While the smartphone industry has struggled amid the ongoing chip crisis, Samsung has continued to release new smartphones across price segments. For every price segment, there are some excellent options, which is a good thing for buyers, but that also makes it difficult to pick the right one. To make it easy, we’ve curated a list of the best Samsung smartphones across price segments.

Whether you’re looking for an excellent camera phone, a phone that offers a great balance of price and features, or a phone that’s reliable but easy on your pocket, you’ll find the right one that checks your boxes on the list below.

1. Best Overall

The Galaxy S26 is a dominant flagship choice, particularly for those seeking a premium, compact phone with excellent performance and camera capabilities.

The 6.3-inch screen uses a high-quality AMOLED panel with LTPO support for extra battery saving. It offers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 2600 nits of peak brightness for excellent outdoor visibility. The triple camera setup on the back takes excellent shots across various lighting conditions. It comprises a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 10MP telephoto shooter with OIS and 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide snapper. It supports up to 8K video recording, while the 12MP selfie camera can record up to 4K videos.

Under the hood, it’s the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset that ensures smooth performance even under heavy load, but it’s reserved for select regions, including the US, Canada, and China, while India and the rest of the world get the Exynos 2600. The Snapdragon chip delivers better gaming performance, but otherwise, the performance is similar. You can take a look at the comparison here.

The Galaxy S26 packs a 4300mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. It also offers 15W wireless and 4.5W reverse wireless charging to power up your accessories. Being the latest release, it comes with a robust set of connectivity features, including high-speed Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and fast USB Type-C 3.2.

The small Galaxy S26 delivers a premium experience. It starts at INR 76,900 (USD 799) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and INR 99,999 (USD 899) for double the storage.

2. Best Ultra-Tier

The Galaxy S26 Ultra needs no introduction. It’s an easy recommendation for anyone looking for the most capable camera setup on a Galaxy smartphone.

The 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor is the same sensor that’s inside the S25 Ultra, but the new phone has a wider f/1.4 aperture lens, allowing the device to pull in about 47% more light. The rear camera setup also includes a 50MP ultrawide lens and two telephoto lenses: one with 3x optical zoom and another with 5x optical zoom. The other side has a 12MP snapper for selfies and video calls.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra upgrades to a faster 60W wired charging and 25W wireless charging, while the battery capacity remains at 5000mAh. The device also benefits from a modern Bluetooth 6.0 standard, which is available on very few Galaxy devices.

The base Galaxy S26 Ultra with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at INR 1,24,999 (USD 1099), while the 512GB storage variant is available for purchase at INR 1,44,999 (USD 1299). The top-tier model with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage costs INR 1,74,999 (USD 1,599).

3. Best Value Flagship

The Galaxy S26 FE delivers an excellent fit for people seeking a flagship-level experience at a not-so-flagship price. Obviously, there are some corner-cutting, including an older Exynos 2500 chip, but it’s still a solid-performing chipset in 2026 for most people.

The phone features a flagship-class 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and tough Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. Since FE models launch a few months later, they typically come with a new OS and are therefore eligible to receive an extra major Android upgrade compared to their flagship siblings. The S26 FE will receive OS updates until Android 24, while its premium siblings will reach the end of the road with Android 23.

The Galaxy S26 FE features a high-end rear camera setup, featuring a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide shooter. It can record videos in up to 8K resolution, whereas the 12MP selfie camera supports up to 4K recording.

The S26 FE packs a 4900mAh battery and supports 45W wired charging, which is faster than the regular S26 (25W). The device also supports reverse wireless charging, like its premium siblings. There are some corner-cutting on the connectivity part, though. The S26 FE doesn’t support Wi-Fi 7; instead, it offers Wi-Fi 6e. Also, it comes with USB Type-C 2.0, which is slightly slower for file transfers over a USB cable than USB Type-C 3.2 on the regular S26 models.

Even with several tradeoffs, the Galaxy S26 FE remains an excellent value flagship. Samsung has announced that the phone will go on sale in India, the US, and Europe in the first week of September, while sales in India will begin on September 18. The phone costs $699 in the US for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Pricing details for the Indian market have yet to be announced, with rumors suggesting a unit could cost INR 70,000.

