5 excellent alternatives to Vivo X300 Pro

Galaxy S26 Ultra

1. Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is Samsung’s most powerful and one of the best Android phones in the market. While it’s a little costlier than the Vivo X300 Pro, the pricing gap narrows with bank discounts and other offers clubbed together.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra comes with a larger 6.9-inch LTPO screen and the newly introduced Privacy Display feature, which allows users to keep their screen content visible only to them while obscuring it from others. The device is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both sides.

Galaxy S26 Ultra

The Samsung phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which delivers better gaming performance and stability than the Dimensity 9500 on the Vivo X300 Pro. Furthermore, it also provides two additional major OS updates.

Around the back, the S26 Ultra has a superior quad-camera setup, led by a 200MP primary sensor. Other sensors include a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide unit. It has a 12MP front-facing camera.

The 5,000mAh battery and 60W wired/25W wireless charging support are weak links here compared to the Vivo X300 Pro, but the Samsung phone easily lasts a day, and a full charge takes about an hour.

It offers the absolute best Android experience without the bloatware common among Chinese brands. Further, the Pixel 10 Pro promises two additional major OS upgrades and gets additional features via Pixel feature drops.

The Pixel smartphone features a high-end triple camera setup on the back, which includes a 50MP primary camera, a 48MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 48MP ultrawide unit. The 42MP selfie camera also takes excellent shots.

While the Tensor G5 doesn’t deliver flagship-grade gaming performance, it’s more optimized towards on-device AI features and personal intelligence. The Pixel 10 Pro offers a range of AI features to automatically pull contextual details when you need them, enhance zoom shots, translate voice calls in real-time, and more features that are helpful in everyday life.

The Pixel 10 Pro features a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED screen, UWB support, and a 4870mAh battery with support for 30W wired and 15W wireless charging.

4. Oppo Find X9 Pro

The Find X9 Pro’s spec sheet closely matches the Vivo X300 Pro’s. Both have 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED screens, Dimensity 9500 chips, and promise five major Android OS updates. The camera specs are also largely similar (50MP primary + 200MP periscope telephoto + 50MP ultrawide), except for a slightly lower optical zoom on the Find X9 Pro. The selfie camera has a 50MP resolution on both phones.

5. OnePlus 15

The OnePlus 15 is much more affordable than the Vivo X300 Pro, but still outperforms the Vivo phone in several aspects. It’s got a more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, and a bigger 7300mAh battery with faster 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.

While the OnePlus 15 features the same 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED screen, it excels by offering a higher 165Hz refresh rate. Coming to the cameras, the rear setup includes a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide shooter. There’s a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Huawei Mate 80 Pro and Google Pixel 10 Pro take two different routes to deliver a premium smartphone experience. One focuses on powerful hardware and long battery life, while the other leans on smart software and advanced AI. Buyers comparing these two are usually looking for a reliable flagship that fits their daily needs, whether that means stronger performance, better photos, or a longer-lasting device. This comparison helps make that choice clearer by showing what each phone does best.

Major Features:

Feature

Huawei Mate 80 Pro

Google Pixel 10 Pro

Winner

Performance

Kirin 9030 series, efficiency-focused

Tensor G5, stronger AI & raw power

Pixel 10 Pro

Battery & Charging

5750 mAh, 100W wired, 80W wireless

4870 mAh, 30W wired, 15W wireless

Mate 80 Pro

Main Camera

50MP variable aperture, 4x optical zoom

50MP main, stronger computational HDR

Tie (Hardware vs Software)

Zoom Capability

48MP periscope, 4x

48MP periscope, 5x + Zoom Enhance

Pixel 10 Pro

Price

~$900

~$1000

Mate 80 Pro

Design and Display

Build and Feel

The Mate 80 Pro delivers a more rugged and durable impression thanks to its tougher water-resistance rating and reinforced materials, making it feel engineered for harsher conditions. Its curved aesthetics and premium finish give it a refined, flagship character. The Pixel 10 Pro opts for a clean, symmetrical glass-and-metal design that feels more minimalist and polished. While the Pixel looks sleeker, the Mate feels more confident in hand, especially for users who value long-term durability and a distinctive flagship identity.

Display Quality

Huawei’s LTPO OLED offers vivid colors, smoother transitions, and strong brightness control backed by high-frequency PWM for comfortable viewing. The larger canvas also provides a more immersive feel for content. Google’s LTPO OLED panel counters with higher peak brightness, richer HDR handling, and sharper density, making it better suited for outdoor visibility and detailed media. Both are premium, but one leans toward eye comfort and immersion while the other emphasizes pure clarity and brightness.

