_154438-1024x768.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6" class="wp-image-638877" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240710_154438-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240710_154438-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240710_154438-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240710_154438-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240710_154438-2048x1536.jpg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240710_154438-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240710_154438-1068x801.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240710_154438-1920x1440.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240710_154438-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240710_154438-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240710_154438-265x198.jpg 265w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Perhaps more interesting is the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, which is a new addition to Samsung’s foldable lineup. It will be a more affordable variant of the standard Flip 7 and will come in just two memory configurations: 8GB + 128GB or 8GB + 256 GB. The colors are even more minimal here, with only Black or White to choose from.</p>

<p>While the leak doesn&#8217;t mention the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra directly, the teaser Samsung shared <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/04/samsung-galaxy-z-fold-7-ultra-teased/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">today</a> is allegedly for this top-tier model. It’s rumored to be thinner than the Fold 6’s 5.6mm and even the Special Edition (4.6mm) variant. That would make it the slimmest foldable Samsung has ever made, assuming these figures hold up.</p>

<p>There’s still no official word on launch dates, but with the teaser now live, we are sure the announcement will be sooner rather than later.</p>

The company just kicked off its One UI 8 beta program and dropped some exciting hints about these devices, confirming their launch window and a fresh software experience. Here’s what’s coming.</p>

<h2>Samsung announced its One U 8 beta program yesterday</h2>

<p>In its <a href="https://news.samsung.com/global/samsung-launches-one-ui-8-beta-program-the-first-generation-upgrade-starting-with-the-new-galaxy-foldables">announcement</a> for the One UI 8 beta program, Samsung revealed that its “newest foldables” will hit the market this summer, likely in early July based on earlier rumors. The Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/23/affordable-z-flip-7-fe-may-arrive-with-flagship-models-hints-new-leak/#:~:text=Samsung's%20first%20foldable%20Fan,of%20the%20Z%20Flip%207.">possibly the Flip 7 FE</a> will be the first to ship with the stable One UI 8 update, making them some of the earliest devices to run Android 16.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1000" height="667" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-One-UI-8-Beta-Upgrade-Starting-With-the-New-Galaxy-Foldables_main2.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-688986" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-One-UI-8-Beta-Upgrade-Starting-With-the-New-Galaxy-Foldables_main2.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-One-UI-8-Beta-Upgrade-Starting-With-the-New-Galaxy-Foldables_main2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-One-UI-8-Beta-Upgrade-Starting-With-the-New-Galaxy-Foldables_main2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-One-UI-8-Beta-Upgrade-Starting-With-the-New-Galaxy-Foldables_main2-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Mobile-One-UI-8-Beta-Upgrade-Starting-With-the-New-Galaxy-Foldables_main2-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /><figcaption>One UI 8 enhances everyday convenience</figcaption></figure>

<p>This marks a major shift in Samsung&#8217;s Android OS rollout strategy. Until now, new One UI versions based on the latest Android release have typically debuted with the Galaxy S series. This year, however, the foldables are taking the lead—a change reportedly aligned with Google&#8217;s updated Android 16 timeline.</p>

<p>Samsung is calling One UI 8 a major step forward, packed with user experience (UX) improvements and AI-driven features to make daily tasks smoother and more personalized. The company’s tight collaboration with Google means this software will blend seamlessly with its foldable hardware, offering productivity-focused experience tailored for Galaxy users.</p>

<p>The One UI 8 beta is already rolling out for Galaxy S25 users in Korea, Germany, the UK, and the US, giving them a sneak peek at what’s to come. Other Galaxy devices and regions will get access later, but the Fold 7 and Flip 7 will lead the pack with the stable version pre-installed. Samsung says One UI 8 marks a new rhythm for its software updates, with big upgrades in interface design and AI capabilities that should make everything from multitasking to notifications feel more intuitive.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-Cover-Display-1024x576.webp?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7" class="wp-image-679268" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-Cover-Display-1024x576.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-Cover-Display-300x169.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-Cover-Display-768x432.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-Cover-Display-696x392.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-Cover-Display-1068x601.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-Cover-Display-746x420.webp 746w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-Cover-Display.webp 1420w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Leaked Render</figcaption></figure>

