Honor Note 10 vs OnePlus 6: Design

Both Honor Note 10 and OnePlus 6 boast an impressive design with a glass back and an aluminum frame like the most premium flagships. But I would personally pick OnePlus 6 for two reasons which are not related to individual preference. First, thanks to its notch, it features a higher screen-to-body ratio (but not everyone likes the notch and you may be among the ones hating it). Secondly, OnePlus 6 is splash resistant (no IP certification given), while Honor Note 10 does not provide any protection against water.

Display

Talking about displays, Honor Note 10 is way more interesting as it is equipped with a huge 6.9-inch screen, the biggest panel with a tall aspect ratio ever seen on a smartphone. It also supports AMOLED and HDR10 technologies, providing stunning viewing quality. It is a comfortable display for multimedia, multi-tasking, and games. But note that, even though it has very narrow bezels, it makes the smartphone much bigger than its opponent. Due to its dimensions, Honor Note 10 is not a smartphone for everyone.

Honor Note 10 vs OnePlus 6: Specs & Software

On the paper, OnePlus 6 wins the performance comparison thanks to its Snapdragon 845 chipset, up to 8 GB of RAM and blazing speeds in every scenario. But Honor Note 10 has still a great flagship-level hardware composed of a Kirin 970 SoC and up to 8 GB of RAM. It is optimized for gaming thanks to its GPU Turbo technology which raises performance by up to 60%, but we think OnePlus 6 remains a better phone when it comes to performance. However, we will have to test the Honor Note 10 for a definitive confirmation. OnePlus 6 comes with a stock Android experience (OxygenOS), while its opponent has the highly customized EMUI. In general, its hard to pick out a definitive winner in this section since both are powerful phones.

Honor Note 10 vs OnePlus 6: Camera

The camera side seems better on the OnePlus 6 on the paper, even though we still had no chance to see a good amount of camera samples taken from the Honor Note 10. But OnePlus 6 has a brighter aperture and provides stunning detail in almost every light condition, so we doubt that Honor Note 10 will even get close to its opponent. Further, the OP6 features OIS and even 4K videos are stabilized.

Battery

OnePlus 6 is just an average battery phone with its capacity of just 3300 mAh. OnePlus never aimed to provide a very long battery life but it prefers to focus on the thickness by equipping its devices with a “one-day battery”. On the other hand, Honor Note 10 has a big 5000 mAh unit thanks to its big size allowing its presence. So, it will last way more than its opponent. On the other hand, OnePlus 6 charges faster thanks to its Dash Charge technology and obviously the smaller battery.

Honor Note 10 vs OnePlus 6: Price

Honor Note 10 is currently available only in China and its price starts from $452. OnePlus 6 costs €519 worldwide and about $503 in China. So, there is not a big difference in prices. Further, I am unable to pick a winner of the comparison which could be suitable for every kind of user. If you like bigger displays and you do not mind about having a very big device, then you should go for the Honor Note 10. But OnePlus 6 has better performance as well as a better camera department. If you are a gamer, the OnePlus 6 may apparently look the best choice, but the liquid cooling system included in the Honor Note 10 and the way longer battery life make it more suitable even for many gamers.

Which one would you personally pick?

Honor Note 10 vs Xiaomi Mi Max 3: Design

If you get a big phablet like Huawei Honor Note 10 and Xiaomi Mi Max 3, keep in mind that you have to deal with a huge device that is not comfortable to fit in your pockets. But on the other hand, they are very handy to use as an entertainment monster. Honor Note 10 and Xiaomi Mi Max 3 are smaller than the typical phablet thanks to their very narrow bezels, and this is an added value of both the devices. When it comes to aesthetics, Honor Note 10 wins thanks to its more elegant glass back paired with an aluminum frame. Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has a full metal unibody design and is uninspiring.

Display

The display is another plus point for the Honor Note 10. It features one of the most impressive panels ever seen on an extra-large phablet. Not only does it have narrow bezels, but also AMOLED and HDR10 technology making its color incredibly vivid and realistic, with very deep blacks. Sadly, it does not feature the Quad HD+ resolution, it would have been amazing on a huge 6.9-inch display, but it still remains an outstanding panel.