4. Best Foldable

Samsung remains the leading brand in the foldable market, and the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra raises the bar for what a book-style foldable phone can do.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip ensures the Fold 8 Ultra runs smoothly, even during heavy tasks such as gaming or video editing. Plus, the high-end camera setup makes it the best choice for anyone looking for a premium foldable phone.

The Fold 8 Ultra borrows the rear camera setup from the Galaxy S26 Ultra except for the periscope lens. That means you get a 200MP main sensor, a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. The phone has 10MP selfie cameras on the cover screen and the inner screen, although you can use the rear camera for much better selfies.

Much of the Fold 8 Ultra’s capabilities are borrowed from the Galaxy S26 Ultra, including the 5000mAh battery, charging capabilities, and the modern connectivity suite.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra starts at INR 195,000 (USD 1799) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the 512GB storage model is priced at INR 214,999 (USD 1999). The top-tier variant with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage costs INR 255,000 (USD 2,399).

5. Best Mid-Range

The Galaxy A57 stands out as a high-performance, well-rounded mid-range phone, bringing flagship-grade durability, long software support, and advanced AI features to a more accessible price segment.

The smartphone sports a slim 6.9mm profile with glass panels on both front and back, protected by robust Gorilla Glass Victus+, alongside a refined, metallic-feeling aluminum frame. It offers a complete IP68 dust and water resistance rating, ensuring peace of mind against everyday spills, rain, or dust.

The Galaxy A57 features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ screen with HDR10+ support and a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s powered by the Exynos 1680 chipset, which can smoothly handle day-to-day operations as well as gaming at moderate settings. Software support is another plus for the A57, as the brand promises six generations of major OS upgrades.

The rear camera setup features a 50MP primary shooter, a 12MP ultrawide unit, and a 5MP macro camera, while the front side has a 12MP sensor. You can do 4K video recording from both sides. The Galaxy A57 also offers AI-based photo editing features such as Object Eraser, Best Face, Auto Trim, and Edit Suggestions. Speaking of AI, the device also brings the Voice transcription feature, which is typically found on high-end phones. Other specs include a 5000mAh battery, 45W fast charging, Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth 6.0, and USB Type-C 2.0.

Overall, the Galaxy A57 5G is a solid mid-range phone, currently priced at INR 56,999 for the base version with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. There’s also a 12GB RAM option with the same storage for INR 62,499. In the US, the 128GB storage model costs USD 549, and the 256GB storage variant costs USD 610.

6. Best Budget

The Galaxy A07 5G is an excellent choice for media consumption as it packs a large 6.7-inch screen and a massive 6000mAh battery. The Dimensity 6300 processor ensures no lag in everyday apps and operations.

One of the best things about the Galaxy A07 is its software update policy. Samsung has promised to offer it six years of security patches and six major Android OS updates. Other brands typically restrict their budget phones to two OS upgrades.

The Galaxy A07 5G features a dual rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary lens for portrait effects. It has an 8MP selfie camera.

The much more affordable Galaxy A07 5G is currently priced at INR 18,999 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. You can double the storage by paying an additional INR 2000.

Which Samsung phone should you buy?

If you want the absolute best Galaxy phone with top-tier capabilities, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is a brilliant choice. It offers flagship performance, high-end camera hardware, great software support, and modern connectivity features.

The standard Galaxy S26 is a great pick for people looking for a compact phone that packs high-end hardware. The phone features an excellent rear camera setup, a flagship-class processor, and fast charging support. But if you want a flagship phone at a not-so-flagship price, the Galaxy S26 FE can be a great fit.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is currently the best pick for a foldable phone, as it packs the best hardware available in the category. There’s also a new Galaxy Z Fold 8 with a passport-size form factor, which has become quite popular soon after its release.

