Last month, along with the Honor View 20 flagship smartphone, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer had also launched its two wearable devices in the Indian market — Honor Band 4 Running Edition and Honor Watch Magic.

While the Honor Watch Magic recently went on sale in India, the company has now started selling the Honor Band 4 Running Edition in the Indian market. Carrying a price tag of Rs. 1,599 (approximately $23), the new fitness tracker is available for purchase through Amazon India.

The Honor Band 4 Running Edition goes on sale in India just a couple of months after the Honor Band 4 was listed on Amazon India. The Running Edition model is said to be a “watered down” variant of the standard model.

The Honor Band 4 Running Edition comes with similar specifications as that of the conventional Band 4 launched year along with some added features such as running posture monitoring, water-resistance up to 50 meters and two wearing modes.

The fitness tracker comes with a 0.95-inch OLED display and a 2.5D glass on top. Just like the Xiaomi’s Mi Band 3, the Honor Band 4 is also water resistant up to 50 meters and also recognizes Swim strokes. It supports functions such as sleep tracking, exercise tracking, pedometer, continuous heart rate monitoring with Huawei TruSeen 2.0 technology, and sedentary reminder.

In addition to tracking activities, the device also shows notifications on the OLED display and even offers an incoming call-mute function. The device also comes with built-in NFC support, meaning that it can also be used to make payments. Under the hood, the fitness tracker is powered by a 100mAh battery, which the company claims can deliver standby time of up to 14 days.

The Honor Band 4 Running Edition is available in a slew of different color options, including Black, Blue, Red, Yellow, Green, and Pink. However, currently, it’s available in Red and Green colors only.

Honor India has been teasing on the arrival of the Honor Band 4. However, it is yet to officially confirm on the release date of the fitness date. Fresh information shared by My Smart Price reveals that the first sales of the Honor Band 4 will take place on Dec. 24.

The Honor Band 4 fitness tracker was introduced in India alongside the Honor 8C smartphone in the previous month. The publication claims that it has been revealed through a chat conversation with Amazon India’s customer support that the Honor Band 4 will be releasing in India on Dec. 24. The Band 4 will be exclusively available for purchase through Amazon India from the said date. It is very likely that the Honor India’s official online store will also carry out the sales of the fitness tracker. However, the Chinese manufacturer is yet to officially confirm on the release date of Band 4.

There is no information available on the pricing of the Honor Band 4 for India. The fitness band from Honor will be rivaling with Xiaomi’s Mi Band 3 that is now available with a price tag of Rs. 1,999 (~$28) in India. The Honor Band 4 was introduced in China in September with a price tag of 199 Yuan (~$28.86). There is a possibility that the Band 4 could be priced at Rs. 1,999 in India.

The Band 4 is equipped with 0.95-inch AMOLED touchscreen color display which is shielded by 2.5D curved glass. It includes a 100mAh battery and carries support for 5ATM water resistance which allow users to use it safely in 50 meters deep of water. It consists of various health-centric features such as real-time heart monitoring, sleep tracking, swim tracker and pedometer.

For connectivity, it is equipped with Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC. It can also show notifications for messages and calls when paired with a smartphone. It is expected to arrive in blue, black and pink colors in India.

The 32 GB and 64 GB Honor 8C models are respectively priced at Rs. 11,999 and Rs. 12,999. It can be purchased exclusively through Amazon India. Jio users who purchase the Honor Band 4 can benefit from Rs. 4,450 cashback and 100 GB of 4G data.

The handset can be availed in colors like Black and Blue. Amazon India will begin the sales of the smartphone starting from Dec. 10. It can be also purchased through Honor India’s official online store. The pricing and release of the Honor Band 4 is yet to be confirmed.

Honor has started teasing the launch of the fourth-generation fitness band and while no specific date has been revealed, its likely to get launched tomorrow alongside the Honor 8C.

For those who are unaware, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has scheduled a launch event in India tomorrow for the launch of Honor 8C smartphone. The phone was originally launched in China earlier this year in August as a successor of the Honor 7C.

It has been one week since Huawei’s Honor brand launched the Honor Band 4 and Band 4 Running version but the dust generated by the stunning wearables is yet to die down. The Band 4 has now been unboxed by the guys at MyDrivers and we thought it wise to bring you the pictures of what may soon be a fast-selling wearable device.

The unboxing pictures show us the design from all angles including the straps and other accessories like the charging apparatus. As you already know, the Honor Band 4 comes with a full-touch coloured AMOLED screen which sets the fitness tracker from its rivals. A coloured screen separates it from the likes of Mi Band 3 which features a black and white screen even though it is OLED.

The display is 0.95 inches with a resolution of 240x120pixels. The screen is covered with a 2.5D curved glass which is more scratch resistant than plastic. The high definition colour screen brings out the beauty of the device’s user interface. The resolution ensures the displayed content is still clear and readable outdoors, even under the sun. The device also comes with auto brightness adjustment at night (night mode). This mode reduces consumption and protects the health of the eyes. Smartbands are basically about their displays so it is no surprise Huawei revamped the Band 4 display. The device doesn’t come with any button. There is a home button on the screen for navigation.

Huawei’s Honor brand launched the Honor Band 4 alongside the trimmed down Band 4 Running Edition last week during the Honor 8X and 8X Max launch event. Both wearable devices went up for pre-orders immediately after their launch and the sales were scheduled for today (September 11). Honor has now announced that the Honor Band 4 Running Version got sold out within two hours after the sales opened.

The Honor Band 4 Running version is cheaper than the Band 4. It adopts a 99 yuan ($14) price tag unlike the Band 4 which has a 199 yuan (~$29) price tag that is twice that of the Running version. The Band 4 Running version comes with a stylish design which Honor says is inspired by the styling characteristics of the sports car inlet, which contains a steady stream of power. The smart band is suitable for footwear and incorporates Honor’s self-developed step counter algorithm to record every step in real-time.