Honor Note 10 vs Xiaomi Mi Max 3: Specs & Software

Even when it comes to hardware, Honor Note 10 is way superior! With its Kirin 970 SoC and up to 8 GB of RAM, it achieves flagship-level performances and it is very cool for gaming and multi-tasking. Further, it has the wonderful GPU Turbo technology which enhances graphics performance by up to 60 percent, another added value for gaming. Xiaomi Mi Max 3 instead is just a mid-range device.

Honor Note 10 vs Xiaomi Mi Max 3: Camera

Both devices have pretty good cameras even though they are far from the top camera phones. Unfortunately, there are still no detailed camera samples and the handsets are still not in our market, so we did not have the chance to test them in detail. But on the paper, Honor Note 10 looks better with its dual 16 and 24 MP camera setup and its bright f/1.8 aperture on both the sensors. Note that you can check out our Mi Max 3 video review from here!

Battery

Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has a huge 5500 mAh battery, bigger than the 5000 mAh unit of the Honor Note 10. And it even features a very efficient chipset, the Snapdragon 636. From how usually Xiaomi optimizes its devices, I believe that Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will provide a longer battery life. Finally, an aspect in which the Mi Max 3 should win, as it loses under all the other points of view.

Honor Note 10 vs Xiaomi Mi Max 3: Price

Honor Note 10 is definitely the winner of this comparison, but if you do not need a very powerful flagship with a high-end display, note that Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has a more affordable price tag. Honor Note 10 is available in China for $410/€350 in its base variant, while Mi Max 3 starts from $252/€215.

To be honest, it’s not really fair to compare these two devices despite being large sized phablets. They are clearly aimed at two different market segments. The Honor Note 10 is meant to be your flagship phablet, while the Mi Max 3 is looking to be more of a mid-range and budget phablet option. Both the phones are pretty impressive, but if you need something that’s a flagship grade device for gaming and HD streaming, the Honor Note 10 is your best bet. For someone looking for a more budget option, the Mi Max 3 turns out to be a pretty great option too! Personally, a SD710 variant would’ve been a great option for better gaming on the large screen device, but SD636 is pretty good too, since its nearly as powerful as the SD660. In fact, you can check out our detailed analysis of the Snapdragon mid-range family from here!

Its sub-brand Honor had recently announced Honor 10 GT and Honor Note 10 smartphones with Kirin 970 SoC onboard. Various smartphone OEMs are expected to debut new flagship phones in the second half of the year. An industry insider from China with well-known track record on leaked information on forthcoming phones has shared the list of flagship smartphones that are slated to debut this year.

August

The Meizu 16 series that includes Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus smartphones are expected to go official on Aug. 8. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is slated to go official on Aug. 9. The Smartisan Pro 3 and OPPO R17 are rumored to go official later in this month. The 360 N7 Pro is likely to get announced later in August or September.

September

The LG V40 ThinQ is expected to get unleashed in September. A recent report has revealed that after its unveiling in September, the company release it in the market in early October.

The 2018 iPhones will be also arriving in September. Recent reports have suggested that the two upcoming OLED iPhones may debut as iPhone 9 and iPhone 9 Plus. The company is also expected to announce LCD iPhone in September. However, a recent report has claimed that since the Cupertino company has encountered production issues with the LCD iPhone, it may hit the market by October or early November.

Last year, Xiaomi had launched the Mi MIX 2 on Sept. 11 and on the very next Apple had announced the iPhone X as its first OLED iPhone. Hence, the Mi MIX 3 is pegged to arrive in September this year. However, the leakster has claimed that there is a possibility that the smartphone may get announced in October. A recent report has revealed that it may arrive with improved design.

October

The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL phones are speculated to go official either in September or October. Since the predecessor Google Pixel phones were unveiled in October, it is likely that this year also the company may follow the same launch pattern. The Nubia Z19 and Huawei Mate 20 series that includes Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro are poised to get unveiled by mid-October.

November

By mid-November, OnePlus may announce the OnePlus 6T smartphone. Honor may rival it by launching the Honor V11 smartphone around the same time.

December

360 Mobiles may announce the 360 N8 flagship by mid-December. Honor may introduce the Honor Magic 2 as the successor for Honor Magic that was announced in December 2016. Vivo X22 or Xplay7 is also likely to debut by the end of this year. Could this be the first ever 10 GB RAM phone that is rumored to go official this year?

