The FCC reveals no information about what this new device will be. The device has been listed on the website with the model number G28DR and supports Bluetooth and Wifi.</p>
<p>As initially spotted by <a href="https://9to5google.com/2022/08/01/google-wireless-device-fcc-nest/">9to5Google</a>, the Google device has appeared on the FCC website with model number G28DR. The device is certified for use with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It is not listed with any other common connectivity options like NFC or UWB, so it will likely not be a smartphone or tablet. It is also revealed that the mysterious device will have a 3.65V battery.</p>
<p>For signal testing, the Google device was connected via USB to a laptop, which suggests the device will be chargeable through a standard USB connection. The device could be the next member of Google’s Nest lineup because the company hasn’t revealed many smart devices this year.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-404125" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/google-nest-camera.png?x10805" alt="Google Nest Camera" width="740" height="489" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/google-nest-camera.png 740w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/google-nest-camera-300x198.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/google-nest-camera-696x460.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/google-nest-camera-636x420.png 636w" sizes="(max-width: 740px) 100vw, 740px" /></p>
<p>The details about this unknown Google device are still pretty short. And the tech giant has of course not revealed any details about it yet. We hope to learn more about it in the coming days.</p>
<p>In related news, Google recently started rolling out the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/08/02/google-pixel-6a-receives-android-13-beta/">Android 13 beta</a> to the newly launched <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/google-pixel-6a/">Pixel 6a</a>. The new Android 13 Beta version will be the only Beta build that the Pixel 6a will receive before they directly upgrade to Android 13 OS. The Pixel 6a is also expected to receive an OTA update that will bump the security patch level to August.</p>

Now, it seems that the lawsuit has proved to be favorable towards Sonos, as Google is being forced to make changes with its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/nest/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Nest</a> speakers.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-335671 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Google-Nest-Speaker.png?x10805" alt="Google Nest Speaker" width="680" height="382" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Google-Nest-Speaker.png 680w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Google-Nest-Speaker-300x169.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px" /></p>
<p>According to an <a href="https://www.androidpolice.com/google-pixel-chromecast-and-smart-speakers-may-be-banned-from-us-sale-following-sonos-lawsuit-loss/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>AndroidPolice</em> </a>report, Sonos has won a major court decision after piling on a number of lawsuits and accusations of theft against the Search Engine giant. Now, the brand is being forced to make changes in some of its popular gadgets. In the worst case scenario, it is possibly even facing a ban of its products. The US International Trade Commission has just ruled in favor of Sonos earlier today (7th January 2022) after finding Google guilty of violating Sonos&#8217; intellectual property.</p>
<p>This ruling also arrives following the preliminary results from August 2021, in which a judge also found the brand to be in violation of the Tariff Act of 1930. In other words, Sonos&#8217; victory means that there will possibly be a ban on importing infringing devices that will go into effect within the next 60 days. Although, the company told <a href="https://www.theverge.com/2022/1/6/22871121/sonos-google-patent-itc-ruling-decision-import-ban" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>The Verge</em></a> that &#8220;We do not expect any impact to our ability to import or sell our products.&#8221; It also added that the customers will not experience any disruptions either.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-283126 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Nest-Mini-featured.png?x10805" alt="Google" width="758" height="486" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Nest-Mini-featured.png 758w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Nest-Mini-featured-300x192.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Nest-Mini-featured-696x446.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Nest-Mini-featured-655x420.png 655w" sizes="(max-width: 758px) 100vw, 758px" /></p>
<p>Google further elaborated on some of the upcoming changes for its Nest speakers in a <a href="https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/Upcoming-Speaker-Group-changes/ba-p/77811" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">forum post</a>. For those unaware, Sonos had sought to block the sale of Google&#8217;s smart speakers, Pixel smartphones, and even Chromebooks initially. But as of right now, it remains unclear which products and series will be facing the ban or revisions. It remains to be seen if the Biden administration steps up to take action against the ruling, so stay tuned for more updates.</p>

Out of the four devices that the company had unveiled, the Nest Cam battery and the Nest Doorbell went on sale in August. Now, the tech giant is launching the remaining two products &#8212; Nest Cam wired and the Nest Cam with floodlight.</p>
<p>The Google Nest Cam wired is the budget offering from the company and is much smaller in size when compared to the indoor/outdoor <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/google-nest-cam">Nest Cam</a>. It has a 16:9 aspect ratio and comes with support for 1080p video at up to 30fps. The device also has a 135-degree field of view and 6x digital zoom.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-404500 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/google-nest-cam-4.png?x10805" alt="Google Nest Cam" width="737" height="425" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/google-nest-cam-4.png 737w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/google-nest-cam-4-300x173.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/google-nest-cam-4-696x401.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/google-nest-cam-4-728x420.png 728w" sizes="(max-width: 737px) 100vw, 737px" /></p>
<p>The product comes in four color options &#8212; White, Pink, Beige, and Green, for the price of $99. There&#8217;s also a pink-hue model also comes with a wooden base, which comes at slightly higher pricing of $119.</p>
<p>On the other hand, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/google">Google</a> Nest Cam with floodlight is similar to the indoor/outdoor Nest Cam but comes attached with a 2,400-lumen floodlight. It records video through a 1/2.8-inch 2-megapixel sensor with 130-degree field-of-view and 6x digital zoom support.</p>
<p>It requires permanent power and has to be wired into the home&#8217;s wiring through a standard outdoor junction box. The floodlight is rated IP65 for weatherproofing and the camera itself is IP54. The device is on sale through Google Store for $279.99.</p>

