Google’s newest AI model, Gemini 3 Pro, has been getting plenty of praise for its raw capability — but a recent report out of South Korea is now questioning whether its safety has kept pace. According to local outlet Maeil Business Newspaper, a Seoul-based AI security company says it managed to jailbreak the system and get responses on topics that should be completely off-limits.

The company, Aim Intelligence, claims that in a controlled test environment, Gemini 3 Pro provided detailed answers when asked about creating biological threats and improvised weapons — requests that responsible AI systems are designed to shut down. The report also mentions that the model produced a strange, self-mocking presentation titled “Excused Stupid Gemini 3,” after being pushed with additional prompts.

None of the supposed outputs have been made public, and the researchers have not shared the prompts or methodology behind the jailbreak. Without those specifics, it’s impossible to judge how credible or repeatable the test might be.

Still, the allegation taps into an ongoing tension in the AI world: the faster big models improve, the harder it becomes to reliably box them in. Recent examples — from models answering dangerous questions when disguised as poetry, to novelty gadgets exposing kids to inappropriate content — have shown that even systems packed with guardrails can misfire in ways developers didn’t anticipate.

Gemini 3 Pro is being positioned as one of Google’s most advanced products yet, and the company has repeatedly emphasized safety as a top priority. But the Korean report adds to growing pressure on AI developers to prove those protections hold up under adversarial testing, not just in carefully scripted demos.

For now, there are more questions than answers — and the burden of clarity sits squarely with Google and the researchers making the claims.

Google‘s Gemini is no longer just a phone-first AI assistant; it’s now on your wrist, fundamentally changing how you interact with your smartwatch. Since its rollout earlier this year, Gemini has begun replacing Google Assistant on smartwatches running Wear OS 4 and above.

Whether you own a Pixel Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 8, or OnePlus Watch 3, Gemini has arrived to turn your smartwatch into a more helpful, conversational, and context-aware tool.

Smarter than basic voice commands

Gemini for Wear OS isn’t just a name swap. Google rebuilt the assistant experience to be more intelligent, responsive, and useful across everyday scenarios. Instead of basic prompts like “set a timer” or “call Mom,” you can now ask Gemini to summarize your last email from Emily, create a running playlist, or remember that you parked on level 4, spot 27.

It uses the same foundational AI models as on phones and tablets, which allows for far more natural interactions. Gemini understands follow-up questions, interprets your intent with greater precision, and surfaces contextual results by tapping into your Gmail, Calendar, and other Google services. It’s the closest thing to having a lightweight AI companion right on your wrist, one that understands more than just commands.

Do more with fewer steps

Using Gemini on a smartwatch simplifies tasks that typically require multiple app hops. Mid-run, you can dictate a message to your manager without breaking stride. You can schedule a reminder for your kid’s next five cricket matches or ask for turn-by-turn directions to your dentist, all through voice.

It supports hotword detection “Hey Google”, app icon tapping, or pressing and holding the side button. Some watches even allow “Raise to Talk” gestures to wake Gemini when you lift your wrist.

All this means that the watch becomes a true productivity tool, not just a notification mirror. You don’t need to pull out your phone to check your schedule, respond to a quick email, or get updates. You just talk.

Deep integration with Google services

The biggest strength of Gemini lies in its ability to pull data from your Google account. It can read recent emails, look up locations mentioned in messages, check your calendar for conflicting events, or draft quick replies, all without requiring your phone to be unlocked.

And if your watch upgrades to Wear OS 6, Gemini’s utility jumps even higher. That’s because Wear OS 6 introduces a new App Functions API, letting Gemini control or extract data from brand-specific watch apps.

On Samsung watches, for example, this could mean better integration with Samsung Health or Calendar. On Pixel, it could pull from Recorder or Weather. It marks a step toward more personalized and brand-aware assistants.

Tiny but practical features

Beyond smart replies and deep app hooks, Gemini is useful for the small stuff too. You can tell it to remember your locker number, your preferred coffee order, or where you left your sunglasses.

Reminders can be location-aware. If you leave work, it can ping you to pick up groceries. If you ask for heart rate tracking or a workout summary, Gemini can trigger the supported app if it has those permissions.