For the mid-range segment, the Galaxy A57 strikes an excellent balance of performance, camera quality, and battery life. It also offers several advanced AI features found only on expensive phones. And, if you’re simply looking for a reliable Samsung phone that’s easy on the pocket, the Galaxy A07 5G serves the purpose. It packs a large battery and a big screen, and it doesn’t lag in regular use.

Earlier this month, the regular Galaxy Z Fold 8 came out of JerryRigEverything’s tough durability tests looking pretty solid. It handled reverse bends, grit, and the usual stress tests surprisingly well. All previous large-screen Galaxy foldables, including the first-generation Galaxy Fold, also survived the test without any major damage or loss of functionality.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, though, didn’t have the same luck when Zack Nelson put the $2,099 flagship through the exact same gauntlet.

Samsung has been talking up the Ultra’s durability upgrades: an Armor Aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 on the cover display, a redesigned Armor FlexHinge, and dual titanium layers (FlexTitanium) under the folding panel. They’re marketing it as having “lasting durability.”

In the test, the first reverse bend while open went fine. The second, harder bend was a different story. The main inner display took permanent damage: it flickered for a moment, then went completely dark and unusable. The phone also showed some noticeable flex when bent backward.

Possible reasons include damage to the display’s flex cable, a fold-detection sensor, or just internal stress from the hinge pressing against that ultra-thin folding panel. At only 4.1 mm thick when unfolded, the Ultra seems to be pushing how slim Samsung can go while still keeping the structure strong under extreme force. The regular Fold 8 had survived similar rearward bending with its chassis intact, which highlights how even phones in the same generation can behave differently.

Foldables are still more complex than regular phones: two displays, a hinge, and everything needing precise alignment. When the inner screen fails, repairs aren’t cheap: Samsung charges $639 in the US for a Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra inner display module replacement, while the outer display is a more reasonable $149. They do include one free inner screen protector replacement in the first 12 months (after that it’s about $19).

Samsung has updated the official out-of-warranty screen repair prices for its newest foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8. The numbers give a clearer idea of how much it could cost if something goes wrong with the flexible displays.

Starting with the most expensive repair, a full inner screen module replacement, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra comes in at $639 (or Rs 59,670). The regular Galaxy Z Fold 8 is $579 (or Rs 54,130) for the same job, while the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is $359 (or Rs 26,760). These are the repairs that cover the more complex folding inner displays.

Outer screen repairs are much cheaper. Replacing the cover display costs $149 on the Fold 8 Ultra, $139 on the standard Fold 8, and $129 on the Flip 8. That makes sense – the outer screens are simpler than the folding panels.

Looking at last year’s prices, there’s a noticeable jump on the Fold side. The Galaxy Z Fold 7’s inner screen repair was listed at $449, which is quite a bit lower than what the Fold 8 models are now charging. Samsung does note that the repair categories are different this year, so it’s not a perfect one-to-one comparison. On the Flip side, the Galaxy Z Flip 7’s inner repair was $249, so the Flip 8’s $359 is a clear step up.

Outer screen prices haven’t moved as much. The Fold 7 outer repair was the same $139 as this year’s Fold 8. The Flip 7 outer repair was $119, only $10 less than the Flip 8’s $129.

Overall, the new pricing shows that while outer displays are still relatively cheap to fix, a damaged inner screen on the premium Fold models can cost almost as much as a mid-range phone. Anyone using a new Galaxy Z Fold 8 or Flip 8 might want to look into something like Samsung Care+, which can bring those out-of-pocket costs down a lot. The official numbers are up on Samsung’s support sites if you want to check them yourself.

One of the biggest promises Samsung made around the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series is actually its folding mechanism, or more specifically, the titanium support structure behind the display panel.

It’s called “Flex Titanium”, and from Samsung’s press materials, it looks like a series of slim titanium bars placed around the crease area to provide additional support as the display is folded and unfolded. The goal is to reduce the visibility of the crease and protect the display as it’s folded and unfolded over a long period of time.

When the phone was first showcased around a week ago, we could see that the crease was almost invisible. That was pretty impressive because the Galaxy Z Fold 7 still had a noticeable crease, while some Chinese foldables like the Oppo Find N6 from earlier this year had already managed to make the crease far less visible.