Verdict

Mate 80 Pro wins for durability and immersive visuals, while Pixel 10 Pro edges ahead in brightness and HDR precision.

Specifications

Performance

The Mate 80 Pro’s Kirin 9030 series focuses on balanced efficiency, smooth daily use, and reliable thermals. It feels optimized for sustained performance rather than peak bursts. In contrast, the Pixel 10 Pro’s Tensor G5 brings stronger raw power, better AI processing, and superior imaging computation. This gives the Pixel an advantage in multitasking speed and future software expansion. For demanding tasks or AI-driven workflows, the Pixel simply feels more capable.

Battery and Charging

Huawei offers a significantly larger battery with extremely fast wired and wireless charging, delivering quicker turnaround and better endurance across mixed usage. The Pixel’s smaller battery and slower charging mean it lasts a full day, but doesn’t match Huawei’s stamina or convenience. Pixel users gain the benefits of Qi2 magnetic charging and efficient standby, but the Mate’s combination of capacity and charging power feels more practical for heavy users.

Verdict

Pixel 10 Pro wins on raw performance and AI power; Mate 80 Pro dominates battery life and charging speed.

Camera

Main and Secondary Lenses

The Mate 80 Pro features a flexible triple-camera system with a variable aperture main lens and strong periscope zoom, delivering natural depth and excellent low-light control. Its color science leans toward rich tones, giving photos a more expressive character. The Pixel 10 Pro relies on computational mastery with consistent results, sharper daytime images, and enhanced telephoto clarity thanks to advanced zoom algorithms. It feels more reliable in tricky dynamic scenes where software makes a difference.

Selfie Camera

Huawei’s ultrawide autofocus selfie system with 3D sensing offers versatility and excellent facial depth mapping, making it ideal for group shots or accurate biometric use. Google’s high-resolution 42MP selfie camera excels in detail and stabilization, producing crisp portraits and smooth video. The Pixel feels stronger for creators who prioritize detail, while Huawei offers a more adaptive selfie experience.

Verdict

Pixel 10 Pro wins for consistent computational results; Mate 80 Pro edges ahead in versatility and depth-driven creativity.

Pricing

The Mate 80 Pro comes in at approximately $900, undercutting the Pixel 10 Pro’s $1000 price point while offering stronger battery life, faster charging, and a more rugged build. This makes Huawei’s flagship feel like the better value for users seeking endurance, versatility, and premium hardware at a more accessible cost. The Pixel justifies its higher price with superior AI performance, longer software support, and computational imaging benefits.

Buyers focused on software longevity and intelligent features may find the premium worthwhile, while hardware-first users will see more value in Huawei’s approach.

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, and applicable taxes.

Conclusion

Huawei’s standouts include ultra-fast charging, satellite messaging (region-specific), variable aperture photography, and strong durability. These features cater to users who want independence from power outlets, flexibility in photography, and a device built for demanding environments. Google’s strengths lie in extended software updates, advanced AI tools, cloud-enhanced video, and UWB support, creating a smarter, more connected experience. Each device leans into a different philosophy; Huawei prioritizes hardware dominance, while Google elevates intelligence and computational power.

Verdict

Choose the Mate 80 Pro for superior battery performance, a rugged design, and flexible photography capabilities. Choose the Pixel 10 Pro for stronger AI processing, longer software support, and consistently sharp imaging.

The flagship showdown between Xiaomi 17 Pro and Google Pixel 10 Pro highlights two different visions of premium smartphones. One focuses on cutting-edge hardware and raw power, while the other leans on intelligent software and long-term support. This comparison matters because it pits Xiaomi’s aggressive feature-packed approach against Google’s AI-driven ecosystem, giving buyers a clear look at which flagship better fits their priorities, performance, and innovation or software and experience.

Design and display

Build and Feel:

Xiaomi 17 Pro and Google Pixel 10 Pro both offer premium construction with glass and aluminum frames, but their approach differs subtly. Xiaomi uses Dragon Crystal Glass with a sleek aluminum frame and offers IP68 protection with a deeper submersion rating of up to 4 m. Pixel 10 Pro relies on Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both front and back and also has IP68, but for shallower depths. Xiaomi provides a dual-SIM setup with an IR blaster, while Pixel uses eSIM and nano-SIM, catering more to digital-first users. Xiaomi’s design leans toward luxury and utility with its secondary display on the back, while Pixel focuses on a clean, minimalist finish.

Verdict: Xiaomi has a more versatile build with deeper water resistance and functional extras, making it better for those who value utility.

