A mysterious Gionee phone with G7820LY has appeared in the database of the TENAA telecom authority of China. What is interesting about the listing is that the phone carries support for 5G connectivity. While the final product name of the device is a mystery, it appears that the G7802LY could be landing soon in China as the company’s first 5G capable smartphone.

Gionee G7820LY specifications

The Gionee G7820LY smartphone has 163.6 x 75.5 x 9.7mm dimensions and it weighs 168.7 grams. The listing states that the phone will be available in China in grey-blue color. The mid-range phone has a 6.52-inch display with a waterdrop notch. The screen supports an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The right edge of the G7802LY has a volume rocker and a power key.

The TENAA listing is not clear about the camera configurations of the Gionee G7820LY smartphone. It states that the phone has a 5-megapixel / 8-megapixel / 13-megapixel front-facing camera.
