<p>Google Pixel Watch 4 and Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 cater to two very different types of smartwatch buyers. One focuses on sleek comfort and deep software integration, while the other targets outdoor enthusiasts who need durability and advanced health insights. With both positioned as premium options in their categories, comparing them helps users understand which watch aligns better with their lifestyle, everyday smart convenience, or rugged, adventure-ready performance.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1019" height="626" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-126.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-715926" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-126.png 1019w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-126-300x184.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-126-768x472.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-126-696x428.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-126-684x420.png 684w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-126-356x220.png 356w" sizes="(max-width: 1019px) 100vw, 1019px" /></figure></div>

<h2><strong>Design and Display</strong></h2>

<p><strong>Build &amp; Comfort</strong><strong><br></strong>The Pixel Watch 4 focuses on lightweight comfort, with an aluminum frame and just 31–37g of weight. Its compact 45mm footprint makes it ideal for smaller wrists and all-day wear. The Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 goes in the opposite direction: premium, rugged, and heavy. The zirconium case, sapphire crystal, and ceramic back deliver a luxury feel but also make it nearly twice as heavy, which some users may find noticeable during sleep or workouts.</p>

<p><strong>Display Brightness &amp; Visibility</strong><strong><br></strong>Google offers a sharp 1.4-inch LTPO AMOLED reaching 3000 nits, ensuring solid outdoor readability. Huawei counters with an even larger 1.5-inch LTPO2 AMOLED hitting 3500 nits, offering better visibility under harsh sunlight and underwater, a clear nod to its extreme-use design.</p>

<p><strong>Verdict<br></strong>Pixel Watch 4 wins for comfort and minimalism, while the Watch Ultimate 2 dominates in premium build and extreme outdoor visibility. Choose based on whether lightweight comfort or rugged luxury matters more.</p>

<h2><strong>Health and Fitness Tracking</strong></h2>

<p><strong>Sensors &amp; Tracking Accuracy</strong><strong><br></strong>The Pixel Watch 4 continues Google’s fitness-focused legacy with ECG, skin temperature, skin conductance, SpO₂, and deep Fitbit integration. Its tracking leans toward lifestyle wellness and reliable everyday metrics. Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 steps further into advanced health territory, ECG, SpO₂, thermometer, HRV monitoring, arterial stiffness detection, and X-TAP interactions. Its deeper health insights and extreme-environment sensors make it suitable for advanced athletes and adventurers.</p>

<p><strong>Workout Modes</strong><strong><br></strong>Google offers robust activity tracking with Fitbit’s proven algorithms. Huawei, however, includes specialised outdoor and diving modes supported by its 150m water resistance and sonar-based underwater communication, useful for divers and open-water athletes.</p>

<p><strong>Verdict</strong><strong><br></strong>Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 delivers a more comprehensive and specialized health suite. Pixel Watch 4 is accurate and user-friendly, but not as advanced for extreme sports.</p>

<h2><strong>Performance and Software</strong></h2>

<p><strong>UI Smoothness</strong><strong><br></strong>Pixel Watch 4 benefits from Snapdragon W5 Gen 2, providing fluid animations and highly responsive Wear OS 6 navigation. The UI feels modern and tightly integrated with Google services. Huawei’s HarmonyOS 5.1 is smooth and stable, but slightly more conservative in animation fluidity. Its strength lies in efficiency and consistency, especially with health-driven workflows.</p>

<p><strong>App Support &amp; Features</strong><strong><br></strong>Wear OS 6 on the Pixel Watch 4 offers far broader app availability, Google Maps, Google Assistant, Play Store apps, and UWB support. Huawei’s ecosystem is more limited, though extremely reliable. Unique features like underwater Nearlink communication and BDS Satellite Messaging (China) push it toward professional outdoor use.</p>

<p><strong>Verdict</strong><strong><br></strong>Pixel Watch 4 clearly wins in the app ecosystem and smart features. Huawei shines in specialized functionality, but Google offers the richer everyday smartwatch experience.</p>

<h2><strong>Battery and Connectivity</strong></h2>

<p><strong>Battery Life</strong><strong><br></strong>Pixel Watch 4’s 455 mAh battery is adequate but still a “daily charger” device for most users. Fast wired charging helps, reaching 50% in 15 minutes. The Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 nearly doubles battery capacity at 867 mAh, delivering multi-day endurance even with heavy GPS use. It suits long trips, workouts, and outdoor adventures.</p>

