Honor has been teasing its HUNTER gaming laptop for weeks now. Finally, the wait is about to over as the brand has officially announced to launch it on September 16 in China. It will be not the only product debuting at this event as the company has also confirmed to unveil HONOR Watch GS Pro and HONOR Watch ES for its home market.

HONOR HUNTER gaming laptop has been in leaks for a while now. Even the brand executives have been teasing it for weeks. Hence, we know some of the features of this upcoming notebook.

It is expected to feature vent design inspired by supercars with RGB LED lightings around it as well in the keyboard. A teaser video even revealed it to be powered by Intel Core i7 processor, however, there could be a variant with Core i5 like the Redmi G Gaming laptop. Further, it is also teased to have better thermal performance.

This laptop could debut as HONOR HUNTER V700 with model numbers – FRD-WFD9 & FRD-WDG9. On the other hand, the HONOR Watch GS Pro and HONOR Watch ES should be exactly the same as the ones launched yesterday at IFA 2020 for Europe.

Since the launch will take place only in the third week of September, we can expect Honor to drop more information regarding its first gaming laptop on Weibo daily or intermittently until the day of the event.

HONOR has been teasing its first-ever gaming laptops for a few weeks now. Apart from official teasers by the brand as well as its executives, the notebooks have also leaked multiple times. Now, according to a tipster, they will launch on September 16 alongside two smartwatches.

The HONOR gaming laptops will be marketed under its HUNTER series of gaming products. Currently, the brand only sells a router under this series. But we can expect the portfolio to grow in the coming months.

The company is yet to announce the launch date for these notebooks. But according to 长安数码君 (Changan Digital King) on Weibo, they will be officially unveiled on September 16. As per him, at the same event, the brand will also debut two smartphones, one of which resembles the HUAWEI Watch Fit.

Talking about features, HONOR HUNTER gaming laptops have been confirmed by the brand to feature Intel chipsets. A leak even revealed its design to be inspired by supercars. Lao Ming (aka Glory Bear), the brand’s VP also teased it to feature RGB lightings a few days back.

Last week, the same executive also shared a teaser video, which showcased the design of the HUNTER gaming laptop. The video also confirmed one of the variants to be powered by Intel Core i7. Also, it revealed them to feature an RGB-backlit keyboard with a special key engraved with the HUNTER logo.

According to a leak, this notebook will be marketed as HUNTER V700 and will be available in at least two variants with model numbers – FRD-WFD9 / FRD-WDG9. That said, we will know more about these products in the coming days as their launch is nearing.

Honor has been long rumored to launch gaming laptops. The brand officially confirmed it a couple of days back. Yesterday, it even revealed these notebooks to be powered by Intel chipsets. Now, last evening, one of the company executives also confirmed them to feature LED lightings for aesthetics by sharing some pictures.

Chinese brands have a habit of revealing everything about their new products except pricing and availability before their official launch. Continuing the tradition, Honor has begun to tease the features of its first-ever gaming laptops.

Lao Xiong, one of the VP of Honor is commonly referred to as Glory Old Bear on the internet via translation. He is known for teasing new products like the brand’s president Zhao Ming (George Zhao).

Yesterday, he shared two pictures of an upcoming Honor gaming laptop model with their aesthetics LEDs turned on. The first image shows the illuminated “HUNTER” logo at the back along with lightened up borderlines Whereas, the second image seems to tease LED light even for the supercars-inspired massive vent but that is just a guess from our end. Further, since the picture shows only blue color, we cannot say for sure for these LED lights to be RGB. Anyway, it is better than not having them at all like the newly launched Redmi G Gaming Laptop.

That said, we expect Honor to reveal the launch date for these gaming laptops as soon as next week.

Earlier today (12th August 2020), Honor officially revealed the logo of its new gaming laptops. This marks the Huawei subsidiaries’ entry into the laptop gaming market, with the company revealing the brand’s logo as well.

The Honor Hunter series is the official brand name of the upcoming gaming laptop series. The Chinese tech giant also shared the company logo through an official image poster on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website. In the image, the words “Hunter is coming” are also written in Chinese that may be indicative of an imminent launch. Previously, a senior official had revealed that the company’s first gaming laptop will feature great heat dissipation capabilities, which is likely the Hunter series.

Furthermore, it was also revealed that the new gaming laptops will be “a lot thinner than expected.” Notably, Redmi also recently revealed the design of the Redmi G Gaming Notebook series. The Xiaomi subsidiary is also launching a new gaming laptop series on 14th August 2020, so we can expect the Honor Hunter series to be a likely competitor in the same market. Unfortunately, no finer details regarding the Honor Hunter series is currently available, and its launch is also unknown. Honor has been teasing the launch of its first gaming laptops for a while now. It was initially thought to launch this month, instead, the company released 2020 Ryzen Editions of MagicBook Pro and MagicBook 14/15. According to a tip, they may be finally debuting in August. But ahead of it, the branding and design sketches of these gaming laptops have leaked.

The upcoming gaming laptops will not be the first gaming products from Honor. The brand already launched a gaming router dubbed as “Honor Hunter Gaming Router” alongside Honor V30 series in November of 2019. Turns out, these forthcoming laptops will also launch under “Hunter” series.

Just like ASUS ROG, Lenovo Legion, Acer Predator, HP Omen, and Dell Alienware, Honor will use “Hunter” branding for its gaming products. The design sketches for its first laptops reveals them to feature supercars-inspired massive vent for better heat dissipation.

These sketches also expose the brand logo along with its placement on the laptops. Further, it also reveals the series model number – FRD, which goes in line with the 3C certification listing from a few days back.

Unfortunately, the specs of Honor Hunter gaming laptops are still a mystery. But since the brand announced a partnership with AMD, we can expect them to feature Ryzen processors with dedicated NVIDIA GPUs.
