Honor will launch a string of products beginning in July 2023. The Honor X50 will signpost the launch in July, followed by the Magic V2 and Pad V8 Pro in August. The products will launch first in the local market of China.

Honor had been rumored to be working on an X-series phone (likely the X50), a foldable (Magic V2), and a tablet. A Chinese tipster has now revealed the possible release dates for the three models. Some of the Honor models have been spotted on Chinese certification platforms, indicating an impending release. One of the models is the X50 with model number ALI-AN00.

It has also been rumored that Honor’s next tablet will be named the Honor Pad V8 Pro. It is rumored to come with a higher chipset than the Dimensity 8020 in its predecessor. Recall that the Honor Pad V8 was announced last April. The third model rumored by the tipster for launch in August is the Magic V2 foldable smartphone. The Magiv V2 is tipped to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2/ Gen 2 SoCs.

As per the Honor X50, there are a few key specs of the model that have been pieced together. It will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 with a RAM/ storage configuration of 16GB/ 512GB. A 5,700mAh battery provides juice for the phone and it supports 35W charging.

The Magic V2 will run on MagicOS 7.1 which is based on Android 13. The phone will feature a 108MP main camera and an 8MP front camera.

Honor is yet to release any statement on the rumored launch and pricing information for the models are lacking.

A few days ago, Honor launched its latest tablet in its home market China, dubbed Honor Pad V8 Pro. This new premium tablet from the brand comes with a high refresh rate, a big-capacity battery, and more.

Now, the Honor Pad V8 Pro is available for purchase in the Chinese market, with the base model priced at 2,599 yuan. However, for the initial period of the sale, the device will be available for a discounted price of 2,499 yuan (~$360).

The base model with 8GB RAM and 12GB storage costs 2,599 yuan (~$374), while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model is priced at 2,899 yuan (~$417). The top-end model with 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage is priced at 3,299 yuan (~$475).

As for the specifications, the Honor Pad V8 Pro features a 12.1-inch LCD display, offering a 2.5K screen resolution, 600 nits brightness, and slim bezels around the screen. It is the world’s first tablet to feature a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate and IMAX Enhanced certification that allow users to stream IMAX Enhanced titles.

Under the hood, it comes powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor, coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. The tablet is also compatible with Magic Pencil 3 and Smart Touch keyboard for expanding the use case.

In the camera department, there’s a 13-megapixel camera sensor with an LED flash on the back of the device, while on the front side, the device is equipped with a 5-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

The tablet runs the company’s own MagicOS 7.0 custom user interface on top of the Android operating system. It is powered by a 10,050mAh battery that comes with support for 35W fast charging.

Honor Pad V8 Pro has launched in China today. It has debuted alongside the Honor 80 GT smartphone. The tablet packs some premium specifications including a high refresh rate, Dimensity processor, and a big battery. Read on to know what the Honor Pad V8 offers out of the box.

The Honor Pad V8 Pro boasts a 12.1-inch LCD display bearing a 2.5K resolution, 600 nits brightness, and slim bezels around the screen. There is natural light eye protection technology. For audiophiles, the device is equipped with eight speakers for an immersive audio experience.

The tablet is going to offer some powerful hardware specifications like the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 8100 5G chipset. Now, ahead of the official launch, key specifications of the forthcoming tablet have been leaked online. Known tipster Digital Chat Station on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo has leaked the specifications of the Honor Tablet V8 Pro.

According to the tipster, the Honor Tablet V8 Pro will offer a gorgeous 12.1″ inches large display with 2560*1600 pixel resolution and a whopping 144Hz fast refresh rate support. The display refresh rate is surely going to work like a charm. Moreover, it has been said that it will be powered by the MediaTek Dimesnity 8100 5G chipset coupled with 8GB and 12GB of RAM options. The Honor has enabled the support for 35W fast wired charging for the battery. This would ensure that your battery charges at a faster rate. However, this is going to be quite slow as compared to smartphones, obviously because the battery size is larger here. The device is said to boot up on MagicOS 7.0 right out of the box. The tablet will measure the dimension of 277*178.95*6.8mm. So that was it about the specifications of the upcoming tablet shared by the tipster.

There are still unanswered questions regarding the camera department, build, and display type. However, we are confident that it will include an OLED display. A 50-megapixel primary camera sensor may be used in a dual rear camera setup on the back of the device. So far, the brand has confirmed many of the specifications and features. Six of these features will be making their debut on a tablet for the first time in the world. So let’s check out the details.

Starting with the display, the Honor Pad V8 Pro will be the first 12.1-inch tablet to arrive with an IMAX Enhanced-certified panel. This essentially means that the tablet will be able to stream IMAX Enhanced titles from Tencent Video and iQIYI in the Intended quality.

This is a 2.5K resolution panel that will also be the world’s first to offer 144Hz resolution on this large of a display. And keeping up with the above mentioned features, it will also have a natural light eye protection technology baked in – also a first for a flagship tablet.

The Dimensity 8100 chip will be making its tablet debut on the Honor Pad V8 Pro. This is a solid mid-range chipset that gives previous-gen Snapdragon 888 a run for its money. The chip is based on a 6-nm node and comes with 4 Cortex-A78 clocked at 2.85GHz and the remaining 4 cores at Cortex-A55 at 2.00GHz. The SoC also has the Mali-G610 MC6 GPU clocked at 912 MHz included on the chipset, making it quite capable in gaming scenarios.

Talking about the software side of things, the Pad V8 Pro is the first tablet from the brand to feature the MagicOS 7.0 operating system. Lastly, the tablet also comes with the Honor SuperNote feature. This feature is essentially a helper for work and study. Through system-level integration, it enables features like recording while broadcasting, and changing video to notes in seconds.

Other than these features, the device is confirmed to feature thin bezels, and an eight speaker setup for immersive sound. The last bit of information available on the tablet confirms 33W fast charging support.
