Now, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/google/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Google</a> has just released some Android games for the Windows.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" title="Google Play Games Beta" width="696" height="392" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/TqkKjtp34Jg?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>For those unaware, the Search Engine giant had <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/12/10/google-will-bring-android-games-to-windows-10-and-11-next-year/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">first announced</a> that it would bring Android games to Windows back in December 2021. The company would port these games through the Play Games app, which would use Windows 11&#8217;s Android app layer. According to an <a href="https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2022/01/google-brings-android-games-to-windows-in-limited-very-limited-beta/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>ArsTechnica</em> </a>report, this feature is finally being rolled out, although it is currently in a very limited beta only version.</p>
<p>Google stated that it is &#8220;excited to announce that some of the most popular mobile games in the world will be available at launch, including <em>Mobile Legends: Bang Bang</em>, <em>Summoners War</em>, <em>State of Survival: The Joker Collaboration</em>, and <em>Three Kingdoms Tactics.</em>” Furthermore, these titles use the Play Games cloud to store achievements as well as progress, which the user will be able to sync their progress across all of your devices like PC, smartphones, and Chrome OS.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-430187 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/google-play-games-featured.png?x44794" alt="google play games featured" width="1920" height="1080" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/google-play-games-featured.png 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/google-play-games-featured-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/google-play-games-featured-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/google-play-games-featured-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/google-play-games-featured-696x392.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/google-play-games-featured-1068x601.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/google-play-games-featured-747x420.png 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></p>
<p>Unfortunately, regular apps are currently not available in the beta, but users can download them through the Amazon App Store or through side loading. The company has even launched a <a href="https://play.google.com/googleplaygames?pcampaignid=PR-Global-oo-gpgbeta-DevBlog" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">beta sign up</a> and a <a href="https://developer.android.com/games/playgames" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">developer</a> site as well. So for those interested, here are the minimum requirements for your system:</p>
<ul>
<li class="wXkptd">Windows 10 (v2004)</li>
<li class="wXkptd">Solid state drive (SSD)</li>
<li class="wXkptd">Gaming-class GPU</li>
<li class="wXkptd">8 logical cores of CPU</li>
<li class="wXkptd">8 GB of RAM</li>
<li class="wXkptd">20 GB of available storage space</li>
<li class="wXkptd">Windows admin account</li>
<li class="wXkptd">Hardware virtualization must be turned on</li>
<li class="wXkptd">Compatible PC device and configuration</li>
</ul>
<p>As per Good, the official release will vary based on the region, but beta testings will begin in Hong Kong, South Korea, and Taiwan. Additional regions will soon be included later this year.</p>

<p>Greg Hartrell, Google’s product director of games on Android and Google Play, revealed that the implementation will allow seamless switching between phones, tablets, Chromebooks, and Windows PCs, allowing your favorite titles from Android to run on more devices than ever before. Games can be resumed on another device after playing on one.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-430187 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/google-play-games-featured-1024x576.png?x44794" alt="google play games featured" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/google-play-games-featured-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/google-play-games-featured-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/google-play-games-featured-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/google-play-games-featured-696x392.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/google-play-games-featured-1068x601.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/google-play-games-featured-747x420.png 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/google-play-games-featured.png 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p id="5EgXmX">Google spokesperson Alex Garcia-Kummert told <a href="https://www.theverge.com/2021/12/9/22827037/google-android-games-windows-pc-google-play-games?utm_campaign=theverge&amp;utm_content=chorus&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter">The Verge</a> that the company has built the app entirely on its own, without a partnership with Microsoft, BlueStacks, or others. It&#8217;s unclear what technology is being used to emulate Android apps on Windows. All we know is that games will run locally instead of streaming from the cloud.</p>
<p>The Google Play Games app will also be distributed by Google itself and will support Windows 10 and up, with no special integration with the OS. Microsoft&#8217;s Android apps virtualization only supports Windows 11, so it&#8217;s great to see now that older Windows 10 machines will also be at least able to run games from Android. Google does not seem to be interested in running standard Android apps on Windows though.</p>
<p id="ReSdal">For now, Google has only teased the app during The Game Awards held yesterday and has promised a release sometime in 2022.</p>