It also works with Google Home devices, letting you broadcast messages, adjust lights, or check if the door’s locked, all from your wrist, even with hands full.

Google has officially introduced Gemini 3, its most advanced AI model to date. This new release builds on the foundation laid by Gemini 1 and 2, adding major upgrades in reasoning, multimodal understanding, and agent-based coding. Gemini 3 now powers several Google products, including Search, the Gemini app, and the company’s new developer platform, Google Antigravity.

Smarter, More Honest Answers

Gemini 3 marks a shift in how Google wants its AI to interact with users. The model avoids pleasantries and focuses on delivering accurate, clear, and helpful answers. Google says Gemini 3 gives smart, direct responses that focus on real insights instead of repeating user expectations.

This update reflects Google’s broader goal of turning AI into a thought partner. Gemini 3 understands subtle context and adapts its tone based on the task. Google claims this makes the AI more honest and productive during real-world use.

Better at Understanding Everything

Gemini 3 supports native multimodality. The system can handle text, images, video, audio, and code in one workflow. Users can upload mixed content such as handwritten notes, screenshots, or full lectures, and the model can interpret everything together. It can then generate interactive flashcards, concise summaries, or visual simulations based on the material

Google has increased the model’s context window to one million tokens. This lets Gemini 3 read and retain extremely long documents and conversations, improving performance on research-heavy or academic tasks.

Leading All the Benchmarks

Gemini 3 outperforms other frontier models across nearly all major AI benchmarks. It currently ranks first on the LMArena leaderboard with an Elo score of 1501. The model scores 91.9% on GPQA Diamond, 37.5% on Humanity’s Last Exam, and 23.4% on MathArena Apex.

For multimodal tests, Gemini 3 achieves 81% on MMMU-Pro and 87.6% on Video-MMMU. Its factual accuracy reaches 72.1% on SimpleQA Verified. These results show Gemini 3’s strength in both academic reasoning and real-world problem solving.

For developers, Gemini 3 leads the WebDev Arena with a score of 1487. It achieves 76.2% on SWE-Bench Verified and 54.2% on Terminal-Bench 2.0. These benchmarks confirm its skill in software development, command-line tasks, and autonomous coding.

Agents That Can Code on Their Own

Google has launched a new agentic development platform called Antigravity. The platform is powered by Gemini 3 and allows agents to write, test, and execute code across a full development environment. Gemini agents can access the code editor, browser, and terminal directly.

The system uses Gemini 3’s reasoning and tool-use skills to handle full-stack software tasks. In internal tests, it planned and built a working flight tracker app from scratch. The agent validated its work using browser-based simulations without human guidance.

Interactive Results in Search

Gemini 3 is now available in Google Search’s AI Mode. It powers dynamic visual layouts, interactive tools, and simulations directly in search results. When users ask complex questions, Gemini 3 creates real-time responses that include tables, charts, or even custom calculators.

If someone searches for topics like orbital physics or financial comparisons, Gemini 3 can generate interactive modules to help explain the results. These are generated using its built-in code writing and UI design capabilities.

New Advances in Training

Google DeepMind researchers credit Gemini 3’s success to progress in both pre-training and post-training. VP Oriol Vinyals said the improvements from Gemini 2.5 to 3.0 were the largest the team had seen. He also said pre-training had not hit a limit and there was still room to grow.

Many experts believed models had exhausted the internet’s public data. Google appears to have found ways to extract more value from existing data or has used internal datasets unavailable to competitors. This gives Google a long-term advantage in building next-generation AI systems.

Stronger Safety and Testing

Google says Gemini 3 is its safest model yet. The system has been tested against prompt injections, flattery behaviors, and misuse risks. External security groups like Vaultis and Dreadnode took part in the evaluations. Google also partnered with organizations such as the UK AISI for responsible development reviews.

Gemini 3 Pro is now available globally through the Gemini app and Google Search’s AI Mode for Pro and Ultra subscribers. The more advanced “Deep Think” version is still under safety review and will launch later.

In related AI news, iFlytek has introduced its AI Translation Earbuds with an open-ear design, real-time interpreting, and up to forty-two hours of battery life.