It is equipped with a six-axis sensor and has a stronger sensing capability. Combined with the upgraded running posture algorithm, the running distance accuracy is 97%. More importantly, the Honor Band 4 Running version can detect seven data indicators which include location, landing impact, valgus amplitude, swing angle, stride, step frequency, bottoming time, etc. The smart band can be worn on the wrist as well as on the running shoes. When on the wrist, it has time display, accurate step counting, sleep monitoring, call reminder, message reminder, vibration alarm clock, phone call rejection, Bluetooth disconnect reminder, mute call, calorie consumption, sedentary reminder, find mobile phone, do not disturb mode, target reach reminder and other functions.

The Running version will be on presale at 10.08AM daily China time from September 11 to September 19. The device will be on sale next on September 20.

Apart from the Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max announced today, Honor also unveiled its latest smartband, the Honor Band 4. The new smart band packs a number of new and interesting features good enough to give other smart bands a run for their money.

The biggest change is the addition of a color AMOLED display. The screen is 0.9-inches and can display up to 45 Chinese characters. Another new addition is support for continuous heart rate monitoring.

Unlike some other smart bands that only monitor at intervals, the Honor Band 4 monitors your heart rate all the time. The heart rate chart can be viewed on the app. The band will also notify you if your heart rate is high and has an infrared sensor for nighttime detection. Honor says they have upgraded the heart rate sensor and increased the size to cover a larger area.

The Honor Band 4 has NFC and supports payment. The band can still track steps, swimming speed, calories burnt, and distance covered. The Honor Band 4 is waterproof up to 50 meters. It also alerts you of calls and messages.

The band connects via Bluetooth 4.2 and works with devices running iOS 9.0 and up and Android 4.4 and up. It weighs 23 grams and measures 43 x 17.2 x 11.5 mm. Honor doesn’t state the battery capacity but says it can last up to 14 days when it’s not continuously tracking your heart rate and 6 days if continuous tracking is turned on.

The Honor Band 4 is priced at ¥199 (~$29) and comes in pink, black, and blue. It will be sold on JD.com. Pre-orders are already underway before it goes on sale on September 11.

Later today, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor will be announcing Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max smartphones. The Chinese manufacturer is also expected to announce Honor Band 4 fitness tracker at the same event. The smartband is now listed on AliExpress with a price tag of $39. The pricing seems to be true as the Honor Band 3 costs around $35. The early listing of the Band 4 also contains many official images. Honor’s upcoming fitness tracker has also bagged approved from the Federal Communications Commission in the U.S. through which some of its key features have been revealed.  

The AliExpress listing of the Honor Band 4 does not contain any accurate information on its specifications. Even though listing shows the device in two color variants such as Black/Red and Gray/Green, the other official images show the band in multiple colors like Blue/Black, Pink/Black and Yellow/Black.

The Honor Band 4’s FCC listing has revealed that it has a model number of CRS-B19 and it is based on Lite OS which is Huawei’s homebrewed operating system for powering IoT devices. The device can be paired to a smartphone through Bluetooth.

The Honor Band 4 will be arriving with a large AMOLED screen, but the exact size is not known. Some of the health-centric features that are available on the Band 4 are real-time heart monitor, sleep tracker, water-resistance of up to 50 meters with swim stroke and pool swimming recognition. It also tracks multiple sports activities.

The smart notification feature shows alerts for calls, messages and alarm on the fitness band. The 100mAh battery of the Band 4 promises up to 14 days of battery life on normal usage. These features suggest that Honor has prepped up a very good rival for the Mi Band 3 fitness tracker that was launched by Xiaomi in May. As of this writing, the pricing of the Band 4 is under the wraps. There is a possibility that the company may price it competitively to take on the Mi Band 3.

The Honor 8X and 8X Max are rumored to arrive with respective screens of 6.5 inches and 7.12 inches. They are also expected to respectively feature 3,650mAh battery and 4,900mAh battery. The Snapdragon 660 SoC is expected to power both phones. Both devices are expected to be available with up to 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage.

Huawei’s Honor brand is expected to hold a conference tomorrow where the Honor 8X and 8X Max will be unveiled. Apart from the Honor 8X models, the brand is expected to go official with the Honor Band 4.  The Band 4 is the fourth in the series and will be an upgrade over last year’s Band 3. Apart from renders and teaser posters, we are yet to see the Band 4 live photo but that seems to have changed.

Honor’s President George Zhao was pictured during a media interview at the recently concluded IFA exhibition and on his wrist is a smart band suspected to be the Band 4. The Band 4 looks very similar to the ones we had seen on Honor’s teasers. The major highlight of the new smart band which will surely set it apart from its contemporaries is that it has a coloured screen. The color of the screen makes it easy to check out the parameters such as time, heart rate monitor even under the sun. This solves the issue of the screen content unable to be seen clearly under the sun.

A new image posted by the manufacturer’s Weibo account has revealed that it will also announce a new smartband – the Honor Band 4. The Honor Band 3 was released nearly a year ago, so it is no surprise a successor will be launching soon.

Just like the Honor 8X, the Honor Band 4 will also come in two variants – a regular version worn on the wrist like a regular smartband and a second variant called the Honor Band 4 Running Edition that can be attached to your running shoes.

A second teaser poster also released today teases some of the features the new smart band will have. It will have NFC (likely limited to the wrist version), sleep tracking, ability to track swimming and running activities, and it will also serve as a shutter button when taking pictures with your phone.

With respect to design, we can see the circular button from the Honor Band 3 will return. The accompanying text even mentions a color display.
