<p>The color for the iPhone 13 is simply called Green while for the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-13-pro/">iPhone 13 Pro</a>, it is named Alpine Green. Both the devices in this new color option will be available for pre-order from Friday and will go on sale from 18th March.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-447893 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Apple-iPhone-13-Pro-Green.jpeg?x44794" alt="Apple iPhone 13 Pro Green Color" width="1960" height="1960" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Apple-iPhone-13-Pro-Green.jpeg 1960w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Apple-iPhone-13-Pro-Green-150x150.jpeg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Apple-iPhone-13-Pro-Green-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Apple-iPhone-13-Pro-Green-768x768.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Apple-iPhone-13-Pro-Green-1024x1024.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Apple-iPhone-13-Pro-Green-696x696.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Apple-iPhone-13-Pro-Green-1068x1068.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Apple-iPhone-13-Pro-Green-420x420.jpeg 420w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Apple-iPhone-13-Pro-Green-1920x1920.jpeg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1960px) 100vw, 1960px" /></p>
<p>Although both the shades are looking similar, the Alpine Green color for the Pro series models appears a bit metallic. The company says that it was made with multiple layers of nanometer-scale metallic ceramics applied across the surface.</p>
<p>The Apple <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-iphone">iPhone</a> 13 Pro in Alpine Green is an addition to the already available four colors &#8212; Gold, Silver, Graphite, and Sierra Blue. On the other hand, the iPhone 13 now comes in six colors &#8212; Green, Pink, Blue, Midnight, Starlight, and Product(Red).</p>
<p>We previously reported about Apple planning to introduce a new color option for the iPhone 13 series during the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/03/03/apple-announces-event-8-march/">&#8220;Peek Performance&#8221; event</a> and it has turned out to be true. Last year also, in the month of March, the company had introduced a new Purple color for the iPhone 12 series smartphones.</p>

Now, the company has announced a fourth color option in the Chinese market &#8212; Qingchuan Green.</p>
<p>The new green-colored Sony Xperia 1 III is now up for pre-order in China, until 11th November &#8212; the day of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/double-11">Double 11 sale</a> in the country. The device, which packs 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at 7,999 yuan, which roughly converts to $1,252.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-420496 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Sony-Xperia-1-III-Green-China.png?x44794" alt="Sony Xperia 1 III Green Color Launch China" width="600" height="800" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Sony-Xperia-1-III-Green-China.png 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Sony-Xperia-1-III-Green-China-225x300.png 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Sony-Xperia-1-III-Green-China-315x420.png 315w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></p>
<p>Apart from the new color option, everything else remains the same. It features a 6.9-inch HDR <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oled">OLED display</a> with 3840 x 1644 pixels screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 21:9 screen aspect ratio, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.</p>
<p>Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-888">Snapdragon 888 chipset</a>, coupled with 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB internal storage. There&#8217;s also a microSD card slot for expanding the storage capacity.</p>
<p>It is also well-suited as a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/gaming-smartphone">gaming phone</a>, with a 240Hz touch sampling rate, motion blur reduction, heat suppression technology, and an ability to bypass the battery when playing games and charging the phone.</p>

The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-p10/">Huawei P10</a> which was just announced a few weeks back gets a Greenery shade, while the OPPO R9S, which was announced late last year also got a similar <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oppo-r9s/">OPPO R9S</a> Green edition. Both use similar green shade, a bit different than what we have seen before on smartphones.</p>
<p>Now, if you can&#8217;t recollect, there were a few green colored smartphones in the market before, like the Nokia Lumia 630, iPhone 5C and even the Meizu M1 Note. They all had green variants, but as you might have noticed, they all are mid-range phones at best. Green was never associated as a flagship color shade until this year, where the color has got some serious attention from big brands.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">READ MORE:</span> <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/03/30/comparison-samsung-galaxy-s8-plus-vs-huawei-p10-plus/">Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus vs Huawei P10 Plus</a></strong></p>
<p>Unlike the usual bright green shades that we have seen until last year, the OPPO R9S and the Huawei P10, both use a different shade of green. It&#8217;s more like lime green, one of the lighter shades of green. It&#8217;s pleasant to the eyes but at the same time doesn&#8217;t fail to attract your attention.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Huawei-P10-vs-OPPO-R9S-Green-Models.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-125459" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Huawei-P10-vs-OPPO-R9S-Green-Models.jpg?x44794" alt="Huawei P10 vs OPPO R9S Green Models" width="1024" height="594" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Huawei-P10-vs-OPPO-R9S-Green-Models.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Huawei-P10-vs-OPPO-R9S-Green-Models-300x174.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Huawei-P10-vs-OPPO-R9S-Green-Models-768x446.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></a></p>
<p>So these are two shades of green on the devices. The OPPO R9S has a brighter shade while the Huawei P10 comes in a darker, duller shade of green. The R9S has a single shade of green throughout, except for the two antenna lines while the P10 comes with darker shade on the top part which houses the camera.</p>