<h2>Exynos 2500 or Snapdragon 8 Elite in your region?</h2>

<p>According to Korean outlet <a href="https://www.hankyung.com/article/2025052792731">Hangkyung</a>, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will come with two chipset options: the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/exynos-2500/">Exynos 2500</a> for devices sold in South Korea and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for everywhere else, including the US, Europe, and India.</p>

<p>This is a relief for folks outside Korea, as the Snapdragon 8 Elite is likely more stable and efficient than its Exynos counterpart. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/07/snapdragon-8-elite-vs-dimensity-9400-2/#:~:text=In%20AnTuTu%20benchmarks%2C%20the%20Snapdragon,pulls%20ahead%20in%20GPU%20performance.">Testing</a> shows it outmuscles the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 in CPU-heavy tasks, which means faster app launches, smoother multitasking, and better performance for demanding features like Samsung’s DeX mode.</p>

<p>While both chips should handle everyday tasks like scrolling, streaming, and gaming without issue, performance, heating, and battery life under sustained heavy workloads may differ, potentially disappointing users in Korea.</p>

<p>This news flips the script on last week&#8217;s leak, which claimed the Exynos 2500 would dominate “most countries.” That followed another Korean outlet saying Samsung was ditching Snapdragon entirely for the Z Flip 7. Hangkyung’s latest scoop suggests Samsung is sticking with Qualcomm’s top-tier chip for global markets, which should ease worries about performance gaps. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/31/galaxy-z-fold7-to-feature-snapdragon-8-elite-and-s25-ultras-proscaler-display-tech/">expected</a> to stick with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor—also found in the Galaxy S25 series—across all regions, ensuring Samsung’s book-style foldable stays a powerhouse.</p>

<p>The Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 — reportedly launching <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/23/affordable-z-flip-7-fe-may-arrive-with-flagship-models-hints-new-leak/">alongside</a> the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/26/galaxy-z-flip-7-geekbench-exynos-2500/">Flip 7 FE</a> — will debut at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, scheduled for June-July, 2025.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a>’s first foldable Fan Edition, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7-fe/">Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE</a>, may launch simultaneously with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7/">Galaxy Z Flip 7</a> in late July 2025, contrary to earlier reports of a staggered release, per a tipster on X.</p>

<p>Samsung is set to expand its foldable lineup with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, a budget-friendly version of the Z Flip 7. It follows the cost-effective formula of its Galaxy S FE series. Initially, reports suggested the Z Flip 7 FE might launch &#8220;sometime in late 2025,&#8221; following the June-July launch of the Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. It would mirror the Galaxy S series strategy, where flagship models debut early and FE variants arrive in the second half to avoid cannibalizing sales.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Screenshot-2025-05-23-131417.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-688184" width="408" height="346" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Screenshot-2025-05-23-131417.png 463w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Screenshot-2025-05-23-131417-300x255.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 408px) 100vw, 408px" /></figure></div>

<p>However, live demo units for both devices are now in production together, suggesting a simultaneous market release. This aligns with Samsung’s typical Unpacked event timeline, likely in June-July 2025.</p>

<p>The Z Flip 7 FE is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, the Exynos 2400 chip, and a 12MP+12MP camera setup, compared to the Z Flip 7’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/04/30/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7-drop-snapdragon-for-exynos-2500/">potential Exynos 2500</a> (Snapdragon 8 Elite in North America and China), and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/27/galaxy-z-flip-7-camera-specs-leaked-and-theyre-not-particularly-exciting/">50MP main sensor</a>.</p>

<p>While Samsung hasn’t confirmed the launch, a joint release could broaden foldable adoption, though it risks sales overlap. Expect more information as we inch closer to the launch. With the Z Flip 7 FE expected to be significantly cheaper—potentially priced at ~$799 versus the Z Flip 7’s ~$999— it could appear as an alternative to the Z Flip 7 for many.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a> is expected to add a budget model in its foldable line called the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. The device is believed to have <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/05/samsung-galaxy-z-fold7-flip7-production-begins/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">entered production</a> and has also appeared in <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/03/21/galaxy-z-flip-fe-bags-3c-certification-reveals-charging-details/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">China’s 3C certification </a>database, essentially confirming its existence. Now, it has gone through a benchmark test under the model number SM-F761N.</p>