The leakster has further claimed Apple 12 that powers the forthcoming 2018 iPhones is a 7nm SoC. The 7nm Kirin 980 SoC is expected to fuel Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Honor V11 and Honor Magic 2 smartphones. Rest of the phones are speculated to feature the 10nm Snapdragon 845 SoC. However, it seems unlikely that the OPPO R17 and Vivo X22 will arrive with SD845 SoC.

Some of the other flagship phones that are not mentioned in the above list include Nokia 9 or Nokia A1 Plus, Razer Phone 2, Sony Xperia XZ3, Xperia XZ3 Compact and XZ3 Premium. The Moto Z3 is expected to official tomorrow.

Xiaomi’s Mi Max series started the trend of such large screen entertainment smartphones and even Honor joined the party with its own Note series back in 2016. Today, Huawei’s sub-brand is has launched the update to the two year old Note series smartphone, called the Honor Note 10. The phone joins the likes of the Mi Max 3 aimed at users who are looking for a phone bordering the size of a tablet.

Honor Note 10: Design

The Honor Note 10 is massive and that’s evident from its 6.95-inch 18.5:9 full screen display. Mind you, this is an AMOLED panel, unlike LCD on the Mi Max 3 and comes with 115% NTSC color gamut. The phone features 2.5D glass on the front and the back. The glass on the back has a special metal oxide nano-coating which makes it glitter under light. We are used to seeing special effects on the glass back of Honor smartphones, so this design was expected.

Apart from reducing the bezels around the display of the Honor Note 10, as compared to its predecessor, the Note 8, the phone is also narrower which will ensure that its easy to grip despite its huge display on board. There are two color options available, phantom blue (mixture of violet and blue) and magic night black.

As you might have already noticed, the Honor Note 10 ditches the notch, unlike other recent Honor smartphones, which is a welcome sign for notch haters.

Overall, the Honor Note 10 does pretty well for a nearly 7-inch monster smartphone. The front design is symmetric with minimal bezels, while the back with its special nano-coating looks beautiful. Design wise, you shouldn’t have any complaints.

Honor Note 10: Specs

Since the Note 10 is all about its 6.95-inch display, let’s talk about that first. The display is an AMOLED panel with 600 nits brightness and 70,000:1 contrast ratio. The phone supports HDR10 format, which means you get a better color range, making for a better viewing experience. For a smartphone that’s meant to be an entertainment monster, HDR10 support is definitely a big deal. Further, the Honor Note 10 boasts of AI video quality enhancement which promises improvement in video quality by up to 20%. The company explains that the phone uses AI to intelligently fill pixels on the screen to make it look more vibrant.

But what’s the use of a good display without great audio, right? Honor has got you covered here as well. The Honor Note 10 features symmetric stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

Apart from the large screen, one of the key highlights of the Honor Note 10 is its special CPU Turbo button. The phone features a dedicated Turbo key on the right side which will essentially start cleaning up background processes to allow CPU performance to reach its peak capacity. The Turbo mode will reportedly allow the Honor Note 10 to run even the heaviest of games without any hiccups. What’s more, you can customise this Turbo button for different functions like acting as a recording button during gameplay or as a shutter button in camera mode. Note that the phone comes with GPU turbo as well!

With the CPU running at its peak capacity, there’s always the question of heating. Honor is taking care of this issue as well, by adding a “PC level liquid cooling system” called “THE NINE” liquid cooling technology. The tech involves using a liquid cooling tube similar to the MacBook Air and can enhance heat dissipation capacity by 41% and reduce the maximum CPU temperature by up to 10 degrees celsius. That’s pretty impressive!

Coming to the other Honor Note 10 specs, the phone features the flagship Kirin 970 processor with up to 8GB RAM option and a gigantic 5000mAh battery to keep you running for more than a day. The company claims that you can play wilderness action for up to 4.5 hours and king of glory for up to 6.5 hours at a stretch with this large battery on board. Charging the large battery isn’t an issue since the phone supports 5V 4.5A super fast charging that’ll ensure that it gets topped up in around 2 hours!