<p><strong>GPS, Bluetooth, LTE</strong><strong><br></strong>Both offer eSIM for LTE and strong multi-band GNSS. Pixel Watch 4’s UWB and advanced Wi-Fi 6 support give it better smart-device integration. Huawei’s GPS is extremely precise and optimized for marine and outdoor activities.</p>

<p><strong>Verdict</strong><strong><br></strong>Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 is the clear battery champion. Pixel Watch 4 is better for connectivity and ecosystem integration, but not longevity.</p>

<h2><strong>Pricing</strong></h2>

<p>Pixel Watch 4 costs around <a href="https://geni.us/sXU2" rel="sponsored nofollow">€400</a>, making it competitively priced for a flagship Wear OS device. Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 costs nearly <a href="https://geni.us/wpUT" rel="sponsored nofollow">€900</a>, placing it in the ultra-premium category.</p>

<p>Pixel Watch 4 delivers excellent value for mainstream users, while Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 justifies its high price for those needing extreme durability, superior battery life, and advanced health metrics.</p>

<p><em>Disclaimer:</em><strong><br></strong><em>Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, and applicable taxes.</em><em></em></p>

<h2><strong>Conclusion</strong></h2>

<p>The Pixel Watch 4 is best suited for Android users who want a lightweight, stylish, app-rich smartwatch for daily use. It excels in comfort, software, and seamless Google integration. The Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 is ideal for outdoor athletes, divers, and users who want premium materials, deep health insights, and exceptional battery endurance.</p>

<p><strong>Final Verdict<br></strong>If you want a smart, connected daily companion, choose Pixel Watch 4. If rugged luxury, extreme durability, and multi-day battery life matter more, Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 stands out as the superior adventure smartwatch.</p>

This is housed in an aluminum casing that is rated with 5ATM and IP68 for water and dust resistance. <p>After <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung</a> revealed the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/14/who-should-buy-galaxy-watch-8/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Watch 8</a> lineup in July, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/google/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Google </a>followed up with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/27/pixel-watch-4-teardown-shows-google-finally-embracing-repairability/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pixel Watch 4 </a>at its August 20th Made by Google event. Now that both are officially on sale, Android users have two of the most polished Wear OS 6 devices in 2025.</p>

<p>At first glance, both watches look like natural upgrades from last year. Google’s Pixel Watch 4 features a new Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 processor, paired with a Cortex-M55 coprocessor. It results in overall smoother performance and better efficiency.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Google-Pixel-Watch-4-vs-Galaxy-Watch-8-comparison.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-704530" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Google-Pixel-Watch-4-vs-Galaxy-Watch-8-comparison.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Google-Pixel-Watch-4-vs-Galaxy-Watch-8-comparison-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Google-Pixel-Watch-4-vs-Galaxy-Watch-8-comparison-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Google-Pixel-Watch-4-vs-Galaxy-Watch-8-comparison-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Google-Pixel-Watch-4-vs-Galaxy-Watch-8-comparison-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>In fact, Google claims that the base Pixel Watch 4 can last 30 hours with an always-on display. It also supports fast charging, which can juice it up to 50% in just 15 minutes.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 8, on the other hand, sticks with its Exynos W1000 chip but introduces a thinner, wave-like “cushion” design. It’s just 8.6mm thick, which makes it noticeably more comfortable during workouts and even while sleeping.&nbsp;</p>

<p>But which among the two could be a better buy? Let’s take a look.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>Specs and performance</strong></h3>

<p>Google made the biggest internal change this year by moving to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 2, paired with a Cortex M55 coprocessor that handles lighter tasks more efficiently. That combo allows the Pixel Watch 4 to last up to 40 hours on a single charge in its larger 45mm size, without needing a much bigger battery.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Samsung, meanwhile, retains its in-house Exynos W1000 chip from the predecessor. It offers similar battery life as the Pixel Watch 4 but takes about 30 minutes to recharge to 50%. Both smartwatches have 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>Design and display</strong></h3>

<p>The differences are most obvious on the wrist. The Pixel Watch 4 keeps its domed look but now uses a curved OLED screen with slimmer bezels, making it feel more immersive. Google has also moved its charging pins to the side, which changes how the watch docks.</p>

