Back in February, Chinese smartphone maker HiSense had introduced the HiSense F50 5G smartphone. The arrival of the phone was delayed for reasons best known to the company. The successor of the Hisense F40 phone from last year is the first phone to feature the new UNISOC (previously known as Spreadtrum) T7510 5G chipset. Last week, HiSense had confirmed that the HiSense F50 5G will arrive in Chinese markets on April 20. The day has arrived, and the company has confirmed on its pricing. However, the sale date of the phone is yet to be revealed.

HiSense F50 specifications and pricing

The HiSense F50 is fitted with a 6.52-inch waterdrop notch screen. The backside of the phone has a nano-scale holographic texture. It has a rear-facing fingerprint reader.

The quad camera setup placed on the rear side of the HiSense F50 5G comprises of a 48-megapixel main lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, a 120-degree 8-megapixel superwide lens and a 2-megapixel macro shooter with 3cm focal length. Coupled with AI algorithm, the quad cameras of the HiSense F50 supports night mode photography, HDR, AI beauty and more.

The HiSense F50 is backed by a massive 5,010mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The Unisoc T7510 chipset supports SA/NSA dual-mode 5G connectivity. The SoC supports N41, N78 and N79 mainstream 5G frequency bands. The T7510 is an octa-core SoC with four 2.0Ghz Cortex-A75 cores and four 1.8GHz Cortex-A55 cores.  The SoC supports 30fps 4K codec, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.0.

HiSense has confirmed that the 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage version of the HiSense F50 5G is priced at 2,199 Yuan (~$310). There is no word on whether the company will be selling the phone in other RAM and storage editions. Also, as mentioned above, the company is yet to confirm on its sale date.

Hisense revealed its F50 5G smartphone back in February. However, the handset is yet to be announced officially. Only a few days back, the UNISOC’s Tiger T710 powered device received its April 20 launch date. Now today, the brand teased the complete design of its first-ever 5G smartphone in a video on Weibo.

The teaser video posted by the company confirms the Hisense F50 5G to sport a dew-drop notch display with visible bezels all-around including a larger chin than other 5G smartphones in the market. According to the video, the phone will come in three gradient colour options. The first version resembles ‘Black’ Galaxy A50, the second variant looks similar to ‘More than White’ Mi A3, and the last one mimics ‘Aura Glow’ Galaxy Note 10 Plus.

Further, the teaser once again confirms the presence of UNISOC Tiger T710 Dual Mode (SA / NSA) 5G chipset, a 5,010 mAh battery, and 48MP quad-camera setup. According to a previous teaser, the phone will also have support for 18W fast charging.

The star of the Hisense F50 5G is the UNISOC Tiger T710 5G SoC. It will be the first phone to feature this chipset when it will be launched officially in a few days. The T710 is a 12nm octa-core processor consisting of four Cortex-A75 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and 1.8GHz respectively. The graphics are handled by a PowerVR GM 9444 GPU, whereas the 5G connectivity is possible because of Ivy V510 modem.

Back in February, Hisense announced its very first 5G smartphone called the Hisense F50 5G. The phone, which is powered by UNISOC’s Tiger T710 5G processor, packs four rear cameras and a pretty big battery. However, Hisense failed to announce a release date until today.

The Chinese manufacturer which also makes TVs and a bunch of other home appliances shared a poster today revealing that its F50 5G smartphone will be unveiled on April 20.

The poster confirms that the Hisense F50 5G will support SA and NSA 5G networks and also has a Hi-Turbo AI Engine.

The Tiger T710 processor is a 12nm octa-core chipset with 4x Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and 4x Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. It also has a PowerVR GM 9444 GPU and an Ivy V510 modem. We actually can’t wait to see how it performs against other mid-range 5G processors.

The Hisense F50 5G will come with a 5010mAh battery capacity with support for 18W fast charge. It will also have an 8mm wide cooling pipe. There are still a lot of unknowns but we should know all there is about the phone when it is unveiled next week.
