GBoost has unveiled a new e-bike conversion kit that can transform any bicycle into an e-bike within 10 minutes. The GBoost V8 Kit is a fun, do-it-yourself conversion kit that will appeal to several customers.

The V8 Kit is a compact, lightweight, and quiet device to install. The company says it can be installed on any bicycle and it weighs just 950g. The lightweight design of the conversion kit means that it can be carried out on trips and used on even a rental bicycle. The V8 kit has a maximum power output of 900W. Its design however potentially results in power losses. The power is transferred to the back wheel via a roller system.

The motor is not sufficiently sturdy to withstand off-road riding and it can be damaged easily in such scenarios. This is because rock or debris could cause the roller to wear down rapidly.

The GBoost V8 kit is appropriate for urban commuting and leisure rides on urban roads. The bike conversion kit is offered in three battery configurations. The first option comes with a 250Wh battery, while the second option is a 375Wh battery pack. The top battery option is the 453Wh pack.