<p>Samsung took a bolder step with the Galaxy Watch 8, introducing a wave-shaped “cushion” design that spreads out components and makes the 8.6mm case surprisingly thin. The display is brighter too, peaking at 3,000 nits, with a touch-sensitive digital bezel for navigation.</p>

<h3><strong>Health and fitness</strong></h3>

<p>Samsung and Google continue to lean on their ecosystems. The Galaxy Watch 8 gets new tricks like Running Coach, which builds training plans based on your performance, and an Antioxidant Index that uses skin sensors to suggest dietary adjustments. All of this is tied into Samsung Health, which is free but works best with Samsung phones.</p>

<p>The Pixel Watch 4 keeps Fitbit at the center of its health features, offering over 40 workout modes and a new Fitbit Morning Brief that summarizes your activity and sleep. But unlocking advanced insights still requires a Fitbit Premium subscription.</p>

<h3><strong>The bottom line</strong></h3>

<p>Both watches bring meaningful updates, but in different ways. The Pixel Watch 4 focuses on performance gains and faster charging, while the Galaxy Watch 8 doubles down on sleek design and Samsung Health’s expanding toolkit.</p>

<p>Which one’s right for you may come down to aesthetics and ecosystem. The Pixel Watch 4 is minimalist and tightly integrated with Fitbit, while the Galaxy Watch 8 feels more technical and fitness-driven. Either way, Android users finally have two flagship smartwatches that feel equally premium.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/google/">Google</a>’s newly launched <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/20/google-pixel-watch-4-launched-india/">Pixel Watch 4</a> isn’t just an upgrade on the surface — it looks like a big win for repairability too. A new teardown from Wired (via Notebookcheck) shows that Google has redesigned the watch’s housing to make repairs far easier than before.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1000" height="562" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/serviceable.width-1000.format-webp.webp?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-703753" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/serviceable.width-1000.format-webp.webp 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/serviceable.width-1000.format-webp-300x169.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/serviceable.width-1000.format-webp-768x432.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/serviceable.width-1000.format-webp-696x391.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/serviceable.width-1000.format-webp-747x420.webp 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /><figcaption>Image: Google</figcaption></figure>

<p>At first glance, the Watch 4 doesn’t look all that different from last year’s model. But inside, things have been reworked. The metal case and curved OLED panel are built for easier disassembly. Removing the back only takes two T2 screws hidden beneath the band slot, giving direct access to the sensors, vibration motor, and the battery. Swapping the battery requires just two more screws, while replacing the display takes about 13 minutes and four screws — something even beginners could manage.</p>

<p>Google also included a silicone ring to maintain IP68 water resistance after a display swap, though the watch won’t be swim-ready once opened. That still puts it ahead of rivals: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/27/court-blocks-apple-watch-series-10s-climate-neutral-marketing/">Apple’s Watch Series 10</a> demands specialized tools, while Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Ultra isn’t quite as straightforward either.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="699" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/5a642ac9-b0c9-4687-b10b-8a5ecdd40b91-1-1024x699.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-703752" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/5a642ac9-b0c9-4687-b10b-8a5ecdd40b91-1-1024x699.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/5a642ac9-b0c9-4687-b10b-8a5ecdd40b91-1-300x205.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/5a642ac9-b0c9-4687-b10b-8a5ecdd40b91-1-768x524.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/5a642ac9-b0c9-4687-b10b-8a5ecdd40b91-1-218x150.jpg 218w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/5a642ac9-b0c9-4687-b10b-8a5ecdd40b91-1-696x475.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/5a642ac9-b0c9-4687-b10b-8a5ecdd40b91-1-615x420.jpg 615w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/5a642ac9-b0c9-4687-b10b-8a5ecdd40b91-1.jpg 1055w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Image: Google</figcaption></figure>

<p>On the feature side, the Pixel Watch 4 runs Wear OS 6 on the new Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 chip, supports satellite SOS, and up to 30 hours of battery life on the 41mm and 40 hours on the 45mm model. Starting at $349, it undercuts the $399 Apple Watch and the $649 Galaxy Watch Ultra.</p>

<p>For users who care about sustainability — or just want to replace the battery when it wears out — the Pixel Watch 4 is one of the most practical wearables yet.</p>

