Now the company is rolling out the HarmonyOS 4 public beta program for an additional 12 smartphones and five smartwatch models, including the Huawei P30 and Mate 20 series. Users can now upgrade their devices to the latest version of HarmonyOS through the Huawei Sports Health app or directly from their smartwatch settings.

Additionally, during the Huawei Pocket 2 Fashion Ceremony, held on February 22, Yu Chengdong revealed plans for a major version update to the Hongmeng system in the coming fall. The company recently announced the fourth iteration of its custom OS, HarmonyOS 4.0, and it has already been installed on over 10 million devices. Here are the details.

Huawei previously announced that just two weeks after its release, HarmonyOS 4 had been installed on 5 million devices. An impressive 1 million users upgraded to this new operating system on its very first day. The company has now shared another milestone, claiming that over 10 million devices have already adopted HarmonyOS 4.0.

Huawei is rolling out the latest software to eligible devices at a rapid pace. The company first added over 30 smartphones to the HarmonyOS 4.0 beta program and later it included 37 more devices to the roster.

HarmonyOS 4.0 comes with several notable changes, including rich theme templates and stylized layout design. You’ll be able to select the colors of your app icons and set emoji wallpapers and home screens by selecting your favorite emoji.

It will also let you better manage your notifications, by clustering them together and sorting them by importance. The notifications of the same application are now stacked into dynamic cards so that you can see more information about each notification without having to open it. Huawei’s new smart TV, the Vision Smart Screen SE3, to launch on August 31

The Huawei Vision smart screen lineup has a number of TVs that are packed with intelligent features and have a premium design. Recently in May 2023, the company announced a new TV under this lineup, the Vision Smart Screen 3. Now, Huawei has announced that another new TV under this series, the Huawei Vision Smart Screen SE3, will be released on August 31.

Huawei has released a teaser video for its upcoming Vision Smart Screen SE3 TV on Weibo. The video shows that the TV has an AI super-sensing camera, which is also found on the Vision Smart Screen 3. This camera can be used for intelligent functions such as bone joint recognition, portrait tracking, and sitting posture/distance reminder.

Likewise, the TV will have a 120Hz refresh rate and 4K resolution screen. It will run on the latest version of Harmony OS, as confirmed by the words “Powered by Harmony OS” at the end of the teaser video. There is not much other information available about the TV yet.