The Honor Note 10 is not all about gaming, it’s also a good option for office and business use. The phone supports 1080p wired as well as wireless projection. Given its large display, there’s also a split display mode.

Coming to the cameras, the Honor Note 10 has the same setup as the Honor 10 featuring a 16MP + 24MP f/1.8 dual cameras. So, the camera performance should be similar to the Honor 10 as well. However, the Note 10 comes with AIS (AI image stabilisation) technology which will also aid in improving night photography. There are other standard features such as scene recognition, different beauty mode for selfies and AI bokeh.

Despite the similarities in the screen size, the Honor Note 10 and the Mi Max 3 are clearly aimed at different consumers. The Mi Max 3 is more of a budget option (~$250) for large screen lovers while the Honor Note 10 is more of a complete entertainment package (~$400) with better display, audio and gaming experience, at a higher price tag.

The phablet has been in the news for about a month and will be officially unveiled on Tuesday.

Honor has released a new poster that teases a feature not mentioned in the TENAA listing. The new poster shows a block of melting ice with two speakers inside. We believe this means the Honor Note 10 will come with stereo speakers.

The Honor Note 8 released in 2016 doesn’t have stereo speakers, so this is definitely a big deal. Honor has made a smart decision by upgrading the audio since it is a large device which will mostly be used for playing games and watching videos.

The Honor Note 10 will come with a 6.95-inch AMOLED display and a Kirin 970 processor. It will be available in multiple storage variants such as 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM, 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM, 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM, 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM, and 8GB RAM + 512GB ROM.

The phone will have 16MP + 24MP dual rear cameras and a 13MP selfie camera. Out of the box, it will run EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and pack a massive 5000mAh battery. Leaks have shown that it will come in multiple color variants including a Rolls Royce Edition but TENAA only mentions two color variants – black and blue.

The phone is already available for pre-order on Huawei’s Vmall online store. However, only the 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM and 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM variants are available. The page also confirms the two available colors are Magic Night Black and Phantom Blue.

Although the TENAA listing of the battery capacity of the Note 10, Honor has today rolled out an official teaser to confirm that it will be arriving with a big battery of 5,000mAh capacity.

The below poster only confirms the exact size of the battery of Honor Note 10 and does not reveal any information on other specs. Recently, the large-screened Note 10 was spotted along with Nintendo Switch gaming console in a leaked photo. Like the Honor Play, the Note 10 is likely to arrive with support for 4D gaming experience.

The GPU Turbo technology that can accelerate the GPU of Kirin 970 by 60 percent will ensure that and offer optimum FPS on the Note 10. Moreover, a recent teaser of the smartphone has revealed that even though it will support a native resolution of 1080p, Honor’s A12K technology will make it possible of the phone to support 2K resolution through Artificial Intelligence. The highest configuration model of the smartphone is expected to feature 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of native storage. It is also speculated that the smartphone may feature an advanced heat dissipation feature for effectively cooling down the internal temperature. These features suggest that the Honor Note 10 could be designed to deliver immersive gaming experience.

The Note 10 is already listed with all its specifications on the website of China’s TENAA authority. However, the images of the phone have not yet surfaced on the Chinese regulatory body. The handset is all set to get unveiled on July 31. However, even before its official announcement, Jingdong Mall has opened its pre-sale. The listing of the Note 10 had initially carried an image showing its front design. The image has been replaced by another image that shows a handset covered with a red cloth. The screenshot of the JD listing that shows the front view of the Note 10 is now doing rounds on Weibo.

As it can be seen in the above screenshot, the Honor Note 10 features a tall aspect ratio screen. The side bezels are quite thin. The upper bezel has the front camera whereas the bottom one features the branding of the company. The TENAA listing of the smartphone has revealed that the handset will be housing a 6.9-inch AMOLED screen and it supports a resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels which indicates the display will offer an aspect ratio of 18.5:9.

Also, it will be available in storage choices such as 64 GB, 128 GB and 512 GB. The Kirin 970 SoC will be present under the hood of the Note 10. The smartphone would be also equipped with the company’s GPU Turbo graphics acceleration technology.