<p>At the recent <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/20/google-pixel-10-launched/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pixel 10</a> series launch event, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/google/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Google</a> introduced the Pixel Watch 4, its most advanced smartwatch yet. The new model brings a redesigned display, longer battery life, faster performance, and the first-ever support for standalone satellite communication. It continues to be the only smartwatch that can detect a loss of pulse.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OM8Rm_3ArrbavjhQ_jI8ko2lmqtJx_IS-1024x817.jpg?x44794" alt="Google Pixel Watch 4" class="wp-image-702551" width="752" height="600" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OM8Rm_3ArrbavjhQ_jI8ko2lmqtJx_IS-1024x817.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OM8Rm_3ArrbavjhQ_jI8ko2lmqtJx_IS-300x239.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OM8Rm_3ArrbavjhQ_jI8ko2lmqtJx_IS-768x613.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OM8Rm_3ArrbavjhQ_jI8ko2lmqtJx_IS-1536x1226.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OM8Rm_3ArrbavjhQ_jI8ko2lmqtJx_IS-696x555.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OM8Rm_3ArrbavjhQ_jI8ko2lmqtJx_IS-1068x852.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OM8Rm_3ArrbavjhQ_jI8ko2lmqtJx_IS-526x420.jpg 526w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OM8Rm_3ArrbavjhQ_jI8ko2lmqtJx_IS.jpg 1604w" sizes="(max-width: 752px) 100vw, 752px" /></figure></div>

<h2>Design and Display</h2>

<p>The Pixel Watch 4 keeps the circular design but adds a new Actua 360 display that is curved across the surface. It provides a 10 percent larger active area with 16 percent slimmer bezels and reaches 3,000 nits brightness, 50 percent higher than before, for better visibility in sunlight. Material 3 Expressive improves visuals with richer colors, new clock faces, and clearer UI elements. A stronger haptic engine and improved speaker enhance daily use.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Pixel-Watch-3-straps.jpg?x44794" alt="Google Pixel Watch 4" class="wp-image-702549" width="874" height="491" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Pixel-Watch-3-straps.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Pixel-Watch-3-straps-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Pixel-Watch-3-straps-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Pixel-Watch-3-straps-696x391.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Pixel-Watch-3-straps-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 874px) 100vw, 874px" /></figure></div>

<h2>Performance and Battery</h2>

<p>The watch runs on the Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 platform with a new ML-powered co-processor that is 25 percent faster while using half the power. The 41mm model has a 325 mAh battery rated for 30 hours, while the 45mm has a 455 mAh battery rated for 40 hours. Battery Saver mode extends life to two days on the 41mm and three days on the 45mm. <p>Android Headlines recently leaked the US and Canadian pricing of the entire upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/31/google-pixel-10-series-pricing-leak-us-canada/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Google Pixel 10 lineup</a>, and now, the publication has also shared US pricing of the Pixel Watch 4, which is expected to debut alongside the Pixel 10 series smartphones this August.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/google-pixel-watch-4-ah-1154x649-1-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="Google Pixel Watch 4" class="wp-image-699718" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/google-pixel-watch-4-ah-1154x649-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/google-pixel-watch-4-ah-1154x649-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/google-pixel-watch-4-ah-1154x649-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/google-pixel-watch-4-ah-1154x649-1-696x391.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/google-pixel-watch-4-ah-1154x649-1-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/google-pixel-watch-4-ah-1154x649-1-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/google-pixel-watch-4-ah-1154x649-1.jpg 1154w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>As per the report, the Google Pixel Watch 4 will retain the same pricing as its predecessor. The 41mm WiFi version will be priced at $349, and the LTE model at $399. The 45mm variant will cost $399 for WiFi and $449 for LTE. The report also shared details about the promos and benefits bundled with the purchase. It claims that buyers will receive six months of Fitbit Premium and one month of YouTube Premium with purchase.</p>

<p>This year’s major upgrade is the new charging system. Instead of a puck charger, the Pixel Watch 4 uses a side-mounted cradle, which exposes charging contacts but allows for faster charging. Google claims it charges 25 percent faster than the previous model, reaching 50 percent in 15 minutes and 80 percent in 30 minutes. This is a notable improvement from the Pixel Watch 3, which took 60 minutes or more for a full charge.</p>