Apple Turns to Google for AI Upgrade

Apple is in final talks with Google to integrate its powerful Gemini AI model into Siri, marking one of the biggest artificial intelligence partnerships in the tech industry. The deal, worth around US$1 billion per year, aims to overhaul Siri’s capabilities and bring Apple up to speed in the fast-moving AI race. According to Bloomberg, the Gemini-powered Siri could launch by spring 2026 with iOS 26.4.

AI Generated Image

A Smarter, More Capable Siri

Currently, Siri runs on Apple’s in-house cloud AI with around 150 billion parameters. Under the new agreement, it will tap into Google’s Gemini model, which boasts 1.2 trillion parameters, nearly eight times more powerful. The upgrade will allow Siri to better understand complex commands, summarise information, and plan multi-step tasks.

Internally, the Siri revamp is known as “Linwood”, while the larger AI project is called “Glenwood.” The effort is being led by Apple executives Craig Federighi and Mike Rockwell, the creator of the Vision Pro headset.

Privacy and Performance

Despite using Google’s AI, Apple will maintain strict privacy controls. Gemini will operate on Apple’s Private Cloud Compute (PCC) servers, ensuring user data remains isolated from Google’s infrastructure. All processing will be temporary, with no data stored between sessions, reinforcing Apple’s privacy-first image.

However, this setup means Apple must expand its cloud hardware to handle Gemini’s massive size, potentially increasing costs and system load.

Why Apple Chose Google

Apple reportedly tested multiple AI models, including OpenAI’s GPT and Anthropic’s Claude, before selecting Gemini for its contextual understanding, scalability, and integration flexibility. While the deal gives Apple a major AI boost, it’s seen as a temporary arrangement until Apple completes its own 1-trillion-parameter AI model.

In markets like China, where Google services are banned, Apple plans to rely on its in-house models and local partners like Alibaba for regulatory compliance.

Strategic Implications

The collaboration marks a shift in Apple’s strategy, from building everything internally to selectively partnering with industry leaders. While the partnership won’t be publicly branded like the Safari-Google Search deal, it highlights how Apple is adapting to remain competitive in generative AI.

Both Apple and Google stocks rose after reports of the deal, signaling investor optimism. Once launched, the Gemini-powered Siri could redefine what voice assistants are capable of, blending power, privacy, and intelligence in a way that reshapes the AI landscape.

With Gemini built into Maps, users can ask for things like “Find a budget-friendly restaurant with vegan options along my route” and “What’s parking like there?” before saying “OK, let’s go there.” Gemini can also handle connected tasks, such as “Add a calendar event for soccer practice tomorrow at 5 p.m.” Once permission is given, it syncs directly with Google Calendar. Drivers can also ask about popular dishes, get news updates, or check sports scores while navigating.

Google has also made it simpler to report road conditions. Drivers can say, “I see an accident,” “There’s flooding ahead,” or “Watch out for that slowdown” to share traffic updates right away. The Gemini-powered navigation will start rolling out in the coming weeks on Android and iOS, with Android Auto support coming soon.

Maps will also start giving directions based on real-world landmarks instead of distance markers. Instead of hearing “Turn right in 500 feet,” users will get clearer guidance like “Turn right after the Thai Siam Restaurant,” with the landmark shown on the map. This update uses data from more than 250 million mapped places and Street View images to identify visible landmarks. Landmark-based navigation is now rolling out on Android and iOS in the U.S.

Google Maps is also adding proactive traffic alerts. Even if you are not navigating, Maps can now notify you about unexpected road closures or heavy traffic ahead. This feature is rolling out on Android in the U.S.

Lastly, the new Lens feature built with Gemini lets you explore places visually. By pointing your phone’s camera at a restaurant or store, you can ask questions like “What’s this place known for?” or “What’s the vibe inside?” Lens with Gemini will begin rolling out later this month in the U.S. on Android and iOS.

Kai Tang, President of Software Engineering at OPPO, said, “Working closely with partners like Google allows us to integrate next-generation AI experiences that are not only powerful but also highly personalized and secure.”

