Garmin is further positioning itself in pursuit of a market share in the booming smartwatch segment of India’s tech market. The company has unveiled two of its new offering in India, with a launch of the Garmin Venu 2 and the Venu 2S GPS smartwatches.

Both the Venu 2 and Venu 2S come with excellent and innovative features like the Health Snapshot functionality that enables users to log in vital health measurements to provide an overview of their health and fitness status via a report. The report can be assessed and evaluated when connected with the Garmin Connect app. The app is compatible with both the Android operating system and iOS. The two-minute health walkthrough provides an array of data from users, which can be used for wellness and other health therapies. The two devices are capable of seamlessly tracking health statistics which can be accessed through the Health Snapshot.

Both smartwatches feature an AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla glass and an array of important sensors that make these smart wearables catch the attention of health and wellness enthusiasts and practitioners. Several additional Activity Profiles are available for the two devices, together with expanded modes for various exercises both indoors and outdoors. Sleep patterns can also be monitored using the sleep sensor and several other metrics of health and wellness. Hundreds of music can also be downloaded via Spotify or Amazon Music.

The devices also come with great battery support, as the devices have upwards of 10 days of activity on a full charge. Some savings may be achieved when using the Smartwatch mode, as compared with the GPS mode. Rapid recharging is also possible for the two smartwatches.

The Venu 2 and Venu 2S GPS smartwatches will be available on Amazon India, Flipkart, and a mixture of online and offline outlets across the country. The Garmin Venu 2 is priced at Rs. 49,990 (~$670), while the Venu 2S will retail for Rs. 37,990 (~$511) in India.