<p>Earlier leaks had already revealed that the Pixel Watch 4 would <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/03/pixel-10-series-to-launch-on-august-20/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">launch on August 20, 2025</a>. Prices in Europe are <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/19/google-pixel-watch-4-pricing-leaked-and-its-actually-good-news/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">expected to remain the same as last year</a>, with the 41mm WiFi model at €399, LTE at €499, the 45mm WiFi at €449, and LTE at €549. These prices are consistent with the Pixel Watch 3, suggesting Google is avoiding any major price increases in key markets.</p>

<p>Under the hood, the watch retains the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip and adds a new co-processor for better AI processing, including Gemini integration. Display brightness is expected to improve to 3,000 nits on a new AMOLED LTPO panel. Battery capacity sees a minor bump to 327mAh (41mm) and 459mAh (45mm), with potential for up to two days of battery life.</p>

<p>The Google Pixel Watch 4 is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/03/pixel-10-series-to-launch-on-august-20/">set to launch on August 20</a>, 2025, and if fresh leaks are anything to go by, buyers may not have to worry about a price hike this year. With details now surfacing for both sizes and connectivity options, the upcoming smartwatch seems on track to match the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/08/13/google-pixel-watch-3-launched-global/">Pixel Watch 3</a>’s pricing — which could make it a solid value pick in 2025.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="Google Pixel Watch 4" class="wp-image-681682" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>According to known leaker <a href="https://x.com/billbil_kun/status/1946192702158045503">billbil-kun</a>, who shared the info on July 18, the 41mm Pixel Watch 4 with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi is expected to start at €399. The LTE version, featuring eSIM support, will reportedly cost €499. Meanwhile, the larger 45mm model is said to be priced at €449 for Wi-Fi and €549 for LTE, keeping the usual €100 gap between the Wi-Fi and LTE variants — as also spotted by Dealabs.</p>

<p>These leaked prices line up closely with the Pixel Watch 3’s launch prices: $349 / €399 (41mm Wi-Fi), $449 / €499 (41mm LTE), $399 / €449 (45mm Wi-Fi), and $499 / €549 (45mm LTE). So, while official US pricing isn’t confirmed yet, it’s likely Google won’t bump prices in major markets like the US or UK.</p>

<p>As for the watch itself, the Pixel Watch 4 keeps the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor but adds a new co-processor to handle AI features — like Gemini integration — with better efficiency. The display reportedly gets a boost too, with a 3,000-nit AMOLED LTPO panel (up from 2,000 nits). Battery capacity also sees a modest increase: 327mAh for the 41mm model and 459mAh for the 45mm, which could deliver up to two days of battery life, according to Android Headlines.</p>

<p>With pricing leaked and some notable upgrades in tow, the Pixel Watch 4 could shape up as a competitive option — especially against rivals like <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/14/who-should-buy-galaxy-watch-8/">Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 8</a>. Here&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/18/pixel-watch-4-everything-we-know-so-far-about-googles-next-smartwatch/">everything we know so far</a> about the upcoming watches from Google.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/google-pixel-watch-4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pixel Watch 4</a> is just around the corner. Set to debut at the <em>Made by Google</em> event in New York on August 20, the next generation of Google’s smartwatch will debut alongside the Pixel 10 series. </p>

<p>We already have our expected features articles for what’s coming with the phones, so consider this your “everything we know about the Pixel Watch 4” piece. Spoiler alert: there aren’t many changes to the visual design, but there are definitely upgrades under the hood and in the software.</p>

<p>So, here’s everything we know so far about the Pixel Watch 4.</p>

<h3><strong>A new chip</strong></h3>

<p>In what’s likely to be a divisive move, Google is sticking with the same Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor found in the Pixel Watch 2 and 3. Originally launched in 2022, this 4nm chip features four Cortex-A53 cores and handles tasks like notifications, fitness tracking, and Google Assistant without noticeable lag.</p>