Mind Space integrated with Gemini

A key part of this collaboration is a new app called Mind Space, launching with the OPPO Find X9 Series, which is scheduled to debut on October 28. Mind Space helps users collect and organize on-screen content, such as text, images, or web pages, using a simple three-finger swipe. All saved content is stored in one place and automatically sorted for easy access.

OPPO has worked with Google to connect Mind Space to Gemini. This integration allows Gemini to access content from Mind Space and help users take action with it. For example, someone planning a trip can save articles and notes in Mind Space and then ask Gemini to create a detailed itinerary. Users can choose exactly what Gemini can see or use from within Mind Space, keeping control over their data.

Gemini-powered features on Find X9 Series

Gemini will also work with other OPPO apps. Users can chat with Gemini to get help, edit photos using the Nano Banana image editing model, or ask questions through Gemini Live. Gemini Live can respond to what users see on their screen or through their camera, offering visual help such as showing steps to fix a device or organize storage.

Built on privacy and trust

All these features are backed by OPPO’s AI Private Computing Cloud, which uses Google Cloud’s confidential computing services. This setup ensures that all AI processing happens in a secure and encrypted environment. Sensitive data remains private and cannot be accessed by any third party, including OPPO.

Launching with Find X9 Series

The full range of these AI features will be available on the OPPO Find X9 Series and ColorOS 16. Buyers of the Find X9 or Find X9 Pro will get a free three-month subscription to Google AI Pro, which includes access to premium Gemini tools and 2TB of cloud storage.

Google has released a new AI model called Gemini 2.5 Computer Use. The model allows AI agents to interact with websites and user interfaces the way a human would. It is now available in public preview via the Gemini API on Google AI Studio and Vertex AI.

The model builds on Gemini 2.5 Pro’s visual understanding and reasoning capabilities. It can perform a wide range of browser-based actions such as clicking, typing, scrolling, hovering, opening dropdowns, and navigating through URLs. Google says the model outperforms competing tools on several benchmarks, including Online-Mind2Web, WebVoyager, and AndroidWorld, while maintaining lower latency.

Unlike traditional AI models that rely on APIs, Gemini 2.5 Computer Use processes screenshots of web interfaces and generates specific UI actions in response. The agent receives a task prompt, a screenshot of the digital environment, and a history of recent actions. It then analyzes the interface and returns a UI action, such as clicking a button or typing into a field. The action is executed on the client side, and a new screenshot is sent back to the model to continue the task in a loop.

Google demonstrated the model’s performance with examples that show the agent sorting sticky notes on a digital whiteboard and transferring pet details from one website to a CRM system. The demo videos are accelerated to show the process in real time.

The model supports 13 actions currently and works best with web browsers. Google said it is not yet optimized for desktop OS-level tasks, though it has shown potential on mobile benchmarks.

Google has also implemented safety measures to prevent misuse. Each action proposed by the model is reviewed by a safety service before execution. Developers can restrict certain actions or require explicit user confirmation for high-risk tasks like financial transactions.

Several internal Google teams are already using the model in production. It supports UI testing and automation tasks across platforms such as Search and Firebase. External developers in the early access program have used the model to build workflow automation and assistant tools.

Developers can start using the model through Google AI Studio or Vertex AI. Google also provides a demo environment via Browserbase for testing and experimentation.

AI chatbots have become subscription services much like music and video streaming platforms. Each company now has different pricing tiers designed to attract casual users, professionals, and enterprises. Here is a detailed look at the major players and what they offer.

ChatGPT (by OpenAI)

OpenAI continues to lead the market with ChatGPT. The free plan gives users access to GPT-5 with usage limits, enough for simple queries and casual use.

The ChatGPT Plus plan costs $20 per month globally or ₹1,999 in India. It unlocks unlimited use of GPT-5 and GPT-4o, advanced tools such as web browsing, data analysis, and image generation, as well as custom GPT creation. Plus subscribers also receive early access to new features.

The ChatGPT Pro tier, priced at about $200 per month or ₹19,900 in India, is aimed at heavier workloads. It increases usage capacity, adds customization, and provides enterprise-grade security.

