Honor released the Band 6 in November last year as a sleek, yet durable fitness tracker. The smart band features a full-screen integrated design without physical buttons. It packs a 1.47-inch display which is nearly twice as large as the displays of most fitness bands in the market.

One year after, the company has now pushed a new update that brings a refreshed new feature to the fitness band. The Honor Band 6 comes with support for a single blood oxygen detection function, which can quickly monitor the user’s blood oxygen status. However, the new feature is an extension of the blood oxygen monitoring to a continuous one.

This is the first major firmware upgrade the fitness band will be receiving and aside from the continuous blood oxygen monitoring, the band also supports real-time viewing, low blood oxygen vibration reminder in the non-sleeping state, continuous health monitoring.

In addition, the sports mode is upgraded from support for 10 sporting activities to a staggering 95! Thus, there is always a sport that can suit everyone in order to enhance general fitness and wellbeing.

A few days ago, HONOR teased the launch of the HONOR Band 6 in global markets. Today, it has finally launched the full-screen fitness tracker for €49.90.

HONOR Band 6 Price, Availability

As mentioned above, the HONOR Band 6 is priced at €49.90. It will be available for purchase on AliExpress and shipping starts March 28(via XDA). The fitness tracker comes in Meteorite Black, Sandstone Gray, or Coral Pink color options as well.

However, the listing on the website shows that there is an 11th Anniversary sale on March 29 at 12:00 AM PT. Additionally, the fitness tracker will be available via HiHonor stores from April.

HONOR Band 6 Specifications and Features

The HONOR Band 6 isn’t new to us. The company unveiled the world’s first full-screen fitness tracker in China back in November 2020. Later, it announced the product for the global markets at CES 2021.

However, it didn’t go on sale until now and that ends on March 29 as per the AliExpress listing. Anyway, talking about the difference between the Chinese and the Global version, the latter doesn’t come with NFC built-in but the former has one with NFC and one without NFC.

As for design, the Watch has a square display and a strap that is made of silicone. It measures 43 × 25.4 × 11.45mm in dimensions and weighs about 18g (without strap).

The fitness tracker features a 1.47-inch rectangular AMOLED display with a resolution of 194 x 368 pixels and 2.5D glass. Although it has a red physical button on the side, it mostly relies on gestures for navigation across the UI.

However, it has all the necessary sensors 24-hr heartrate monitoring, Blood Oxygen measurement(SpO2), and others like an accelerometer, a gyroscope. There is Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity but it doesn’t have GPS.

The HONOR Band 6 also supports 10 sports modes, sleep monitoring, menstrual cycle monitoring, 5ATM water resistance, up to 14-day battery life(180mAh battery), and magnetic charging.

Back in November, HONOR launched the HONOR Band 6 as the world’s first full-screen fitness tracker in China. Two months later in January, the brand showcased this product at CES 2021. At the event, the company confirmed that this smart band will be available in select markets priced at around $35. Now, a couple of months later, HONOR finally teases the global launch of HONOR Band 6.

The official Twitter handle of HONOR Global tweeted an image of the HONOR Band 6 with the text ‘Something BIG Is Coming’. This post by the brand clearly indicates the imminent global launch of its new fitness tracker.

As far as specs are concerned, the HONOR Band 6 sports a 1.47-inch rectangular AMOLED display with a resolution of 194 x 368 pixels and 2.5D glass. The fitness tracker comes in three colors (Meteorite Black, Seagull Grey, Coral Powder) with a subtle HONOR branding on the left side and a red-accented power key on the right.

The wearable connects with devices via Bluetooth 5.0 but unfortunately, it does not feature GPS. However, it includes all the necessary sensors, such as an accelerometer, a gyroscope, an optical heart rate sensor for heart rate monitoring, and a SpO2 sensor for blood oxygen level monitoring.

Further, it supports 10 sports modes, sleep monitoring, menstrual cycle monitoring, 5ATM water resistance, up to 14-day battery life, and magnetic charging.

Last but not least, the HONOR Band 6 measures 43 × 25.4 × 11.45mm in dimensions and weighs about 18g (without strap).

HONOR, the sub-brand of HUAWEI has officially launched HONOR Band 6 as the world’s first fitness tracker with a full-screen display. It comes in two variants – without NFC and with NFC. The design of this wearable is unlike its predecessors. It can be considered as the mini version of the recently launched HONOR Watch ES.

HONOR Band 6 Specifications and Features 

The HONOR Band 6 flaunts a 1.47-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 194 x 368 pixels and 2.5D glass. It does not come with a capacitive key because it uses gesture navigation like on smartphones. But it houses a red-accented physical button on the right side to wake up the screen. Whereas, on the left side, it features HONOR branding,

The fitness tracker comes in three color options namely Meteorite Black, Seagull Grey, and Coral Powder. However, it is worth noting that the colors are only applicable for the strap as the body remains black in all three variants.

Talking about features, it supports 10 sports modes, blood oxygen level monitoring, HUAWEI TruSeen 4.0 24-hour heart-rate monitoring, HUAWEI TruSleep sleep monitoring, menstrual cycle monitoring, and up to 14-day battery life. Additionally, the NFC version also supports contactless payments and voice assistant.

Further, the internals of this wearable includes Bluetooth 5.0, accelerometer, gyroscope, optical heart rate sensor, and a 180mAh battery. It is water-resistant up to 5ATM and charges via a magnetic charger

Last but not least, it bears the model number ARG-B19, measures 43 × 25.4 × 11.45mm in dimensions, and weighs about 18g without the strap.

HONOR Band 6 Pricing and Availability

The HONOR Band 6 is available in two variants. Their prices are as follows.

• HONOR Band 6 – 249 yuan ($37)
• HONOR Band 6 NFC – 289 yuan ($43)

Both the variants will be available for pre-order starting November 4 (tomorrow) and will go on sale from November 11 (Single’s Day sale) in China. 

Although HONOR did not say anything about its international availability, the product should make it to global markets like other wearables from the brand.
