<p>Nvidia has recently released new drivers for its GeForce series of graphics cards to address the annoying game crashing issue. The company has released the 576.02 GPU drivers that finally offer a fix to the various issues being faced by gamers worldwide. So here are all the details.</p>

<h2>What does Nvidia&#8217;s latest GPU drivers bring?</h2>

<p>Over the last couple of days, Nvidia received many reports from GeForce GPU users regarding game crashes, stability issues, and black screen problems. But the latest 576.02 GPU drivers have been released to fix the many issues caused by the 572.83 drivers that was released back in March 2025. </p>

<p>In the release notes of the Nvidia 576.02 drivers, Nvidia states that the stability issues have been fixed for systems running on Windows 11 version 24H2, which was facing BSOD (Blue screen of death) when playing certain titles with DLSS 4 games with Multi Frame Generation Enabled.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="681" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nvidia-RTX-5050-1024x681.webp?x23692" alt="" class="wp-image-673575" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nvidia-RTX-5050-1024x681.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nvidia-RTX-5050-300x200.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nvidia-RTX-5050-768x511.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nvidia-RTX-5050-696x463.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nvidia-RTX-5050-631x420.webp 631w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nvidia-RTX-5050.webp 1060w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Nvidia RTX 50 series GPU face game crashing issues</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Playing with these settings on RTX 50 series GPUs caused stability issues and random black screen problems as well. The latest drivers help fix crashes for various games like <em>Fortnite</em>, while addressing the <em>Star Wars Outlaws</em> hanging issue when the game is idle. Even <em>Overwatch 2</em> had a stuttering issue with V-Sync enabled. </p>

<p>The update also brings fixes for <em>Control</em>, <em>The Last of US Part 1</em>, <em>Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection</em>, and even <em>Hellblade 2</em>. The 576.02 GPU driver update is currently live and can be found on the Nvidia app. So if you&#8217;ve been facing any of these aforementioned problems, make sure your GPU drivers are up to date.</p>

According to a report, users in China have downloaded the GPU drivers via the official app store.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-339414" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/2-8.jpg?x23692" alt="vivo iQOO 5 5G" width="528" height="528" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/2-8.jpg 528w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/2-8-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/2-8-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/2-8-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 528px) 100vw, 528px" /></p>
<p>A report by ITHome <a href="https://www.ithome.com/0/518/076.htm">says</a> that <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-iqoo-3">iQOO 3</a> and <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-iqoo-5">iQOO 5</a> now support GPU driver update via the respective App Store. With this, the company follows <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi">Xioami</a>, and <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo">OPPO</a> who have already delivered the feature to their flagships earlier. That said, the report also quotes iQOO product manager Ge Lan V saying the updates are supported only from Snapdragon 865/865+ and 765/765G. And not 855 from 2018.</p>
<p>This is true, as Qualcomm announced the feature during the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/12/05/qualcomm-adreno-gpu-updates-will-now-install-via-play-store/">launch of Snapdragon 865 flagship SoC</a>. It basically follows Google&#8217;s Project Mainline like process where Users can update their GPU drivers via the official App Store. Previously, GPU drivers were patched along with System files that gets routed via carriers.</p>
<h6 class="related" style="text-align: center"><strong>EDITOR&#8217;S PICK: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/08/13/xiaomi-mi-10-ultra-is-the-first-device-to-support-qualcomm-adreno-gpu-control-panel/">Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is the first device to support Qualcomm Adreno GPU Control Panel</a></strong></h6>
<p>However, you can now <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/updateable-gpu-drivers">download the GPU drivers</a> separately and update them. This quickly enables games to adapt to the latest driver features thereby improving performance, and stability. As you can see in the screenshot below, the version is currently spotted by Chinese users. And hence, we will have to wait and see if it arrives in the other regions as well.</p>

