Sony has added a new headset to its INZONE gaming lineup with the launch of the INZONE H6 Wired Air. It is positioned as a lightweight, open-back option for players who rely on sound accuracy during gameplay.

The biggest change here is the open-back design. Unlike closed gaming headsets, the earcups are not sealed, which reduces internal echo and makes the sound feel more natural. In practice, this creates a wider soundstage, making it easier to pick up direction and distance of in-game audio.

Sony is using custom-tuned drivers based on its MDR-MV1 studio headphones. These have been adjusted for gaming use. The headset also includes back ducts built into the driver unit to manage airflow. This helps deliver deeper bass without muddying mid-range sounds, so footsteps, dialogue, and background details remain clear.

The audio profile has been tuned with input from sound teams at PlayStation Studios. There is a dedicated RPG and Adventure equalizer setting that boosts environmental detail and depth. Beyerdynamic has added two new models to its MMX gaming headset series, the MMX 150 wireless and the MMX 230 wireless. Both will be available in Europe and Canada through the beyerdynamic e-shop in Q4 2025.

The headsets are being showcased this week at Gamescom 2025 in Cologne. In partnership with Freaks 4U Gaming, four gaming stations are equipped with the MMX 150 wireless for visitors to try. The MMX 230 wireless is also on display for the first time.

The MMX 150 wireless is built for casual gaming and everyday use. It offers up to 50 hours of battery life and is compatible with consoles, PCs, and mobile devices, featuring fast pairing and plug-and-play setup. A detachable META VOICE microphone with sidetone allows players to hear their own voice in real time for accurate communication. The microphone is an electret condenser with a 20–20,000 Hz range and instant mute control. It can be removed to use the headset as standard headphones. Razer has launched the new BlackShark V3 Pro series, a lineup of wireless gaming headsets built for esports. The series includes versions for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, each offering low-latency wireless audio, clear communication, and platform-specific sound tuning.

The BlackShark V3 Pro is the first headset to feature Razer’s Gen-2 HyperSpeed Wireless technology. Sony had recently launched its latest entry in premium headphones, the WH-1000XM5. Now, it appears that the company is planning on introducing a new series of gaming headphones in the market soon.

According to a 91Mobiles report, the Japanese tech giant is gearing up to launch three new INZONE series of gaming headphones. This includes the INZONE H3, INZONE H7, and INZONE H9. The leak was shared by OnLeaks, who also shared a key feature of all three headphones, which is the 360 degree spatial sound. So let’s have a look:

INZONE H3

Talking about the lowest entry in the lineup, the INZONE H3 will be the more affordable model out of the three and is also the only headphones in the series that is wired. Furthermore, the device comes with a black mic attached to the left earcup of the headphones. Looking at the leaked images, we can observe an LED indicator, USB Type C port, NC/AMB (noise cancelling/Ambient Sound Mode) button, and a volume scroll wheel under the microphone.

INZONE H7

Moving forward, we have the mid tier INZONE H7 is the second headphone in the series. It features wireless connectivity option and appears to have a similar design to the lower end H3 model. Although, one visible difference is that the mic is colored white and the “Sony” branding is in a different spot. Apart from this, the Sony INZONE H7 houses a GAME/CHAT button on the right earcup along with a Bluetooth button pair the headphones with another device/computer and a power button. The INZONE H7 also supports USB Type C port and has a USB dongle to connect the device to a computer or laptop.

INZONE H9

Arriving at the last and the top end model within the series, the INZONE H9 gaming headphones is the most expensive entry in the upcoming lineup. It has a design akin to the INZONE H7 but it also has an LED light. The placements of the microphone and the buttons are also identical to the INZONE H7. Users are also offered USB Type C port and a USB dongle for wireless connectivity options. Although, the INZONE H9 is the only model in the series that features noise cancelling alongside 360 spatial sound for gaming.

The ASUS ROG Fusion II 500 will be priced at Rs. 22,999 ($307), while ASUS has not yet released the price of the Fusion II 300. Razer has a new pair of Bluetooth headphones but it is not designed for consoles. However, the low-latency gaming mode of the Razer Opus X makes it great for mobile gaming.

The Opus X is a cheaper version of the original Opus with a price tag of $99.99, half the price of the latter. The new wireless headset comes in Mercury, Quartz, and Green (exclusive to Razer.com). It has a padded leatherette headband and rotatable ear cups with leatherette ear cushions.

Razer has equipped the headphones with custom-tuned 40mm drivers that provide a rich audio experience. There are internal microphones that pick up your voice when you use the headset for voice calls, and Razer claims that those on the other end can hear you with “perfect clarity”.

The Razer Opus X has Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) that blocks out the noise when watching a movie or listening to your favorite podcast. There is also a feature called Quick Attention Mode that allows outside sound in when activated. This comes in handy when you are outdoors or need to be aware of what is going on around you.

As stated above, the headset is not designed for consoles as Razer has special headphones for the PlayStation and Xbox. However, the 60ms low latency gaming mode of the Opus X makes it great for mobile gaming on your phone or tablet.

The Opus X has a battery life of up to 30 hours (up to 40 hours with ANC off). It charges through a USB-C port and connects via Bluetooth 5.0. On one of the earcups are the volume control buttons, power button, multifunction button, and LED indicator. The power button doubles as the ANC button and for activating Quick Attention Mode.
