HTech announced a couple of accessories alongside the Honor X9b smartphone in India today. One of them is the Honor Choice Watch, which we have already covered. The second one is Honor Choice Earbuds X5.

Let’s check out these truly wireless earphones in this article. In short, it is a budget pair offering several sought-after features, such as ANC and longer battery life.

Honor Choice Earbuds X5 Specifications

The audio accessory resembles AirPods Pro. Both the buds and the charging case are almost similar to Apple’s offering. It also arrives in a single white color option.

The buds feature in-ear tips and are IP54-rated for splash resistance. They connect with devices via Bluetooth 5.3.

They support AAC and SBC audio codecs. They offer touch gesture controls and a low latency mode for gaming sessions.

The earbuds support ANC (Active Noice Cancellation) for music playback and ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) for calls. They also come with an ambient mode to let the external sound in when required.

The product is compatible with the Honor AI Space app. Thus, it can be paired seamlessly with Honor devices. The application can be used for customizing the earphones.

Finally, the buds are rated to last for up to 9 hours on a full charge with ANC turned off. With the charging case, this number increases to 35 hours.

Honor Choice Earbuds X5 Price in India

The Honor Choice Earbuds X5 are priced at ₹1,999 (~$25) in India. The accessory can be purchased starting 12 PM on February 16 from Amazon.

But the smartphone model won’t be alone as it is set to arrive along with a new truly wireless earbuds called Honor Choice Earbuds X5 and the Honor Choice Watch. Now, the company has shared a fresh teaser that showcases its battery life. So let’s have a look.

Honor Choice Earbuds X5 Teaser

The brand’s upcoming Choice Earbuds X5 was teased on the X (formerly Twitter), with an image poster sharing its 35 hours long battery life. This teaser arrives soon after the Choice Earbuds X5 was officially confirmed to launch in India alongside the Honor X9b. As of right now, these wireless earphones have also surfaced on Amazon India, which confirms more of its specifications.

The Honor Choice Earbuds X5 will launch with an IP54 water and dust resistance. Each earbud weighs just 4.26 grams in weight and will offer a low latency mode for gaming. It will house a 10mm moving coil for improved sound quality as well. This model will support the Bluetooth 5.3 standard and offer up to 35 decibels of Active Noise Cancellation.

Thanks to its dual mics, the hearables offer ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) for an improved calling experience. It will also be paired with the Honor AI Space app to tweak touch controls and audio as well as receive firmware upgrades. Honor is gearing up to launch its second smartphone – the Honor X9b in India on February 15 at 12:30 pm local time. Now, the brand has confirmed that it is launching two wearables at the same event. The devices are the Honor Choice Watch and Honor Choice Earbuds X5. The company says that these will help expand the brand’s portfolio in the country.

Honor Choice Earbuds X5 and Choice Watch India launch confirmed 

The Honor Choice Earbuds X5 is already available in China whereas the Choice Watch seems to be similar to the Honor Haylou Watch in the home market. The Indian variants are expected to be slightly different compared to their Chinese counterparts. 

Both the upcoming wearable devices from Honor are confirmed to be available from Amazon. The e-commerce platform has already put up a microsite of the Choice Earbuds X5. They will feature an in-ear design with a stem and silicone ear tips. The TWS earphones are confirmed to be IP54-certified dust and water-resistant. The Choice Earbuds X5 will also be able to connect to two devices simultaneously. 

As for the Honor Choice Watch, the brand has not teased any official details yet. An unboxing video shared by CEO Madhav Sheth revealed a squarish dial and a physical button on the right side. The smartwatch will come with a heart-rate monitor, sleep tracking, and support for various workout modes. The Choice Watch will pack a built-in calculator, weather app, alarm, calendar, and the ability to control music playback. The upcoming offering will support magnetic charging.

Honor Choice Earbuds X5 spotted on Amazon India

To recall, the brand’s Honor X9b smartphone is set to launch in India on February 15. The company recently teased the anti-drop display feature as well earlier this week. Soon after the teaser, a leak from a tipster revealed that the smartphone will be arriving in the country alongside the Honor X9b. However, it appears that the Honor Choice Earbuds X5 will be joining the two devices.

As the name suggests, it is a pair of truly wireless earbuds that was previously teased to launch in India. In a leak, the packaging retail box was revealed and the latest sighting is on Amazon. The landing page e-commerce platform lists the TWS earbuds with the tagline “Unlock the eXtra”. It also adds that the earbuds will be an Amazon Specials product, which will be “Coming Soon.”

The Honor Choice Earbuds X5 earbuds were previously released in the Chinese market, which offers us an idea regarding its specifications. The Choice Earbuds X5 features 10mm audio drivers and dual microphones for ENC as well as ANC of up to 30 decibels. It supports AAC and SBC audio codecs along with low latency gaming, and Bluetooth 5.3 support.

Recently, Htech started teasing the arrival of it next smartphone in India. It is expected to be the Honor X9b that debuted in global markets last year. Now, the Htech CEO Madhav Sheth has dropped a teaser of the Honor Choice Earbuds X5 on his X (formerly Twitter) handle. It confirms the launch of the TWS earphones in the country. Similar to the X9b smartphone, the audio device also launched in China last year. 

Honor Choice Earbuds X5 officially teased

The teaser shared by Sheth does not divulge in to the core specifications of the Honor Choice Earbuds X5. It focuses on unboxing and reveals the same design as the variant available in China. The TWS earphones come in a pebble-shaped storage case and feature a stem and silicone ear tips. There is a USB-C port on the case. The audio device will come with two different sizes of earbuds and a manual. On the back side of the retail box, we were also able to spot active noise cancellation and 35 hours long battery life on the Choice Earbuds X5. 

It’s likely that the Honor Choice Earbuds X5 and the Honor X9b will debut at the same time. We can expect the brand to drop more teasers and reveal the launch date in the coming weeks. 

Notably, the Honor Choice Earbuds X5 seems to be different compared to the China variant. In the brand’s home country, the TWS earphones are equipped with a 13.4mm driver. There are dual microphones with ENC. The audio device features Bluetooth 5.3 and can connect to two devices simultaneously.

Now, in a new development, it seems that Honor is also planning to launch a TWS earphone called the Choice Earbuds X5 in the country. The information comes from an X user @ZionsAnvin. Honor Choice Earbuds X5 expected to launch in India 

ZionsAnvin shared images of the gift hamper sent to him by Htech on the occasion of the upcoming Diwali festival in India. The box comprises various goodies including the Honor Choice Earbuds X5. Another image gives us a closer look at the TWS earphones. The retail box reveals that the audio device features active noise cancellation, 35 hours of battery life, and Bluetooth 5.3 stable connectivity. As seen on the retail box, the earbuds have an in-ear design with silicone ear tips and come in a pebble-shaped case. 

The appearance of the Honor Choice Earbuds X5 indeed hints at their arrival in India in the near future. However, the brand is yet to officially announce the launch details of the device. Notably, the upcoming TWS earphones also seem to be different from the Honor Earbuds X5 that debuted in China in May this year. 

The Honor Earbuds X5 has an AirPods-like design. They feature a 13.4mm driver and environmental noise cancellation. The TWS earphones also pack a multipoint connection and are claimed to offer 27 hours of battery life.