<p>Simply put, updateable GPU drivers opens a new world where features of OpenGL or Vulkan API can be delivered swiftly to users. Apart from Qualcomm, ARM is another company who also <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/06/25/arm-announces-support-for-updateable-gpu-drivers/">announced GPU drivers support</a>.</p>
<p>After Qualcomm announced the feature, Xiaomi was the first company to<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/04/29/xiaomi-gpu-update-app-china/"> bring the feature</a> to Adreno 650 GPU present on its flagships like <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Mi-10/">Mi 10</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Mi-10-Pro/">Mi 10 Pro</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Redmi-K30-Pro/">Redmi K30 Pro</a>, and more. Following this, OPPO brought it to devices like <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/07/28/oppo-find-x2-x2-pro-receive-gpu-driver-update-in-china/">Find X2 and Find X2 Pro</a>.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">GPU driver updates on Android has been hindered for years as it takes months for OEMs to push them via OTA update. To solve this problem, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Qualcomm"><span style="font-weight: 400">Qualcomm </span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">introduced updateable GPU drivers through smartphone manufacturer’s default app store like Google Play Store.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">This way users can get access to new features from OpenGL or Vulkan API without waiting for OTA system updates from the manufacturers. Also, graphic performances and bug fixes can be easily maintained with this approach just like on PCs.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Thus, realizing the benefits of this move, ARM has also joined the bandwagon but did not reveal the GPUs that will support it. As </span><a href="https://www.xda-developers.com/arms-next-mali-gpu-updateable-drivers-google-play-store/"><i><span style="font-weight: 400">XDA Developers</span></i></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> points out, it could be initially supported by the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/27/arm-cortex-a78-mali-g78-announced/"><span style="font-weight: 400">newly announced Mali-G78 GPU</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, which debuted alongside Cortex-A78 CPU architecture.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Additionally, ARM also announced support for Android GPU Inspector for its upcoming GPUs, which is an open-source profiling tool that helps game developers to optimize graphic performance.</span></p>

Last month, the company <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/03/25/gpu-driver-update-tool-play-store/">added support</a> for older chipsets and listed devices from Samsung and Google to be the first to get the feature.</p>
<p>Now it seems that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> has become the first smartphone manufacturer in China to support this feature. The company has added a GPU Driver Update application on its App Store in China which it claims is for independent updates to improve stability of games such as Crash 3, Peace Elite, Fortnite, and others.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-319930 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Xiaomi-GPU-Update-App.jpg?x23692" alt="Xiaomi GPU Driver Update App" width="1048" height="952" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Xiaomi-GPU-Update-App.jpg 1048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Xiaomi-GPU-Update-App-300x273.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Xiaomi-GPU-Update-App-768x698.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Xiaomi-GPU-Update-App-1024x930.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Xiaomi-GPU-Update-App-696x632.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Xiaomi-GPU-Update-App-462x420.jpg 462w" sizes="(max-width: 1048px) 100vw, 1048px" /></p>
<p>This new method of GPU driver update via <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/google-play-store">Play Store</a> is a welcome move as it&#8217;s much easier than the current solution. At this time, the GPU drivers are packaged with system updates and thus it needs carrier approval before releasing.</p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>EDITOR&#8217;S PICK: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/04/29/omnivision-ov64b-image-sensor-announced/">OmniVision OV64B announced as the world’s first 0.7-micron 64MP camera sensor</a></strong></h6>
<p>Although the new solution requires manufacturers to test the GPU driver updates before releasing them to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/google">Google</a> Play Store for general public, eliminating carrier testing from the process should result in faster deployment.</p>
<p>The initiative of GPU driver updates via Google Play Store was announced as a part of a partnership between Qualcomm and Google for Android GPU Inspector tool for developers that allows to inspect mobile <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/gpu">GPU</a> usage (including Qualcomm’s Adreno GPU) in games to figure out where improvements can be made.</p>
<p>Soon after making the announcement of this new update process, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm">Qualcomm</a> clarified that GPU driver updates won&#8217;t be a monthly thing like security patches and added that it is &#8220;committing to a quarterly cadence for release of updated drivers to the OEM.&#8221;</p>