The Android 8.1 Oreo that is overlaid with EMUI 8.2 skin will come preinstalled on the Honor Note 10. The handset is expected to feature a vertical dual camera setup that will include 16-megapixel and 24-megapixel sensors. The frontside of the Note 10 will be featuring a 13-megapixel selfie shooter. The smartphone will be packed with 4,900mAh battery.

The Note 10 will be unveiled on July 31. As of this writing, there is no leak on the pricing of the phone. The Note 10 listing at JD reveals that Aug. 18 is its release date.

Ahead of its launch, the device has also made an appearance recently on China’s telecoms regulatory agency’s website – TENAA. The listing gave us an insight into the specifications of the device. One of the details revealed includes the presence of a 2220 x 1080p AMOLED display.

Before now, there were reports that Huawei has purchased a large inventory of 2K AMOLED display panels from Samsung and it was speculated to be for use on the Honor Note 10. That seems not to be the case but there’s a catch. Some internet users have disclosed via a post on Baidu that Huawei plans to utilize a new technology known as AI2k on the Honor Note 10. As suggested by the name, the technology makes use of Artificial Intelligence in order to enable the 1080p resolution display on the device to achieve 2K image quality. A teaser poster released by Honor had earlier shown the Note 10 would come with artificial intelligence.

The 1080p display which the device is expected to feature ordinarily helps in reducing CPU and GPU load as well as improving battery life. But with this new technology, the display would be able to offer more than 1080p resolution. This could be done in a way similar to what Nvidia did in 2014 with its Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR) which offers 4K quality on a 1080p resolution. We’ll have to wait to find out how the technology works when it is unveiled. The Honor Note is also tipped by Netizens to feature some other “scary” technology which will meet with us on July 31.

The upcoming smartphone, Honor Note 10, which is the successor of the Honor Note 8 that was launched back in 2016, has now been certified by TENAA in China.

The smartphone with model number RVL-AL09 has passed through TENAA, confirming the phone’s specifications. The listing reveals that the device will feature a massive 6.95-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 2220 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and 18.5:9 aspect ratio.

While the 18.5:9 aspect ratio is common for Samsung smartphones, this is the first time Honor is opting for such screen aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 2.4GHz octa-core processor. While the listing does not reveal which processor is powering the phone, it is likely to be the company’s own HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC. It will pack up to 8GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.

As for the photography, there’ll be a dual rear camera setup with a 16MP primary sensor with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, phase detection autofocus and a 24MP secondary sensor with f/1.8 aperture. On the front side, the listing reveals a 13MP snapper.

Along with the Face Unlock support, the device also comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor for added security. Connectivity options on the device include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C.

On the software front, the smartphone will be running on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own custom interface EMUI 8.2 on top, which comes with several artificial intelligence-based features. The device will drive power from a 4,900mAh battery which also supports fast charging.

The Honor Note 10 is expected to be available in several color options, including Black, Silver, Red, Yellow, and Blue along with two gradient colors. The China-based company has also reportedly teamed up with Rolls Royce Holdings Plc for a special Honor Note 10 Rolls Royce Edition.

The device has been in the news in recent weeks with leaks covering specs, color variants, and a special Rolls Royce Edition. Now live photos of the device have surfaced and we get to have a good look at the display.

The Honor Note 10 is said to pack a 6.9-inch AMOLED screen. That is the same size as Xiaomi’s Mi Max 3 which launches tomorrow. However, these live photos of the Note 10 show the device is wider than that of the Mi Max 3.

[envira-gallery id=”201943″]

So if they do have the same screen size why does the Honor Note 10 look wider? We came up with two plausible reasons. First, the angle the photos were taken makes it appear so. Second, the Honor Note 10 doesn’t have an 18:9 aspect ratio.

If you remember, the Huawei Mate 10 doesn’t have an 18:9 aspect ratio but it has smaller bezels more or less the size of the Mate 10 Pro which has an 18:9 aspect ratio. We want to believe the same design has been used for the Honor Note 10.

In the pictures, the phone is shown side-by-side with the Nintendo Switch. The Switch has a 6.2-inch screen but thanks to the huge bezels surrounding it, it is bigger than the Honor Note 10.

READ MORE: Honor 9N launch to take place on July 24

The bezels on the Honor Note 10 are small and the display has curved corners. The top bezel is home to a camera, sensors, and earpiece while the bottom has the Honor logo. There is no image of the rear.