<p>The listing confirms several details about the hardware, though it doesn’t settle the ongoing confusion around which chipset Samsung is actually using.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2" class="wp-image-679353" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE CAD renders</figcaption></figure></div>

<h2><strong>Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE Geekbench</strong></h2>

<p>The Geekbench entry lists the Flip 7 FE’s motherboard under the codename s5e9945, and the processor configuration suggests it is powered by the Exynos 2400 chip.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It includes a single prime core clocked at 3.21GHz, two performance cores at 2.90GHz, three additional cores running at 2.59GHz, and four efficiency cores at 1.96GHz. Handling the graphics is an Xclipse 940 GPU, which brings it to the point that it likely is Exynos 2400.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="450" height="600" data-id="686151" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-Geekbench.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-686151" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-Geekbench.jpg 450w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-Geekbench-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-Geekbench-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px" /></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="450" height="600" data-id="686150" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-Geekbench-2.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-686150" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-Geekbench-2.jpg 450w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-Geekbench-2-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-Geekbench-2-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px" /></figure>
</figure>

<p>The device in testing has 8GB of RAM and is running <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/04/17/android-16-release-date-eligible-devices-new-features/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Android 16</a>, which is expected to be announced during Google’s I/O Developer Conference later this month. In the benchmark, it gained a single-core score of 1,930 and a multi-core score of 6,276.</p>

<p>That said, there’s still uncertainty around the final chipset choice of the FE. Geekbench now suggests it will be Exynos 2400, whereas earlier reports have floated the possibility of an Exynos 2400e or even an unreleased Exynos 2500. </p>

<p>Adding to the confusion, a separate report from earlier today claims that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/12/samsungs-flip-7-fe-might-just-beat-the-flip-7-in-real-world-use-thanks-to-samsungs-surprising-chipset-choice/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">7 FE may not use an Exynos chip</a> at all.</p>

<p>Of course, these are leaks, and leaks can be inaccurate. So we suggest you take these details with a pinch of salt. Aside from the benchmark, 3C certification reveals the device will support 25W fast charging.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a>&#8216;s 7th generation foldable lineup will include the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE, and a new tri-fold device — and according to the latest leak, the fan edition flip phone might actually pack a superior chipset compared to the regular Flip 7.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240711_124544-1024x768.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6" class="wp-image-640793" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240711_124544-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240711_124544-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240711_124544-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240711_124544-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240711_124544-2048x1536.jpg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240711_124544-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240711_124544-1068x801.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240711_124544-1920x1440.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240711_124544-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240711_124544-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20240711_124544-265x198.jpg 265w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The chipset rumors around the upcoming Galaxy flagships (both the 7th-gen foldables and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/04/galaxy-s25-series-may-completely-drop-exynos-2500-chipset/">S26 series</a>) have been a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/04/03/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7-fe-specs-leak-reveals-exynos-2400e-chip-camera-details/">rollercoaster</a>. While Samsung has always powered its foldables with Snapdragon chips, the delayed development of the Exynos 2500 series suggests it may finally make its way into the foldables — <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/04/30/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7-drop-snapdragon-for-exynos-2500/">at least the Z Flip 7</a>. The latest leak reaffirms this speculation. However, the new FE model is rumored to be a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/07/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7-fe-lazy-rebrand-offlip-6/">“lazy rebrand” of the Z Flip 6</a>, which means it’ll likely include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="467" height="109" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Screenshot-2025-05-12-104758.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-686092" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Screenshot-2025-05-12-104758.png 467w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Screenshot-2025-05-12-104758-300x70.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 467px) 100vw, 467px" /></figure></div>

<p>There have been consistent yield and performance issues holding back the Exynos 2500. And while most Exynos chips over the last 5–6 years have launched with promises of better efficiency and stability, those expectations have rarely been met. So, if history is any indication — especially with the known <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/11/06/exynos-2500-faces-production-setbacks-samsungs-3nm-yield-falls-below-20/">production issues</a> on Samsung’s 3nm node — it’s best not to keep high hopes for a device powered by this new chip.</p>

<p>The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, on the other hand, is a proven chipset and is expected to be more stable and power-efficient, even if it doesn’t quite match the Exynos 2500 in peak performance.</p>

