<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-241314" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Google-Foldable-Phone_2.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="900" height="666" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Google-Foldable-Phone_2.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Google-Foldable-Phone_2-300x222.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Google-Foldable-Phone_2-768x568.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><br />
Newfangled gadgets have always been subject to all sorts of rumors and speculations, and foldable phones are no exception. With tech behemoths reportedly working on their own versions of foldable smartphones, it is hardly surprising that a leaked patent of Google&#8217;s purported foldable phone has made an appearance online.</p>
<p>The search engine giant is expected to follow in the footsteps of Samsung and Huawei that introduced their foldable phones during the recently concluded <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mwc/">MWC (Mobile World Congress)</a> that took place in Barcelona. In other words, Google isn&#8217;t willing to be left out.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-241315" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Google-Foldable-Phone.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="727" height="386" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Google-Foldable-Phone.jpg 727w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Google-Foldable-Phone-300x159.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 727px) 100vw, 727px" /><br />
The aforesaid patent gives us a brief glimpse of a smartphone that seems to bear a striking resemblance to the 2019 version of the Motorola RAZR. Aside from that, the phone seems quite familiar to the Galaxy Fold from Samsung.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-241316" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Google-Foldable-Phone_3.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="727" height="578" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Google-Foldable-Phone_3.jpg 727w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Google-Foldable-Phone_3-300x239.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 727px) 100vw, 727px" /><br />
As required by the latest technology, there&#8217;s a visible gap between the two halves of the phone. It is worth noting that Google has neither confirmed nor denied that it is currently hard at works on a phone that folds in half. Moreover, leaked patents are highly unlikely to materialize so readers are advised to take these rumors with a grain of salt.</p>

</ul>
<p>Nevertheless, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/foldable/">foldable mobile devices</a> are expected to take the smartphone realm by storm and there are no prizes for guessing that Google is in no mood to be left behind in terms of technology.</p>
<p>Given that Android Q beta shows how the company conceives software experience for a foldable smartphone, we could see it reveal a Pixel Foldable smartphone in the near future. More shreds of information are likely to surface online soon so stay tuned in here for more news and updates about Google&#8217;s foldable phone.</p>
