<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-375428 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/HONOR-20-series.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="1199" height="675" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/HONOR-20-series.jpg 1199w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/HONOR-20-series-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/HONOR-20-series-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/HONOR-20-series-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/HONOR-20-series-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/HONOR-20-series-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/HONOR-20-series-746x420.jpg 746w" sizes="(max-width: 1199px) 100vw, 1199px" /></p>
<p>If you recall, the stable update has already been rolled out to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/01/08/honor-20-pro-v20-magic-2-magic-ui-4-0-stable-update/">these devices in China</a>. Now, the global variants of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-honor-20/">HONOR 20</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-honor-20-pro/">HONOR 20 Pro</a>, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-honor-v20/">HONOR V20</a> are getting the Magic UI 4.0 global stable version. Carrying the build with firmware version 11.0.0.138, an OTA update weighing about 1.84GB in size is rolling out.</p>
<p>This software version is based on the EMUI 11 which is in turn an Android 10-based UI without GMS. Huawei <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/09/10/huawei-announces-emui-11-features-updated-beta-devices/">unveiled the EMUI 11</a> back in September 2020. Due to the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei-us-ban">tussle with the US</a>, the company couldn&#8217;t incorporate the latest <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/android-11">Android 11</a> as Google was barred from working with the Chinese giant.</p>
<p>That said, the UI still had improved features like Photo sharing Privacy, Gallery, ringtones, UI animation, multiwindow mode, and more. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Magic-UI-4-0/">Magic UI 4.0</a>, which is based on this, also has the relevant features and if you are having one of the devices mentioned above, you can expect the following features to land on your device:</p>
<ul>
<li> Artistic themes</li>
<li>Multi-screen collaboration</li>
<li>Smoother animation</li>
<li>Super notepad</li>
<li>Subtle effect</li>
<li>Rhythmic ringtones</li>
<li>Notepad &amp; Photo sharing Privacy</li>
<li>Undisturbed screen protection, and more.</li>
</ul>
<p>Anyway, the update is reportedly in the early stages and it might take a few days to reach everyone as a result of staggered rollout. Huawei has announced the plan of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/02/22/harmonyos-upgrade-huawei-flagships-mate-x2-from-april-2021/">updating the flagships to its HarmonyOS</a> in the future and we will have to wait and see what HONOR does for its devices.</p>

No, the launch hasn&#8217;t been canceled even with the recent happenings between the US Government and the Chinese tech giant.</p>
<p>Last weekend, the official <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/honor">Honor</a> Weibo account released a poster that not only confirms the launch dates of the phone in London and China but also teases a partnership with the upcoming X-Men: Dark Phoenix movie.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-254085" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Honor-X-MEN-Dark-Phoenix.jpg?x10805" alt="Honor 20 series + X-MEN Dark Phoenix" width="690" height="1024" /></p>
<p>The teaser poster shows the Honor 20 (not sure if it is the standard or the Pro model) in the background and a picture of Jean Gray, the character the Dark Phoenix movie is centered around.</p>
<p>The text on the poster confirms the release date of the movie which is on the 6th of June, and the launch of the phones (May 21 in London and May 31 in Shanghai).</p>
<p>The Weibo post confirms the Honor 20 series will have quad cameras. It also states that Honor will be giving away 50 tickets to lucky winners to see the movie. However, there is no clear mention of a special Dark Phoenix edition Honor 20 phone.</p>
<p>In other news, camera samples of the Honor 20 Pro have surfaced. The pictures were taken at the Cannes Film Festival. What do you think of the pictures?</p>

The phones will also be unveiled in London, exactly a week after the OnePlus 7 series. While we wait, new posters have surfaced that tease the cameras the phones will have.</p>
<p>These posters not only confirm the number of (rear) cameras on the phones but one of them actually tells us what type of lens each sensor uses.</p>
[envira-gallery id=&#8221;252749&#8243;]
<p>As you can see in the images above, there are four piercings on the lips and ear, signifying the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro will have quad rear cameras. The images also show us the cameras are arranged in an L-shape.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-252747" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Honor-20-series-poster.jpg?x10805" alt="Honor 20 series poster" width="900" height="900" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Honor-20-series-poster.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Honor-20-series-poster-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Honor-20-series-poster-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Honor-20-series-poster-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Honor-20-series-poster-696x696.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Honor-20-series-poster-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></p>
<p>The third poster is the one that actually tells us the type of lens each sensor has. The first bubble has a regular picture which represents the standard lens. The second bubble is an ultra-wide angle picture as it shows a wider view of the first image and thus confirms the phones will have an ultra-wide angle lens.</p>
<p>The third bubble has a really close-up picture of a leaf with the background blurred, representing the macro lens. The last bubble shows a close-up view of the two birds in images 1 and 2, confirming the phone also has a telephoto zoom lens.</p>

<p>Last week, the camera specs for the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro were leaked. The Honor 20 will have a 48MP f/1.8 primary camera, a 16MP super wide-angle camera, a 2MP depth assist camera, and a 2MP Macro camera. The Honor 20 Pro will also have a 48MP primary camera too but with a larger f/1.4 aperture. There is a 16MP super wide-angle camera too but it swaps the 2MP depth sensor for an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. However, it keeps the 2MP Macro camera.</p>
