The Google Pixel 6a is expected to be unveiled in India by the end of this month (July). The specifications and design of the phone have already leaked online. And today, a reliable tipster has revealed the alleged Indian pricing of the Pixel 6a. The price of the device is lower than we expected and it is likely to create cutthroat competition in the premium mid-range segment.

Tipster Abhishek Yadav took to Twitter to reveal the Indian pricing of the Pixel 6a. As per the tipster, the overhauled Pixel smartphone will be priced at around Rs. 37,000 (roughly $462) in India. Previously, it was reported that the Pixel 6a would come with a price tag of Rs. 40,000 ($500), but it appears Google is keeping the prices low. Flipkart is said to be offering the Pixel 6a for purchase.

The leaked price is fairly competitive, and it is going to give a tough time to the brand-new Nothing Phone (1) and the upcoming OnePlus 10T. Pixel 6a definitely has the upper hand on both of these smartphones. The only letdown with the Pixel is the display. Google is said to be using a 60Hz panel on the Pixel 6a, which is far below the industry standards.

But again, the rest of the impressive features will likely make up for the display. We can’t really complain about Google using a 60Hz panel in its affordable phones when Apple uses the same in its premium smartphones.

Google has made a lot of improvements to the Pixel 6a. For instance, the tech giant has used a different fingerprint sensor on the device to offer smooth unlocking. As mentioned, the Pixel 6a will be launched in the last week of July. It will go on sale a few days after the launch.

Recently an 11-minute-long unboxing video of the Pixel 6a surfaced online which gave us a closer look at the phone’s design and the box contents. Today, noted leaker @Evleaks has shared the whole set of Pixel 6a marketing images which confirms the design and color variants of the smartphone. The design is the same as previous leaks have suggested. The leaker has also shared the specs sheet of the smartphone which reveals all the major specs of the phone.

Leaker Evan Blass has recently shared the marketing images of the upcoming Google Pixel 6a which confirms almost every detail about the phone. The images look legit and the design is identical to what Google showcased in the I/O event. You can see the with a flat display and a slightly redesigned camera visor with a dual-camera setup.

Google Pixel 6a Specifications

As mentioned above, the leakster also shared the specs sheet of the smartphone which reveals all of its specifications.

It is already known that the phone features a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate support. Pixel 6a has a 20:9 aspect ratio and uses an in-display fingerprint scanner. Google claims that the fingerprint scanner has been improved on the Pixel 6a. we hope that’s true. The smartphone is powered by Google’s home-brewed Tensor chip paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The phone is fueled by a 4306 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It has no wireless charging support. As far as the cameras are concerned, Pixel 6a houses dual camera setup with 12MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. On the front, it has an 8MP front camera fitted inside the hole punch cutout. The device will run Android 12 out of the box. The smartphone will enjoy up to 5 years of security updates.

The Pixel 6a will be available for pre-order from July 21 for $449 in the US. It will be available in three colors: white, black, and green.