OpenAI also introduced ChatGPT Go in select regions like India at ₹399 per month. It delivers GPT-5 access with higher limits than the free tier but does not include advanced features such as Sora video generation.

At the enterprise level, ChatGPT Enterprise offers unlimited GPT-5 and GPT-4o access with no usage caps, extended context windows, SOC 2-compliant security, and admin tools. Pricing is custom-based on business needs.

Gemini (by Google)

Google’s Gemini is closely tied to its ecosystem. The free tier allows access to Gemini 2.5 Flash and Gemini 2.5 Pro for basic conversations.

The main paid plan is Gemini Advanced, part of the Google One AI Premium subscription priced at $19.99 per month. This plan includes 2TB of cloud storage and unlocks Gemini 2.5 Pro with higher limits, a 1 million–token context window, file analysis features, and video generation powered by Veo 3.

Gemini Ultra is available at $249.99 per month for users who want the most powerful access, including experimental features and video generation with sound.

For enterprises, Google provides Gemini access through Google Cloud with custom pricing and token-based API billing.

Microsoft Copilot

Microsoft integrates Copilot across Windows, Office, and mobile apps. The free version provides basic assistance.

Copilot Pro, priced at $20 per month, adds priority access to OpenAI’s latest models, faster image creation with Microsoft Designer, and direct integration with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A Microsoft 365 subscription is required for Office features.

Copilot for Microsoft 365 costs $30 per user per month and extends Copilot into the full Microsoft suite with enterprise-grade security.

Perplexity

Perplexity positions itself as an AI-powered search engine. The free tier gives limited Pro Searches each day.

Perplexity Pro costs $20 per month or $200 annually. Subscribers receive over 300 Pro Searches daily, access to GPT-5 and Claude, unlimited file uploads, and image generation.

The Enterprise Pro plan costs $40 per user per month and adds private knowledge hubs, administrative controls, and strict privacy protections.

Claude (by Anthropic)

Claude is popular for long-form writing and research tasks. The free plan offers basic access to the AI.

Claude Pro costs $20 per month and expands usage limits, giving access to Claude Sonnet 4 and extended conversations.

Claude Max starts at $100 per month and provides much higher usage, larger output capacity, and early access to new features.

API pricing ranges from $0.25 per 1M tokens for Claude Haiku to $75 per 1M output tokens for Claude Opus.

Grok (by xAI)

Grok, developed by Elon Musk’s xAI, is integrated into the X platform. There is no free version. Access is bundled with X Premium+ at $16 per month.

The chatbot delivers real-time answers based on X’s live feed and uses a witty, sarcastic style. It is less about productivity and more about social interaction.

Jasper

Jasper is built for content marketing rather than general conversation. There is no free plan.

The Creator plan costs $49 per month, while the Pro plan is priced at $69 per month. Enterprise users can negotiate custom pricing under the Business plan.

Jasper includes more than 50 templates for content creation, SEO optimization, and integrations with marketing platforms.

Poe (by Quora)

Poe acts as a central hub for AI chatbots from multiple providers. The free plan provides limited access to bots like GPT-5, Claude Opus 4.1, and DeepSeek-R1.

Poe Pro, at $19.99 per month, removes most restrictions and allows unlimited use of premium models such as GPT-5 and Claude Sonnet.

DeepSeek

DeepSeek has gained recognition for its reasoning and coding performance. The chatbot is free for consumers.

Developers can use its API with extremely low pricing. The deepseek-chat model costs $0.27 per 1M input tokens and $1.10 per 1M output tokens, making it one of the most affordable large-scale AI solutions.

Google just launched a flashy new feature for its Gemini AI: the ability to turn photos into animated videos using its latest Veo 3 model. The announcement promised stunning results—dynamic visuals, realistic movement, and even sound. Out of curiosity, I subscribed to the Gemini AI Pro plan and gave it a spin. What I got was… not exactly what Google advertised with Veo 3.

The idea sounds great on paper. Users upload a photo, enter a prompt describing the motion and audio they want, and Gemini turns it into an eight-second, 720p MP4 video. It’s available via the Gemini app or at gemini.google.com for Pro ($20/month) and Ultra ($250/month) subscribers.