Display Quality:

Both devices feature 6.3-inch LTPO panels with 120 Hz refresh rates and HDR support, but Xiaomi pushes boundaries with 3500 nits peak brightness and Dolby Vision. Pixel reaches 3300 nits, which is slightly lower but still exceptional. Xiaomi’s secondary AMOLED display gives it an edge in versatility for quick access and camera previews. Pixel’s display, however, has a slightly higher pixel density, providing excellent sharpness and color accuracy. For pure brightness and dynamic range, Xiaomi stands out, while Pixel edges ahead in color precision.

Verdict: Xiaomi leads in brightness and versatility, giving it the upper hand in display impact.

Verdict:

Both are flagship-level in build and display, but Xiaomi’s combination of extreme brightness, secondary panel, and deeper water resistance gives it an edge for those wanting more utility and immersive visuals. Pixel, however, retains a subtle advantage in minimalism and clarity.

Specifications

Performance:

Xiaomi runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while Pixel is powered by the Tensor G5. Qualcomm’s chip brings superior raw performance, better GPU output with Adreno 840, and more efficient thermal management. Tensor is tuned more for AI and software optimization, excelling in smart features rather than brute force. Xiaomi also benefits from UFS 4.1 storage across variants, whereas Pixel uses UFS 3.1 in the base model. For gaming, heavy multitasking, and sustained performance, Xiaomi holds a performance edge, while Pixel favors intelligent software handling and AI-driven enhancements.

Verdict: Xiaomi leads in raw power and sustained performance.

Battery and Charging:

Xiaomi packs a 6300 mAh battery with 100 W wired and 50 W wireless charging, far ahead of Pixel’s 4870 mAh with 30 W wired and 15 W Qi2 wireless charging. Xiaomi’s reverse wireless at 22.5 W is also more powerful compared to the Pixel’s wired reverse. Pixel does offer bypass charging, which is helpful for temperature control, but Xiaomi’s speed and capacity make it far more versatile for power users.

Verdict: Xiaomi dominates in battery life and charging speed.

Verdict:

While Pixel offers more intelligent software optimization, Xiaomi outshines in performance and charging capabilities, making it better suited for heavy users and gamers.

Camera

Main and Secondary Lenses:

Both devices use triple-camera setups with high-resolution primary and telephoto lenses. Xiaomi employs a Leica-tuned triple 50 MP system with 5× optical zoom, offering superior dynamic range and manual control. Pixel uses a 50 MP main sensor with a 48 MP periscope and ultrawide, leveraging Google’s computational photography. Pixel’s Zoom Enhance and Ultra-HDR features give it an edge in consistent clarity, while Xiaomi offers more flexibility with hardware, especially in video—8K@30 fps with Dolby Vision HDR natively, compared to Pixel’s cloud-based 8K.

Verdict: Pixel is stronger in AI-driven image processing, while Xiaomi excels in hardware and pro-grade video.

Selfie Camera:

Xiaomi brings a 50 MP wide selfie camera, delivering sharp and natural results, especially with HDR and 4K recording at 60 fps. Pixel opts for a 42 MP ultrawide lens, allowing wider framing and excellent clarity. Pixel’s edge lies in its consistent skin tone mapping and intelligent processing. Xiaomi, however, offers more raw detail and versatility for creators.

Verdict: Pixel leads in everyday selfie quality, while Xiaomi favors creators needing flexibility.

Verdict:

Both deliver flagship camera experiences but with different strengths. Pixel excels in point-and-shoot accuracy and computational imaging, while Xiaomi provides superior hardware and creative control for advanced users.

Pricing

Xiaomi is priced around $800, whereas the Pixel costs around $1000. For $200 less, Xiaomi offers stronger performance, a bigger battery with faster charging, and additional features like a secondary display and IR blaster. Pixel, however, justifies its premium with superior software optimization, AI integration, and extended OS support for 7 major upgrades.

Verdict: Xiaomi delivers more value for performance and hardware, while Pixel justifies its higher price with software longevity and smarter imaging.

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, and applicable taxes.

Conclusion

Xiaomi stands out with its secondary AMOLED display, extreme charging speeds, larger battery, and Leica camera collaboration. It’s tailored for users who prioritize power, customization, and creative flexibility. Pixel brings AI-centric features like Circle to Search, satellite SOS, and industry-leading software updates, making it ideal for those who value intelligence and reliability. Both support Ultra Wideband and modern connectivity standards, but Xiaomi edges ahead in raw innovation, while Pixel focuses on refinement and ecosystem integration.