When the Honor Note 10 launches, it will come with a Kirin 970 processor, 6GB of RAM, and EMUI 8.1.

The latest report from China says Honor is partnering with British-owned Rolls Royce Holdings Plc for an Honor Note 10 Rolls Royce Edition. Images of the said phone have surfaced online already.

The Honor Note 10 Rolls Royce Edition will come in Mirror Silver with the Rolls Royce Logo engraved on the rear. Above the logo sits a vertical arrangement of two cameras, a LED flash, and a fingerprint scanner. There is also Honor’s own logo at the bottom of the phone.

The source says the Honor Note 10 Rolls Royce Edition will sell for ¥9998 (~$1495). For that price, we expect more than just a Rolls Royce logo on the rear of the device.

The first one is the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 that will be debuting on July 19 and the Honor Note 10 is the other smartphone. Honor is yet to confirm on Note 10’s launch date, but its arrival seems to be close at hand since its reservations have started on JD. Leaked photos showing the rear side of the Note 10 had surfaced in the previous week, but its front design has remained a mystery. A leaked image of the smartphone has surfaced on Weibo to reveal its notch-less front design.

A recent report has revealed that Honor has managed to sell 3 million units of Honor 10 smartphone in just two months since its launch in May. Such is the popularity of the Honor 10 that features a notched screen. Rumors have claimed that the upcoming Note 10 may also feature a notched display since it will be arriving as a larger version of the Honor 10. However, the newly spotted leaked image of the alleged Honor Note 10 reveals that it will be equipped with a notch-less screen.

The above image shows the top and bottom bezels of the alleged Note 10 are quite slim. Also, the side bezels are almost non-existent. The smartphone seems to be sporting a massive screen with a tall aspect ratio. Recent reports have revealed that the Note 10 has a 6.9-inch S-AMOLED screen that produces an aspect ratio of 18:9 and Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels.

There are some elements on the image that suggests that it could be a photoshopped image. The Honor logo on the bottom bezel is a bit weird. Also, the temperature of Beijing on July 5 is around 14 to 20 degrees C which seems to be strange as the usual temperature of the country is around 26 to 30 degrees C.

It will be fueled by 6,000mAh battery with 5V/4.5A. The handset will be coming with an internal storage of 128 GB. For photography, it is expected to feature 24-megapixel + 16-megapixel dual camera setup and a front-facing camera of 16-mgepixel.

The Honor Note 10 is likely to release in the market on July 26. Previous rumors have revealed that the smartphone will be featuring a Super AMOLED display. The Kirin 970 SoC will be preset under the hood of the device.
The arrival of the Note 10 may not be far away as JD has started receiving its reservations. The product page mentions that the last date to reserve the smartphone is July 25 which suggests that the smartphone could be available for buying from July 26. The Note 10’s listing on JD does not contain any information on its pricing.

Honor’s President has recently claimed on Weibo that the company has been working on the Honor Note 10 since the past two years. The smartphone will be arriving as a successor for Note 8 from 2016 since the company did not launch a smartphone with Note 9 moniker in 2017. The Chinese manufacturer is likely to confirm on its official launch in the next few days.

The device is the Honor Note 10 and a teaser poster was released today. Now the device has been seen on Geekbench.

The Honor Note 10 was benchmarked as the Huawei RVL-AL09. The benchmark site reveals it is powered by a 1.84GHz octa-core processor with 6GB of RAM.

Although it doesn’t mention the name of the processor, it is the Kirin 970 since this is the same clock-speed and cores for other Kirin 970 devices like the Mate 10 Pro. Their benchmark scores are also similar.

The Honor Note 10 scored 1901 and 6818 points in the single-core and multi-core tests according to the benchmark results. It is also running Android 8.1 Oreo.

Now, the company has teased this upcoming smartphone with a poster on Weibo.

While the phone’s poster reveals that the phone launch event will take place in Beijing, China, the company has not revealed more details related to the phone’s launch, including the date and timing. Honor says that the Note 10 is the company’s annual flagship smartphone and will come with Honor’s new technology.