Ice Universe posted a tweet on July 23, the day after the Galaxy Unpacked event, comparing the crease of four devices: Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Fold 8, Oppo Find N6, and the Vivo X Fold 6.

The crease on the Z Fold 8 looked the flattest. The Oppo Find N6, sitting right next to the Fold 8, still had a quite visible crease. It appeared that Samsung has finally fixed the problem, and Galaxy Foldables will be the best in this aspect until the next release.

A week later:

The Z Fold 8 series is set to go on sale on August 7 and is currently only in the hands of creators. One of them recently shared two short videos on X comparing brand-new Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra units with the review devices they’ve been using for the past week. The difference in crease visibility is immediately noticeable on both the standard and Ultra models.

The Oppo Find N6 maintained its crease much better after about a week of use. It will be interesting to see how Samsung’s new Flex Titanium technology holds up over the next year before the company unveils its successor.

Luxury device customizer Caviar has announced a new line of modified Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra smartphones. The Legends collection introduces three new designs based on characters from Scarface, The Godfather, and Joker.

As is typical for Caviar’s releases, these are heavily modified versions of Samsung‘s standard hardware, featuring precious metals and high price tags. The collection is launching alongside Samsung’s standard global rollout for the new foldables.

Design Details

The back panels of these devices have been replaced with custom artwork made using hot cloisonné enamel. This is a traditional jewelry technique where colored enamel is applied by hand within wire frames. The frames, device edges, and camera bumps are plated in 24-karat gold. Caviar is limiting production to exactly 19 units per design.

The first two models are built on the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 chassis. The Scarface edition features a portrait of Tony Montana in a white suit, set against a gold guilloché pattern. It starts at $12,560 for the base 256GB storage configuration.

The Godfather variant shares the same $12,560 starting price point and uses a similar 24-karat gold frame. Its back panel depicts Don Vito Corleone in a tuxedo, incorporating a small red rose and the film’s marionette strings motif into the metalwork.

The third model in the lineup is based on the larger Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. Focused on the Joker, the back panel uses purple, green, and burgundy enamel to show the character holding a hand of playing cards. The background features a radiating geometric pattern. This model is slightly more expensive, starting at $12,990 for the 256GB version.

All devices in the Legends collection ship in custom packaging that includes a 24-karat gold-plated key, which Caviar includes as a branding element. The company is currently accepting orders for the devices.

In related news, Caviar has recently unveiled limited-edition smartphones inspired by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, featuring premium 24K gold accents and luxury finishes.

Samsung just unveiled its first-ever Ultra-branded book-style foldable. It aims to be the ultimate productivity machine that fits in your pocket.

The “Ultra” name has sparked some debate: people are used to seeing it on slab phones with cutting-edge optics. But Samsung says it simply represents their most advanced and capable devices across all categories.

On the outside, you get a 6.5-inch FHD+ cover display with tough Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 protection. Unfold it, and you’re looking at a massive 8-inch QXGA+ inner screen using Dynamic AMOLED 2X tech, complete with an anti-reflective coating and a crazy-high peak brightness of 3000 nits. Both screens support smooth 120Hz adaptive refresh rates, making multitasking and media consumption feel buttery smooth.

Cameras are a big focus this time. There’s a triple rear setup: a 200MP main sensor (with 2x optical zoom), a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 10MP 3x telephoto. You also get dual 10MP front cameras (one on each display). Samsung added new software tricks like better HDR in 200MP shots, improved low-light performance, 8K video recording, and APV encoding.

Powering everything is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, paired with plenty of memory and storage, starting at 12GB + 256GB and going all the way up to 16GB + 1TB. The battery now uses silicon-carbon tech, increasing capacity from 4,400mAh on the Fold 7 to 5,000mAh despite the phone keeping almost the same dimensions. Charging also gets a nice bump to 45W wired and 20W wireless, making this one of the Fold 8 Ultra’s biggest hardware upgrades.

