Earlier today, Honor shared images of its upcoming high-end tablet— MagicPad 13. We noted the tablet shares its design with the company’s latest number series, featuring two camera rings on the back. Now, the new slate has been spotted on the Geekbench website running the Snapdragon 888 SoC under the hood. Here are the details.

Honor MagicPad 13 packs a 3-year-old processor with heating problems

The MagicPad 13 has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking website with model number HONOR GDI-W09. The listing suggests the device comes equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. This 5nm processor was launched in 2020 and powered the majority of the flagship that year. Manufactured by Samsung, the chip offers a solid performance but runs hot.

Further, the tablet is listed to bring two RAM variants— 16GB and 8GB. According to Geekbench 5, the MagicPad 13 achieves a single-core score of 1118 points and a multi-core score of 3585 points. In Geekbench 6, it achieves a single-core score of 1267 points and a multi-core score of 3558 points. On the software front, the tablet runs Android 13, liked skinned by Magic OS 7.

The tablet will feature a good-looking design similar to the Honor 90 series, with slim and symmetrical bezels on the front. It will provide an immersive multimedia experience with its 13-inch 2.8K IMAX Enhanced eye protection screen. The display will also support a 144Hz refresh rate and is claimed to be “Honor’s most powerful display on a tablet so far.”

Previous teasers suggest that the Honor MagicPad 13 will support 66W fast charging. The company is also including bare-ear 3D spatial audio, as well as Honor Super Office suite apps and other functions. We are bound to learn the rest of the details on July 12 during the tablet’s launch in China.