The text accompanying the poster suggets that the company is done with the 9 moniker for its smartphones and now it’s time for the 10. Recently leaked images of the smartphone suggets that it will sport a premium design and wil come with a glass panel curved towards the edges. There is a possibility that the back panel of the phone could be made out of ceramic. Further, the device seems to have a metallic frame.

On the back side, the device is sporting a dual camera setup, stacked vertically and placed in the top-center position, along with an LED flash. There’s also a fingerprint sensor placed below the camera module.

The smartphone is expected to come with a massive 6.9-inch Super AMOLED full-screen display and is also rumored to feature a notch on top of the display, in line with the recent trend in flagship smartphones. However, there is no confirmation if the phone will have a notched display.

Under the hood, the device is expected to be powered by the company’s own HiSilicon Kirin 970 octa-core processor. Further, the phone will also come with Huawei’s GPU Turbo technology that boosts the performance of GPU by 60 percent.

While the company has not yet announced the launch date, reports indicate that the Honor Note 10 could launch in late July or early August to take on the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 that is slated to launch on 9th August.

Fresh photos of the Honor Note 10 smartphone has appeared on Weibo today. The appearance of the rear panel of the Note 10 suggests that it will be sporting a premium design.

The new images of the Honor Note 10 reveals that it will be arriving with a glass panel that seems to be curved towards the edges. There is a possibility that the back panel of the phone could be made out of ceramic. It is equipped with a metallic frame.

Most of the Honor phones that have launched so far either have vertical or horizontal arrangement for the dual rear cameras at their top-left corner. However, the Note 10 seems to be sporting a vertical dual camera setup at the center of the upper portion of the back panel. An LED flash and a fingerprint scanner are also placed under the dual camera setup.

The reason why this phone is being called Honor Note 10 is that it has the name “Ravel” mentioned on the back. A recent report had revealed that the Note 10 could be codenamed as Ravel. Before the launch of the Huawei P20 Lite smartphone, its leaked images had carried the “Shirley” name on its rear.

Unfortunately, the new leak has no images to reveal the front design of the phone. Some rumors have claimed that the Note 10’s massive screen may feature a notch, but there is no information available to confirm on its front design.

Read More: Honor Play Review – A Solid TURBO GPU Smartphone!

The Note 10 could be fueled by the Kirin 970 as it expected to arrive as a flagship phone. It is very likely to arrive with GPU Turbo that boosts the performance of GPU by 60 percent. The leakster who has shared the above images of the Note 10 on Weibo claims that its arrival is likely to coincide with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9 that is slated to go official on Aug. 9.

It is advisable to wait for the TENAA listing or other reliable leaks to confirm on its specs.

Original Post: Yesterday, Honor’s President Zhao Ming had confirmed that the Honor Note 10 is an upcoming smartphone from the company. Past reports have only revealed that the Note 10 houses a 6.9-inch Super AMOLED display while rest of the specs have remained a mystery. Today, fresh screengrabs from the official honor.cn website have appeared on Weibo. The leaked screenshots have revealed some really vital information on the specs and design of the phone.

The new images reveal that the Honor Note 10’s 6.9-inch AMOLED display will carry support for 2K resolution. The Kirin 970 SoC will be driving force of the smartphone. For enhanced graphics performance, the handset will be arriving with Huawei’s GPU Turbo technology.

The Honor Note 10 will be featuring 6 GB of RAM and a native storage of 128 GB. For photography, there will be a pair of 16-megapixel AI dual camera. The handset will be housing a behemoth battery of 6,000mAh capacity that will be enabled with support for fast charging technology.

The Honor Note 10 seems to be sporting a metal unibody design with white colored front panel and a gold rear. The back panel features a horizontal dual camera setup and a fingerprint sensor. The smartphone seems to be equipped with a tall aspect ratio supporting screen as it is surrounded by thin-sized bezels. Hence, the massive 6.9-inch display of the phone may carry support for an aspect ratio of 18:9.

The upper bezel seems to be featuring a dual selfie snapper along with an earpiece and another sensor. The new images debunk the rumors that had claimed that the Note 10 will be coming with a notched display.

There is no confirmation on the authenticity of the above images. Hence, it advisable to digest the report with a grain of salt. The launch date of the Note 10 is yet to be confirmed. It seems that the handset will go official within the current quarter of 2018.