Other notable improvements include a new Flex Titanium support structure behind the display that reduces the crease, along with better thermal management, a smoother hinge with magnetic assist, and an efficient dual-path charging system. The phone measures just 4.1mm when unfolded and weighs about 215g. Color options include Twilight Purple, Rock Gray, Cloud White, and an online-exclusive Pine Green.

It ships with One UI 9, loaded with expanded Galaxy AI features powered by Google Gemini. Pre-orders are live, and shipping begins August 7. Samsung has listed the phone on its official website at the following prices:

• 12GB+256GB: $2,099
• 12GB+512GB: $2,299
• 16GB+1TB: $2,699

The post Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra launches with 5000mAh Si/C battery, anti-reflective display, and Flex Titanium support structure appeared first on Gizmochina.

With Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event just a few days away on July 22 in London, fresh leaks are giving us a clearer picture of what to expect from the next-generation foldables.

The standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 (256GB) is expected to start at around $1,899 in the US, while the higher-end Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra (same storage) could begin at $2,099. That’s roughly a $100 increase for the Ultra compared to last year’s Z Fold 7. Prices are still being finalized, so they could shift a bit before the official reveal.

European pricing leaks give us a better look at the storage tiers. The regular Fold 8 is reportedly set at €1,999 (256GB), €2,199 (512GB), and €2,599 (1TB). The Ultra version jumps to €2,199, €2,399, and €2,799 respectively.

The clamshell Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to start at €1,299 (256GB) and €1,499 (512GB). On the wearables side, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 LTE could begin around €749, with the regular Watch9 models at €409 (40mm) and €459 (44mm).

The standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 packs a 7.6-inch inner screen that has a more square 4:3 aspect ratio and a 5.5-inch outer screen (16:10 ratio). It’s impressively thin at just 4.5mm when unfolded and 9.7mm to 9.8mm when folded, weighing around 201 grams. The Ultra model, on the other hand, is sticking with the more traditional narrow, elongated shape and will serve as the true premium option.

Both phones are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset. Camera setups will differ: the standard Fold 8 gets a dual 50MP rear system, while the Ultra is expected to retain the Z Fold 7’s triple-camera array, including the 200MP main sensor. The base model is said to include a 4,800mAh battery, while the Ultra is expected to get a slightly larger 5,000mAh battery pack, a notable upgrade over the 4,400mAh battery in the predecessor.

The price increases are mainly being blamed on rising costs of components like memory (DRAM and NAND). Demo units have already shown up in Samsung stores in South Korea, with color options like light blue for the Fold 8 and black for the Ultra and Flip 8. The Fold8 also features a distinctive black decorative strip on the hinge.

The post Galaxy Z Fold 8, Fold 8 Ultra, Flip 8 US prices leaked: Ultra starts at $2099 appeared first on Gizmochina.

Samsung is getting ready to launch its next generation of foldables, and the latest leak points to a significant camera upgrade for the Ultra model.

According to a report out of South Korea, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is expected to upgrade its ultra-wide camera from 12MP to a much sharper 50MP sensor. That’s a solid jump and should bring better detail, improved low-light performance, and more versatile wide-angle shots.

The rest of the Ultra’s triple camera setup is expected to stay mostly familiar: a 200MP main sensor and a 10MP 3x telephoto lens. Combined with the new ultra-wide, it could finally give the Fold a more balanced and capable camera system.

For comparison, the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 (sometimes called the “Wide” variant in leaks) is rumored to have a dual rear setup with a 50MP main and a 50MP ultra-wide. The Z Flip 8, on the other hand, doesn’t look like it’s getting major camera changes: it’s likely sticking with the same 50MP main + 12MP ultra-wide combo as before.

These camera improvements fit into the bigger picture for Samsung’s 2026 foldables. We’re also hearing about slimmer designs, better hinges with less visible creases, and improved performance.

The Z Fold 8 Ultra, in particular, is shaping up to be the most capable model in Samsung’s eighth-generation foldable lineup, with the largest display, biggest battery, and best camera hardware.

Of course, these details are still based on supply chain leaks and haven’t been officially confirmed by Samsung yet. The company is expected to unveil the full Z Fold 8 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, 2026.