<p>What’s changing is the co-processor. Google is upgrading to a Cortex-M55 co-processor in the Pixel Watch 4, replacing the Cortex-M33 used in previous models.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-W5-Plus-Gen-1-1024x576.jpeg?x44794" alt="Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 and W5+ Gen 1 SoC" class="wp-image-471500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-W5-Plus-Gen-1-1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-W5-Plus-Gen-1-300x169.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-W5-Plus-Gen-1-768x432.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-W5-Plus-Gen-1-696x392.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-W5-Plus-Gen-1-1068x601.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-W5-Plus-Gen-1-747x420.jpeg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-W5-Plus-Gen-1.jpeg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>This upgrade is expected to deliver faster AI performance, enabling the Pixel Watch 4 to handle up to five times the workload. It will also help offload some of the heavy lifting required by Gemini AI, which is coming to the Pixel Watch 4 after the Galaxy Watch 8.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On paper, the wearable still packs 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, the same as its predecessor. The real improvements will come from software. The Watch 4 will come with Wear OS 6, bringing new watch faces, improved widgets, and a tighter integration between hardware and Google’s software ecosystem.</p>

<h3><strong>Bigger Batteries, Smaller Bezels</strong></h3>

<p>Google seems to be addressing the number-one complaint about its previous watches, i.e., battery life.</p>

<p>This time, the Pixel Watch 4 will come in two sizes, 41mm and, for the first time, 45mm. Both models will have slightly thicker bodies to accommodate bigger batteries. The 41mm version will pack a 327mAh cell (up from 306mAh in the Watch 3), while the 45mm bumps that to 459mAh.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="Google Pixel Watch 4" class="wp-image-681682" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>These upgrades could translate into up to 30 hours of use with the screen always on for the smaller model and up to 72 hours in power-saving mode for the larger one.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Charging speeds are expected to improve as well. Google hasn’t shared exact numbers yet, but faster charging could mean topping up in under an hour, helpful for those who wear the watch overnight for sleep tracking.</p>

<p>And yes, the thick bezels from the earlier Pixel Watches might finally be going away. According to a previous leak, the Watch 4 will have thinner borders around the display, giving it a sleeker look and more screen real estate without increasing the case size dramatically.</p>

<h3><strong>More Customization</strong></h3>

<p>If the hardware isn’t getting a dramatic overhaul, Google is compensating by expanding personalization. The Pixel Watch 4 will launch in four colors: Obsidian (black), Silver, Gold, and Moonstone, a new gray shade with subtle blue undertones.</p>

<p>Beyond the watch cases, Google is also epxcetd to roll out a new lineup of bands. These include silicone for sport use, leather for everyday wear, Milanese loops for more formal settings, and even recycled fabric straps for those who prefer sustainable materials. There are also rumors of limited-edition straps to match the upcoming Pixel 10 phones.</p>

<p>It’s a subtle but important shift. Smartwatches are as much fashion accessories as they are tech gadgets, and Google appears to be treating them as such.</p>

<h3><strong>Small Tweaks to the Design</strong></h3>

<p>While the overall rounded shape of the Pixel Watch 4 isn’t changing dramatically, the body is reportedly a bit flatter. This helps the watch sit more comfortably on the wrist and improves the overall ergonomics, especially for those who wear it all day and night.</p>

<p>One interesting leak suggests a repositioned button and possibly a second programmable button. That could help power users access features or apps faster and improve interaction with Google Assistant.</p>

<p>The addition of Qi wireless charging is also expected, allowing users to juice up the watch using the same pads they use for their phones. This would be a long-overdue but welcome change, considering wireless charging pads are now common in homes and offices.</p>

<h3><strong>Wear OS 6 Out of the Box</strong></h3>

<p>The Pixel Watch 4 will be among the first wearables to run Wear OS 6, Google’s latest smartwatch platform. So you can expect smoother animations, new fitness tracking features, updated health metrics, and more responsive performance overall.</p>

<p>Google is also refining the tiles and widget system to make navigation more intuitive. Combined with Google Assistant and the Pixel ecosystem, this will likely offer the most cohesive Android smartwatch experience to date.</p>

<h3><strong>Final Thoughts</strong></h3>

<p>The Pixel Watch 4 doesn’t bring a major overhaul in some fronts. It doesn’t come with a new chip, radical health features, or dramatic design shifts. But it does mark a sensible evolution, refining what already worked and fixing what didn’t.</p>

<p>If you’ve been holding out for a Pixel Watch that can finally go a full day without charging, or if you’ve been wanting something larger and more customizable, this may be your year.</p>

<p>It won’t blow away the competition in raw specs. But it might just be the most balanced smartwatch Google has made to date.</p>