<p id="FyNsn9">The product uses on-device intelligence to detect people, animals, and vehicles rather than just relying on a motion sensor. This means that you’re not illuminating the area through the light when something not-so-important happens.</p>
<p>Additionally, the new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/google-nest">Nest</a> cameras come with built-in intelligence and on-device processing, which means that there is now less reliance on the cloud. Google also allows users to create Activity Zones for free and get three hours of event-based video.</p>
<p>The user will be able to record up to an hour of footage if the internet connection breaks up or the power goes out. For more than three hours of recording, or to enable 24/7 recording, users will need to purchase a Nest Aware subscription, starting at $6 a month.</p>

<p>Now, Google is apparently planning a launch event on 5th October where the company will be announcing new products for Nest, Maps, and Flights. The report also mentions that this event doesn&#8217;t have anything to do with the Google <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/google-pixel-6">Pixel series smartphones</a>.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-357482 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/google-logo-2.jpg?x10805" alt="Google Logo Featured" width="640" height="432" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/google-logo-2.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/google-logo-2-300x203.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/google-logo-2-622x420.jpg 622w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></p>
<p>The development comes through Mishaal Rahman who <a href="https://twitter.com/MishaalRahman/status/1441492718157385728">shared screenshots</a> of the now-deleted <em>CNET</em> article which detailed this upcoming 5th October event of Google. It revealed that the company will announce new smart speakers and security devices along with some changes and new features coming to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/google-maps">Google Maps</a> and Google Flights.</p>
<p>As noted, Google Pixel 6 series flagship smartphones are not a part of the agenda for this event as the company is expected to launch the premium smartphones on 19th October. It is expected that the phones will be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/09/01/google-pixel-6-series-launch-28-october/">available for purchase around 28th October</a>. It&#8217;s also being reported that apart from the Pixel 6 series, the company could also announce its first foldable smartphone at the same event.</p>
<p>Google has already revealed some key details about the upcoming phones. The Pixel 6 comes with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display offering a 90Hz refresh rate while the Pro model has a 6.7-inch QHD+ display offering a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/120hz">120Hz refresh rate</a>.</p>
<p>The highlight of the Pixel 6 series remains its processor as the phones will come powered by Google’s own chipset — <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/google-tensor">Tensor</a>. Apart from on-device AI and ML capability, the chip is claimed to have significant improvement in translation, captioning, and dictation. The chipset is likely to be an unreleased <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung">Samsung</a> Exynos 9855 SoC.</p>
<p>The standard model features a dual-camera setup on the back while the Pixel 6 Pro has a triple-camera setup that includes a wide-angle lens, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 4x telephoto lens. The photography performance is expected to top the charts as the chipset is focused on photo output and uses <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/ai">artificial intelligence</a> along with machine learning.</p>

The device is sold in multiple countries, but if you live in India, you can&#8217;t get your hands on one as <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/google">Google</a> didn&#8217;t launch it there. And it appears it has no plans to do so. However, a new leak has revealed that India will be getting a special Chromecast With Google TV.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-345601" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Chromecast-with-Google-TV-Sunrise.jpg?x10805" alt="Chromecast with Google TV" width="490" height="490" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Chromecast-with-Google-TV-Sunrise.jpg 490w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Chromecast-with-Google-TV-Sunrise-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Chromecast-with-Google-TV-Sunrise-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Chromecast-with-Google-TV-Sunrise-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 490px) 100vw, 490px" /></p>
<p>The info was revealed by the YouTuber Ustav Techie on Twitter earlier today. According to him, Google is bringing three new products to India. First, he mentions the Google Nest is coming this year but doesn&#8217;t specify which Nest product. However, we found out that the Google India store already lists <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/08/06/google-nest-cam-battery-powered-nest-video-doorbell-official/">the new Nest Cam (Battery)</a> as coming soon. So this might be the product he is referring to.</p>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true">
<p lang="en" dir="ltr">As of now 3 Google Products are coming to India <a href="https://twitter.com/madebygoogle?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@madebygoogle</a> </p>
<p>1) Google Nest finally coming to India this year</p>
<p>2) Pixel Buds (Yes)</p>
<p>3) Special Chromecast stick with Google TV ( Made For India)</p>
<p>Google India is still deciding the Pixel 6</p>
<p>&mdash; Utsav Techie (@utsavtechie) <a href="https://twitter.com/utsavtechie/status/1425688263310774273?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 12, 2021</a></p></blockquote>
<p><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p>Next on the list is the Pixel Buds. Google already discontinued the Pixel Buds, so this is most likely the $99 <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/06/03/pixel-buds-a-bring-the-pixel-buds-experience-for-about-half-the-price/">Pixel Buds A</a> announced in June.</p>
<p>Last is the special Chromecast with Google TV made for India. There are no details about this device and what makes it different from the model released last year. However, there seems to be some truth to the statement considering that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/08/09/google-wireless-streaming-device-fcc/">a new Google streaming device was recently approved by the FCC</a>.</p>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true">
<p lang="en" dir="ltr">pixle 5a is 100% not coming to India</p>
<p>Pixel 6 is still not went in production till now</p>
<p>&mdash; Utsav Techie (@utsavtechie) <a href="https://twitter.com/utsavtechie/status/1425692605837287424?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 12, 2021</a></p></blockquote>
<p><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p>The leaker also mentioned that Google is still undecided about the Pixel 6 coming to India but mentions in the replies that the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/pixel-5a">Pixel 5a</a> will not be launched in the country.</p>
<p>We expect more details about the launch and features of these new devices will surface in the weeks leading up to their launch, so keep your eyes peeled.</p>