If the reports are accurate, that 50MP ultra-wide upgrade on the Ultra model could be one of the more noticeable improvements for foldables this year, finally addressing a weak point from previous generations and making the phone feel a bit more competitive with traditional flagships.

While there won’t be as many new smartphones as we are used to seeing next month due to rising memory costs and the ongoing chip crisis, there are still a few exciting launches lined up for July 2026. Oppo will unveil its Reno 16 mid-range lineup, while Nothing is preparing to launch its Phone (4b) with cut-down specifications.

Samsung could release the next-gen foldable phones next month, while Motorola is reportedly looking to bring its Razr 70 foldable phones into the Indian market in the same month.

5 Best upcoming smartphone launches: July 2026 edition

1. Oppo Reno 16 series

Launch date: July 2, 2026 (confirmed)

Oppo is expected to unveil two phones in the Reno 16 series at the upcoming event: the Reno 16 and the Reno 16c. The former will be a compact, premium mid-range phone, while the latter will sit below it with a slightly larger form factor.

Oppo Reno 16

The Reno 16 is confirmed to have a 6.32-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1800nits. It will also have a new AI Snap Key for quickly saving content to MindSpace, similar to OnePlus’s AI Plus Key.

The smartphone will offer a versatile camera setup, featuring a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. All three sensors can capture 4K video at 60 fps. The selfie camera also has a 50MP resolution.

The Reno 16 is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. It will reportedly have a 6700mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. Plus, it carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, ensuring great protection against water and dust.

Oppo Reno 16c

The Reno 16c is expected to be an affordable sibling, featuring a 6.57-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1400nits of peak brightness. It could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy processor.

The smartphone is said to have a 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging. Like the Reno 16, the 16c also features the AI Snap Key, an aerospace-grade aluminum frame, and IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings.

2. Nothing Phone (4b)

Launch date: July 7, 2026 (confirmed)

Nothing Phone (4b) marks the debut of the company’s new “B” series. With this new product line, Nothing aims to bring its core user experience to a wider audience. The Phone (4b) will feature a compact Glyph Bar with five LED panels on the rear side.

The phone reportedly features a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Official teasers confirm that it will feature dual rear cameras, including a 50MP primary camera and an 8MP ultrawide lens. It’s said to have a 32MP selfie camera.

Leaked benchmark listings have revealed that the Nothing Phone (4b) will be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. The phone is said to house a 5,400mAh battery with 50W fast charging support.

3. Galaxy Z Fold 8 series

Launch date: July 22, 2026 (expected)

New Galaxy foldables are expected to drop next month, but this time, Samsung may also introduce an “Ultra” model of its next-gen book-style foldable. So, we’re expecting three new foldables: Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8.

Galaxy Z Fold 8

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 may not look familiar to previous generations, as Samsung is reportedly shifting to a wider 4:3 passport-style form factor for this device. This decision is rumored to have been influenced by Apple’s decision to make its first foldable with the same form factor.

The Fold 8 is leaked to offer a 7.6-inch AMOLED screen, and the cover screen could measure 5.4 inches. It could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB storage.

According to recent leaks, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will have a dual rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary camera and a 50MP ultrawide unit. No 200MP camera this time. It may feature two 10MP selfie cameras, one on the cover screen and another on the foldable inner screen. The Fold 8 is expected to pack a 4800mAh battery with support for 45W wired and 15W wireless charging.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra

While the standard Fold 8 will have a wider form factor, the Fold 8 Ultra retains the previous-generation form factor, paired with more powerful hardware. According to leaks, the Ultra phone will have an 8-inch folding screen, a 6.5-inch cover display, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy at the helm.

The phone is said to feature a triple rear camera setup, including a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide unit, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. It will have a vapor chamber for cooling, and a 5000mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging.

4. Galaxy Z Flip 8

Launch date: July 22, 2026 (expected)

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 will launch alongside the new book-style foldable phones at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. Leaks say the phone will have a 6.9-inch AMOLED main screen with reduced crease visibility, a 4.1-inch cover screen, and a 4,300mAh battery with support for 25W fast wired charging. It may also offer 15W wireless charging.