Verdict:

Xiaomi delivers superior hardware value and power at a lower cost, making it ideal for enthusiasts and performance seekers. Pixel wins for users who prioritize software intelligence, AI features, and long-term support. The final choice depends on whether hardware muscle or software finesse matters more.

As the smartphone industry charges toward fall 2025, the camera wars are heating up in a big way. Whether you’re a pro photographer or a casual shooter, these five upcoming smartphones, spanning Apple, Google, Vivo, and Xiaomi, are gearing up to redefine what mobile photography can do. Based on confirmed specs, leaks, and credible tipsters, here’s a detailed look at the most camera-centric phones set to debut in the coming weeks and months.

iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max

Credit: Macrumors

Apple is preparing to introduce its most significant front camera upgrade in years. All iPhone 17 models are expected to feature a new 24MP selfie camera, doubling the resolution found on the iPhone 16 series. This will improve image clarity and provide more flexibility when cropping.

The Pro Max model will stand out with a 48MP Wide, 48MP Ultra Wide, and 48MP Tetraprism Telephoto camera. This would make it the first iPhone to include three 48MP sensors and could also introduce native 8K video recording. Apple may also add support for dual video recording and a mechanical aperture system on the Pro models, giving users control over depth of field in photos.

The Pro Max could include an upgraded 8x optical zoom lens, a step up from the current 5x zoom on the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The Pro models will remain the only iPhones with a dedicated telephoto lens, while the standard iPhone 17 and 17 Air will not include any optical zoom.

Google Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL

Google is expected to continue using the same camera configuration as last year on the Pixel 10 Pro series. Both the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL will include a 50MP main sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP 5x telephoto lens. The front camera will use a 42MP sensor.

This year, both the ultra-wide and telephoto cameras will support macro photography. The ultra-wide sensor can focus as close as 2cm, while the telephoto can deliver brighter macro images with a minimum focusing distance of around 10cm.

The Pro XL will include a 5,200mAh battery and faster 39W wired charging. The standard Pro model will come with a slightly smaller 4,870mAh battery and 29W charging. Both devices will use Google’s new Tensor G5 processor and will run Android 16 out of the box.

Xiaomi 16 Pro

Xiaomi plans to upgrade the front-facing camera on the 16 Pro to a new 50MP sensor. The new camera will include autofocus, a wide field of view, and support for 4K at 60fps. This is a major improvement over the 32MP sensor used since the Xiaomi 13 series.

The rear camera setup will include a 50MP 1/1.3-inch primary sensor. The Pro model is expected to benefit from improved Leica image tuning and a ToF sensor to enhance portrait photography and depth accuracy.

The 16 Pro will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset and could launch in late September.

Vivo X300 Pro

Vivo is preparing the X300 Pro with one of the most powerful camera systems in any upcoming smartphone. The device is expected to feature a 50MP Sony LYT-828 main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with a 1/1.4-inch sensor.

The main sensor will support Hybrid Frame HDR and a dynamic range exceeding 100dB. The periscope camera is expected to include new lens coating technology to reduce flare. Vivo may also offer high-quality in-sensor zoom modes at 35mm and 50mm crop lengths.

The X300 Pro will launch with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset and could be the first phone to ship with that chip. Vivo is expected to unveil the X300 Pro by October.

The Google Pixel 10 series is expected to be officially announced on August 20 this year. Its pre-orders are expected to begin on same date and shipments are slated to start on August 28. Well ahead of the official unveiling, live shots of what appears to be the Pixel 10 Pro have surfaced on the CoolAPK forum in China. These images offer an early look at both the hardware and design refinements of the upcoming flagship.

The leaked unit is confirmed to be a DVT (Design Validation Test) prototype, carrying the internal codename Blazer. It is powered by the next-generation Tensor G5 chipset, paired with 16GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, and runs Android 16.

The Tensor G5’s CPU setup includes a mix of two Cortex-A520, three Cortex-A725, two additional Cortex-A725, and a single Cortex-X4 performance core. It also features a g5400i modem, which is believed to be of Samsung Exynos origin.

The live shots reveal several visual changes compared to the Pixel 9 Pro. The USB-C port at the bottom now sits between two identical cutouts, likely housing a pair of speakers. The SIM tray has been shifted to the top-left edge of the device.

Meanwhile, the rear camera bar looks thicker, hinting at internal component upgrades. The cover glass now extends closer to the edges, possibly indicating thinner bezels or a more refined display design.

According to reports, the Pixel 10 lineup is expected to include multiple devices, such as the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. With leaks surfacing nearly two months ahead of launch, Google may face challenges in keeping the final design under wraps for long.