<p>The upcoming Pixel Watch 4 has just had its full specifications leaked online, and it looks like <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/google/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Google </a>is addressing major pain points from previous generations. The latest smartwatch will sport a brighter display, alongside a new dual chip setup for better efficiency and responsiveness. But these are just some of the upgrades, so here&#8217;s everything that was revealed.</p>

<h2>Pixel Watch 4 Specs Leak: Brighter Screen, Better Battery, &amp; New Chip</h2>

<p>The big leak arrives from an <em><a href="https://www.androidheadlines.com/google-pixel-watch-4-specs" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">AndroidHeadlines </a></em>report. Google is expected to unveil the Pixel Watch 4 alongside its highly anticipated Pixel 10 series of flagship smartphones on August 20. The latest report shares a detailed list of all its specs and features, which confirms the same Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chip that also powered its predecessor. </p>

<p>But what&#8217;s improving this year is the dual chip design that brings a secondary M55 co-processor. It is faster than the M33 co-processor from last year. The upgraded co-processor is expected to help in offering faster AI performance, enabling the Pixel Watch 4 to handle 5 times the workload. So we can expect Gemini AI to be making its way to the Pixel Watch 4.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="Google Pixel Watch 4" class="wp-image-681682" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Google Pixel Watch 4 Leaked Renders</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>This setup is expected to bring a notable improvement in the battery life. The smaller 41mm model is getting a bigger 325mAh cell (up from 301mAh), while the 45mm variant is getting a bigger 455mAh battery (up from 420mAh). The report claims that the 41mm Pixel Watch 4 may offer up to 30 hours of battery life with always-on display enabled or 48 hours with the battery saver mode. </p>

<p>Meanwhile, the 45mm model brings a longer 40 hour battery life with Always-on enabled and 72 hours in battery saving mode. Another quality of life change is that Google will finally let users side charge their Pixel Watches, allowing the smartwatch to be used in a dock and have it charge while acting like a bedside clock. There are also various sensors for SpO2 blood oxygen mapping, heart rate tracking, a compass, multipurpose sensors that work with the ECG app, an altimeter, a gyroscope, UWB (ultrawide band), a barometer, and more.</p>

<p>Google is expected to unveil the Pixel Watch 4 during the Made By Google event on 20th August 2025, with pre-orders likely kicking off on the same date. On the other hand, wider release should follow on August 28. </p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/google/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Google</a>’s Pixel Watch 4, expected to launch later this year with the Pixel 10 series, has appeared in detailed 5K renders shared by Steve Hemmerstoffer (OnLeaks) via <em>91mobiles</em>. The smartwatch retains the circular design of its predecessor, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/08/13/google-pixel-watch-3-launched-global/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pixel Watch 3</a>, but introduces subtle tweaks.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/pixel-watch-4-leak-1-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="Google Pixel Watch 4" class="wp-image-681681" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/pixel-watch-4-leak-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/pixel-watch-4-leak-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/pixel-watch-4-leak-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/pixel-watch-4-leak-1-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/pixel-watch-4-leak-1-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/pixel-watch-4-leak-1-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/pixel-watch-4-leak-1.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The renders show slightly slimmer screen bezels and a back panel resembling the first-gen Pixel Watch. Notably, the four charging pins on the rear are missing, suggesting it may support wireless charging—a departure from the Pixel Watch 3’s USB Type-C charging. Two new physical buttons are added on both sides of the speaker, though their purpose remains unconfirmed.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K2-scaled-1-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="Google Pixel Watch 4" class="wp-image-681683" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K2-scaled-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K2-scaled-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K2-scaled-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K2-scaled-1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K2-scaled-1-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K2-scaled-1-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K2-scaled-1-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K2-scaled-1-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K2-scaled-1-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The Pixel Watch 4 measures 14.3mm thick, up from the Pixel Watch 3’s 12.3mm, likely to fit a larger battery. It will likely launch in 41mm and 45mm sizes, matching the Pixel Watch 3. The leaked Black variant could be joined by additional colors.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="Google Pixel Watch 4" class="wp-image-681682" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Pixel-Watch-4-5K3-scaled-1-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Specifications are still unclear, but the watch is rumored to feature a new chipset, potentially replacing the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 in the current model. Google’s in-house Tensor chip for wearables has been speculated but might not debut this year.</p>

<p>Google has not confirmed pricing, features, or specs. The Pixel Watch 4 is expected to arrive in late 2024, with more details likely emerging closer to launch.</p>