Samsung is expected to follow a dual-chip strategy for the Galaxy Z Flip 8: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy for the US, Canada, China, and Japan, and the Exynos 2600 for India and other markets. It will reportedly feature a dual camera setup on the back, including a 50MP primary camera and a 12MP ultrawide unit. It may have a 10MP selfie camera.

5. Motorola Razr 70 series

Launch: July 2026 (expected)

Motorola is reportedly bringing the premium Razr 70 series phones to the Indian market in July 2026. The rollout will likely include the standard Razr 70 and the premium Razr 70 Ultra.

Motorola Razr 70

The Razr 70 foldable phone has a 6.9-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and 3000nits of peak brightness. The 3.6-inch cover screen features HDR10+ and a 90Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7450X chipset and offers a 4800mAh battery with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging support.

The smartphone has a dual camera setup, featuring a 50MP primary camera and a 50MP ultrawide unit. It also has a 32MP selfie snapper, but you can use the rear cameras for better quality shots.

Motorola Razr 70 Ultra

The Razr 70 Ultra upgrades to a much more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. It has a 7.0-inch main screen with a 165Hz refresh rate and 5000nits of peak brightness, and a 4-inch cover screen.

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary camera and a 50MP ultrawide shooter, the same as the Razr 70. However, the selfie camera resolution jumps to 50MP. The phone has a 5000mAh battery capacity and supports 68W wired and 30W wireless charging. It also supports 5W reverse-wired charging to power your accessories.

A fresh round of accessory leaks from case maker Thinborne may have given us an early look at Samsung‘s next foldables, including the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.

The case for the Galaxy Z Flip 8 looks fairly unsurprising. Based on the leaked renders, Samsung doesn’t appear to be making any major changes to the overall design.

The Fold lineup is where things start to get more interesting.

We have been seeing renders and dummy units of the wider Fold model for some time now, but the leaked cases add another piece of evidence pointing in the same direction.

The fact that accessory makers are already producing cases based on these dimensions also lends some credibility to the rumors. Case manufacturers typically work from supply chain information and early device measurements, which suggests the wider aspect ratio and revised camera layout we’ve been seeing in leaks may be reasonably close to the final product.

Samsung’s tall and narrow Fold design has its fans, but several competing foldables have already moved toward wider displays, and the response has generally been positive.

The wider form factor may also give Samsung more room to differentiate an “Ultra” model without completely reworking the formula.

According to current rumors, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra could be slightly slimmer than the Fold 7 while packing a larger 5,000mAh battery, a notable jump from the 4,400mAh capacity Samsung has used for several generations.

The Fold 8 Ultra case image doesn’t reveal much on its own, but it does support the idea that Samsung is focusing on refinement rather than a dramatic redesign.

One detail that stood out, however, is the mention of Samsung’s Carbon Standing Case. It has a built-in stand makes a lot of sense on a large foldable, particularly for watching videos, video calls, or using the device at a desk.

Taken together, the leaks suggest Samsung is continuing to expand its foldable strategy rather than simply releasing yearly upgrades.

Samsung is expected to unveil the new foldables during its next Galaxy Unpacked event next month.

Samsung‘s next foldable may finally address one of the most common complaints about the Galaxy Z Fold series.

According to Ice Universe, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is expected to feature a 5,000mAh battery paired with 45W wired charging. If accurate, that would be a noticeable step up from the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which shipped with a 4,400mAh battery and 25W charging.

Samsung has kept the Fold series at 4,400mAh for several generations, even as competitors like the Oppo Find N6 and the Honor Magic V5 have reached the 6,000mAh mark. A jump to 5,000mAh would not suddenly make the rumored Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra a battery monster, but it would certainly narrow the gap.

What’s particularly interesting is that the larger battery reportedly comes without any penalty in size or weight. Ice Universe claims the Fold 8 Ultra will remain around 215g while measuring roughly 4.1mm unfolded and 8.9mm folded.