<p>The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/04/13/galaxy-z-fold-7-surfaces-on-geekbench-with-one-ui-8-based-on-android-16/">expected</a> to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which further suggests that the Exynos 2500 may not yet be ready to handle heavy workloads. The lineup is expected to launch in early July, and more details should surface as we get closer to the launch.</p>

<p>The anticipation is already building up for the next generation of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung </a>foldable smartphones. While we&#8217;ve already covered various rumors and reports regarding the flagship <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-fold-7/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Z Fold 7</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Z Flip 7</a> models, a new leak has revealed some disappointing details regarding the new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-fe/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE</a>. This brand new flip phone might simply be another rebrand.</p>

<h2>Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE Might Just Be the Flip 6 in Disguise</h2>

<p>In a report from <em><a href="https://techmaniacs.gr/apokleistiko-ayto-einai-to-samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7-fe-kai-i-timi-toy/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">TechManiacs</a></em>, the key specs and features of the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE model were revealed. Looking at these specs, it seems like the new budget foldable phone might be just a lazy rebrand of last year&#8217;s Galaxy Z Flip 6. The report claims that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, just like the Flip 6. This processor is rumored to be paired with 12GB of RAM.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2" class="wp-image-679353" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-renders-2-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE CAD renders</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The main display is a flexible 6.7-inch AMOLED display, while the cover panel is a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED screen. In recent <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/03/29/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-7-fe-high-quality-renders-leak-with-folder-cover-screen/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">leaked renders</a>, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE looks eerily similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, even down to the shape of the cover screen. That&#8217;s not all, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is expected to launch with a 50MP (Main) + 12MP (Ultra Wide) dual camera setup on the rear and a 10MP selfie shooter. </p>

<p>So this might be the exact same camera system that was featured on the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Another aspect shared between the last gen and new Samsung flip phones is the battery capacity. The new FE model could offer a 4,000 mAh battery cell, which supports 25W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. All of these points to the Z Flip 7 FE being a Flip 6 in disguise. Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report, so take this disappointing news with a pinch of salt for now.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a>’s budget-friendly foldable might not look so different after all. Reliable tipster OnLeaks, in collaboration with SammyGuru, has shared high-quality renders of what’s expected to be the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, Samsung’s first attempt at an FE (Fan Edition) model in its flip phone lineup.</p>

<p>And at first glance, the Flip 7 FE appears almost identical to the current Galaxy Z Flip 6, both inside and out. The familiar clamshell design is intact, and the rumored specs suggest little has changed. The device is said to feature a 3.4-inch cover display alongside a 6.7-inch inner foldable screen—the same as the Flip 6.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" data-id="679354" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-render-1.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-679354" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-render-1.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-render-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-render-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-render-1-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Flip-7-FE-render-1-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure>

<p>However, the FE model could be slightly bulkier. It’s reportedly 7.4mm thick when unfolded, compared to 6.9mm on the Flip 6. That said, the overall footprint seems largely unchanged.</p>

<p>Interestingly, while the FE model sticks to the older design, the regular Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to bring a more noticeable upgrade. According to reports, it will feature a larger 4-inch cover screen and drop the folder-shaped outer display design that’s become a staple of Samsung’s clamshell foldables.</p>

<h2><strong>What to expect</strong></h2>

<p>The leaked renders offer a good look at the design, but the hardware inside might be just as familiar. The Z Flip 7 FE is tipped to run on an <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/11/11/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-fe-tipped-exynos-2400/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Exynos 2400e processor</a>, a toned-down version of Samsung’s flagship Exynos 2400 chip. On the software side, it will ship with One UI 7 based on Android 15.</p>

<p>For cameras, the phone is rumored to carry a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/02/19/alleged-galaxy-z-flip-fe-key-specs-leak-reveals-6-7-inch-120hz-display-50mp-main-camera-exynos-chip/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">50MP primary sensor</a> and a 12MP ultrawide lens. It will also likely feature an Armor Aluminum frame, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and some sort of water resistance rating. </p>

<p>Samsung is also expected to offer a long-term update policy for the Flip 7 FE. The company could commit to six years of Android and security updates, or even seven, in line with its regular foldables. Other expected features include Wi-Fi 6E support and 25W wired charging.</p>