So I tested it with a straightforward, imaginative prompt: “Generate a video of this plant growing into a tree while the background (indoor) slowly turns into an open field.” What I received was closer to a PowerPoint slideshow than any sort of cinematic AI magic. The result looked like a few static images fading into one another—no fluid growth, no evolving background.

Compare this with the Veo-generated clips Google is showcasing—lush motion, realistic lighting, smooth movement—and it’s hard not to feel a little duped. It’s one thing to set expectations; it’s another to overpromise.

Source: Google

To be fair, Google does add SynthID watermarks on all videos to clarify they’re AI-generated and continues to block problematic prompts, such as public figures or harmful content. Also, this tool was originally part of Google’s Flow AI filmmaking product and is still new in Gemini’s chat interface. But even with that context, the current results feel undercooked.

Despite the hype, what Gemini currently offers is little more than animated transitions on static images, at least from my experience. And at $20/month, it’s hard to recommend—unless your expectations are really low or you’re animating something extremely simple.

Of course, the feature will improve with time. But for now, it feels like the AI equivalent of a movie trailer showing all the best scenes, while the actual film… drags.

Gemini Live’s camera and screen-sharing features, once exclusive to Gemini Advanced subscribers and a few flagship models like the Galaxy S25 series, are now rolling out free to all Android users. Announced today, this feature will let you chat with Gemini about what’s on your screen or in front of you (through your camera), making your phone a smarter sidekick. The rollout will be completed over the next few weeks.

A feature to show AI exactly what you’re talking about

Gemini Live, Google’s conversational AI, just got a major upgrade. Last week, camera and screen sharing started hitting Advanced subscribers. Now, Google is opening the doors to everyone with an Android device to experience this feature. If the demonstrations are anything to go by, it’s a very convenient feature to have on your phone.

Want to learn more about a recipe you’re scrolling through or a weird plant you spotted? Just tap the “Share screen with Live” chip in the Gemini overlay, confirm, and you’re all set for a quick conversation where Gemini sees exactly what you’re talking about. A little counter pops up in your status bar, and you can stop sharing anytime via the notification shade. Samsung announced a similar feature called “Real-Time Visual AI” just a few days ago for its 2025 flagships.

For camera sharing, head to the fullscreen Gemini Live interface and hit the camera button. A viewfinder opens, letting you switch between front and rear lenses. Google suggests steady movements for the best results, and your screen needs to stay active for video capture.

It’s a bold move to make AI more accessible, and we’re excited to see how Android users put these tools to work.

Generative AI has progressed rapidly in the last two years. We’re now seeing it being integrated in consumer tech gadgets like smartphones and laptops. Major companies like Google, Microsoft, and Samsung are already riding this wave. This has put Apple far behind in the race. The Cupertino-based tech giant is already working on its AI plans. However, it has now taken a twist if the latest development is anything to go by.

Surprise! Google’s Gemini could power iPhone’s AI features

Bloomberg reports that Apple is in active negotiations with Google to bake its Gemini AI engines into iPhones. Additionally, the company has also held talks with OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The latest development signals that Apple’s own AI model development is not up to mark and can’t compete with others. The company’s employees have been testing an in-house chatbot called Apple GPT and there is also a large language model codenamed Ajax. Gurman states that “Apple’s AI technology remains inferior to tools from Google and other rivals”.

Tim Cook had previously revealed at an earnings call that the company has a big opportunity in the GenAI space. However, with the company lagging behind, a partnership with another company to license their AI model on the iPhone seems more practical. The Cupertino-based tech giant recently acquired DarwinAI.

As for Google, a partnership with Apple for Gemini AI would be a game-changer considering the controversies in recent months. Although the branding and implementation of the AI model in Apple’s devices remain unclear, we can expect features like image generation, writing essays, and other tasks that can be performed through an external provider or cloud. A deal with Apple would also expand Gemini AI’s reach since iPhones have over two billion user base in the market.

If a deal between Apple and Google indeed materializes, it could shake up the AI industry. Bloomberg says that the partnership won’t be announced anytime before the annual WWDC in June.