It seems that Zhao has today confirmed the name of the big-screen phone as he has revealed that the Honor Note 10 is the next smartphone from the company. He has also claimed that the firm has been working on it since the past two years.

The Honor Note 9 was expected to succeed the Note 8 phone that was made official in 2017. However, now that Zhao has confirmed Honor Note 10 moniker, it seems that the Chinese manufacturer has skipped the Note 9 name for the upcoming Honor Note phone.

The Honor Note 8 featured a massive 6.6-inch Super AMOLED screen. Hence, the Note 10 is likely to house a bigger display. It was recently leaked that the upcoming Honor Note 10 that is codenamed as Ravel is fitted with a 6.9-inch S-AMOLED display. It is being speculated that it Note 10’s massive screen may feature a notch.

The Honor Note 10 could be a flagship phone that will be driven by Kirin 970 SoC. The Honor phablet is very likely to born with GPU Turbo technology that offers 60 percent improved graphics performance.

There is no information available on the other specs of the phone. The recently unveiled Honor 10 GT is the first smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer to feature 8 GB of RAM. The power packed Honor Note 10 may also include 8 GB of RAM. The upcoming Mi Max 3 that has a 6.99-inch display will be housing a 5,500mAh battery. Hence, the Honor Note 10 is likely to packed with a huge battery.

The original Chinese text of the above shown Weibo post suggests that some other products will be also unveiled alongside the upcoming Honor Note smartphone. Rumors have it that the company may also Magicbook 2 notebook at the Note 10 unveil event. Since Zhao has confirmed the existence of the Note 10, its launch may not be far away.

The Honor Note series is the line-up containing the biggest phablets of the Chinese company, but last year, there were no devices from this series launched in the market. Now, it looks like the company is planning to switch from the Note 8 to the Honor Note 10 directly as a photo leak has just revealed the existence of a new big Honor phablet.

Recently, we learned that Samsung supplied new panels to Huawei for a phablet. The panels had a size of 6.9 inches and the Super AMOLED technology. After this news, everyone thought the panels belong to the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 which will be probably launched in October. But according to leaks, a Honor device codenamed Ravel is coming with a 6.9-inch display, and that is probably the Honor Note 10. Further, Honor’s president has recently revealed on Weibo that the company is planning to release a bigger version of the Honor 10 that he has been using for a while.

Given that Honor Note 10 will probably be a bigger variant of the H10, we expect it to come with a flagship-level Kirin 970 SoC, an octa-core chipset by Huawei running at a max frequency of 2.4 GHz. It will also come with an 18:9 or 19:9 display. Its predecessor, the Honor Note 8 had a 6.6-inch panel in the classic 16:9 format with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Just like the upcoming device, even the Note 8 had a Super AMOLED display, and this makes the hypothesis even more reliable. It came with 4 GB of RAM and 32, 64 or 128 GB of internal storage depending on the chosen configuration, while on the back side it had a single 13 MP camera with a f/2.0 aperture and OIS.

Since the report had also claimed that the South Korean company would be supplying the OLED screens by the end of Q3, it was speculated that the Mate 20 Pro arriving in October could be featuring the huge 6.9-inch display. A leaked photo of a consignment that has surfaced today reveals that the behemoth display will be used on an upcoming Honor phone that is codenamed as Ravel.

After launching the Honor 8 in June 2016 with 5.2-inch IPS LCD display, the company had released Honor Note 8 with 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display. In 2017, Honor had launched the Honor 9 smartphone that featured a 5.15-inch IPS LCD screen. However, there was no follow up “Note” for the Honor 9. There is a possibility that the 6.9-inch phone could belong to a mysterious Honor Note series smartphone. Hence, it is likely that this phone may get official Honor Note 10. Some Chinese tech sites are also referring it to as Honor Note 9.

Last week, George Zhao, Honor’s President had said on Weibo that he has been using the Honor 10 as well as another Honor phone with large-sized display. It is now being speculated that the latter could be the mysterious Honor with 6.9-inch S-AMOLED screen.

There is no information available on the specs of the upcoming Honor Note phone. Since it is expected to arrive as a flagship smartphone, it is likely to feature the Kirin 970. Huawei has recent recently launched the Honor Play and Honor 9i smartphones with GPU Turbo technology.
