Honor has introduced its new MagicBook, featuring the i5-13420H processor with specifications including 4 large cores + 4 small cores, a turbo frequency of 4.6GHz, a core display of 48EU, and a core display frequency of 1.4GHz. In comparison to its predecessor, the i5-13500H, the i5-13420H has 4 fewer small cores and a slightly reduced L3 cache and frequency, resulting in a minor decrease in core display performance.

The MagicBook can switch between smart and high-performance dual modes, supporting up to 45W high-performance mode. The device prioritizes efficient heat dissipation with a large-sized high-performance fan, high-density S-shaped slim fan blade design, and dual heat-dissipation copper tubes, resulting in a 29,700 mm² heat-dissipation area.

The MagicBook’s display features an IPS matte screen with a 16:10 ratio, 300nits brightness, and 100% sRGB color gamut. It supports full-range DC dimming and incorporates Honor’s self-developed “natural light-like eye protection” technology, utilizing Rheinland hardware low-level Blue light and TUV Rheinland flicker-free dual eye protection certification.

Other specifications include a built-in 60Wh battery, a slim profile at 17.9mm thickness, and a weight of approximately 1.75kg. With Honor OS Turbo technology, users can expect about 11 hours of local 1080P video playback time and 10 hours of daily office use. The device also supports 65W fast charging for added convenience.

Pricing

The Honor MagicBook X14/X16 with Core i5-13420H has a price tag of 3799 yuan ($532) and 3899 yuan ($546).

Honor has updated its MagicBook X14 laptop in India. It had debuted in India last year. The latest offering comes with an upgraded processor. However, the rest of the specifications of the device remain the same. Let’s take a look at what the laptop offers out of the box. 

The Honor MagicBook X14 sports a 14-inch display bearing an FHD resolution, TUV Rheinland flicker-free and low blue light certification. The laptop has a premium aluminium metal body with a 180-degree hinge. It features a backlit keyboard and a fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. There is a 720p pop-up camera module located on the keyboard between the F6 and F7 function keys.

Under the hood, the Honor MagicBook X14 is equipped with an 11th-generation Intel Core i5 processor paired with Intel Iris Xe GPU onboard. The laptop packs 8GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB PCIe NVME SSD storage. The machine features a cooling fan for heat dissipation. The Honor MagicBook X14 is powered by a 56Wh battery unit with support for support 65W fast charging via a USB-C port.

Software-wise, the Honor MagicBook X14 runs on Windows 11 Home OS out of the box. Connectivity options on the laptop include a USB 2.0 port, USB 3.0 Gen 1, HDMI port, 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi and Bluetooth. 

The Honor MagicBook X14 carries a special price tag of Rs 41,990 till January 20th instead of the regular price of Rs 46,990. It is available in Space Gray colour and can be purchased on Amazon. Under the Rs 50,000 price tag, the Honor MagicBook X14 goes against laptops offered by brands like Xiaomi, Realme, Lenovo, Dell, and more.