Current rumors point to two different Fold models. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is expected to retain the familiar tall-and-narrow form factor Samsung has used for years. Meanwhile, the wider Fold variant, which earlier leaks referred to as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, is rumored to adopt a shorter and noticeably wider design. Recent reports suggest Samsung may ultimately market that device simply as the Galaxy Z Fold 8.

The wider model is also rumored to receive battery and charging upgrades of its own. Some reports point to a 4,800mAh battery combined with the same 45W charging support.

The battery upgrade may end up being one of the biggest changes in the Fold 8 lineup. Bigger batteries benefit users every single day, long after the excitement surrounding new designs and specifications wears off.

The post Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra specs tipped: packs larger battery, weighs the same, gets even slimmer appeared first on Gizmochina.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has reportedly surfaced in certification records, offering an early indication of the company’s plans for the next generation of foldable smartphones. The listing appears to confirm the device’s existence and suggests that Samsung could be preparing a broader launch strategy for the Japanese market.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra Bluetooth SIG certified

According to a report by Sumahodigest, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra has been spotted in the Bluetooth SIG database. The publication claims that multiple model numbers linked to the device have appeared in certification records, pointing to availability through several major Japanese mobile operators as well as an unlocked version.

As can be seen in the image above, the reported model numbers include:

–  SC-56G for NTT Docomo

– SCG39 for Au

– SM-F976C for Rakuten Mobile

– SM-F976Q for the SIM-free variant

– SM-F976Z for SoftBank

If accurate, this would mean Samsung plans to make the device available through all major carrier channels in Japan. However, we were unable to locate the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra listing on the Bluetooth SIG database independently, so this report should be taken with a pinch of salt until further confirmation emerges.

One of the most notable aspects of the leak is the use of the “Ultra” branding. Samsung’s Fold series has traditionally followed a simpler naming strategy, making this the first time an Ultra-branded Fold model has been linked to the lineup.

Previous rumors have suggested that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra could retain a design philosophy similar to earlier Fold models, while a separate Galaxy Z Fold 8 variant may adopt a wider display format. This has led to speculation that Samsung could be reorganizing its foldable portfolio based on form factor and screen proportions rather than following a straightforward premium-versus-standard approach.

The wider Fold 8 model remains surrounded by uncertainty, particularly regarding its availability outside select markets. For now, the certification record appears to focus only on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. With Samsung expected to unveil its next foldables in the coming months, more details about specifications, pricing and the differences between the two models could surface soon.

The post Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra moniker reportedly spotted via Bluetooth SIG certification appeared first on Gizmochina.

Samsung’s next foldables may arrive with simpler names than previously expected. According to a new leak from Ice Universe, the company could be dropping the confusing “Wide” and “Large” branding that had been floating around recent rumors for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 lineup.

Instead, the device previously rumored as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide may launch simply as the Galaxy Z Fold 8, while the higher-end model could reportedly debut as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.

If accurate, the change would make Samsung’s foldable lineup much easier to understand. Names like “Z Fold 8 Wide” and “Galaxy Z Wide Fold” have appeared in leaks over the past few months, but many people felt the branding sounded awkward and unnecessarily complicated.

The rumored Ultra model is expected to sit above the standard Fold 8 with a few notable hardware upgrades. Current reports suggest it could feature a larger 5000mAh battery along with a more advanced triple-camera setup that includes a dedicated telephoto lens. Meanwhile, the regular Fold 8 is tipped to use a slightly smaller 4800mAh battery and a simpler dual-camera system.

Both devices are still expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and refined foldable displays, although the standard model may adopt a more compact aspect ratio compared to the Ultra variant.

Samsung is widely expected to unveil the new foldables during its usual summer Galaxy Unpacked event in July 2026. Recent rumors have pointed toward a possible launch event in London, although Samsung has not officially confirmed any details yet.

The move toward clearer branding also makes sense as competition in the foldable segment continues to grow. Chinese brands have been aggressively improving their foldables over the past year, and Apple’s long-rumored entry into the category continues to loom in the background.
