<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/hmd/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">HMD</a> appears to be gearing up for a wave of new budget smartphones. While the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/21/hmd-pulse-2-plus-and-pulse-2-pro-specs-leak-news/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pulse 2 series is reportedly in the works</a>, a fresh leak from trusted HMD tipster <em>HMD MEME’S</em> points to two more devices on the horizon. Codenamed “MAHUZE” and “ACCORD,” the phones are expected to launch as the HMD Bold and HMD Crest 2, respectively.</p>

<h2><strong>Both are powered by a Unisoc chipset</strong></h2>

<p>Let’s start with the more powerful of the two. The HMD Crest 2 (or ACCORD internally) will be powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/03/04/unisoc-t8300-5g-launched-a-6nm-chipset-for-mid-range-phones-with-satellite-connectivity/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Unisoc T8300 5G chipset</a>. That’s an octa-core processor built on TSMC’s 6nm process, featuring a 2+6 core setup. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">HMD &quot;ACCORD&quot;<br>&#8211; Unisoc T8300U 5G SoC<br>&#8211; 4, 6, 8GB of RAM<br>HMD &quot;MAHUZE&quot;<br>&#8211; Unisoc T7250 SoC<br>&#8211; 4, 6 GB of RAM</p>&mdash; HMD_MEME&#39;S (@smashx_60) <a href="https://twitter.com/smashx_60/status/1946439415758483735?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">July 19, 2025</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p>The prime is two Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at 2.2GHz, while the SoC has six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores running at 2.0GHz for efficiency.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In performance tests, the HMD Crest 2 scored 743 on Geekbench’s single-core benchmark and 2285 in multi-core, decent numbers for a budget 5G phone. It’s expected to come with 4GB, 6GB, or even 8GB of RAM, depending on the configuration.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="720" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/HMD-Accord-Geekbench.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-697689" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/HMD-Accord-Geekbench.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/HMD-Accord-Geekbench-300x250.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/HMD-Accord-Geekbench-696x580.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/HMD-Accord-Geekbench-504x420.jpg 504w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /><figcaption>HMD Crest 2 (Accord) Geekbench</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>On the other side is the HMD Bold. It is rumored to be powered by Unisoc T7250, an entry-level chipset that still brings respectable specs. It features two Cortex-A75 cores at 1.8GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.6GHz, manufactured on TSMC’s 12nm FinFET process. The Bold is expected to come in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants.</p>

<p>There is no official word yet on the release date or pricing, but if the leak from <em>HMD MEME’S </em>is anything to go by, these phones could land soon. We will keep you in the loop if we get any new details about them.</p>