Smartphone manufacturers are daily experimenting with different ways they could outwit each other in the race to the top. The competition is now on all fronts; RAM size, processor, display size and type, design and now the smartphone color options consumers get to choose from are ever increasing.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/smartphone-colors-2/"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-124021" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/smartphone-colors-2.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="660" height="439" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/smartphone-colors-2.jpg 660w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/smartphone-colors-2-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px" /></a></p>
<p>Basically, statistics have shown that the most popular smartphone color around is black and that is followed by white color. Apart from these two smartphone colours, which have been regulars, the past year saw a number of new colors emerging which left the norm and surprisingly they&#8217;ve been receiving widespread acceptance. The new color options we have seen the past one year are quite many but basically, we&#8217;ll be looking at those used on smartphones with the all-metal body, particularly the flagships. During this period we have seen smartphones in green, blue, red, rose gold colors and there was also the Mocha brown variant we saw on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-mate-9-2/">Huawei Mate 9</a> but that wasn&#8217;t popular per se.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2> [envira-gallery id=&#8221;124597&#8243;]</h2>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h1 style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0000ff;">BLUE</span></h1>
<p>Blue has been one stand out color option during this period under review. A couple of years back, we would have thought colors like blue were only reserved for low-end and mid-range smartphones with a plastic body but flagships like the Honor 8 sported a blue variant and that didn&#8217;t make it look less premium. Calling it Sapphire blue only added some flavor to the name. Google Pixel and Pixel XL also came with a bright, vivid blue variant. Samsung also added a Coral Blue variant to the  Galaxy S7 Edge lineup recently and it added more sleekness to the flagship.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/03/21/color-red-iphone-7-7-plus-gets-new-color-variant/red-iphone-7-and-7-plus/" rel="attachment wp-att-123232"><br />
</a><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/galaxy-s7-edge-blue/"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-124054" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Galaxy-s7-edge-blue.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="840" height="473" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Galaxy-s7-edge-blue.jpg 840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Galaxy-s7-edge-blue-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Galaxy-s7-edge-blue-768x432.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 840px) 100vw, 840px" /></a></p>
<div class="idgGoogleAdTagAjax articleAd-banner desktopBanner"></div>
<h2 class="idgGoogleAdTagAjax articleAd-banner desktopBanner" style="text-align: center;"></h2>
<h1 style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">RED</span></h1>
<div id="ad_leadfull0_desktop" class="idgGoogleAdTagAjax articleAd-banner desktopBanner">One of the smartphone colors that has become trendy within the last one year is red and this is a popular one. Just recently, Apple introduced a red variant to the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus and the response was tremendous. OPPO also gave the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/01/05/oppo-r9s-new-year-anniversary-edition-unboxing-images-red-hot/">OPPO R9 and R9 Plus a red paint job </a>that looks very attractive. Earlier on, HTC had released the HTC 10 and Desire 830 with one of the available color options being red on both models. Perhaps the most defining smartphone which made red phones a lot more special is the red variant of the Huawei P9 which received lots of positive appraisals. Huawei chose to continue the same trend on the P10 by including a red variant to its range. Red seems to be hot in 2017 and expect a few more models in this shade in the coming months. If you missed, even the local manufacturer <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/03/27/umidigi-z-red-becomes-android-alternative-iphone-7-red/">UMi has a Red UMI Z variant</a>.</div>
<div class="idgGoogleAdTagAjax articleAd-banner desktopBanner"><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Red-iPhone-7-and-7-Plus.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-123232" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Red-iPhone-7-and-7-Plus.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="708" height="518" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Red-iPhone-7-and-7-Plus.jpg 708w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Red-iPhone-7-and-7-Plus-300x219.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 708px) 100vw, 708px" /></a></div>
<h1 class="idgGoogleAdTagAjax articleAd-banner desktopBanner" style="text-align: center;"></h1>
<h1 style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #99cc00;">GREEN</span></h1>
<div class="idgGoogleAdTagAjax articleAd-banner desktopBanner"></div>
<div class="idgGoogleAdTagAjax articleAd-banner desktopBanner">Another popular color which was found on smartphones this last year was Green. There seems to be an ongoing green revolution presently. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei/">Huawei</a> also included a green color variant on the P10 which was also done on the P9. Just days back, OPPO added a new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/03/27/official-promotional-images-green-oppo-r9s/">green variant to the R9 and R9 Plus</a>. At CES 2017, Xiaomi unveiled three new color variants for the Mi Note 2 and one of them was a green but all three are yet to be available commercially. So, it won&#8217;t be surprising if we see more green colored smartphone in 2017.</div>

<div class="idgGoogleAdTagAjax articleAd-banner desktopBanner">We could go on and on, there are colors aplenty which stood out during the last one year. Remember Xiaomi also <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/01/06/xiaomi-mi-note-2-gets-three-new-colors-pink-green-purple/">unveiled a purple variant of the Mi Note 2 at CES as well as a pink variant</a>? Rose gold is another shade of gold which is more like pink and has become a regular option on smartphones in the past couple of years. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/comparison/xiaomi-mi-note-2-vs-huawei-mate-9-pro/">Mi Note 2</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/meizu-pro-6/">Meizu Pro 6</a>, iPhone 7, OPPO R9 and R9 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge and several other high-end smartphones featured a rose gold variant in their lineup. This trend will continue in 2017 as well.</div>

<div class="idgGoogleAdTagAjax articleAd-banner desktopBanner">We look forward to several more unique color options in the upcoming smartphones. Already, there are rumors presently that Xiaomi is planning to make the Mi 6 available in a range of color options and we really can&#8217;t wait to see that happen. Perhaps, you too can tell us in the comment section, the color option that catches your fancy presently.</div>
